開府儀同三司特進試鴻臚卿肅國公食邑三千戶賜紫贈司空謚大鑒正號大廣智大興善寺三藏沙門不空奉 詔譯
爾時,毗盧遮那世尊告金剛手言:「善哉,善哉!為諸修真言行菩薩者,說諸儀軌則。哀愍未來諸有情等,說念珠功德勝利。由聞如是妙意趣故,速證悉地。」
時,金剛薩埵菩薩白佛言:「唯然世尊!我今為說之。」
爾時,金剛薩埵菩薩而說偈言:
「珠表菩薩之勝果, 于中間絕為斷漏, 繩線貫串表觀音, 母珠以表無量壽, 慎莫驀過越法罪, 皆由念珠積功德。 硨渠念珠一倍福; 木槵念珠兩倍福; 以鐵為珠三倍福; 熟銅作珠四倍福; 水精真珠及諸寶, 此等念珠百倍福; 千倍功德帝釋子; 金剛子珠俱胝福; 蓮子念珠千俱胝; 菩提子珠無數福。 佛部唸誦菩提子; 金剛部法金剛子; 寶部唸誦以諸寶; 蓮花部珠用蓮子; 羯磨部中爲念珠, 眾珠間雜應貫串。 念珠分別有四種, 上品最勝及中下, 一千八十以為上, 一百八珠為最勝, 五十四

時,金剛薩埵菩薩(Vajrasattva)白佛言:『唯然世尊!我今為說之。』
爾時,金剛薩埵菩薩而說偈言:

The Vajraśekhara Yoga Rosary Sutra (Abridged from the Hundred Thousand Verse Great Commentary)
Translated by the Tripitaka Master Amoghavajra of the Da Xing Shan Temple, who was granted the title of Grand Master of Imperial Workshops, Special Advisor to the Emperor, Acting Minister of the Court of Imperial Sacrifices, Duke of Su of the State, with a fief of three thousand households, bestowed with purple robes, posthumously granted the title of Grand Commandant, and posthumously honored with the title of Greatly Aware, Rightly Enlightened, Greatly Wise.
At that time, the Bhagavan Vairocana Buddha addressed Vajrapani, saying: 'Excellent, excellent! For the sake of those Bodhisattvas who cultivate the practice of mantra, explain the various ritual procedures. Out of compassion for all sentient beings in the future, speak of the meritorious virtues and benefits of the rosary. By hearing such profound meanings, one will quickly attain Siddhi (accomplishment).'
Then, the Bodhisattva Vajrasattva said to the Buddha: 'So be it, O Bhagavan! I will now explain it.'
At that time, the Bodhisattva Vajrasattva spoke the following verse:
'The beads represent the supreme fruit of Bodhi (enlightenment), the breaks in between signify the cutting off of outflows (of defilements). The string represents Avalokiteshvara (the Bodhisattva of Compassion), the mother bead represents Amitayus (the Buddha of Infinite Life). Be careful not to transgress the Dharma with haste, all merits are accumulated through the rosary. A rosary of Tridacna bestows a hundredfold merit; a rosary of Sapindus wood bestows a twofold merit; A rosary made of iron bestows a threefold merit; a rosary made of refined copper bestows a fourfold merit; Rosaries of crystal, pearls, and various jewels, these rosaries bestow a hundredfold merit; A thousandfold merit is bestowed by the son of Indra (the king of gods); a rosary of Vajra seeds bestows a Koti (ten million) fold merit; A rosary of lotus seeds bestows a thousand Kotis; a rosary of Bodhi seeds bestows countless merit. For recitations pertaining to the Buddha family, use Bodhi seeds; for the Vajra family practices, use Vajra seeds; For recitations pertaining to the Jewel family, use various jewels; for the Lotus family beads, use lotus seeds; In the Karma family practices for rosaries, various beads should be interspersed and strung together. Rosaries are distinguished into four types: superior, supreme, medium, and inferior, One thousand and eighty beads are considered superior, one hundred and eight beads are considered supreme, Fifty-four'
珠以為中, 二十七珠為下類。 二手持珠當心上, 靜慮離念心專注, 本尊瑜伽心一境, 皆得成就理事法。 設安頂髻或掛身, 或安頸上及安臂, 所說言論成唸誦, 以此唸誦凈三業。 由安頂髻凈無間, 由帶頸上凈四重, 手持臂上除眾罪, 能令行人速清凈。 若修真言陀羅尼, 念諸如來菩薩名, 當獲無量勝功德, 所求勝愿皆成就。」
加持念珠貫串之法,一如《蘇悉地經》說。其瑜伽經但說其功能、理趣,不說相,應知。

【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本: 一百零八顆念珠為上品,五十四顆念珠為中品,二十七顆念珠為下品。 雙手持念珠置於心口之上,靜心禪慮,摒除雜念,使心專注於一境;本尊瑜伽,心境合一,皆能成就事理之法。 即使將念珠安於頭頂髮髻之上,或掛于身上,或安於頸上,或安於手臂上,所說之言論皆成爲念誦,以此唸誦清凈身、口、意三業。 由於安於頭頂髮髻之上,能清凈無間罪;由於佩戴于頸上,能清凈四重罪;手持或佩戴于手臂上,能消除各種罪業,能使修行之人迅速得到清凈。 如果修習真言(mantra)陀羅尼(dharani),唸誦諸如來(Tathagata)、菩薩(Bodhisattva)的名號,當獲得無量殊勝功德,所求一切殊勝願望皆能成就。 加持念珠貫串之法,完全依照《蘇悉地經》(Susiddhi Sutra)所說。而《瑜伽經》(Yoga Sutra)只說明其功能、理趣,沒有說明具體形相,應當知曉。 《金剛頂瑜伽念珠經》(Vajrasekhara Yoga Rosary Sutra)
【English Translation】 English version: One hundred and eight beads are of the highest grade, fifty-four beads are of the middle grade, and twenty-seven beads are of the lowest grade. Holding the rosary with both hands at the heart level, meditate quietly, eliminate distracting thoughts, and focus the mind on one state; the deity yoga, with the mind and state united, can achieve the Dharma of both practice and principle. Even if the rosary is placed on the topknot, or hung on the body, or placed on the neck, or placed on the arm, the words spoken all become recitations, and with these recitations, the three karmas of body, speech, and mind are purified. Because it is placed on the topknot, it can purify the uninterrupted karma; because it is worn on the neck, it can purify the four grave offenses; holding it in the hand or wearing it on the arm can eliminate all kinds of sins, and can enable practitioners to quickly attain purity. If one practices mantra (zhenyan) and dharani (tuoluoni), and recites the names of all Tathagatas (rulai) and Bodhisattvas (pusa), one will obtain immeasurable and supreme merits, and all supreme wishes will be fulfilled. The method of blessing and stringing the rosary is entirely in accordance with what is said in the 'Susiddhi Sutra' (Su Xi Di Jing). The 'Yoga Sutra' (Yu Jia Jing) only explains its function and principles, without explaining the specific form, which should be known.
