爾時世尊告阿難言。汝當諦聽我今為汝及末法眾生。宣說無量功德陀羅尼。汝當憶念勿得忘失。使于當來濁惡世中。與諸眾生作大善利。阿難若有眾生得聞此陀羅尼。每日晨朝誦二十一遍。是人于千劫中所積惡業悉皆消滅。見身獲得安隱快樂。若人志心持誦一洛叉數。是人當來得見慈氏菩薩。若持誦二洛叉數。當來得見觀自在菩薩。若持誦三洛叉數。當來得見無量壽佛。即說陀羅尼曰。

這時，世尊告訴阿難（Ananda）說：『你應當仔細聽，我現在爲了你以及末法時代的眾生，宣說無量功德陀羅尼。你應當憶念，不要忘記，以便在將來的污濁惡世中，給眾生帶來巨大的利益。』阿難，如果有的眾生聽聞到這個陀羅尼，每日早晨唸誦二十一遍，這個人千劫以來所積累的惡業全部消滅，親身獲得安穩快樂。如果有人專心持誦十萬遍（一洛叉）的數量，這個人將來得見慈氏菩薩（Maitreya Bodhisattva）。如果持誦二十萬遍（二洛叉）的數量，將來得見觀自在菩薩（Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva）。如果持誦三十萬遍（三洛叉）的數量，將來得見無量壽佛（Amitābha Buddha）。』 於是世尊宣說了陀羅尼：

【English Translation】 English version The Sutra of Immeasurable Merits Dharani Spoken by the Buddha
Translated by Dharma Bhadra, Great Master Mingjiao, Minister of the Guanglu Court, Grand Master of the Imperial Secretariat, from the Tripitaka of the Western Regions, under Imperial Decree
At that time, the World Honored One told Ananda: 'You should listen carefully. Now, for you and the sentient beings of the Dharma-ending Age, I will proclaim the Immeasurable Merits Dharani. You should remember it and not forget it, so that in the future, in the turbid and evil world, it may bring great benefit to all sentient beings.' Ananda, if there are sentient beings who hear this Dharani and recite it twenty-one times every morning, all the evil karma accumulated by these people over thousands of kalpas will be extinguished, and they will personally obtain peace and happiness. If someone wholeheartedly recites it one hundred thousand times (one laksha), this person will see Maitreya Bodhisattva in the future. If they recite it two hundred thousand times (two lakshas), they will see Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva in the future. If they recite it three hundred thousand times (three lakshas), they will see Amitābha Buddha in the future.' Then the World Honored One spoke the Dharani:

爾時阿難。得聞如來說是無量功德陀羅尼已。歡喜信受禮佛而退。
