爾時喜王菩薩白佛言：「世尊，今此眾中，頗有菩薩摩訶薩得是三昧，亦得八萬四千波羅蜜門、諸三昧門、陀羅尼門者不？」

佛告喜王：「今此會中有菩薩大士，得是三昧，亦能入八萬四千諸波羅蜜，及諸三昧陀羅尼門。此諸菩薩於是賢劫中，皆當得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提。除四如來，於此劫中得成佛已。」

喜王菩薩復白佛言：「惟愿如來，宣此諸菩薩名字，多所饒益，安隱世間，利諸天人，為護佛法令得久住，為將來菩薩顯示法明，求無上道心不疲懈。」

佛告喜王：「汝今諦聽，善思念之，當爲汝說。」

「唯然世尊，愿樂欲聞。」

爾時世尊，即說諸佛名字：

The names of the one thousand Buddhas have been recited. In this Bhadrakalpa, the names of the Buddhas who appear in the world are as such. If a person hears the names of these thousand Buddhas, without fear of error, they will surely attain Nirvana. All wise people, upon hearing the names of the Buddhas, should be single-minded and not give rise to doubt.

懷放逸，勤行精進；無失是緣，還墮惡趣，受諸苦惱。安住持戒，隨順多聞，常樂遠離，具足深忍，是人則能值遇千佛。若持誦此千佛名者，則滅無量阿僧祇劫所集眾罪，必當得佛，諸三昧神通無礙智慧，及諸法門、諸陀羅尼。一切經書種種智慧，隨宜說法，皆當從是三昧中求。修習此三昧，當行凈行，勿生欺誑離於名利，勿懷嫉妒，行六和敬，如是行者，疾得三昧法。

【現代漢語翻譯】現代漢語譯本如果一個人放縱懈怠，不勤奮精進；不能保持正念，就會因為這些原因再次墮入惡道，遭受各種痛苦煩惱。如果一個人能夠安住于持守戒律，隨順學習佛法，常常喜歡遠離喧囂，並且具備深厚的忍辱之心，這樣的人就能值遇千佛（過去、現在、未來三世中出現的千位佛陀）。如果有人能夠持誦這千佛的名號，就能消除無量阿僧祇劫（極長的時間單位）所積累的各種罪業，必定能夠成佛，獲得各種三昧（禪定）、神通、無礙的智慧，以及各種法門和陀羅尼（總持）。一切經書中的各種智慧，以及根據不同情況宣說的佛法，都應當從這種三昧中求得。修習這種三昧，應當奉行清凈的行為，不要有欺騙和虛偽，遠離名利，不要懷有嫉妒之心，奉行六和敬（身和同住、口和無諍、意和同悅、戒和同修、見和同解、利和同均），像這樣修行的人，很快就能獲得三昧的法門。《現在賢劫千佛名經》

【English Translation】 English version If one is negligent and lax, not diligently practicing; if one loses mindfulness, due to these causes, one will fall into evil realms again, enduring various sufferings and afflictions. If one can abide in upholding precepts, follow the teachings of the Dharma, often delight in seclusion, and possess profound patience, such a person will be able to encounter the Thousand Buddhas (the thousand Buddhas appearing in the past, present, and future). If one can recite the names of these Thousand Buddhas, one can eradicate the various karmic offenses accumulated over countless asamkhya kalpas (extremely long units of time), and will surely attain Buddhahood, gaining various samadhis (meditative states), supernormal powers, unobstructed wisdom, as well as various Dharma gates and dharanis (mantras). All the wisdom in the scriptures, and the Dharma expounded according to different circumstances, should be sought from this samadhi. To cultivate this samadhi, one should practice pure conduct, without deceit or hypocrisy, stay away from fame and gain, not harbor jealousy, and practice the Six Harmonies (living together in harmony, speaking without contention, sharing joy in mind, practicing precepts together, understanding views together, and sharing benefits equally).
