【English Translation】 English version 'The Sutra of the Merits and Vows of the Seven Buddhas, the King of Lapis Lazuli Light, with Recitation Ritual and Offering Method'

May this entire ground be free from all impurities such as gravel and sand, May it be as smooth and excellent as the palm of a hand, and become a pure land of lapis lazuli. May it be adorned like the Land of Ultimate Bliss, with various treasures interspersed and flowers covering everywhere, May it be complete with jeweled trees and jeweled ponds, all proclaiming the subtle and wonderful Dharma sound. Born from the roots of goodness beyond the world, accomplished by various wonderful treasures, Possessing immeasurable great light, may all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas dwell here. Originally without coming, going, increase, or decrease, due to the perfect and subtle supreme vow, Like the arising of white light, may you descend to save the world. A pure, vast, and wonderful jeweled seat, far from all obstacles, Relying on equality, may you always abide, please accept this great and peaceful seat. The nature of the pure Dharma realm is unmoving, with great compassion observing all sentient beings, Perfecting all the wonderful deeds of great enlightenment, may the teachers of the three worlds descend. To benefit suffering sentient beings, manifesting descent into the mud of the world, Not being stained by the dust of the three realms, opening the lotus seat for all to dwell. The teacher has ascended the lotus seat, rescuing the lords of sentient beings (Sattva) in the three realms, May the three aspects of body, speech, and mind be received, and may you bless us. Dwelling in the nature of radiant great bliss, out of compassion for us sentient beings, May the clouds of compassion spread throughout the ten directions, and may you bestow the rain of all accomplishments (Siddhi). In the world of unsurpassed victory in the East, the Buddha of Good Renown (Bhaisajyaraja Buddha), with countless multitudes, Far from afflictions, fulfilling perfect vows, may you descend to benefit the (holy) patrons. In the Eastern Land of Wonderful Treasure Adornment, the Buddha of Jeweled Moon Wisdom Majesty (Ratnachandra Buddha), with countless multitudes, To dispel distractions and strife, may you descend to benefit the (holy) patrons. 【English Translation】 English version In the perfect Ratnakara realm, there is an immeasurable assembly of golden, jewel-like light. May you (Holy Giver) descend for the benefit of beings, granting longevity and prophecies to those at the end of their lives. In the eastern realm of sorrowlessness, there is an immeasurable assembly of the most victorious sorrowlessness. May you (Holy Giver) descend for the benefit of beings, eliminating all suffering and removing all karmic obscurations. In the eastern realm of the Dharma Banner, there is an immeasurable assembly of the Dharma Ocean's thunderous sound. May you (Holy Giver) descend for the benefit of beings, eradicating wrong views and all obstacles and difficulties. In the eastern realm of the Well-Dwelling Jewel Ocean, there is an immeasurable assembly of the Dharma Ocean's victorious wisdom. May you (Holy Giver) descend for the benefit of beings, perfecting the Samadhi (meditative absorption) of the pure land. In the eastern pure realm of lapis lazuli, there is an assembly of the Medicine Buddha (Bhaisajyaguru), the sun, and the moon, illuminating all. May you (Holy Giver) descend for the benefit of beings, subduing demons with perfect marks and signs. The supreme Muni (Buddha) and Sugata (Tathagata) assembly, possessing immeasurable merit and the power of all Buddhas. May you (Holy Giver) descend for the benefit of beings, not abandoning the supreme vows and practices. Cutting through delusion and karma with the sword of scripture and all-knowing wisdom, igniting the torch of Dharma with the freedom of speech. May the holy assembly descend for the benefit of beings, perfecting the merit of our recitation. If one takes refuge, they will be freed from the suffering of illness, fulfilling the supreme Muni's (Buddha) aspiration. May you descend for our benefit, purifying the intense suffering and afflictions at the end of life. To counteract the pleasure of desire and attain freedom, the Great Brahma (Mahabrahma), Indra (Indra), and all the Dharma protectors. The assembly requested by Upasakas (male lay practitioners) and others, may you descend for the benefit of sentient beings. The secret, self-arisen child of the mind, subduing the appearances of hatred, love, good, and evil. May you descend for the benefit of beings, fulfilling the supreme vows of the seven past Buddhas, endowed with great divine power. Protecting merit with rare divine power, as the lord of the assembly, all fears. The assembly requested by General Kumbhira (Kumbhira), may you descend for the benefit of sentient beings. With great compassion, not deviating from your original vows, the eight Tathagatas (Tathagata) who compassionately remember sentient beings. Today, I establish this mandala with sincere faith, and together with all of you, I pray for your descent. All Sugatas (Tathagata), Bhagavans (Bhagavan, World Honored One), with great compassion, remember us with kindness. We also have a share of the merit, may you please be seated on this precious throne. World Honored One, with the power of your miraculous abilities and majesty, have compassion on us sentient beings.

【English Translation】 English version O Bhagavan (Blessed One), with great compassion, I beseech you to descend and kindly remain on this seat. We offer our gifts and offerings, wishing that you may abide in this sacred place. Please accept these offerings, including the argha (offering water), and fulfill our aspirations. Just as when the Tathagata (Buddha) was born, all the devas (gods) bathed him, So too, I bathe you with pure and celestial water. The nature of true wisdom is inherently pure, free from the afflictions of grasping at a 'doer' and 'done'. To purify the defilements of sentient beings, I wash the hands and feet of all the holy ones. May the cool waters of the Dharma (teachings) fully satisfy all beings tormented by afflictions and thirst. Please accept this vase of water offered to purify our defilements. Lion, elephant king, excellent horse, vajra (diamond), mani (jewel), sun and moon wheels, And a stainless, pure lotus seat, may you abide in the nature of non-abiding. The nature of all dharmas (phenomena) is inherently pure, free from all aspects of defilement. In accordance with worldly customs of respect, please abide on this lotus seat, free from attachment. You do not enter Parinirvana (complete Nirvana), possessing the nature of great compassion, not abandoning afflictions, yet unsoiled by them. Your nature is inherently unattached and pure, please abide on this pure lotus seat. For those sentient beings oppressed by the poison of afflictions, you purify them with the nectar of great compassion. To fulfill this subtle and supreme aspiration, I bow down and prostrate to the Sugata (Buddha) assembly. Afflicted and oppressed by the suffering of karma (action) and afflictions, you observe those beings and arouse great compassion. To remove their afflictions, you generate vast vows, I pay homage to the Seven Buddhas. Endowed with various treasures of merit, with a form adorned with excellent marks and a body of pure wisdom, Your golden body is offered to by humans and gods, I bow down to the Tathagata, the supreme among gods. The nature of the Dharmadhatu (realm of reality) is pure and serene, you manifest bodies throughout the ten directions. Mani Jewel King Tathagata and others, I offer my homage with offerings and praise. The supreme Three Jewels, treasures of merit, with reverence and faith, one obtains inconceivable blessings. You are able to save all Sattvas (sentient beings), I pay homage to the Three Jewels worthy of offerings. Bhagavan (Blessed One), with great compassion and exquisite adornments, the perfectly enlightened great guide, You are able to bestow merit and wisdom like a vast ocean, I praise all the Tathagatas. Your nature is inherently pure, free from all desires, able to liberate.

好樂廣者亦如別文廣贊三寶。

【English Translation】 English version Escaping All Evil Destinies

The one and only profound and mysterious truth, the peaceful and wonderful Dharma, I praise and pay homage to. Realizing the path of liberation, showing the way to liberation, one should respectfully uphold the precepts. Born of merit, a supreme field of blessings, the most venerable among all beings, I praise and pay homage to.

Those who delight in vastness can also extensively praise the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) as in other texts.

All the adornments of the Buddha's body, the marks and qualities of a great being are extremely magnificent. To remove defilements and fulfill all wishes, therefore I offer this Mandala. Born of the nature of conditions, all the wonderful celestial Argha (offering water), I offer to the assembly of Sugatas (Tathagatas), may you accept it for the benefit of sentient beings. Born of the nature of conditions, all kinds of wonderful celestial flowers, I offer to the assembly of Sugatas, may you accept it for the benefit of sentient beings. Born of the nature of conditions, all kinds of wonderful celestial incense, I offer to the assembly of Sugatas, may you accept it for the benefit of sentient beings. Born of the nature of conditions, all kinds of wonderful celestial lamps, I offer to the assembly of Sugatas, may you accept it for the benefit of sentient beings. Born of the nature of conditions, all kinds of wonderful celestial water, I offer to the assembly of Sugatas, may you accept it for the benefit of sentient beings. Born of the nature of conditions, all kinds of wonderful celestial food, I offer to the assembly of Sugatas, may you accept it for the benefit of sentient beings. Born of the nature of conditions, all kinds of wonderful celestial music, I offer to the assembly of Sugatas, may you accept it for the benefit of sentient beings. Born of the nature of conditions, all kinds of wonderful celestial clothing, I offer to the assembly of Sugatas, may you accept it for the benefit of sentient beings. All kinds of offering implements, and all the offerings of the world, I offer to the assembly of Sugatas, may you accept it for the benefit of sentient beings. All kinds of wonderful medicines, to remove all sickness and suffering, I offer to the assembly of Sugatas, may you accept it for the benefit of (holy) patrons. Before the assembly of the Seven Buddhas, today I offer the great Dharma wheel, To cut off the cycle of the three realms of existence (desire realm, form realm, formless realm).

All the merit from prostrations, praises, and offerings, the merit from the Buddhas remaining in the world and turning the wheel of Dharma, and all the roots of goodness from rejoicing and repentance, I dedicate to sentient beings and the path to Buddhahood. Bhagavān (World Honored One), with your great compassion that protects and saves, you have compassion for all sentient beings, cherishing and guarding them as if they were your only child, may they always be auspicious, peaceful, and secure. Your body is like the true gold from Jambudvīpa (Rose-apple Continent), your majestic light surpasses a thousand suns, and you are like a stainless, radiant banner. I praise and pay homage to this golden, precious light. Your pure body is like Jambudvīpa gold, your wondrous form is dignified, especially without blemish, your golden, precious light is pure and clear. I offer this wonderful form to you, the guide. With pure, stainless, and pleasing water of merit, the most wonderful of the gods, I offer it to the Golden Light Tathāgata. For the benefit of sentient beings, may you accept it. With these most wonderful flowers, incense, and lamps, the most wonderful scented oils, the most wonderful foods, and all kinds of musical instruments and offerings, I offer them to the Golden Light Tathāgata. With all kinds of wonderful medicines, to remove all suffering from illness, I offer them to the Golden Light Tathāgata. For the benefit of sentient beings, may you accept it. All the evil deeds I have committed in the past, all arise from beginningless greed, hatred, and delusion, born from body, speech, and mind, all of these I now repent. Upholding the teachings of the Sutra Pitaka, Vinaya Pitaka, and Abhidhamma Pitaka, holding a bowl, a khakkhara (staff), and other Dharma instruments in hand. Serving the teacher who guides us, the Buddha above all Dharmas, offering to all the Sravakas and other holy beings. The eastern Indra (Sakra), who gives a hundred offerings, his body is yellow, holding a vajra. Riding a white great elephant throne, I now offer, praise, and salute you. The southeastern Agni (Fire God), his body is red, holding a kundika (water bottle). Riding a red goat throne, I now offer, praise, and salute you. The southern Yama (King of the Underworld), his body is blue, holding a jeweled staff. Riding a blue buffalo throne, I now offer, praise, and salute you. 【English Translation】 English version Through the merit of all praises and offerings, I request the Buddha to remain in the world and turn the Wheel of Dharma (Dharmacakra). I rejoice in all virtues, repent all misdeeds, and dedicate all roots of goodness to all sentient beings, wishing them to ultimately attain Buddhahood. Because of my ignorance and lack of knowledge, the virtuous deeds I have cultivated may have deviations or imperfections. Now, in order to save all sentient beings, I beseech the Venerable One (referring to the Buddha) to compassionately endure and accept my offerings. Because I have not fully understood the supreme power of the principal deity (referring to the Buddha), there may be incompleteness or inadequacy in the offerings. For all such transgressions, I beseech the Venerable One to compassionately endure and accept. After benefiting us sentient beings, please grant us accomplishments according to our wishes. Now I respectfully send the World Honored One back to his original place, but I hope to be able to invite your compassion to descend again next time.
