稽首歸依正等覺, 能度無邊大苦海。 恒以甘露潤群生, 令得涅槃我頂禮。 稽首歸依正法藏, 能止無邊苦惱因, 顯示過失利眾生, 令獲寂靜我頂禮。 稽首歸依大苾芻, 能與世間為福聚, 發行勤修安樂因, 善斷輪迴我頂禮。
愛別離最苦, 憂火鎮燒然, 若欲自安心, 端居作觀想。 譬如群鳥獸, 暫聚各分飛, 生死人亦然, 云何懷憂苦? 只自一有死, 眾人皆長生, 別離痛不任, 親姻須啼泣。 三界大輪迴, 無有免斯者, 平等受無常, 云何懷憂苦? 若人生貪愛, 孰知貪火燒, 如彼牦牛身, 愛尾遭人殺。 世人多迷醉, 欲逃險惡道, 設盡方便心, 不能免離苦。 如彼野獐鹿, 常被師子逐, 究竟不能逃, 云何懷憂苦? 大地及天上, 三界與四生, 未曾得見聞, 不受無常者。 亦如山野火, 焚燒草木時, 不擇花果林, 俱時成灰燼。 愚癡諸眾生, 顛倒生妄想

The Buddha Speaks of Dispelling Sorrow Sutra
Translated by Dharma Master Fa Tian, Minister of the Honglu Temple and Great Master of Spreading Teachings, under Imperial Decree, from the Tripitaka of the Western Regions
I bow in reverence and take refuge in the Samyak-saṃbuddha (Perfectly Enlightened One), who can ferry across the boundless sea of suffering. Constantly moistening all beings with nectar, enabling them to attain Nirvana, I prostrate. I bow in reverence and take refuge in the Dharma-skandha (Collection of Righteous Teachings), which can stop the cause of boundless suffering and affliction, Revealing faults to benefit sentient beings, enabling them to attain tranquility, I prostrate. I bow in reverence and take refuge in the Mahā-bhikṣu (Great Sangha of Monks), who can be a gathering of blessings for the world, Initiating diligent cultivation of the cause of happiness, skillfully severing the cycle of rebirth, I prostrate.
The most bitter is the sorrow of separation from loved ones, the fire of worry intensely burns. If you wish to pacify your own mind, sit upright and contemplate. Like flocks of birds and beasts, temporarily gathering and then scattering in different directions, So too are beings in birth and death, why harbor sorrow and suffering? Only oneself has death, while others all live long, The pain of separation is unbearable, relatives and kin must weep. The great cycle of the Three Realms, none can escape this, Equally subject to impermanence, why harbor sorrow and suffering? If people give rise to greed and love, who knows the fire of greed burns, Like the body of the yak, its tail is loved and it is killed. The people of the world are mostly deluded and intoxicated, wanting to escape the dangerous and evil paths, Even if they exhaust all expedient means, they cannot avoid suffering. Like the wild roe deer and deer, constantly chased by lions, Ultimately unable to escape, why harbor sorrow and suffering? The earth and the heavens, the Three Realms and the Four Births, Have never been seen or heard of, not subject to impermanence. Also like the fire in the mountains and fields, when burning grass and trees, Not choosing flower and fruit forests, all at once turning to ashes. Foolish sentient beings, with inverted views, give rise to false thoughts.
, 身繫無常繩, 無人能可解。 色界梵世中, 禪味為安樂, 亦如樹臨河, 不久風水壞。 百億轉輪王, 千萬天帝釋, 唸唸即無常, 如風吹燈焰。 過去大神仙, 五通心自在, 往復騰空行, 猶被無常取。 金剛堅固身, 尚自示寂滅, 凡識如芭蕉, 云何欲久住? 大地妙高山, 及以四大海, 劫壞亦歸空, 何況眾生趣! 龍居深海里, 眷屬常圍繞, 金翅鳥能食, 別離苦亦爾。 或人往他界, 欲避于無常, 如入摩竭魚, 口中求安隱。 如是欲色界, 及彼非非想, 未有於一物, 不被無常吞。 唯有正等覺, 是真依仗處, 信受汝諦聽, 能解諸憂惱。
如是我聞:
一時佛在舍衛國祇樹給孤獨園。
爾時世尊告苾芻言:「眾生無數,輪迴無邊,如蟻循環,無有窮盡。眾生貪愛,無明障閉,如陷泥中,而不能出。過去有情,輪迴往復,數不能知。苾芻!所有大地之土都聚一處,和為泥丸,大小如豆,數彼眾生無始劫來所生父母子孫,每一人下一泥丸,如是泥丸下盡,父母子孫數不能盡。苾芻!如是無邊輪迴眾生,貪愛無明,顛倒陷愛慾泥中,生死輪迴,不知其數,是

當時,世尊告訴比丘(bhiksu)們:『眾生無數,輪迴無邊,就像螞蟻循環一樣,沒有窮盡。眾生貪戀愛慾,被無明所矇蔽,就像陷入泥潭中一樣,無法脫身。過去的有情眾生,輪迴往復,數量無法知曉。比丘們!如果將所有大地的泥土都聚集在一起,和成泥丸,大小如豆,用來計算眾生從無始劫以來所出生的父母子孫,每一個人放下一顆泥丸,這樣泥丸放盡了,父母子孫的數量也無法數盡。比丘們!這些無邊輪迴的眾生,貪戀愛慾,被無明所矇蔽,顛倒地陷入愛慾的泥潭中,生死輪迴,不知道有多少,這就是……』
【English Translation】 English version: The body is bound by the rope of impermanence, and no one can untie it. In the Brahma world (Brahmaloka), the taste of meditation is the most peaceful, but it is also like a tree by the river, which will soon be destroyed by wind and water. Even the Chakravartin (Chakravartin) who owns hundreds of millions of territories, and the thousands of Indra (Indra), Their lives are impermanent in every moment, like a lamp flame swaying in the wind. In the past, those great immortals with supernatural powers, possessing the five supernatural powers, and with free minds, Who could travel back and forth in the sky, were still captured by impermanence. Even a body as strong as diamond will eventually show Nirvana, Ordinary people's consciousness is as empty as a banana tree, how can they live long? The earth, Mount Meru (Mount Meru), and the four great seas, Will also return to emptiness when the kalpa is destroyed, let alone the lives of sentient beings! Dragons live in the deep sea, and their families often surround them, But they will still be swallowed by the Garuda (Garuda), and suffer the pain of separation as well. If someone wants to go to other worlds to escape impermanence, It's like entering the mouth of a Makara (Makara), wanting to seek peace. Whether it is the pursuit of desire, or the attachment to the realm of Neither perception nor non-perception (Neither perception nor non-perception), Nothing can escape the swallowing of impermanence. Only the Buddha (Buddha) who has attained perfect enlightenment is the only place to rely on, Believe and accept the Buddha's teachings, listen carefully, and you can relieve all worries and troubles.
Thus I have heard:
At one time, the Buddha was in the Jetavana Anathapindika-arama (Jetavana Anathapindika-arama) in Śrāvastī (Śrāvastī).
At that time, the World Honored One told the bhikshus (bhiksu): 'Sentient beings are countless, and the cycle of reincarnation is boundless, like the circulation of ants, without end. Sentient beings are greedy for love and desire, and are blinded by ignorance, like being trapped in a mud pit, unable to escape. Past sentient beings, reincarnating back and forth, the number cannot be known. Bhikshus! If all the soil of the earth is gathered together and made into mud balls, the size of beans, to count the parents, children and grandchildren born by sentient beings from beginningless kalpas, put down a mud ball for each person, so that the mud balls are exhausted, and the number of parents, children and grandchildren cannot be counted. Bhikshus! These boundless reincarnating sentient beings, greedy for love and desire, blinded by ignorance, are upside down and trapped in the mud of love and desire, and the cycle of birth and death, do not know how many, this is...'
故令汝學斷輪迴。」
佛言:「苾芻!如是補特伽羅輪迴眾生以骨作聚,如妙高山,不壞不爛。如是無學聲聞,證四聖諦,了知此苦,真實為苦、苦滅,證苦聖諦。彼補特伽羅見此屍骨不知是苦,亦不能滅三界煩惱。若滅三界煩惱,證須陀洹不空法,決定得菩提。由於七生天、人之中,作斷輪迴,除滅煩惱。七生滿已,聖諦現前,正見智慧,滅盡余惑,到涅槃寂靜,彼補特伽羅方得解脫輪迴之苦!」
佛言:「苾芻!如人眷屬,互相愛樂。以貪愛故,廣造諸業,生死輪迴。譬如野象陷泥坑中,無有出期。又彼眷屬,如恒河沙,父母養育,皆如親子。至後世中,隨其報應,各各不同——或為僕從,或為冤家,互相瞋恨,欺辱打罵;或為傍類,互相食啖,或被殺害——如是種種,諸趣輪迴,如七仙眾,或聚或散;亦如天雨,生其水漚,或生或滅。如是眾生,愚癡大力,迷惑顛倒,不了輪迴;于其眷屬,妄生樂想,造種種業,未有須臾得清凈住。
「又彼有情,無始輪迴,入地獄中,所飲銅汁,過大海水;如彼豬狗,食不凈物,如妙高山。又彼有情,生死別離,愛戀泣淚,亦如海水。又彼有情,更相殺害,積聚彼頭,過梵天界,蟲食膿血,亦如海水。又餓鬼趣,以宿慳貪,受飢渴苦,如遇飲食即成煙焰。

佛說:『比丘!像這樣的補特伽羅(人),在輪迴中以骨頭堆積成山,就像妙高山(須彌山),堅固不壞。像這樣的無學聲聞(阿羅漢),證悟四聖諦,了知此苦,真實是苦,苦已滅盡,證得苦聖諦。那個補特伽羅(人)見到這些屍骨,卻不知是苦,也不能滅除三界(欲界、色界、無色界)的煩惱。如果滅除三界煩惱,證得須陀洹(入流果),不空耗佛法,必定能得到菩提(覺悟)。由於在七次往返于天界和人間,斷絕輪迴,除滅煩惱。七次生死期滿后,聖諦就會現前,以正見智慧,滅盡剩餘的迷惑,到達涅槃(寂滅)的寂靜境界,那個補特伽羅(人)才能解脫輪迴的痛苦!』
佛說:『比丘!就像人們的眷屬,互相愛戀。因為貪愛,廣泛造作各種業,導致生死輪迴。譬如野象陷入泥坑中,沒有脫身的期限。又像那些眷屬,多如恒河沙數,父母養育他們,都像對待親生子女一樣。到了後世,隨著各自的報應,各不相同——或者成為僕人,或者成為仇敵,互相憎恨,欺辱打罵;或者成為旁生(畜生),互相吞食,或者被殺害——像這樣種種,在各道中輪迴,就像七仙眾,時聚時散;也像天降雨水,產生水泡,或生或滅。像這樣,眾生愚癡而又充滿力量,迷惑顛倒,不瞭解輪迴;對於自己的眷屬,妄想快樂,造作種種惡業,沒有片刻能夠得到清凈安住。
『此外,那些有情(眾生),從無始以來就在輪迴中,在地獄中所飲的銅汁,超過大海的水量;就像豬狗,所食用的不凈之物,堆積如妙高山(須彌山)。此外,那些有情(眾生),經歷生死別離,因愛戀而哭泣流淚,也像海水一樣。此外,那些有情(眾生),互相殘殺,堆積他們的頭顱,超過梵天界,蟲子啃食膿血,也像海水一樣。此外,餓鬼道的眾生,因為前世的慳吝貪婪,遭受飢渴的痛苦,即使遇到飲食也會化為煙焰。』
【English Translation】 English version 『Therefore, I teach you to learn to cut off the cycle of rebirth.』
The Buddha said: 『Bhikkhus! Such a Pudgala (person), in the cycle of rebirth, accumulates bones into a pile, like Mount Meru (Sumeru), indestructible and imperishable. Such a non-learning Sravaka (Arhat), realizes the Four Noble Truths, understands this suffering, truly is suffering, suffering is extinguished, and attains the Noble Truth of Suffering. That Pudgala (person) sees these corpses and bones, but does not know it is suffering, nor can he extinguish the afflictions of the Three Realms (Desire Realm, Form Realm, Formless Realm). If he extinguishes the afflictions of the Three Realms, attains Srotapanna (Stream-enterer), does not waste the Dharma, and will surely attain Bodhi (Enlightenment). Because of seven rebirths in the heavens and among humans, he cuts off the cycle of rebirth, and eliminates afflictions. After seven rebirths are completed, the Noble Truths will appear, with right view and wisdom, extinguishing the remaining delusions, reaching the tranquility of Nirvana (Extinction), that Pudgala (person) can be liberated from the suffering of rebirth!』
The Buddha said: 『Bhikkhus! Just like people's relatives, loving each other. Because of greed and love, they widely create various karmas, leading to the cycle of rebirth. For example, a wild elephant falls into a mud pit, with no hope of getting out. Also, those relatives, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, parents raise them, treating them like their own children. In future lives, according to their respective retributions, they are different—some become servants, some become enemies, hating each other, insulting, beating, and scolding; some become animals, eating each other, or being killed—like this, in various realms of rebirth, like the Seven Immortals, sometimes gathering, sometimes scattering; also like rain from the sky, creating water bubbles, arising and ceasing. Like this, sentient beings are foolish and powerful, confused and deluded, not understanding rebirth; for their relatives, they falsely imagine happiness, creating various karmas, without a moment of pure abiding.』
『Furthermore, those sentient beings, from beginningless time, have been in the cycle of rebirth, the copper juice they drink in hell, exceeds the water of the great ocean; like pigs and dogs, the impure things they eat, pile up like Mount Meru (Sumeru). Furthermore, those sentient beings, experience separation of life and death, weeping tears of love, also like the ocean water. Furthermore, those sentient beings, kill each other, piling up their heads, exceeding the Brahma realm, worms eating pus and blood, also like the ocean water. Furthermore, beings in the hungry ghost realm, because of past stinginess and greed, suffer from hunger and thirst, even if they encounter food, it turns into smoke and flames.』
鬼報滿已,設生人中,貧窮飢困,種種苦惱,說不能盡。
「又彼有情,以修福善,生忉利天等境界殊勝,恒受快樂;貪愛熾盛,如火燒乾草,報壽盡時,即墮惡趣。譬如飛禽折其兩翼,剎那落地,受種種苦。是故汝等,學斷輪迴,速求解脫。」
佛言:「苾芻!譬如江河、大地、日月、星辰、須彌盧山及諸聚落世界,未壞而得久住,常在世間。今此經典亦復如是,世界未壞,法亦久住。于意云何?為與一切有情止息輪迴故。」
苾芻聞已,信受奉行。

【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本:鬼道眾生的業報滿了之後,如果轉生到人間,就會貧窮飢餓,遭受種種苦惱,簡直說也說不完。
『還有那些眾生,因為修習福德善業,轉生到忉利天(Trayastrimsa,三十三天)等境界殊勝的地方,恒常享受快樂;但是如果貪愛之心熾盛,就像火燒乾草一樣,等到福報享盡壽命終了時,就會墮落到惡道中。就像飛鳥折斷了翅膀,瞬間墜落地面,遭受各種痛苦。所以你們要努力斷除輪迴,儘快尋求解脫。』
佛說:『比丘(bhiksu,出家修行的男子)!譬如江河、大地、日月、星辰、須彌盧山(Sumeru,佛教宇宙觀中的聖山)以及各種聚落世界,在未壞滅之前能夠長久存在,常在世間。這部經典也是如此,世界未壞滅,佛法也能長久住世。你們認為如何?這是爲了讓一切眾生止息輪迴的緣故。』
比丘們聽了之後,都信受奉行。
《佛說解憂經》
【English Translation】 English version: When the karmic retribution of beings in the realm of ghosts is exhausted, if they are reborn among humans, they will be poor, hungry, and suffer all kinds of afflictions, which are too numerous to describe.
'Furthermore, those sentient beings who, through cultivating meritorious deeds and virtuous actions, are born in superior realms such as Trayastrimsa (忉利天,Thirty-three Heavens), constantly experience happiness; however, if their attachment and craving become intense, like fire burning dry grass, when their blessings are exhausted and their lifespan ends, they will fall into evil realms. It is like a bird breaking its wings, instantly falling to the ground, and suffering all kinds of pain. Therefore, you should strive to cut off the cycle of rebirth and quickly seek liberation.'
The Buddha said, 'Bhiksus (苾芻,monks)! Just as rivers, the earth, the sun, the moon, the stars, Mount Sumeru (須彌盧山,the sacred mountain in Buddhist cosmology), and various settlements and worlds can endure for a long time before they are destroyed, and constantly exist in the world, so too is this scripture. Before the world is destroyed, the Dharma will also abide in the world for a long time. What do you think? This is for the sake of stopping the cycle of rebirth for all sentient beings.'
Having heard this, the bhiksus accepted it with faith and practiced accordingly.
