如是我聞:
一時,婆伽婆住王舍大城耆阇崛山中。時,有無量百千萬億大菩薩眾圍繞如來,皆是大智,善權方便,勇猛精進;善能通達無字法門;善能清凈是處、非處;慚愧解脫羅網所覆,調伏諸根;以慈悲牙、以慚愧牙,愍念眾生;得大三昧,以智為首、善敬智母;猶如寶洲大寶之藏;皆悉善知善、不善法;覺三世事,一切成就;無字辯才,善達二空,得勝妙地;善學諸諦,通達實際;無邊勇健,無所執著;悉能通達自性上法;能善思惟實以不實二種法門;胎藏示生,永離生死;善覺秘密,善知諸相;應護諸國,得大名稱;皆悉復得勝名勝藏;得無言藏,永安隱眠;諸所施為,皆悉善樂;姓名普聞,離於三界;能救三界所住眾生;善覺真如,普示普賢;遍示其身,諸根清凈;善能覺達自身、他身;皆得成就明利智慧。所謂:勝響菩薩、法響菩薩、勝諸分菩薩、法眼菩薩、千相菩薩、辯聚菩薩、勝思惟菩薩、治地菩薩、治地際菩薩、深入地際響菩薩、地響菩薩、具辯菩薩、上積菩薩、華目菩薩、優缽羅目菩薩、頂髻菩薩、文殊響

【English Translation】 English version The Sutra of the Treasure Trove Without Words
Translated by Tripitaka Bodhiruci of Tianzhu (India) of the Yuan Wei Dynasty
Thus have I heard:
At one time, the Bhagavan (World-Honored One) was dwelling in Mount Grdhrakuta (Vulture Peak) in the great city of Rajagrha. At that time, there were immeasurable hundreds of thousands of millions of great Bodhisattvas surrounding the Tathagata, all of whom possessed great wisdom, were skilled in expedient means, courageous and diligent; skilled in penetrating the Dharma gate without words; skilled in purifying what is the proper course and what is not; ashamed and remorseful, liberated from the net of afflictions, subduing the senses; with the teeth of compassion and the teeth of shame, having compassion for sentient beings; having attained great Samadhi (meditative absorption), with wisdom as the foremost, skilled in revering the mother of wisdom; like a treasure island, a great treasure trove; all were skilled in knowing good and non-good dharmas; awakened to the affairs of the three times (past, present, and future), accomplishing all; with eloquence without words, skilled in penetrating the two emptinesses (emptiness of self and emptiness of dharmas), attaining the supreme and wonderful ground; skilled in learning the various Satyas (truths), penetrating reality; boundless in courage and strength, without any attachments; all were able to penetrate the Dharma of self-nature; able to skillfully contemplate the two kinds of Dharma, real and unreal; manifesting birth from the womb, forever departing from birth and death; skilled in awakening to secrets, skilled in knowing the various marks; should protect the various countries, attaining great renown; all were able to again attain supreme fame and supreme treasure; attaining the treasure of non-speech, forever sleeping peacefully; all actions performed brought goodness and joy; their names were universally heard, detached from the three realms; able to save sentient beings dwelling in the three realms; skilled in awakening to Tathata (suchness), universally demonstrating the vows of Samantabhadra (Universal Virtue); universally manifesting their bodies, with pure faculties; skilled in awakening to and penetrating their own bodies and the bodies of others; all were able to accomplish bright and sharp wisdom. They were: Bodhisattva Supreme Sound, Bodhisattva Dharma Sound, Bodhisattva Supreme Divisions, Bodhisattva Dharma Eye, Bodhisattva Thousand Marks, Bodhisattva Eloquence Assembly, Bodhisattva Supreme Contemplation, Bodhisattva Land Tamer, Bodhisattva Land Boundary Tamer, Bodhisattva Deeply Entering Land Boundary Sound, Bodhisattva Land Sound, Bodhisattva Possessing Eloquence, Bodhisattva Upper Accumulation, Bodhisattva Flower Eye, Bodhisattva Utpala Eye, Bodhisattva Topknot, Bodhisattva Manjushri Sound
菩薩。如是等菩薩摩訶薩不可算數,皆是童子,皆從他方不可觀察恒河沙等世界來集,一切皆住受法王職太子位處。
勝思惟菩薩,無量釋梵之所圍繞。普賢菩薩、虛空藏等,四大神王及有無量轉輪聖王之所圍繞。得大勢至、觀世自在菩薩,無量梵眾之所圍繞。不空見菩薩,多有無量毗沙門王之所圍繞。星宿王菩薩,無量星宿及余護世之所圍繞。復有破疑菩薩、滅一切障菩薩,自身示現如來之身,無量諸佛之所圍繞,及舍利弗、大目犍連、大迦葉等,一切悉是大阿羅漢。真練菩薩、勝思惟菩薩,無量天女之所圍繞。藥王菩薩、藥上菩薩,無量眷屬之所圍繞。
所有十方恒河沙等世界之中諸有日月,自恃威德生我慢者,一切皆悉來向佛所。到佛所已,于如來前,卻住一面,即見自身無有光明,猶如聚墨在於閻浮那提金邊。此諸日月,住如來前,不自顯現亦復如是。無心欲住,亦不欲說,無有威德,不能顯現。
那羅延等,無量諸天之所圍繞。大神龍神得叉迦阿那婆達多等諸大龍王,無量諸龍之所圍繞。善音乾闥婆王,有無量億乾闥婆眾之所圍繞。無厭足迦樓羅王,亦有七億迦樓羅眾之所圍繞,來至佛所。

【English Translation】 English version: Bodhisattvas, such countless Bodhisattva-mahāsattvas, are all youths, all gathered from other unobservable worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, all dwelling in the position of crown princes receiving the office of Dharma King. Victorious Thinking Bodhisattva (Śūraṅgama Bodhisattva), surrounded by immeasurable Śakras (Lord Indra) and Brahmās. Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, Ākāśagarbha Bodhisattva, and others, surrounded by the Four Great Heavenly Kings and immeasurable Cakravartin Kings. Mahāsthāmaprāpta Bodhisattva, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, surrounded by immeasurable Brahmā hosts. Amoghavajra Bodhisattva, surrounded by many immeasurable Vaiśravaṇa Kings. Having arrived at the Buddha's place, they stand to one side before the Tathāgata and immediately see that they have no light, like a mass of ink on the edge of Jambunada gold. These suns and moons, standing before the Tathāgata, cannot manifest themselves in the same way. They have no desire to stay, nor do they want to speak, they have no power and virtue, and cannot manifest themselves. Nārāyaṇa and others, surrounded by immeasurable devas. The great dragon gods Takṣaka, Anavatapta, and other great dragon kings, surrounded by immeasurable dragons. The Gandharva King of Good Sound, surrounded by immeasurable billions of Gandharvas. 眾圍繞,來至娑婆,持出世間諸供養具,來至佛所。彼諸菩薩,供養佛已,各各自坐蓮華座上。
爾時,有菩薩摩訶薩名勝思惟,來至佛所,即白佛言:「世尊!世尊若為聽許我者,我乃敢問如來二字。」
爾時,佛告勝思惟菩薩言:「聽汝所問,隨汝意問。如來不為一眾生故,此處成道,乃為汝等諸大龍象,我出於此。」
爾時,勝思惟菩薩白佛言:「世尊!何者一法,而是菩薩所除滅者?何者一法,而是如來所證覺者?」
爾時,世尊贊勝思惟菩薩摩訶薩言:「善哉,善哉!梵天!汝已淳熟無量善根,諸佛加持問此句義。善男子!汝今諦聽,善思念之,我為汝說。」
爾時,勝思惟菩薩禮如來足,頂戴而受。
佛言:「善男子!有一種法,菩薩應滅,所謂貪法。善男子!此是一法,應當永滅。善男子!復有一法,菩薩應滅,所謂瞋法。善男子!此是一法,應當永滅。善男子!復有一法,菩薩應滅,所謂癡法。善男子!此是一法,應當永滅。善男子!復有一法,菩薩應滅,所謂我見。善男子!此是一法,應當永滅。善男子!復有一法,菩薩應滅,所謂懈怠。善男子!此是一法,應當永滅。善男子!復有一法,菩薩應滅,所謂睡眠。善男子!此是一法,應當永滅。善男子!復有

這時,勝思惟菩薩對佛陀說:『世尊!哪一種法是菩薩應該去除的?哪一種法是如來所證悟的?』
這時,世尊讚歎勝思惟菩薩摩訶薩說:『好啊,好啊!梵天(Brahma)!你已經積累了深厚的善根,諸佛加持你來問這個句子的意義。善男子!你現在仔細聽,好好思考,我為你解說。』
這時,勝思惟菩薩頂禮如來的雙足,以頭頂戴受教。

【English Translation】 English version Surrounded by the assembly, they came to the Saha world (Saha world), bearing offerings of the world-transcending kind, and arrived at the place where the Buddha was. Having made offerings to the Buddha, those Bodhisattvas each sat upon their lotus seats.
At that time, there was a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva (Bodhisattva-Mahasattva) named Sheng Siwei (Sheng Siwei), who came to the Buddha and said to him, 'World Honored One! If the World Honored One would permit me, then I would dare to ask the Tathagata (Tathagata) about these two words.'
At that time, the Buddha said to the Bodhisattva Sheng Siwei, 'You are permitted to ask whatever you wish. The Tathagata did not attain enlightenment here for the sake of one being, but for the sake of you great dragon elephants (referring to Bodhisattvas with great power), I have appeared here.'
At that time, the Bodhisattva Sheng Siwei said to the Buddha, 'World Honored One! What is the one dharma (dharma) that a Bodhisattva should eliminate? What is the one dharma that the Tathagata has awakened to?'
At that time, the World Honored One praised the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva Sheng Siwei, saying, 'Excellent, excellent! Brahma (Brahma)! You have ripened immeasurable roots of goodness, and the Buddhas have blessed you to ask about the meaning of this sentence. Good man! Now listen carefully and contemplate it well, and I will explain it to you.'
At that time, the Bodhisattva Sheng Siwei bowed at the feet of the Tathagata, and received the teaching with the crown of his head.
The Buddha said, 'Good man! There is one dharma that a Bodhisattva should eliminate, namely greed (greed). Good man! This is one dharma that should be eliminated forever. Good man! There is also one dharma that a Bodhisattva should eliminate, namely hatred (hatred). Good man! This is one dharma that should be eliminated forever. Good man! There is also one dharma that a Bodhisattva should eliminate, namely ignorance (ignorance). Good man! This is one dharma that should be eliminated forever. Good man! There is also one dharma that a Bodhisattva should eliminate, namely egoism (egoism). Good man! This is one dharma that should be eliminated forever. Good man! 一法,菩薩應滅,所謂貪愛。善男子!此是一法,應當永滅。善男子!菩薩復應除滅一法,所謂無明。善男子!此是一法,應當永滅。」
爾時,勝思惟梵天白佛言:「世尊!何者是一法,而諸菩薩日夜防護?」
爾時,世尊語勝思惟菩薩言:「善男子!所謂菩薩,己所不欲,勿勸他人。善男子!若有善男子、善女人,護持此法,彼善男子、善女人,護持如來一切戒藏。何以故?善男子!愛自命者則不殺生、愛自財者不盜他物、愛自妻者不侵他妻。善男子!是等眾生,發如是意,言『我敬順如來正教。』彼善男子,常當勤心防護此法。以何義故?善男子!若有善男子、善女人,欲求無上正真等覺大菩提者,彼人悉是為樂故求,而無有求自身苦者,世間惟有樂受樂者。以是義故,我說此言。汝等當知,己所不欲,勿勸他人。善男子!此是一法,菩薩常當日夜護之。
「善男子!如汝所問,何者一法,而是如來所證覺者。善男子!無有一法,如來所覺。善男子!於法無覺,是如來覺。善男子!一切法不生,而如來證覺,一切法不滅,而如來證覺。
「複次,善男子!法性離二邊,而如來證覺。一切法不實,而如來證覺。善男子!如來善說業因緣,如來善證業因緣,一切法因緣所縛,而如來善覺。

『善男子!正如你所問的,哪一種法,是如來所證悟的?善男子!沒有一種法,是如來所覺悟的。善男子!對於法沒有覺悟,才是如來的覺悟。善男子!一切法不生起,而如來證悟;一切法不滅,而如來證悟。
『再者,善男子!法性(dharma-dhātu,指法的本性或真實性質)遠離二邊(指極端或對立的觀點),而如來證悟。一切法不真實,而如來證悟。善男子!如來善於解說業(karma,指行為及其結果)的因緣,如來善於證悟業的因緣,一切法被因緣所束縛,而如來善於覺悟。』
【English Translation】 English version: 'There is one dharma (law, teaching) that a Bodhisattva (enlightenment being) should eliminate, namely greed and attachment. Good man! This is one dharma that should be permanently eliminated. Good man! A Bodhisattva should also remove and eliminate one dharma, namely ignorance (avidyā, delusion or misunderstanding of the true nature of things). Good man! This is one dharma that should be permanently eliminated.'
At that time, Śreṣṭha-cintin Brahmā (Brahma of Superior Thought, a celestial being known for his profound contemplation) said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One! Which is the one dharma that all Bodhisattvas protect day and night?'
At that time, the World Honored One said to Śreṣṭha-cintin Bodhisattva: 'Good man! That is, what a Bodhisattva does not desire for himself, he should not encourage others to do. Good man! If there are good men and good women who uphold this dharma, then these good men and good women uphold all the precepts of the Tathāgata (the thus-gone one, an epithet of the Buddha). Why? Good man! Those who cherish their own lives will not kill living beings; those who cherish their own wealth will not steal from others; those who cherish their own wives will not violate the wives of others. Good man! These beings, generating such an intention, say, 'I respectfully follow the Tathāgata's true teachings.' This good man should always diligently protect this dharma. For what reason? Good man! If there are good men and good women who desire to seek the unsurpassed, right, and perfect enlightenment (anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi, the highest and complete enlightenment), they all seek it for the sake of happiness, and no one seeks suffering for themselves; in the world, there are only those who enjoy pleasure. For this reason, I have spoken these words. You should know that what you do not desire for yourself, do not encourage others to do. Good man! This is one dharma that Bodhisattvas should always protect day and night.'
'Good man! As you have asked, which is the one dharma that the Tathāgata has realized? Good man! There is no one dharma that the Tathāgata has realized. Good man! Non-perception of dharma is the Tathāgata's realization. Good man! All dharmas do not arise, and the Tathāgata realizes it; all dharmas do not cease, and the Tathāgata realizes it.'
'Furthermore, good man! The dharma-dhātu (the nature of dharma, the true nature of reality) is apart from the two extremes (referring to extreme or opposing views), and the Tathāgata realizes it. All dharmas are unreal, and the Tathāgata realizes it. Good man! The Tathāgata skillfully explains the causes and conditions of karma (actions and their consequences), the Tathāgata skillfully realizes the causes and conditions of karma, all dharmas are bound by causes and conditions, and the Tathāgata skillfully awakens to it.'
善男子!彼因緣者,猶如電光,而如來所覺,離因離緣。如來說言,無有業報,既成正覺而受之也。一切法廣博嚴藏,是如來所證。善男子!以何義故,說廣博嚴藏?善男子!所有世間、出世間智等,彼從何生?若彼智以真實觀正觀察時,般若波羅蜜轉為甚深,彼法爾時得名為藏。
「善男子!我亦復說一切諸法如幻如焰,是佛所覺。性相一味解脫之法,是佛所覺。所有性相一味解脫,是一切法廣博嚴藏。
「善男子!若善男子、善女人,復有一法,是佛所覺。善男子!所謂:諸法不去不來、無因無緣、無生無滅、無思不思、無增無減。善男子!若法畢竟自性法性非是自性,若法譬喻所不可說,若以名字亦不可說,此是一法如來所覺。」
說此廣嚴上王無字寶篋光嚴法門時,乃至得住十地菩薩,有微塵數眼不睹者,如是等眾,皆得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提心。如是等眾生,證阿羅漢果。復過此數眾生,舍地獄苦,生於天中。無量諸菩薩現百千萬諸三昧門。何況多說而無利益。
爾時,佛告羅睺羅言:「汝能受持我此所說正法義不?」
說此語時,以佛神力,恒河沙等諸世界中九億菩薩,從坐而起,即白佛言:「世尊!我等皆能持此法門,令於此間娑婆世界未來世中,為諸眾生流通不絕,知

在宣說這個廣嚴上王無字寶篋光嚴法門時,乃至得到安住十地( దశభూమి,Daśabhūmi,菩薩修行的十個階段)的菩薩,有像微塵數量一樣多的人沒有親眼見到,像這樣的眾人,都得到了阿耨多羅三藐三菩提心(Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi-citta,無上正等正覺之心)。像這樣的眾生,證得了阿羅漢果(Arhat,斷絕煩惱,達到涅槃的聖人)。又超過這個數量的眾生,捨棄了地獄的痛苦,生到天界之中。無量的菩薩顯現出百千萬種三昧門(Samadhi,禪定)。何況再說更多而沒有利益呢。
這時,佛告訴羅睺羅(Rāhula,佛陀的兒子)說:『你能夠受持我所說的這個正法義嗎?』

【English Translation】 English version: 『Good man!』 That condition is like lightning, but what the Tathagata (如來,Tathāgata, 'Thus Gone One' or 'Thus Come One', an epithet of the Buddha) realizes is apart from cause and condition. The Tathagata says that there is no such thing as receiving karmic retribution after attaining perfect enlightenment. The vast and profound treasury of all dharmas (法,dharma, teachings or laws) is what the Tathagata has realized. 『Good man!』 For what reason is it called the vast and profound treasury? 『Good man!』 Where do all the worldly and trans-worldly wisdoms, etc., arise from? If these wisdoms are correctly observed with true observation, then the Prajna Paramita (般若波羅蜜,Prajna Paramita, Perfection of Wisdom) transforms into the profound, and that dharma at that time is named a treasury.
『Good man!』 I also say that all dharmas are like illusions and flames, which is what the Buddha realizes. The dharma of oneness in nature and characteristics and liberation is what the Buddha realizes. All oneness in nature and characteristics and liberation is the vast and profound treasury of all dharmas.
『Good man!』 If a good man or good woman has another dharma that the Buddha realizes. 『Good man!』 That is: all dharmas neither go nor come, are without cause or condition, without birth or death, without thought or non-thought, without increase or decrease. 『Good man!』 If a dharma ultimately has self-nature, the dharma-nature is not self-nature, if a dharma cannot be spoken of in metaphors, if it cannot be spoken of with names either, this is one dharma that the Tathagata realizes.
When this vast, majestic, supreme king's wordless jewel casket of radiant dharma was being spoken, even the bodhisattvas (菩薩,Bodhisattva, an enlightened being) who had attained the tenth stage ( దశభూమి,Daśabhūmi, the ten stages of a Bodhisattva's practice), as numerous as dust motes, who had not seen it with their own eyes, all these beings attained the Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi-citta (阿耨多羅三藐三菩提心,Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi-citta, the mind of unsurpassed, complete, and perfect enlightenment). Such beings attained the fruit of Arhat (阿羅漢果,Arhat, a perfected person who has attained nirvana). Moreover, a number of beings exceeding this number abandoned the suffering of hell and were born in the heavens. Countless bodhisattvas manifested hundreds of thousands of samadhi (三昧,Samadhi, meditative absorption) gates. What need is there to say more that is without benefit?
At that time, the Buddha said to Rāhula (羅睺羅,Rāhula, the Buddha's son): 『Are you able to uphold the meaning of this correct dharma that I have spoken?』
When these words were spoken, by the Buddha's spiritual power, nine hundred million bodhisattvas in worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, arose from their seats and said to the Buddha: 『World Honored One! We are all able to uphold this dharma gate, so that in this Saha world (娑婆世界,Sahā world, the world we live in) in the future, it will flow continuously for the sake of all beings, knowing.』
是菩薩是智器者。」
爾時,四大神王白佛言:「世尊!我等亦能受持如來所說法義,令彼菩薩所求滿足,若於是中是智器者。」
爾時,世尊周遍觀察一切眾已,作如是言:「善男子!我非惟修微少善根而成正覺。彼諸眾生,若有能聞此正法者,彼亦非修微少善根。若能受持此廣博嚴上王無字寶篋法門,若能聞者,彼人則為已恭敬我,尊重讚歎。善男子!是善男子、善女人,則為兩肩荷擔菩提。彼人則得不斷辯才,得善清凈諸佛世界。命終之時,則得現見阿彌陀佛,聲聞、菩薩大眾圍繞,住其人前;亦見我身於此耆阇崛山王頂,及見此等諸菩薩眾。善男子!彼善男子、善女人,則為己得大法庫藏,而不可盡;得宿命智,不生惡道。
「善男子!我今說此一切世間所未曾有難信法門。善男子!若彼善男子、善女人,設有逆罪,以其善能讀誦、受持此勝法門,若自書寫、若勸人書,若自讀誦、勸人讀誦,若能自持、若勸人持。善男子!我說彼人,不見惡道,則為一切諸佛所記。彼諸菩薩皆得五眼,諸根具足,一切諸佛之所護念,一切菩薩之所攝受,令滅無量煩惱,業障即得清凈。
「善男子!我此所說最後言說,自我得道成正覺來,未說此言。」
佛說此經已,勝思惟等諸大菩薩,帝釋

【English Translation】 English version: 『These Bodhisattvas are wise vessels.』
At that time, the Four Great Divine Kings said to the Buddha: 『World Honored One! We also can receive and uphold the Dharma teachings spoken by the Tathagata (如來), fulfilling the requests of those Bodhisattvas, if they are wise vessels in this.』
At that time, the World Honored One, having observed all the assembly, spoke thus: 『Good men! I did not attain perfect enlightenment by cultivating only a small amount of good roots. Those beings, if they are able to hear this true Dharma, they also have not cultivated only a small amount of good roots. If they are able to receive and uphold this vast, adorned, supreme, kingly, wordless treasure casket Dharma gate, if they are able to hear it, that person has already revered me, respected and praised me. Good men! This good man, good woman, is carrying Bodhi (菩提) on both shoulders. That person will obtain uninterrupted eloquence, and obtain pure and beautiful Buddha lands. At the time of death, they will be able to see Amitabha Buddha (阿彌陀佛), surrounded by Śrāvakas (聲聞), Bodhisattvas (菩薩), dwelling before that person; they will also see me on the summit of this Gṛdhrakūṭa (耆阇崛山) Mountain King, and see these Bodhisattva assemblies. Good men! This good man, good woman, has already obtained the great Dharma treasury, which cannot be exhausted; they will obtain knowledge of past lives, and will not be born into evil paths.』
『Good men! I now speak of this unprecedented and difficult-to-believe Dharma gate in all the world. Good men! If that good man, good woman, even has rebellious offenses, because they are able to well recite and uphold this supreme Dharma gate, whether they write it themselves, or encourage others to write it, whether they recite it themselves, or encourage others to recite it, whether they uphold it themselves, or encourage others to uphold it. Good men! I say that person will not see evil paths, and will be predicted by all the Buddhas. These Bodhisattvas will all obtain the five eyes, their faculties will be complete, they will be protected and念 by all the Buddhas, and received by all the Bodhisattvas, causing them to extinguish immeasurable afflictions, and their karmic obstacles will immediately be purified.』
『Good men! These last words that I speak, since I attained the Way and achieved perfect enlightenment, I have never spoken these words.』

王等諸天及四大王,人、天、阿修羅、迦樓羅、緊那羅、乾闥婆等,一切世間,聞佛所說,皆大歡喜。
