次大輪印 以左右手相叉掌中。二母指亦入掌中。將印頂戴。以左腳安右膝上。誦二十一遍。下抱之而散。

【English Translation】 English version The Ritual and Method of Contemplating Bhaisajyaguru Tathagata, One Volume Translated by Tripitaka Vajrajnana from South India

Three Prostrations, then Repentance, Taking Vows, and Generating Bodhicitta. Next, the Accomplishment Mantra is recited seven times.

Then, the Buddha establishes the boundary, inviting the Great Wheel Vajra with the following verse:

I bow in reverence to the wondrously sealed Great Flower Teeth, the mighty Vajrapani, the Great Wheel King, Ucchusma the Immovable, and Kundali, the Fire-Headed Boundary Establisher. Sometimes wrathful, sometimes smiling, displaying a majestic and furious appearance, moving mountains and turning seas in an instant. Subduing the evil and poisonous minds of Rakshasas, they all feel fear and dread upon hearing the mantra. Destroying the ten evils, transforming sentient beings, transcending and entering the ocean of merits of the Tathagata. To protect disciples and mantra reciters, with a mind of praise and supplication, they respond instantly. May the Great Vajra pure assembly, carry the Vajra (Vajra) club with them. In this sacred place of practice and recitation, completely surround and establish the boundary.

Next is the Great Wheel Mudra: Cross the left and right hands in the palms, with the two thumbs also inside the palms. Place the mudra on the crown of the head. Place the left foot on the right knee, recite twenty-one times, then lower it to embrace, and then scatter it.

誦此陀羅尼二十七遍。即當入一切曼荼羅(此云壇)。

次即思惟觀察。一切有情本性清凈。為諸客塵之所覆蔽不悟真如。是故說此三密加持。令自他皆得清凈。即二手蓮華合掌。誦凈三業真言三遍。真言曰。

唵(一)娑嚩(二合)婆(去引)嚩秣(詩聿反)馱(二引)薩嚩達磨(入引三)娑嚩(二合)婆(去引)嚩(四)秫(準上)度憾(五)

次入堂。

複次。若欲入本尊室。先睹尊顏合十指。當低頭。每入道場時。對本尊前端身正立。蓮華合掌閉目運心。想在某世界對某甲如來並諸菩薩眷屬。

則以五體投地。想於一一佛菩薩前恭敬作禮。即普禮真言曰。

唵(一)薩嚩怛他(去引)蘗多(二)播(引)那滿(三)那曩(上引)迦嚕(引)弭(四)

次即隨作法。稱佛名等。

次右膝著地。合掌當心。虔誠發露懺悔無始已來一切罪障則隨喜諸佛菩薩聲聞緣覺一切有情所修福業。又觀十方世界所有如來成等正覺者諸轉法輪。所有如來現涅槃者。諸久住世不般涅槃。又發願言。我所積集善根。禮佛懺悔勸請隨喜。以福聚迴向一切有情。愿皆令得入三德秘藏。

次懺悔文。

歸命十方正等覺  最勝妙法菩提眾  以身口意清凈業  慇勤合掌恭敬

【English Translation】 English version: Recite this Dharani twenty-seven times, and you shall enter all Mandalas (meaning: altar). Then contemplate and observe that the inherent nature of all sentient beings is pure, but it is obscured by various adventitious defilements, preventing them from realizing Suchness. Therefore, these three secrets of empowerment are spoken to purify both oneself and others. Then, with hands in lotus-like Anjali Mudra (palms together), recite the Pure Three Karmas Mantra three times. The mantra is: Om Svabhava Shuddhah Sarva Dharma Svabhava Shuddho Ham Then enter the hall. Furthermore, if you wish to enter the chamber of the principal deity, first gaze upon the deity's face, bring your ten fingers together, and lower your head. Each time you enter the sanctuary, stand upright facing the principal deity, with hands in lotus-like Anjali Mudra, close your eyes, and visualize yourself in a certain world, facing a certain Tathagata (meaning: Thus Come One) and all the Bodhisattvas (meaning: enlightened beings) and their retinues. Then prostrate with the five limbs touching the ground, visualizing yourself respectfully bowing before each Buddha and Bodhisattva. Then recite the Universal Prostration Mantra: Om Sarva Tathagata Padavandanam Karomi Then proceed according to the ritual, chanting the names of the Buddhas, etc. Then, with your right knee on the ground, bring your palms together at your heart, and sincerely confess and repent all the karmic obstacles from beginningless time. Then rejoice in the meritorious deeds performed by all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Pratyekabuddhas (meaning: Solitary Buddhas), Sravakas (meaning: disciples), and all sentient beings. Also, contemplate all the Tathagatas in the ten directions who have attained perfect enlightenment, and the turning of the Dharma wheel by them. Contemplate all the Tathagatas who have manifested Nirvana (meaning: cessation of suffering), and those who dwell in the world for a long time without entering Nirvana. Also, make the vow: May the roots of goodness that I have accumulated, the merits of paying homage to the Buddhas, repentance, exhortation, and rejoicing, be dedicated to all sentient beings, so that they may all enter the secret treasury of the Three Virtues. Then, the Confession Text: I take refuge in the perfectly enlightened ones of the ten directions, the supreme and wonderful Dharma, and the Bodhi assembly. With pure deeds of body, speech, and mind, I respectfully join my palms in reverence.


禮  無始輪迴諸有中  身口意業所生罪  如佛菩薩所懺悔  我今陳懺亦如是

次隨喜文。

我今深發歡喜心  隨喜一切福智聚  諸佛菩薩行愿中  金剛三業所生福  緣覺聲聞及有情  所集善根盡隨喜

次勸請文。

一切世燈坐道場  覺眼開敷照三有  我今䠒跪先勸請  轉于無上妙法輪  所有如來三界主  臨般無餘涅槃者  我皆勸請令久住  不捨悲願救世間

次愿贊迴向。

懺悔隨喜勸請福  愿我不失菩提心  諸佛菩薩妙眾中  常為善友不厭舍  離於八難生無難  宿命住智莊嚴身  遠離愚迷具悲智  悉能滿足波羅蜜  富樂豐饒生勝族  眷屬廣多恒熾盛  四無礙辨十自在  六通諸禪悉圓滿  如金剛幢及普賢  愿贊迴向亦如是

次三昧發心 次佛部三昧耶 次即結跏趺坐。或半跏坐右押左。以香涂手。

結佛部三昧耶印。二手虛心合掌。開二頭指微屈。各附中指上節。又開二大指。各捻二頭指下第一文。結印成已。想某甲佛三十二相八十種好分明。即誦佛部心三昧耶真言曰。

以懺悔、隨喜、勸請的福德,愿我永不失去菩提心(Bodhicitta,覺悟之心), 在諸佛菩薩的殊勝大眾之中,常為善友,不被厭棄捨離。 遠離八難(沒有機會修行佛法的八種障礙)而生於沒有苦難之處,以宿命智(知道過去世的能力)莊嚴自身, 遠離愚癡迷惑,具足慈悲與智慧,完全能夠圓滿一切波羅蜜(Pāramitā,到彼岸), 富足快樂,豐饒興盛,出生于殊勝的種族,眷屬廣多,恒常熾盛。 具足四無礙辯(四種無礙的辯才),十自在(十種自在力),六神通(六種超自然能力)和諸禪定都圓滿具足。 如同金剛幢菩薩(Vajradhvaja)和普賢菩薩(Samantabhadra),愿我的讚頌和迴向也像他們一樣。

【English Translation】 English version Homage Within the various realms of beginningless Samsara (cyclic existence), the sins generated by body, speech, and mind, Just as the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have confessed, I now likewise declare my repentance.

Next, the Verse of Rejoicing.

I now deeply generate a mind of joy, rejoicing in all accumulations of merit and wisdom, The merit generated by the Vajra (indestructible) three karmas (body, speech, and mind) of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in their practices and vows, I rejoice in all the roots of virtue accumulated by Pratyekabuddhas (Solitary Realizers), Śrāvakas (Hearers), and all sentient beings.

Next, the Verse of Entreaty.

All the lamps of the world, seated in the Bodhimanda (place of enlightenment), with awakened eyes opened, illuminating the three realms of existence (desire realm, form realm, formless realm), I now kneel and entreat, requesting the turning of the unsurpassed, wondrous Dharma wheel. All Tathagatas (Buddhas), lords of the three realms, who are about to enter Parinirvana (complete Nirvana) without remainder, I entreat them to remain long in the world, not abandoning their vows of compassion to save the world.

Next, the Aspiration, Praise, and Dedication.

Through the merit of repentance, rejoicing, and entreaty, may I never lose the Bodhicitta (mind of enlightenment), Among the excellent assemblies of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, may I always be a good friend, never disliked or abandoned. May I be born away from the eight adversities (eight conditions where one cannot practice Dharma) in a place without suffering, adorning myself with the wisdom of past lives (knowledge of past existences), May I be far from ignorance and delusion, possessing compassion and wisdom, able to perfectly fulfill all the Pāramitās (perfections), May I be rich and happy, abundant and prosperous, born into a noble family, with vast and ever-increasing retinues. May I possess the four unimpeded eloquence (four kinds of unobstructed eloquence), the ten freedoms (ten kinds of mastery), the six supernormal powers (six kinds of supernatural abilities), and all the Dhyanas (meditative states) perfectly complete. Like Vajradhvaja (Vajra Banner Bodhisattva) and Samantabhadra (Universal Virtue Bodhisattva), may my aspirations, praises, and dedications be the same.

Next, the Generation of Samadhi (meditative concentration), next the Buddha-kula-samaya (Buddha family vow), then sit in full lotus position (Padmasana) or half lotus position (Ardha-padmasana), with the right foot on top of the left. Anoint the hands with incense.

Form the Buddha-kula-samaya-mudra (Buddha family vow hand gesture): Place both hands together with hollow palms. Open the two index fingers and bend them slightly, attaching them to the upper joints of the middle fingers. Then open the two thumbs, each pinching the first joint below the two index fingers. Once the mudra is formed, visualize the thirty-two major marks (32 major marks) and eighty minor marks (80 minor marks) of a certain Buddha clearly. Then recite the Buddha-kula-hrdaya-samaya-mantra (Buddha family heart vow mantra), saying:

Om (one) Tathāgata (two) Bhava (three) Svāhā (four)

Recite three or seven times, and place the mudra on the crown of the head.


便散。由結此印及誦真言。驚覺佛部一切聖眾。皆加持護念修真言者。速令獲得身業清凈罪障消滅福慧增長。

次結蓮華部三昧耶印。二手虛心合掌。二大指二小指各頭相著。余指微屈如開敷蓮華業形。即成此印。結印已。想觀自在菩薩相好端嚴。並無量俱胝蓮華族眷屬圍繞。即誦蓮華部三昧耶真言曰。

唵(一)跛娜謨(二合引二)納婆(二合)嚩(引)耶(三)娑嚩(二合引)賀(引四)

誦三遍或七遍加持。安印于頂右便散。由結此印及誦真言。驚覺觀自在菩薩及蓮華部聖眾。皆來加持行者。獲得語業清凈。言音威肅令人樂聞。無礙辯才說法自在。

次結金剛部三昧耶印。二手左覆右仰令背相著。以右大指叉左小指。以左大指叉右小指。中間六指博著手腕。如三股杵形即成。結印當心。想金剛藏菩薩相好威光。無量執金剛眷屬圍繞。即誦金剛部三昧耶真言曰。

唵(一)嚩日羅(二合引二)納婆(二合)嚩(引)耶娑嚩(二合引)賀(四)

誦三遍或七遍加持。安印于頂左便散。由結此印及誦真言。驚覺金剛藏菩薩並金剛部聖眾。皆來加持行者。獲得意業清凈證菩提心。三昧現前速得解脫。

次軍荼利香爐法印咒(誦小心咒滿三七遍然後燒香一切歡喜)。

【English Translation】 English version: Then disperse. By forming this mudra and reciting the mantra, all the holy beings of the Buddha family are awakened. They all bless and protect the one who cultivates the mantra, quickly enabling them to obtain purity of body karma, eliminate karmic obstacles, and increase blessings and wisdom.

Next, form the Samaya Mudra of the Lotus Family. With both hands, form a hollow-hearted joined palm. The tips of both thumbs and both little fingers touch each other. The remaining fingers are slightly bent, resembling the shape of an opening lotus flower. This completes the mudra. After forming the mudra, visualize Avalokiteśvara (觀自在菩薩) with dignified and beautiful features, surrounded by countless kotis of the Lotus Family retinue. Then recite the Samaya Mantra of the Lotus Family:

Om (1) Padmo (2) Nava Vā Ya Svāhā (4)

Recite three or seven times to bless, place the mudra on the right side of the crown of the head, then disperse. By forming this mudra and reciting the mantra, Avalokiteśvara (觀自在菩薩) and the holy beings of the Lotus Family are awakened. They all come to bless the practitioner, enabling them to obtain purity of speech karma, a dignified and awe-inspiring voice that pleases listeners, unobstructed eloquence, and freedom in expounding the Dharma.

Next, form the Samaya Mudra of the Vajra Family. With both hands, the left hand covers and the right hand faces upward, so that the backs of the hands face each other. Cross the right thumb over the left little finger, and cross the left thumb over the right little finger. The six fingers in the middle are pressed against the wrists, forming the shape of a three-pronged vajra. This is complete. Form the mudra in front of the heart. Visualize Vajragarbha (金剛藏菩薩) with dignified and beautiful features, majestic light, surrounded by countless Vajra-wielding retinue. Then recite the Samaya Mantra of the Vajra Family:

Om (1) Vajra (2) Nava Vā Ya Svāhā (4)

Recite three or seven times to bless, place the mudra on the left side of the crown of the head, then disperse. By forming this mudra and reciting the mantra, Vajragarbha (金剛藏菩薩) and the holy beings of the Vajra Family are awakened. They all come to bless the practitioner, enabling them to obtain purity of mind karma, realize Bodhicitta, Samadhi manifests, and quickly attain liberation.

Next is the Kuṇḍali (軍荼利) Incense Burner Mudra and Mantra (recite the small mantra fully twenty-one times, then burn incense, and all will rejoice).


次軍荼利香水法印咒(若雜花及香末等作此印已印之咒水安置佛前一切歡喜)。

Next, take the incense burner and announce: The Seven Tathagatas (Seven Buddhas) of the East, all Buddhas of the ten directions, the Eight Great Bodhisattvas, the Eight Offering Bodhisattvas, the Four Embracing Bodhisattvas, Sunlight Bodhisattva, Moonlight Bodhisattva, all great Bodhisattvas, all Bodhisattvas, all Vajras, all Devas, Nagas, the Twelve Divine Generals, each with seven thousand Yaksha (a type of spirit) gods, and all the deities of the paths of karma, etc., please all be witnesses. In the east, west, south, north, four intermediate directions, above and below, all Vinayakas (obstacle-creating deities), evil gods, and ghosts who destroy the Buddha Dharma, please depart far away beyond seven miles. If there are good gods and ghosts who protect the Buddha Dharma and benefit the Buddha Dharma, let them remain in peace (recite the name seven times) the protective hand seal mantra.

Next, form the Vajra Armored Body Protection Seal. Interlock the two little fingers and two ring fingers with the right over the left inside. Extend the two middle fingers straight, with the tips touching. Bend the two index fingers into hook shapes, attaching them to the backs of the middle fingers without touching. Extend the two thumbs together and press them against the ring fingers to complete the seal. Form the seal at the heart and recite the mantra. Seal the five places on the body, reciting the mantra once for each place. First seal the forehead, then the right shoulder, then the left shoulder, then the heart, then the throat. 次軍荼利金剛一字降魔王

Afflictions and karmic obstacles will not defile the practitioner's body, and will protect the practitioner from the suffering of all evil realms in the future, quickly attaining Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (unsurpassed complete enlightenment).

Next is the invocation for blessings (take the incense burner): I, so-and-so, report to all Buddhas of the ten directions, all Prajnaparamita (Perfection of Wisdom), all great Bodhisattvas, all Avalokitesvara (Bodhisattva of Compassion), all Vajragarbha (Vajra Essence Bodhisattva), and all Devas and Nagas (divine and serpent beings), protectors of stupas and Dharma, all virtuous divine kings, etc., please be witnesses. Next is the Kundali (a wrathful deity) method for dispelling Vinayaka (an obstacle-creating deity), hand mudras and mantras recited three to seven times, followed by the Dharani (incantation) for subduing the earth. Use the Sarva-karya-siddhi mantra (mantra for accomplishing all matters) and recite the Kundali great heart mantra seven times, sprinkling it on the boundaries of the place, which can remove all impurities and attain purity. With little effort, great accomplishments are achieved. All impure and evil things in the ground are purified by the power of the blessings. The size of the boundary can be adjusted according to one's wishes.

Next, form the Vajra Wall Mudra. Similar to the previous Earth Boundary Mudra, open the palms and spread the two thumbs upright like a wall. This completes the mudra. Visualize fiery flames flowing from the mudra. Rotate the mudra three times clockwise around the body, reciting the previous Earth Boundary Mantra. This forms a solid vajra wall boundary. The mantra says:

Various demons, evil people, tigers, wolves, lions, and poisonous insects cannot approach. Next is the Kundali (Vajra Wrathful One) Great Protection Mudra, placed in the four directions and guarding the four gates, so that all practices will be successful.

次結如來拳印 以左手四指握拳。直豎大指。以右手作金剛拳。握左大指甲即成。以此拳印印地。誦真言加持七遍。變其世界。如來拳真言曰。

由結此印及誦此真言加持威力故。即變此三千大千世界成某甲剎土。七寶為地。水鳥樹林皆演法音。無量莊嚴如經所說。即說伽陀曰。

以我功德力  如來加持力  及以法界力  愿成安樂剎

行者由數習此定惠。現生每於定中。見某甲世界某甲如來。在大菩薩眾會聞說無量契經。臨命終時心不散動三昧現前。剎那迅速則生彼土。蓮華化生證菩提。

次結寶車輅印 二手仰相叉右押左。以二頭指側相拄。二大指捻二頭指下第一文即成 送車輅真言曰。

At the time of death, the mind will not be scattered, samādhi will manifest, and one will be swiftly reborn in that pure land in an instant, be born from a lotus flower, and attain bodhi (enlightenment). Bend the index and ring fingers of both hands inward, touching back to back inside the palms. Slightly bend both thumbs, without touching the index fingers. The mantra is:

Recite three times. Then, rotate the mudra three times to the left to dispel all demons, causing them to retreat. Rotate the mudra three times to the right to create a strong and secure boundary.

Next, form the Vajra Net mudra. Similar to the previous Earth Boundary mudra, press the tips of both thumbs against the lower joints of both index fingers. Recite the mantra three times, each time rotating the mudra clockwise above the head and then releasing it. The mantra is:

【English Translation】 English version: 'Consecration. May all the holy assembly abide in their respective positions, complete with dignity and in accordance with the Dharma (having spoken these words), scatter incense, and then take the silver plate. With various powdered incenses, hold the incense with both hands. Recite the Heart Mantra of the All-Crowning Wheel King (Sarvatathāgatavīryādhiṣṭhāna-nāma-mahā-kalparāja). Recite the mantra over the powdered incense seven times. Scatter it from the inner courtyard to the gods and others (Incense Samadhi Dharani). Scatter flowers as in the previous method of powdered incense (Flower Samadhi Dharani method). First, with palms together, bow and sincerely apologize, saying: 'The incense, flowers, food, and drink offered now are mostly not in accordance with the Dharma, I feel deeply ashamed.' Next, when offering perfumed ointment, make this vow: 'This incense is fragrant and rich, like the wonderful incense of the heavens, pure and protective. I now offer it, may you deign to accept it, and fulfill my wishes.' The Perfumed Ointment Mantra says: 'A(up) ga ra A(up) ga ra (1) Sarva (chui ke fan) bhidyadharā (2) purti (3) svaha (4)' Recite this mantra while applying the perfumed ointment. Then recite the mantra you hold. Purely and lawfully offer it to the honored one. 'Because I offer perfumed ointment, I shall obtain the five Dharmakayas (Dharmakaya, the body of the Dharma). May five undefiled perfumed ointments flow from this, polishing those with burning afflictions, destroying all the hells, and reaching all places of scorching heat.' Next, offer the mantra flower. Make this vow: 'This flower is pure, and the place where it grows is also pure. I now offer it, may you deign to accept it, and grant me accomplishment.' The Flower Offering Mantra says: 'A(up) ga ra A(up) ga ra (1) Sara (same as above) bhidi (2) yadharā (up 2) purti (ding yi fan 3) svaha (4)' 'Because of offering flowers, one shall obtain the thirty-two major marks (32 major marks of a Buddha). Furthermore, dedicate this merit to accomplish the wonderful enlightenment flower platform, spreading light to illuminate and touch, awakening beings in the realms of humans and gods, those attached to the realms of desires, entangled and oppressed by the eight winds, the suffering of heavenly music and transformations. May those gods and humans develop the Bodhi mind.'

【English Translation】 English version: Obtaining the Bliss of Samantabhadra (普賢)

Offering Incense: With the fragrance of trees and resin from these forests and fields, capable of transforming the intentions of all beings, a constant food for the devas (諸天), I now offer this. May you have compassion and accept it.

The Incense Mantra says:

A (upper tone) ga ra A (upper tone) ga ra (one) Sa ra (same as above) bhidya dhara (two) bur dhi (three) Svaha (four)

Recite this incense mantra, then recite the mantra you hold. The realm of the mantra incense, offered according to the Dharma.

Through offering incense, I obtain the unobstructed wisdom of the Buddha; Joyful and possessing perfect features, I dedicate this cloud of incense; May its fragrance alleviate the suffering of cold ice.

The Order of Offering Food: Or this medicinal fragrance and deliciousness is worthy of offering to the honored lord. I now offer it, may you have compassion and accept it. The Mantra for Purifying Food says:

A (upper tone) ga ra A (upper tone) ga ra (one) Sarva (same as above) bhidya (two) dhara (two) bur dhi (three) Svaha (four)

This mantra universally connects to the Three Families of mantras. After the food, recite the mantra you hold. Offer the mantra food.

Offering food obtains the joy of the Dharma, the taste of meditative bliss and liberation; Dedicate this to the hungry ghost realm, universally raining down all subtle and wonderful; Heavenly nectar food, eating this blessed food; May all be fully satisfied, forever free from the suffering of hunger and thirst; And the karmic habits of stinginess and greed.

The Method of Offering Food: First, apply fragrant paste and sprinkle the ground. Then spread out various leaves. One should wash hands, rinse the mouth, and swallow water. Then place the food. First, place the Sattvika (莎底迦食) food. Then round roots, long roots, and fruits. Then place various congees. Then place soups. Then place drinks. Then place milk and cheese.

The Order of Offering Light: Or the lamp can dispel obstacles, and purify and eliminate sleep. I now offer this, may you have compassion and accept the lamp. The Mantra says:

次結廣大不空摩尼供養印。二手金剛合掌。二頭指相蹙如寶形。並豎二大指即成。即誦供養真言曰。

此廣大不空摩尼供養陀羅尼。才誦三遍則成於某甲如來集會。及無邊微塵剎土中雨無量廣大供養。所謂種種涂香雲海。種種華鬘雲海。種種燒香雲海。種種天妙飲食雲海。種種天妙衣服雲海。種種摩尼光明燈燭雲海。種種幢幡寶帳寶蓋雲海。種種天妙音樂雲海。普于諸佛菩薩眾會。成真實廣大供養。由結印誦真言供養故。獲得無量福聚。猶如虛空無有邊際。世世常生一切如來大集會中。蓮華化生得五神通。分身百億。能于雜染世界。拔濟受苦眾生。皆作安樂利益。即于現世受無量果報。當來得生凈土。

獻閼伽香水  證平等性

獻閼伽香水,證得平等性。

【English Translation】 English version: Vaha (5) (Transliteration, no actual meaning)

After reciting this mantra, then recite the root mantra. After the mantra, perform purification rituals to eliminate all faults.

Offering lamps gains the five eyes, serving as the lamp of Prajna (wisdom). Illuminating the Asuras (demi-gods), forever cutting off the heart of deceit and falsehood. Eliminating anger, ignorance, and the love of fighting and contention, as well as the suffering of beings in the animal realm (suffering from whipping and oppression). May beings who harm and devour each other, all obtain hearts of compassion and kindness. May they always be reborn on the paths of humans and gods, freed from the ** of the desire realm (one of the six realms). No longer clinging to Samadhi (meditative absorption), may they be freed from these entanglements of delusion.

Next, form the Great Unfailing Mani Offering Mudra (hand gesture). With both hands in Vajra (diamond) joined palms, the two index fingers are pressed together like a jewel shape, and both thumbs are raised upright. Then recite the offering mantra, as follows:

Om (1) A (rising tone) Mogha (gone tone) Puja (self-lra reverse) Mani (ni-敕 reverse 2) Padma (two combined 3) Vajre (two combined 4) Tathagata (5) Vilokite Samanta (6) Prasara (7) Hum (8)

This Great Unfailing Mani Offering Dharani, just by reciting it three times, can accomplish the ** of a certain Tathagata (referring to all Tathagatas), and rain down immeasurable and vast offerings in boundless, minute dust-like lands. These offerings include various clouds of scented unguents, various clouds of flower garlands, various clouds of burning incense, various clouds of heavenly exquisite foods, various clouds of heavenly exquisite clothing, various clouds of Mani (jewel) light lamps, various clouds of banners, jeweled tents, and jeweled canopies, various clouds of heavenly exquisite music, universally making true and vast offerings to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas assemblies. Due to the offering through forming the mudra and reciting the mantra, one can obtain immeasurable accumulations of merit, like the boundless expanse of space. In lifetimes after lifetimes, one will always be born in the great ** of all Tathagatas, be born from a lotus flower, obtain the five supernormal powers, manifest hundreds of billions of bodies, and be able to deliver suffering beings in defiled worlds, bringing them peace and benefit. In this very life, one will receive immeasurable rewards, and in the future, one will be reborn in the Pure Land.

以右手大指捻無名指頭。直舒中指小指微屈。以頭指押

【English Translation】 English version The position of the Dharma King of the Three Realms, I dedicate and bestow this descending nectar, The Vajra (Diamond) Moon nectar water, irrigates and nourishes the beings in the water, Forever departing from the animal realm, quickly attaining the pure Dharma body, And down to the Avici (uninterrupted) hell, all the various hells, The instruments of suffering are shattered like dust, all transforming into cool and refreshing ponds, The suffering multitudes of beings, liberated from suffering and reborn in the Pure Land.

Next, offer Argha (water offering) as refuge. Place palms together on the crown of the head. Contemplate the true merits of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Sincerely prostrate and praise the Buddha. Then praise the Dharma and Sangha, then praise Avalokiteśvara (the Bodhisattva of Compassion). Then praise Vidyaraja (Wisdom King) Vajra (Diamond). The Gatha (verse) says:

The World Honored One of Great Compassion who saves the world, skillfully guides all wisdom, Merit, wisdom, and virtues are like the ocean, I prostrate and pay homage today. The true suchness, the peaceful Dharma, is able to purify greed, anger, and delusion, Skillfully eliminates all evil destinies, I prostrate and pay homage today. The Sangha who attain Dharma liberation, dwell well in all stages of learning, The supreme field of merit, the Sangha, I prostrate and pay homage today. Great Compassion Avalokiteśvara, praised by all Buddhas, Able to generate all kinds of blessings, I prostrate and pay homage today. Possessing a powerful wrathful body, well done, well done, Vidyaraja (Wisdom King), Subduing those difficult to subdue, I prostrate and pay homage today.

Thus, sincerely praise the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Also, with palms together and a diligent and respectful heart, praise the auspicious marks and virtues of the remaining Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. These praises should use the verses of praise spoken by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and should not create praises oneself. Practitioners should recite these verses praising the merits of the Buddha three times a day, awakening a certain Tathagata (Buddha) who does not abandon the vows of compassion, illuminating the practitioner with immeasurable light, eliminating all karmic obstacles and heavy sins, bringing peace and joy to body and mind, attaining tranquil delight, sitting in meditation and recitation for a long time without fatigue, purifying the mind, and quickly attaining Samadhi (meditative absorption).

The Pure Jewel Dharani of the Buddha Family says:

Om (一) Abukajami Jaye (二句) Siddhi Siddharati (三句) Svaha (四句)

With the right thumb, press the tip of the ring finger. Straighten the middle finger, slightly bend the little finger, and press down with the index finger.

【English Translation】 English version: Hold the beads with the side of the upper joint of the middle finger. The same with the left hand. Then hold the vajra (vajra, a ritual implement) with the left hand and hold the string of beads with the right hand. Announce: 'I (name of the practitioner) now respectfully bow to all Prajnaparamita (Prajnaparamita, perfection of wisdom) boundless Dharma treasures, countless dharmas like the sands of the Ganges. Hereafter, all Buddhas in the ten directions, respectfully receive this Dharma.' After saying these words, raise both hands to the crown of the head in reverence. This method is called the method of reverently receiving and upholding. The mantra for holding beads in the Buddha family is: 'Om (om, seed syllable) namo (namo, refuge) bhagavati (bhagavati, the Blessed One) siddhe (siddhe, accomplished one) sadhaya (sadhaya, accomplish) siddharthi (siddharthi, accomplishment of meaning) svaha (svaha, accomplishment)' Use the preceding bead mudra, each according to its respective family, to perform the recitation. 如是念誦修習三摩地已。欲出道場則結本尊印。誦根本陀羅尼七遍。以印頂上散。即誦讚歎。

現前諸如來  救世諸菩薩  不斷大乘教  到殊勝位者  唯愿聖天眾  決定證知我

Through the blessings of Tathagata 'Moujia', the body and mind will be purified, and even with eyes open or closed, one will often see Tathagata 'Moujia'. In Samadhi, one will hear the profound and wonderful Dharma, and in each word and each sentence, one will awaken to immeasurable Samadhi gates, immeasurable Dharani gates, and immeasurable liberation gates. This body will be equal to Bodhisattva 'Moujia', and one will quickly be able to reach that Buddha-land. After completing the number of recitations, hold the rosary on the crown of the head and make this vow: 'May all sentient beings be born in the world of Buddha 'Moujia', see the Buddha, hear the Dharma, and quickly attain Anuttara-Samyak-Sambodhi (無上正等菩提, unsurpassed, right and perfect enlightenment).' Next, form the meditation mudra (定印), and visualize the Bodhicitta (菩提心, the mind of enlightenment) in the body, bright and round like a full moon. Then contemplate: the essence of Bodhicitta is separate from all things, separate from the five Skandhas (蘊), the twelve Ayatanas (界), the eighteen Dhatus (處), and separate from the grasper and the grasped. I invoke all the Buddhas in the dust-mote worlds of the empty realms, Vipaśyin among the past seven Buddhas, Prakāśana among the fifty-three Buddhas, Śākyamuni among the thirty-five Buddhas, Ratnasaṃcaya among the twenty-five Buddhas, the twelve divisions of venerable scriptures, the Sutra Pitaka, the Ocean of Dharma, all the great Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas, Samantabhadra, Mañjuśrī, Avalokiteśvara, Mahāsthāmaprāpta, the Great Compassionate Bodhisattvas, the Five Vidyārājas, the Golden Wheel Wish-Fulfilling King, the Twenty-eight Constellations, Guhyapati Vajradhara, not abandoning compassion, to bear witness for the disciple. Swiftly, swiftly, like the diligence of the Dharani. The Four Devarajas' boundary-establishing mantra, recited three times in one breath: 'Jinta Jinta Sanghajinta Lihe.'
