如是我聞:
一時,佛在舍衛國祇樹給孤獨園,與大苾芻眾俱。
爾時,佛告諸苾芻言:「苾芻!汝等當知所有信解力法,此法能證真實之理,即是如來無所畏法,唯佛能知。苾芻或有聲聞,作如是言:『我於此信解力法,如實了知,精進不虛,離諸塵垢。』又復而言:『我能善說,我善調伏,我當說法,今正是時,是為最勝。令他依止,如是真實,應當修學,應當勤行。』又復而言:『當如是知,如是之法,最尊最上,無有等等。當如是見,如是聞,如是覺,如是知。』」
佛告苾芻:「汝等當知,所有聲聞,作是言者,是即虛妄,非如是見,非如是聞,非如是覺,非如是知。何以故?此法即是諸佛真理,唯佛能解,不共聲聞之法。」
佛告苾芻:「信解法者,所謂如來五力、十力。何等為五?一者、信力;二者、進力;三者、念力;四者、定力;五者、慧力。信解之法,具此五力。又復如來、應供、正等正覺,具足如來十力,是能了知佛無上處,又復于大眾中作師子吼,善為眾生轉妙法輪。云何名為如

佛告訴比丘們:『你們應當知道,所有聲聞,如果這樣說,那就是虛妄的,不是像這樣見,不是像這樣聽,不是像這樣覺,不是像這樣知。為什麼呢?此法就是諸佛的真理,只有佛才能理解,不是聲聞所能共有的法。』
佛告訴比丘們:『信解法,就是如來的五力、十力。什麼是五力呢?一是信力;二是進力;三是念力;四是定力;五是慧力。信解之法,具備這五力。還有如來、應供、正等正覺,具足如來十力,是能夠了知佛的無上之處,又能在大眾中作獅子吼,善於為眾生轉妙法輪。』什麼是如
【English Translation】 English version The Buddha Speaks the Sutra of Faith, Understanding, Wisdom, and Power

Thus have I heard:
At one time, the Buddha was in the Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Park (Jetavana Anathapindika-arama), in Shravasti (舍衛國), together with a large assembly of Bhikshus (苾芻).
At that time, the Buddha told the Bhikshus, 'Bhikshus! You should know all the Dharmas of the power of faith and understanding. This Dharma can realize the truth, which is the Tathagata's (如來) fearlessness. Only the Buddha can know it. Bhikshus, perhaps there are Sravakas (聲聞) who say: 'I truly understand this Dharma of the power of faith and understanding. My diligence is not in vain, and I am free from all defilements.' And again they say: 'I can explain it well, I can subdue well, I should teach the Dharma, now is the right time, this is the most excellent.' Causing others to rely on it, like this is the truth, one should study and practice, one should diligently cultivate.' And again they say: 'One should know like this, this Dharma is the most noble and supreme, there is nothing equal to it. One should see like this, hear like this, perceive like this, know like this.'
The Buddha told the Bhikshus, 'You should know that all Sravakas who say this are speaking falsely. It is not like this seeing, not like this hearing, not like this perceiving, not like this knowing. Why? This Dharma is the truth of all Buddhas, only the Buddha can understand it, it is not a Dharma shared with Sravakas.'
The Buddha told the Bhikshus, 'The Dharma of faith and understanding is the five powers and ten powers of the Tathagata. What are the five powers? First is the power of faith (信力); second is the power of diligence (進力); third is the power of mindfulness (念力); fourth is the power of Samadhi (定力); fifth is the power of wisdom (慧力). The Dharma of faith and understanding possesses these five powers. Furthermore, the Tathagata, Arhat (應供), Samyak-sambuddha (正等正覺), is complete with the ten powers of the Tathagata, which can understand the unsurpassed state of the Buddha, and can roar like a lion in the great assembly, skillfully turning the wonderful Dharma wheel for sentient beings.' 來十力?所謂于處非處,如實了知。而處非處,若如實知,是為如來第一智力。而此智力,若諸如來、應供、正等正覺,具足智力,乃能了知佛無上處,于大眾中,作師子吼,善為眾生轉妙法輪。
「又復,如來智力於過現未來諸法行業因緣果報,皆如實知。如是如來,於過現未來諸法行業因緣果報,如實知已,是為如來第二智力。而此智力,若諸如來、應供、正等正覺,具足智力,乃能了知佛無上處,于大眾中,作師子吼,善為眾生轉妙法輪。
「複次,如來於禪定解脫三摩地三摩缽底乃至煩惱業苦,皆悉清凈,如實了知。如是如來,于禪定解脫三摩地三摩缽底乃至煩惱業苦,皆悉清凈,如實知已,是為如來第三智力。而此智力,若諸如來、應供、正等正覺,具足智力,乃能了知佛無上處,于大眾中,作師子吼,善為眾生轉妙法輪。
「複次,如來於諸眾生,種種根行,皆如實知。如是如來,于諸眾生種種根行,如實知已,是為如來第四智力。而此智力,若諸如來、應供、正等正覺,具足智力,乃能了知佛無上處,于大眾中,作師子吼,善為眾生轉妙法輪。

【English Translation】 English version: What are the Ten Powers of the Tathagata (Tathagata, 如來)? First, it is the real and true knowledge of what is 'possible' and 'impossible'. If one can truly know what is 'possible' and 'impossible', this is the first power of wisdom of the Tathagata. The Tathagata, Arhat (Arhat, 阿羅漢), Sammasambuddha (Sammasambuddha, 完全覺悟者) who possesses this power of wisdom can understand the unsurpassed state of the Buddha, roar like a lion in the assembly, and skillfully turn the wonderful Dharma wheel for sentient beings.

「複次,如來於種種界趣,皆如實知。如是如來,于種種界趣,如實知已,是為如來第六智力。而此智力,若諸如來、應供、正等正覺,具足智力,乃能了知佛無上處,于大眾中,作師子吼,善為眾生轉妙法輪。
「複次,如來於諸眾生所樂欲性,皆如實知。如是如來,于諸眾生所樂欲性,如實知已,是為如來第七智力。而此智力,若諸如來、應供、正等正覺,具足智力,乃能了知佛無上處,于大眾中,作師子吼,善為眾生轉妙法輪。

'Furthermore, the Tathagata (如來) truly knows all kinds of realms and destinies (various forms of life). 'Furthermore, the Tathagata can recall past boundless practices, such as one life, ten lives, a hundred lives, a thousand lives, and hundreds of thousands of lives, even immeasurable and boundless increasing and decreasing kalpas (aeons), such as the number of lives and kalpas, all beings' names, clans, food and drink, suffering and joy, length of life, or long dwelling, dying here and being born there, dying there and being born here, such forms, appearances, karmic functions, immeasurable and boundless past events, all can be recalled. 【English Translation】 English version: In the midst (of the assembly), He roars the lion's roar, skillfully turning the wonderful Dharma wheel (Dharmacakra, the Wheel of Dharma) for the benefit of all beings.
『Furthermore, the Tathagata (如來, one of the titles of a Buddha) with His pure divine eye (divyacakṣus, supernormal vision that can see through material obstacles and karma), surpassing the physical eye, observes all beings in the world, their birth and death, beauty and ugliness, nobility and lowliness, high and low status, good and evil destinies, and the deeds they have done. Even the various unwholesome deeds of body, speech, and mind that beings possess, slandering the virtuous and noble, and holding wrong views, doing unwholesome deeds, practicing unwholesome dharmas, all arise from wrong causes. Due to these wrong causes, after the end of their lives, they fall into evil destinies and suffer the pain of hell. Moreover, beings who practice the ten wholesome deeds with body, speech, and mind, do not slander the virtuous and noble, arise with right views, do various wholesome deeds, and practice various wholesome dharmas, all arise from right causes. Due to these right views, after the end of their lives, they are born in the heavens and become gods. The Tathagata knows all these dharmas as they truly are. Thus, the Tathagata, with His pure divine eye, surpassing the physical eye, observes all beings in the world, their birth and death, beauty and ugliness, nobility and lowliness, high and low status, good and evil destinies, and the deeds they have done, even the various unwholesome deeds of body, speech, and mind that beings possess, slandering the virtuous and noble, arising with wrong views, doing unwholesome deeds, and practicing unwholesome dharmas. 『Furthermore, the Tathagata, having exhausted all defilements, attains undefiled liberation (anāsrava-vimokṣa, liberation without outflows), liberation through wisdom (prajñā-vimokṣa, liberation through wisdom), and with His own supernormal powers, fully understands all dharmas, knowing 『My birth is exhausted, the pure conduct has been established, what needed to be done has been done, there is no more future existence.』 The Tathagata knows all these things as they truly are. Thus, the Tathagata, having exhausted all defilements, attains undefiled liberation, liberation through wisdom, and with His own supernormal powers,
了一切法,我生已盡,梵行已立,所作已辦,不受後有,如實知已,是為如來第十智力。而此智力,若諸如來、應供、正等正覺,具此智力,乃能了知佛無上處,于大眾中,作師子吼,善為眾生轉妙法輪。」
爾時,佛告諸苾芻:「是彼如來處非處力,若有問言:『于處非處,云何如來所有智力,皆悉見聞覺知,乃至成等正覺?』如是問者,當爲實答。
「又復,『所有一切眾生自業智力,云何如來以業智力,皆悉見聞覺知,乃至成等正覺?』若有問者,當爲實答。
「又復,『所有禪定解脫三摩地三摩缽底,云何如來以禪定智力,皆悉見聞覺知,乃至成等正覺?』若有問者,當爲實答。
「又復,『所有一切眾生,種種根性智力,云何如來以根性智力,皆悉見聞覺知,乃至成等正覺?』若有問者,當爲實答。
「又復,『所有一切眾生,種種信解智力,云何如來以信解智力,皆悉見聞覺知,乃至成等正覺?』若有問者,當爲實答。

『此外,所有一切眾生各自的業的智力,如來是如何以業的智力,全部見聞覺知,乃至成就正等正覺的?』如果有人問,應當如實回答。
『此外,所有禪定(Dhyana,冥想)、解脫(Moksha,從輪迴中解脫)、三摩地(Samadhi,專注的狀態)、三摩缽底(Samapatti,等至,與三摩地相關的更高層次的禪定),如來是如何以禪定智力,全部見聞覺知,乃至成就正等正覺的?』如果有人問,應當如實回答。
『此外,所有一切眾生,種種根性的智力,如來是如何以根性智力,全部見聞覺知,乃至成就正等正覺的?』如果有人問,應當如實回答。
『此外,所有一切眾生,種種信解的智力,如來是如何以信解智力,全部見聞覺知,乃至成就正等正覺的?』如果有人問,應當如實回答。
『此外,所有一切眾生,種種界的智力,如來是如何以界智力,全部見聞覺知,乃至成就正等正覺的?』如果有人問,應當如實回答。
『此外,所有一切眾生,對於喜好的智力,如來是如何以樂欲智力,全部見聞覺知,乃至成就正等正覺的?』如果有人問,應當如實回答。
【English Translation】 English version: Having realized all dharmas, my birth is exhausted, the pure conduct is established, what needed to be done is done, there is no more future existence. Having truly known this, this is the tenth power of knowledge of the Tathagata (如來,one who has thus come). If the Tathagatas (如來,one who has thus come), Arhats (應供,worthy of offerings), Sammasambuddhas (正等正覺,fully enlightened ones) possess this power of knowledge, they can fully understand the unsurpassed state of the Buddha, roar like a lion in the assembly, and skillfully turn the wonderful Dharma wheel for sentient beings.
At that time, the Buddha told the Bhiksus (苾芻,monks): 'Regarding the Tathagata's (如來,one who has thus come) power of knowledge of what is possible and impossible, if someone asks: 'In terms of what is possible and impossible, how does the Tathagata (如來,one who has thus come) possess the power of knowledge to see, hear, and be aware of everything, even to the point of attaining complete and perfect enlightenment?' If someone asks this, you should answer truthfully.
'Furthermore, regarding the power of knowledge of all sentient beings' own karma, how does the Tathagata (如來,one who has thus come) use the power of knowledge of karma to see, hear, and be aware of everything, even to the point of attaining complete and perfect enlightenment?' If someone asks, you should answer truthfully.
'Furthermore, regarding all Dhyana (禪定,meditation), liberation (解脫,freedom), Samadhi (三摩地,concentration), and Samapatti (三摩缽底,attainments), how does the Tathagata (如來,one who has thus come) use the power of knowledge of Dhyana (禪定,meditation) to see, hear, and be aware of everything, even to the point of attaining complete and perfect enlightenment?' If someone asks, you should answer truthfully.
'Furthermore, regarding the power of knowledge of all sentient beings' various faculties, how does the Tathagata (如來,one who has thus come) use the power of knowledge of faculties to see, hear, and be aware of everything, even to the point of attaining complete and perfect enlightenment?' If someone asks, you should answer truthfully.
'Furthermore, regarding the power of knowledge of all sentient beings' various beliefs and understandings, how does the Tathagata (如來,one who has thus come) use the power of knowledge of beliefs and understandings to see, hear, and be aware of everything, even to the point of attaining complete and perfect enlightenment?' If someone asks, you should answer truthfully.
'Furthermore, regarding the power of knowledge of all sentient beings' various realms, how does the Tathagata (如來,one who has thus come) use the power of knowledge of realms to see, hear, and be aware of everything, even to the point of attaining complete and perfect enlightenment?' If someone asks, you should answer truthfully.
'Furthermore, regarding the power of knowledge of all sentient beings' inclinations, how does the Tathagata (如來,one who has thus come) use the power of knowledge of inclinations to see, hear, and be aware of everything, even to the point of attaining complete and perfect enlightenment?' If someone asks, you should answer truthfully.'
「又復,『所有過去思念智力,云何如來以思念智力,皆悉見聞覺知,乃至成等正覺?』若有問者,當爲實答。
「又復,『所有一切眾生生滅等法,云何如來以天眼智力,皆悉見聞覺知,乃至成等正覺?』若有問者,當爲實答。
「又復,『所有漏盡智力,云何如來以漏盡智力,皆悉見聞覺知,乃至成等正覺?』若有問者,當爲實答。」
復告諸苾芻:「此處非處智力,我但為彼等持者說,而不為彼非等持者之所宣說。又此業智力,我但為彼等持者說,而不為彼非等持者之所宣說。又此禪定解脫三摩地三摩缽底智力,我但為彼等持者說,而不為彼非等持者之所宣說。又此一切眾生種種根智力,我但為彼等持者說,而不為彼非等持者之所宣說。又此一切眾生種種信解智力,我但為彼等持者說,而不為彼非等持者之所宣說。又此一切眾生種種界智力,我但為彼等持者說,而不為彼非等持者之所宣說。又此一切眾生樂欲智力,我但為彼等持者說,而不為彼非等持者之所宣說。又此宿命智力,我但為彼等持者說,而不為彼非等持者之所宣說。又此天眼智力,我但為彼等持者說,而不為彼非等持者之所宣說。又此漏盡智力,我但為彼等持者說,而不為彼非等持者之所宣說。」
佛告苾芻:「等

【English Translation】 English version 『Furthermore, 『How does the Tathagata (如來,one who has thus come) with the power of wisdom of recollection, completely see, hear, perceive, and know all past thoughts and mental powers, even to the point of attaining Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (無上正等正覺, unsurpassed perfect enlightenment)?』 If someone asks this, you should answer truthfully. 『Furthermore, 『How does the Tathagata (如來,one who has thus come) with the power of wisdom of the divine eye, completely see, hear, perceive, and know all phenomena of arising and ceasing of all beings, even to the point of attaining Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (無上正等正覺, unsurpassed perfect enlightenment)?』 If someone asks this, you should answer truthfully. 『Furthermore, 『How does the Tathagata (如來,one who has thus come) with the power of wisdom of the exhaustion of outflows, completely see, hear, perceive, and know all phenomena, even to the point of attaining Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (無上正等正覺, unsurpassed perfect enlightenment)?』 If someone asks this, you should answer truthfully.』 The Buddha further told the Bhikshus (苾芻,monks): 『The wisdom power of knowing what is possible and impossible, I only explain to those who possess Samadhi (等持,concentration), and not to those who do not possess Samadhi (等持,concentration). 持者是正道,非等持者是非道。是故,汝等咸應當知。」
佛說此經已,彼諸苾芻聞佛所說,信受奉行。

【English Translation】 English version: 『Those who maintain Samadhi (concentration) are on the right path, and those who do not maintain Samadhi are on the wrong path. Therefore, all of you should be aware of this.』
After the Buddha spoke this Sutra, those Bhikshus (monks) heard what the Buddha said, and faithfully accepted and practiced it.
