如是我聞:

一時,婆伽婆住王舍城耆阇崛山中,與大比丘眾千二百五十人俱,菩薩八十千。爾時會中有菩薩摩訶薩,名離憂悲,在大會坐,師子游戲菩薩摩訶薩、智光明菩薩摩訶薩、梵雷音響云聲菩薩摩訶薩、善作功德寶華光明菩薩摩訶薩、師子游步云雷音聲菩薩摩訶薩、光明威德名聞菩薩摩訶薩、無邊智聚思惟莊嚴菩薩摩訶薩、無邊寶華名稱菩薩摩訶薩、智慧光明辯才說意菩薩摩訶薩,此十菩薩摩訶薩集在會坐,已於七年為陀羅尼精勤修習而不能得,滿七年已則生憂愁,心尚不定況陀羅尼,所求不得心生疲倦,既於七年離癡覆蓋,恒常經行求陀羅尼而不能得,舍戒還家遠離佛法作鄙劣行,于佛法中心生疑惑,有如是過。阿阇世王在大會坐。

爾時世尊于先已為阿阇世王斷除疑悔,阿阇世王既除疑悔,一切憂惱皆得解脫,於七日中舍財大施,如是大施滿七日已,為聽法故七億眾生俱到佛所。彼十菩薩諸善男子,于佛法中已得罪過,亦在會坐。

爾時會中有菩薩摩訶薩,名不畏行,得陀羅尼,阿僧祇劫法忍成就,得無生忍、種種辯才,能知一切智智之門,能說法

如是我聞:

一時,婆伽婆(Bhagavan,世尊)住在王舍城(Rājagṛha)的耆阇崛山(Gṛdhrakūṭa)中,與一千二百五十位大比丘,以及八萬位菩薩在一起。當時,法會中有一位菩薩摩訶薩(bodhisattva-mahāsattva,大菩薩),名叫離憂悲,在法會中就坐。還有師子游戲菩薩摩訶薩、智光明菩薩摩訶薩、梵雷音響云聲菩薩摩訶薩、善作功德寶華光明菩薩摩訶薩、師子游步云雷音聲菩薩摩訶薩、光明威德名聞菩薩摩訶薩、無邊智聚思惟莊嚴菩薩摩訶薩、無邊寶華名稱菩薩摩訶薩、智慧光明辯才說意菩薩摩訶薩,這十位菩薩摩訶薩聚集在法會中,已經精勤修習陀羅尼(dhāraṇī,總持)七年,卻未能得到。滿了七年之後,他們心生憂愁,心尚且不能安定,更何況是陀羅尼呢?因為所求不得,心中感到疲倦。他們雖然在七年中遠離了愚癡的覆蓋,恒常地經行以求得陀羅尼,卻仍然不能得到,於是捨棄戒律還俗,遠離佛法,做一些鄙劣的行為,對佛法心生疑惑,有了這樣的過失。阿阇世王(Ajātaśatru)也在法會中就坐。

當時,世尊已經為阿阇世王斷除了疑慮和後悔,阿阇世王既然消除了疑慮和後悔,一切憂愁煩惱都得到了解脫,在七天之中捨棄財物廣行佈施。這樣的大布施滿了七天之後,爲了聽聞佛法,七億眾生一同來到佛陀的住所。那十位在佛法中已經犯下過錯的菩薩善男子,也在法會中就坐。

當時,法會中有一位菩薩摩訶薩,名叫不畏行,得到了陀羅尼,經過阿僧祇劫(asaṃkhya-kalpa,無數劫)的修行,法忍成就,得到了無生法忍(anutpattika-dharma-kṣānti),具有種種辯才,能夠知曉一切智智(sarvākāra-jñatā,一切種智)之門,能夠說法

【English Translation】 English version The Slander of the Buddha Sutra

Translated by Tripitaka Master Bodhiruci of Tianzhu (India) during the Yuan Wei Dynasty

Thus have I heard:

At one time, the Bhagavan (Blessed One) was dwelling in Mount Gṛdhrakūṭa (Vulture Peak) in Rājagṛha (Royal City), together with a great assembly of twelve hundred and fifty Bhikṣus (monks), and eighty thousand Bodhisattvas. At that time, in the assembly, there was a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva (Great Bodhisattva) named 'Free from Sorrow,' seated in the assembly. Also present were Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas named 'Lion's Play,' 'Wisdom Light,' 'Brahma Thunder Sound Cloud Voice,' 'Well-Performing Meritorious Jewel Flower Light,' 'Lion's Gait Cloud Thunder Voice,' 'Light Majesty Renown,' 'Boundless Wisdom Gathering Contemplative Adornment,' 'Boundless Jewel Flower Name,' and 'Wisdom Light Eloquence Explaining Meaning.' These ten Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas gathered in the assembly, having diligently practiced Dhāraṇī (mantra) for seven years without attaining it. After seven years had passed, they became sorrowful, their minds still unsettled, let alone Dhāraṇī. Because their requests were not fulfilled, their minds grew weary. Although they had spent seven years free from the covering of ignorance, constantly walking in search of Dhāraṇī, they could not obtain it. Therefore, they abandoned their vows, returned to their homes, distanced themselves from the Buddha-dharma, engaged in base conduct, and harbored doubts about the Buddha-dharma, thus committing such transgressions. King Ajātaśatru (Unborn Enemy) was also seated in the assembly.

At that time, the World-Honored One had already dispelled the doubts and regrets of King Ajātaśatru. Having eliminated his doubts and regrets, King Ajātaśatru was liberated from all worries and afflictions. For seven days, he generously gave away wealth in great offerings. After these great offerings had been completed for seven days, seven hundred million beings came to the Buddha's abode to hear the Dharma. Those ten virtuous men, Bodhisattvas who had already committed transgressions in the Buddha-dharma, were also seated in the assembly.

At that time, in the assembly, there was a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva named 'Fearless Conduct,' who had attained Dhāraṇī, accomplished Dharma-kṣānti (acceptance of the Dharma) after asaṃkhya-kalpas (countless eons) of practice, attained Anutpattika-dharma-kṣānti (the patience with the non-arising of all dharmas), possessed various kinds of eloquence, was able to know the gate of Sarvākāra-jñatā (all-knowing wisdom), and was able to expound the Dharma.


門,能知眾生深心信解而為說法。

爾時不畏行菩薩摩訶薩從坐而起,整服一廂,右膝著地合掌向佛,白言:「大德!此眾會中十善男子,已於七年為陀羅尼精勤修行,所愿不成,舍離佛法而作俗人。善哉,世尊!如方便說,此善男子令速解知。」

爾時世尊告不畏行菩薩言:「善男子!當知如是十善男子,未曾得聞謗佛法門,此善男子曾謗佛來,是故不能速疾得通。」

爾時不畏行菩薩摩訶薩即以偈頌問如來曰:

「我今問仁曰,  光明之法王,  若行菩薩行,  惡業云何凈?  無量勝智名,  十力無障智,  解脫無戲論,  說菩薩凈行。  我問無量智,  我問斷惡意,  我問無比尊,  云何菩薩行?  已脫一切縛,  離煩惱破魔,  知眾生心意,  愿說菩薩行。  如華開笑面,  有有行欲斷,  說法斷有意,  愿說菩薩行。  能與無量樂,  善功德善行,  於一切世間,  作利益安樂。  已於無量世,  為舍所愛物,  像馬寶百頭,  無量妻子舍。  以忍自調伏,  樂戒功德行,  決定勤精進,  意常不憂惱。  百種苦已盡,  所求事究竟,  愿如應說法,  除斷眾生苦。  愿說離三垢,  云何離不善?

這時,不畏行菩薩摩訶薩(Bhayavikrama Bodhisattva Mahāsattva)從座位上站起來,整理好衣服,右膝跪地,合掌向佛,說道:『大德!這裡的法會中有十位善男子,已經七年精勤修行陀羅尼(dhāraṇī),但願望沒有實現,捨棄佛法而去做普通人。善哉,世尊!請您方便開示,讓這些善男子能夠迅速理解明白。』

這時,世尊告訴不畏行菩薩說:『善男子!應當知道這十位善男子,從未聽聞過誹謗佛法的法門,而這些善男子過去曾誹謗佛法,因此不能迅速獲得通達。』

這時,不畏行菩薩摩訶薩立即用偈頌向如來(Tathāgata)提問:

『我現在向您請問,光明的法王,如果修行菩薩行,惡業要如何才能清凈?擁有無量殊勝智慧的名號,具備十力(daśabala)無障礙的智慧,解脫沒有虛妄戲論,請您宣說菩薩清凈的行為。 我請問擁有無量智慧的您,我請問斷除惡意(duṣṭacitta)的您,我請問無與倫比的尊者,菩薩行應當如何修行?已經脫離一切束縛,遠離煩惱,降伏魔障,瞭解眾生的心意,愿您宣說菩薩行。 如同鮮花綻放笑顏,對於存在(bhava)的執著想要斷除,說法斷除有意的行為,愿您宣說菩薩行。能夠給予無量的快樂,擁有善良的功德和善良的行為,在一切世間,帶來利益和安樂。 已經在無量世中,爲了修行而捨棄所愛之物,大象、駿馬、珍寶和成百上千的頭顱,以及無量的妻子兒女都捨棄了。用忍辱來調伏自己,喜愛持戒的功德行為,堅定地勤奮精進,內心常常不憂愁煩惱。 經歷百種苦難已經結束,所尋求的事情最終完成,愿您如實說法,去除和斷除眾生的痛苦。愿您宣說遠離三種垢染的方法,如何才能遠離不善?』

【English Translation】 English version: [He] is able to know the deep minds, beliefs, and understandings of sentient beings, and thus preach the Dharma to them.

At that time, Bhayavikrama Bodhisattva Mahāsattva rose from his seat, adjusted his robes, knelt on his right knee, and, with palms joined, addressed the Buddha, saying: 'Great Virtue! In this assembly, there are ten good men who have diligently practiced dhāraṇī for seven years, but their wishes have not been fulfilled, and they have abandoned the Buddhadharma to become laypeople. Excellent, World-Honored One! Please explain expediently so that these good men may quickly understand.'

At that time, the World-Honored One said to Bhayavikrama Bodhisattva: 'Good man! You should know that these ten good men have never heard of the Dharma-gate of slandering the Buddhadharma, and these good men have slandered the Buddha in the past, therefore they cannot quickly attain understanding.'

At that time, Bhayavikrama Bodhisattva Mahāsattva immediately asked the Tathāgata in verse:

'I now ask you, the King of Dharma of Light, if one practices the Bodhisattva path, how can evil karma be purified? You have a name of immeasurable and supreme wisdom, possessing the wisdom of the Ten Powers (daśabala) without obstruction, liberation without frivolous debate, please explain the pure conduct of a Bodhisattva. I ask you, who possess immeasurable wisdom, I ask you, who cut off evil intentions (duṣṭacitta), I ask you, the incomparable honored one, how should the Bodhisattva path be practiced? Having escaped all bonds, being free from afflictions, subduing demons, knowing the minds of sentient beings, I wish you to explain the Bodhisattva path. Like a flower blooming with a smiling face, the attachment to existence (bhava) is to be cut off, preaching the Dharma to cut off intentional actions, I wish you to explain the Bodhisattva path. Able to give immeasurable joy, possessing good merits and good conduct, bringing benefit and happiness to all worlds. Having given up beloved things for practice in immeasurable lifetimes, elephants, horses, treasures, and hundreds and thousands of heads, as well as immeasurable wives and children, have been given up. Subduing oneself with patience, delighting in the meritorious conduct of upholding precepts, resolutely diligent and energetic, the mind is always without sorrow and affliction. Having ended hundreds of kinds of suffering, the sought-after matters are finally completed, I wish you to speak the Dharma accordingly, to remove and cut off the suffering of sentient beings. I wish you to explain the method of being free from the three defilements, how can one be free from unwholesomeness?'


愿說菩薩行,  調御益眾生。」

爾時世尊告不畏行菩薩摩訶薩言:「善男子!此十菩薩本曾謗佛。」

不畏行菩薩言:「世尊!云何謗佛?」

佛言:「不畏行!此十菩薩乃往過去第三十劫,有佛號曰觀世自在如來、應、正遍知,出焰世界。不畏行!今此會中十善男子,于彼觀世自在如來入涅槃后,皆作大姓大富長者,造五百寺,於一一寺置千比丘。時有法師,名曰辯積,得陀羅尼,坐法座上為眾說法,五千諸佛皆與辯才、八萬億天守護供養。辯積法師一說法時,七萬眾生悉皆不退阿耨多羅三藐三菩提,一萬衆生得須陀洹果。

「善男子!彼時有王,名曰月得,自共五百婇女相隨,俱往供養辯積法師,敬重法故歌聲作樂,種種寶花散彼比丘,栴檀等香用涂其身,以五百領好衣覆之,於七日中一切樂具盡心供養,如法師法而供養之。

「當於爾時,彼長者子,說彼比丘毀破凈戒。彼惡業報,九十千年墮大地獄;於五百世雖生人中受黃門身,生夷人中、生邪見家;於六百世生盲無舌;七百世中雖復出家,求陀羅尼而不能得。何以故?以彼往世惡業障故。

「善男子!汝應善知如是法門,我今已說。既得聞已,若見法師實破戒者,不得生瞋,尚不應說,何況耳聞而得說耶?善男子

這時,世尊告訴不畏行菩薩摩訶薩說:『善男子!這十位菩薩過去曾經誹謗佛。』

不畏行菩薩說:『世尊!他們是如何誹謗佛的呢?』

佛說:『不畏行!這十位菩薩在過去第三十劫時,有一尊佛,名號為觀世自在如來(Avalokiteśvaravikrīḍita-tathāgata),應供(Arhat)、正遍知(Samyak-saṃbuddha),出現在出焰世界。不畏行!現在這個法會中的十位善男子,在那觀世自在如來入涅槃(Nirvana)后,都做了大姓大富的長者,建造了五百座寺廟,在每一座寺廟安置了一千位比丘(bhikṣu)。當時有一位法師,名叫辯積(Bhinna-rāśi),得到了陀羅尼(dhāraṇī),坐在法座上為大眾說法,五千諸佛都賜予他辯才,八萬億天人守護供養他。辯積法師說法一次,就有七萬眾生全部不退轉于阿耨多羅三藐三菩提(anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi),一萬衆生證得須陀洹果(srotaāpanna)。』

『善男子!當時有一位國王,名叫月得(Candra-prāpta),親自與五百位婇女相隨,一同前去供養辯積法師,因為敬重佛法的緣故,歌唱奏樂,用各種寶花散在比丘身上,用栴檀(candana)等香塗抹他的身體,用五百件上好的衣服覆蓋他,在七天之中,用一切的樂器盡心供養,如法如律地供養這位法師。』

『當時,那些長者的兒子,說那位比丘毀壞了清凈的戒律。因為這種惡業的果報,九十千年中墮入大地獄;在五百世中,即使生在人中,也受黃門之身,生在邊遠地區的人中,生在持有邪見的人家;在六百世中,生來就是盲人,沒有舌頭;七百世中,即使出家,求取陀羅尼也無法得到。這是什麼原因呢?因為他們往昔的惡業障礙的緣故。』

『善男子!你應該好好地瞭解這樣的法門,我現在已經說過了。既然聽聞了,如果見到法師確實破戒,也不得生起嗔恨之心,尚且不應該說,更何況是耳聞而說呢?善男子!』

【English Translation】 English version: 'I wish to speak of the conduct of a Bodhisattva, to tame and benefit sentient beings.'

At that time, the World Honored One said to the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva Fearless Conduct: 'Good man! These ten Bodhisattvas once slandered the Buddha.'

The Bodhisattva Fearless Conduct said: 'World Honored One! How did they slander the Buddha?'

The Buddha said: 'Fearless Conduct! In the past, during the thirtieth kalpa, there was a Buddha named Avalokiteśvaravikrīḍita-tathāgata (the Thus Come One, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One named 'He Whose Manifestation is the Play of Avalokiteśvara'), who appeared in the Flame-Emanating World. Fearless Conduct! The ten good men in this assembly now, after that Avalokiteśvaravikrīḍita-tathāgata entered Nirvana (Nirvana), all became wealthy elders of great clans, built five hundred monasteries, and placed a thousand bhikshus (bhikṣu) in each monastery. At that time, there was a Dharma Master named Bhinna-rāśi (Distinguished Accumulation), who obtained a dharani (dhāraṇī), sat on the Dharma seat and expounded the Dharma for the assembly. Five thousand Buddhas all bestowed eloquence upon him, and eighty trillion devas protected and made offerings to him. When Dharma Master Bhinna-rāśi expounded the Dharma once, seventy thousand sentient beings all became non-retrogressive in Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi), and ten thousand sentient beings attained the fruit of Srotaāpanna (srotaāpanna).'

'Good man! At that time, there was a king named Candra-prāpta (Moon Attained), who personally accompanied five hundred concubines to make offerings to Dharma Master Bhinna-rāśi. Because of their respect for the Dharma, they sang and played music, scattered various precious flowers on the bhikshu, smeared his body with sandalwood (candana) and other fragrances, and covered him with five hundred fine garments. For seven days, they made offerings with all kinds of musical instruments, offering to the Dharma Master according to the Dharma.'

'At that time, the sons of those elders said that the bhikshu had broken the pure precepts. Because of this evil karmic retribution, they fell into the great hell for ninety thousand years; in five hundred lifetimes, even if they were born among humans, they received the body of a eunuch, were born among barbarians, and were born into families with wrong views; in six hundred lifetimes, they were born blind and without tongues; in seven hundred lifetimes, even if they left home, they could not obtain dharanis. Why is that? Because of the obstacles of their past evil karma.'

'Good man! You should understand such Dharma doors well. I have now spoken of them. Since you have heard them, if you see a Dharma Master who has indeed broken the precepts, you must not give rise to anger, and you should not even speak of it, let alone speak of it based on hearsay? Good man!'


!若有挑拔一切眾生眼目罪聚,若以瞋心看法師者,所有惡業過彼罪聚。若斷一切諸眾生命所有罪聚,若有於法師生於噁心,逕回面頃所得罪聚,彼前罪聚於此罪聚,一百分中不等其一,于千分中亦不等一,于百千分、阿僧祇分、若歌羅分、若數分中不等其一,于譬喻分乃至憂波尼沙陀分不等其一。何以故?若謗法師即是謗佛。

「善男子!若有悕望供養佛者,彼人則應供養法師;若有悕望供給佛者,彼人則應供給法師;若有悕望禮拜佛者,彼人則應禮拜法師。何以故?以從菩薩生一切智、以從菩薩生諸佛故。

「善男子!菩薩何曰發菩提心?既發心已,不住欲樂、煩惱不染,不住一切非梵行事,應如是知。如是菩薩入無色定不生無色。何以故?菩薩不隨三昧力生,以願力生,如是菩薩解脫一切毛道凡夫愚癡人行。若有能見虛空色者,彼人能見菩薩煩惱。

「善男子!譬如阿那婆達多龍王,龍眾數攝,與一切龍體相無異,龍三種過悉皆遠離。何等為三?一者熱沙不墮其頭、二者不以蛇身行欲、三者無有伽樓羅畏。如是善男子!此三龍過所不能于。菩薩摩訶薩亦復如是,一切戲樂皆悉具有,於三有中欲煩惱苦不能覆蔽,應如是知。

「又善男子!譬如取魚眾生之類,於水中行、水中見物、入水

【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本: 『若有人挑撥離間,傷害所有眾生的眼睛,所造的罪業堆積如山;如果有人以嗔恨之心看待法師,那麼他所造的惡業超過前者的罪業堆積。如果有人斷絕一切眾生的性命,所造的罪業堆積如山;如果有人對法師生起惡念,哪怕只是轉過臉的瞬間所產生的罪業堆積,那麼前者的罪業堆積與後者的罪業堆積相比,百分之一都比不上,千分之一也比不上,乃至百千分之一、阿僧祇(asaṃkhya,無數)分之一、歌羅(kala,數量單位)分之一、數分之一都比不上,甚至譬喻分之一,乃至憂波尼沙陀(aupaniṣada,秘密教義)分之一都比不上。為什麼呢?因為誹謗法師就是誹謗佛。』

『善男子!如果有人希望供養佛,那麼他就應該供養法師;如果有人希望供給佛,那麼他就應該供給法師;如果有人希望禮拜佛,那麼他就應該禮拜法師。為什麼呢?因為一切智慧從菩薩產生,諸佛從菩薩產生。』

『善男子!菩薩何時發起菩提心?既然發起了菩提心,就不會執著于欲樂,不會被煩惱污染,不會執著於一切非清凈的行為,應該這樣理解。這樣的菩薩進入無色定,也不會生於無色界。為什麼呢?因為菩薩不是隨三昧(samādhi,禪定)的力量而生,而是以願力而生,這樣的菩薩解脫了一切像毛髮一樣細微的凡夫愚癡之人的行為。如果有人能看到虛空的顏色,那麼他就能看到菩薩的煩惱。』

『善男子!譬如阿那婆達多(Anavatapta)龍王,屬於龍族,與一切龍的形體相貌沒有區別,但遠離了龍的三種過失。哪三種呢?一是熱沙不會落在它的頭上,二是不以蛇身行淫慾,三是沒有金翅鳥(garuḍa)的畏懼。像這樣,善男子!這三種龍的過失不能加於它。菩薩摩訶薩也是這樣,一切戲樂都具備,但三有(指欲界、色界、無色界)中的慾望、煩惱和痛苦不能遮蔽他,應該這樣理解。』

『又,善男子!譬如捕捉魚類的眾生,在水中行走、在水中看到事物、進入水中……』

【English Translation】 English version: 『If someone instigates and harms the eyes of all sentient beings, the accumulation of sins created is like a mountain; if someone looks at a Dharma master with hatred, then the evil karma they create exceeds the former's accumulation of sins. If someone cuts off the lives of all sentient beings, the accumulation of sins created is like a mountain; if someone generates evil thoughts towards a Dharma master, even for the brief moment of turning their face away, the accumulation of sins obtained, then the former's accumulation of sins compared to the latter's accumulation of sins is not even one in a hundred, not even one in a thousand, not even one in a hundred thousand, one in an asaṃkhya (countless), one in a kala (unit of quantity), one in a number, not even one in a metaphor, not even one in an aupaniṣada (secret doctrine). Why? Because slandering a Dharma master is slandering the Buddha.』

『Good man! If someone hopes to make offerings to the Buddha, then they should make offerings to the Dharma master; if someone hopes to provide for the Buddha, then they should provide for the Dharma master; if someone hopes to bow down to the Buddha, then they should bow down to the Dharma master. Why? Because all wisdom arises from Bodhisattvas, and all Buddhas arise from Bodhisattvas.』

『Good man! When does a Bodhisattva generate the Bodhi mind? Once the Bodhi mind is generated, they will not be attached to sensual pleasures, will not be defiled by afflictions, and will not be attached to all non-pure conduct; this should be understood in this way. Such a Bodhisattva enters the formless samādhi (meditative absorption) but is not born in the formless realm. Why? Because the Bodhisattva is not born according to the power of samādhi, but is born by the power of vows; such a Bodhisattva is liberated from all the actions of foolish ordinary people as fine as hairs. If someone can see the color of emptiness, then they can see the afflictions of the Bodhisattva.』

『Good man! For example, Anavatapta (name of a dragon king) Dragon King, belongs to the dragon race, and is no different in form and appearance from all dragons, but is far from the three faults of dragons. What are the three? First, hot sand does not fall on its head, second, it does not engage in sexual desire with a snake body, and third, it has no fear of garuḍas (mythical bird). Like this, good man! These three faults of dragons cannot be applied to it. The Bodhisattva Mahāsattva is also like this, possessing all kinds of amusements, but the desires, afflictions, and sufferings in the three realms (desire realm, form realm, formless realm) cannot obscure him; this should be understood in this way.』

『Also, good man! For example, beings who catch fish, walk in the water, see things in the water, enter the water...』


不死。善男子!菩薩摩訶薩亦復如是,行於生死住凡夫行,常求智行修集正法,心不迷亂,凡夫之事所不能污,三有之苦所不能于,是故菩薩摩訶薩常應自護,勿謗法師。」

「若欲供養佛,  若欲禮如來,  但供養佛子,  第一供養佛。  我說以衣缽,  坐臥經行處,  如是等應施,  發菩提心者。  如是供養佛,  如是供養法,  佛為世間上,  皆從法中生。  是人孤獨智,  與暗眼者明,  示迷者正道,  將向不死處。  若一切財寶,  常施一切佛,  雖如是奉施,  不能報佛恩;  若從今已去,  常供養法師,  不謗不說者,  則報諸佛恩。」

'Like these good men! No matter in what temple the Bodhisattvas reside, whether they dwell in good or evil, even if they lose their lives and die because of it, do not see their faults. Why? Good men! Bodhisattvas possess four kinds of pure dharmas. What are the four? First, cultivating emptiness; second, constantly having a non-destructive mind towards all sentient beings; third, constantly benefiting all Bodhisattvas; fourth, expounding the Dharma without seeking sustenance. Good men! These four dharmas are the pure Bodhi dharmas of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva.'
