□十三天佛最尊 萬物中貴不過人 一世眼□□□□ 妙□相勸入善門 只恐眾生造諸惡 經律法教□修身 食肉眾生短命保 緣佛慈悲徴諫君 莫道□□□□□ 善惡童子每知聞 好事惡事□□□ □□□□□□□ 造惡人多修福少 所以眾生長受貧 天堂快樂無人去 地獄苦處競來莽 不是閻羅王倉入 亦不是諸佛不慈悲 總緣慳貪難勸諫 百劫千生自□身 第一當官莫誑法 恃恃形勢乃欺貪 蠢動眾生皆惜命 負骨埋身不放□ 善惡加遭誑橫事 法外綾遲不敢嗔 狂取一錢徴萬倍 命終地獄受艱辛 富貴前生希施得 貧是慳貪宿業因 世人無慈好酒肉 百味調和勸六親 但著豬羊被宰殺 苦痛之聲上帝聞 眼光早已隨身落 四腳高低就血盆 將知食肉屠他命 地獄恐仇不可論 累月不曾得一類 終日虛沾吃肉人 死生猶來美生處 若個不覓命長存 輪迴六道受諸類 改頭換面不相知 但取眾生血肉吃 誰知父母及妻兒 一切豬羊皆惜命 惜命叫喚口中悲 緣業力劣負他命 百劫

□十三天佛最為尊貴,萬物之中再沒有比人更可貴的了。 用一世的眼光□□□□,用微妙的□相勸導人們進入善良之門。 只是擔心眾生造作各種惡業,所以用經律法教來□修身。 吃肉的眾生壽命短促,因為佛的慈悲而進諫。 不要說□□□□□,善惡童子每件事都知道。 好事惡事□□□,□□□□□□□ 造惡的人多修福的人少,所以眾生常常遭受貧困。 天堂快樂卻沒有人去,地獄的苦處卻競相前往。 不是閻羅王(Yama-rāja,地獄之主)的倉庫滿了,也不是諸佛不慈悲。 總因為人們慳吝貪婪難以勸諫,百劫千生自己□受。 第一,當官的不要欺騙佛法,仗恃權勢乃是欺騙貪婪。 蠢動的眾生都珍惜生命,揹負骨頭埋葬身體也不放□。 善惡相加遭遇誑騙橫禍,法外凌遲也不敢嗔恨。 狂取一錢卻要償還萬倍,命終之後在地獄遭受艱辛。 富貴是前生布施所得,貧窮是慳貪宿業所致。 世人沒有慈悲喜好酒肉,用各種美味調和來勸誘六親。 只是爲了豬羊被宰殺,苦痛的聲音上帝(此處指代天神)都聽聞。 眼光早已隨著刀落,四腳高低就進了血盆。 要知道吃肉就是屠殺其他生命,地獄的冤仇不可理論。 累月不曾得到同類,終日虛假地沾染吃肉的人。 死和生都爲了美好的生存之處,誰不尋求長命百歲呢? 輪迴六道遭受各種類別,改頭換面互不相識。 只取眾生的血肉吃,誰知道那是父母和妻兒? 一切豬羊都珍惜生命,珍惜生命地叫喚口中悲鳴。 因為業力低劣揹負其他生命,百劫償還。
【English Translation】 English version Verses in Praise of Buddha-Recitation by Dharma Master Dao'an
The Buddha of the □thirteen heavens is the most venerable; among all things, nothing is more precious than humans. With the vision of a lifetime, □□□□, with subtle □ appearances, encourage people to enter the gate of goodness. Just fearing that sentient beings will create all kinds of evil karma, the teachings of the Sutras and Vinaya are used to □ cultivate oneself. Meat-eating sentient beings have short lives, because of the Buddha's compassion, I offer remonstrance. Don't say □□□□□, the good and evil children know everything. Good deeds and bad deeds □□□, □□□□□□□ Those who create evil are many, those who cultivate blessings are few, so sentient beings often suffer poverty. Paradise is joyful, but no one goes there; the suffering of hell is rushed to. It is not that Yama-rāja's (Lord of Death) storehouse is full, nor is it that all the Buddhas are not compassionate. It is all because people are stingy and greedy and difficult to persuade; for hundreds of kalpas and thousands of lives, they □ suffer themselves. First, officials should not deceive the Dharma; relying on power is deceiving greed. All wriggling sentient beings cherish life; carrying bones and burying bodies, they do not let □ go. Good and evil are added together, encountering deception and misfortune; even if they are slowly tortured outside the law, they dare not be angry. Madly taking one coin and demanding ten thousandfold repayment; after death, they suffer hardship in hell. Wealth and nobility are obtained from generosity in previous lives; poverty is due to stinginess and past karma. Worldly people have no compassion and love wine and meat; they use various delicious flavors to persuade their six relatives. Only for the sake of pigs and sheep being slaughtered; the sound of suffering is heard by God (referring to deities here). The eyes have already fallen with the knife; the four feet, high and low, enter the blood basin. Know that eating meat is slaughtering other lives; the grievances of hell cannot be argued. For months, one has not obtained a kind; all day long, one falsely contaminates those who eat meat. Death and life are all for a beautiful place to live; who does not seek a long life? Reincarnating in the six realms and suffering various kinds; changing faces and not knowing each other. Only taking the blood and flesh of sentient beings to eat; who knows that they are parents and wives and children? All pigs and sheep cherish life; cherishing life, they cry out in sorrow. Because of the inferior power of karma, they carry other lives; repaying for hundreds of kalpas.
千生不放衣 善惡皆將業鏡照 寸步驅逐入阿鼻 普勸眾生修萬行 今逢法教莫生疑 決定至心聞妙法 當來極樂佛為期
【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本: 千百次輪迴也無法擺脫這身業報之衣。 善惡行為都會被業鏡照得清清楚楚,哪怕只走一小步,也會被驅趕著墮入阿鼻地獄(Avici Hell,八大地獄中最苦之處)。 我普勸各位眾生廣修各種善行,如今有幸遇到佛法教誨,千萬不要心生疑惑。 下定決心至誠聽聞這微妙之法,將來在極樂世界與阿彌陀佛(Amitabha Buddha,西方極樂世界的教主)相會是可以期許的。
【English Translation】 English version: Through thousands of lifetimes, one cannot shed this garment of karma. Good and evil deeds will all be clearly reflected in the mirror of karma; even a single step can drive one into Avici Hell (the most painful of the eight great hells). I universally exhort all sentient beings to cultivate myriad good deeds; now that we are fortunate enough to encounter the Buddha's teachings, do not give rise to doubt. Resolve to listen to this wonderful Dharma with utmost sincerity; we can look forward to meeting Amitabha Buddha (the lord of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss) in the Land of Ultimate Bliss in the future.
