開府儀同三司特進試鴻臚卿肅國公食邑三千戶賜紫贈司空謚大鑒正號大廣智大興善寺三藏沙門不空奉 詔譯

諸供養儀軌。如余經中廣說。今但晨暮修行。或四時三時常習不間故。略去重疊簡其要略。行者欲作諸佛頂唸誦。先結三部心印及誦真言。加持三業。佛部心印。二手右押左內相叉。二輪並豎真言曰。

唵爾(慈以反下同)曩爾翼(去)迦(半音)

次結蓮華部心印。即前印以左輪屈入掌真言曰。

唵阿(去引)嚕(轉舌引)力迦(半音)

次結金剛部心印。即前佛部心印。屈右輪入掌真言曰。

唵嚩日啰(二合引)地力(二合)迦(半音)

次結如來拳印。右手蓋光高勝四指。握拳豎左輪。右手作金剛拳。握左輪甲真言曰。

唵仆(引)欠入嚩(二合)啰吽(引胸喉中聲如牛吼)

隨誦真言。以印加持自身五處。身器清凈與法相應。便以印加持道場中地。誦真言七遍。其處變成金剛界宮。自然而有眾寶。嚴飾如佛凈土。

各種供養的儀軌,如同其他經典中詳細敘述的那樣。現在只是早晚修行,或者四季三時經常修習不間斷,所以略去重複的內容,簡化其要點。修行者想要修習諸佛頂的唸誦,先結三部(佛部、蓮華部、金剛部)的心印,並誦持真言,加持身、口、意三業。佛部心印:雙手右手壓在左手上,在內側交叉,兩個中指並豎。真言曰:

唵 爾(cí yǐ fǎn,下同) 曩 爾 翼(yì)(去聲) 迦(jiā)(半音)

其次結蓮華部心印:保持之前的印,將左手中指屈入掌心。真言曰:

唵 阿(ā)(去聲,長音) 嚕(lū)(轉舌,長音) 力 迦(lì jiā)(半音)

其次結金剛部心印:保持之前的佛部心印,屈右手中指入掌心。真言曰:

唵 嚩 日 啰(wá rì luō)(二合,長音) 地 力(dì lì)(二合) 迦(jiā)(半音)

其次結如來拳印:右手蓋住光高勝四指,握拳,豎起左手中指。右手作金剛拳,握住左手中指的指甲。真言曰:

唵 仆(pú)(長音) 欠 入 嚩(qiàn rù wá)(二合) 啰 吽(hōng)(長音,胸喉中發聲,如牛吼)

隨著誦持真言,用手印加持自身五個部位(額頭、右肩、左肩、心、喉嚨),使身器清凈,與法相應。然後用手印加持道場中的土地,誦持真言七遍,那個地方就變成金剛界宮殿,自然而然地有各種珍寶,莊嚴修飾如同佛的凈土。

其次結被金剛甲冑護身印:保持之前的佛部心印,兩個中指直豎,指尖相拄,屈上節如劍形,兩個拇指各自附在兩個中指上。

The Essential Recitation Method of the Golden Wheel King Buddha Top

Translated by Tripiṭaka Master Bukong (Amoghavajra) of Da Guangji Zhi Da Xing Shan Temple, holding the titles of Kaifu Yitong Sansi Tejin Shi Honglu Qing Su Guogong, with a fief of three thousand households, bestowed with purple robes, posthumously awarded the title of Sikong with the posthumous name Dajian, and the honorary title of Da Guangzhi, under imperial decree.

The rituals for various offerings are extensively described in other sutras. Now, these are only for morning and evening practice, or for constant practice during the four seasons and three times of the day without interruption. Therefore, repetitive content is omitted, and the essentials are simplified. If a practitioner wishes to perform the recitation of the various Buddha Tops (Uṣṇīṣa), first form the heart mudras of the three families (Buddha family, Lotus family, Vajra family) and recite the mantras to bless the three karmas (body, speech, and mind). Buddha family heart mudra: With both hands, place the right hand over the left hand, crossing the fingers inward, and raise the two middle fingers together. The mantra is:

Oṃ er (cí yǐ fǎn, same below) nā er yì (yì)(falling tone) kā (jiā)(half tone)

Next, form the Lotus family heart mudra: Keep the previous mudra and bend the left middle finger into the palm. The mantra is:

Oṃ ā (ā)(falling tone, long sound) rū (lū)(retroflex, long sound) lì kā (lì jiā)(half tone)

Next, form the Vajra family heart mudra: Keep the previous Buddha family heart mudra and bend the right middle finger into the palm. The mantra is:

Oṃ vajra (vajra)(two combined, long sound) dhṛk (dhṛk)(two combined) kā (jiā)(half tone)

Next, form the Tathāgata fist mudra: Cover the light-radiating four fingers with the right hand, make a fist, and raise the left middle finger. Make a vajra fist with the right hand, grasping the nail of the left middle finger. The mantra is:

Oṃ phut (pú)(long sound) kham jvala (kham rù wá)(two combined) hūṃ (hōng)(long sound, produced from the chest and throat, like a cow's roar)

While reciting the mantra, use the mudra to bless the five places of your body (forehead, right shoulder, left shoulder, heart, throat), purifying the body vessel and making it correspond with the Dharma. Then, use the mudra to bless the ground in the maṇḍala, reciting the mantra seven times. That place will transform into a Vajra realm palace, naturally adorned with various treasures, decorated like a Buddha's pure land.

Next, form the Vajra Armor Protection Mudra: Keep the previous Buddha family heart mudra, raise the two middle fingers straight, with the tips touching each other, bend the upper joints like a sword shape, and attach the two thumbs to their respective middle fingers.

【English Translation】 English version: Recite. Do not be attached to forms. Use the mudra to bless the five places: forehead, right shoulder, left shoulder, heart, and throat. Recite the mantra once at each place. The mantra is:

'Oṃ(1) Cakra(2) Vart(retroflex) ṛti(2) Pra(2) śhamita(2) Ratna(3, long vowel) Ratna(2, long vowel, 3) Bhasma(2) Chha(cha-la) Uṣṇīṣa(2) Ṣa(4) Rakṣa(2) Rakṣa(2) Tra(long vowel, 5) Hūṃ(long vowel) Phaṭ Svāhā(2, long vowel, 6)'

Next, form the mudra of welcoming the holy assembly. Cross the hands with palms facing up. Touch the tips of the two thumbs together like a chariot. While reciting the mantra, use the two index fingers to alternately flick two rays of light, beckoning towards oneself, either three or seven times. Visualize the holy assembly descending to the maṇḍala riding this chariot. The welcoming mantra is:

'Namaḥ Satre(3, retroflex, long vowel) Ya(1) Dhvi(2) Kanam(2) Sarva Tathā(long vowel) Gata(long vowel) Nām(3) Oṃ Vajra Ghi Jñā(4) Karṣa Ya Svāhā(2, long vowel, 5)'

Next, form the Vajra Crown mudra for performing activities. For dispelling obstacles and establishing boundaries, use the previous Buddha-family heart mudra. Straighten the two middle fingers and touch their tips together. Bend the upper joints like hooks. While reciting the mantra, use the mudra to rotate three times counterclockwise above the head, dispelling all inauspiciousness and those who create obstacles. Then rotate three times clockwise, thus completing the boundary establishment. The mantra for performing activities is:

'Namo Sam Manta Buddhā Nām(1) Oṃ Trūṃ(3) Bandha Svāhā(2, long vowel)'

Next, form the Great Samaya mudra, which is the previous Armor mudra. Slightly open the two thumbs, shaping them like a vajra. Place the two index fingers on the first joint lines below the two thumbs. The mantra is:

'Oṃ Śam Kare(retroflex, 1) Mahā Sam Ma(nasal

隨誦真言。以印準前右旋三匝。隨行人意遠近。結為大界。

【English Translation】 English version Oṃ Yaśovāhā (mantra pronunciation, 'two combined' means two syllables are read together, 'extended' means a long sound).

Following the recitation of the mantra, use the mudra (hand gesture) as before, rotating three times clockwise. According to the practitioner's intention regarding distance, establish a great boundary.

Next, form the mudra of the Buddha-Eye, the Mother of the Buddhas. Bring the two hands together in prayer, with each of the two covers (蓋) pinching the two light-backs (光背), making it like the shape of an eye. Bend the two wheels (輪) into the palms. The mantra is:

Namo Samanta Buddhanam (Homage to all Buddhas) (1) Oṃ Ruru Sphuru (both syllables are retroflexed) (2) Jvala Tiṣṭha (3) Siddha Locani (4) Sarvartha (5) Sadhani Svaha.

Next, form the Crown Wheel King mudra of the principal deity. This is the same as the Buddha Crown mudra used previously. Place the two wheels (輪) upright, with the two covers (蓋) bent flat, the tips of the two sections touching each other, on the nails of the two wheels (輪). Form the mudra at the heart and recite the mantra seven times or one hundred and eight times. Also, bless the five places of the body once each. By the power of the blessing, the body becomes one with the principal deity. The One-Syllable Wheel King Dharani is:

Namo Samanta Buddhanam (Homage to all Buddhas) Bhruṃ (the syllable 'rū' is retroflexed and drawn out from the chest and throat, the sound is like striking a large drum; the ancient translation 'Bu Lin' is an erroneous abbreviation).

Next, form the mudra for offering scented water. This is the same as the Great Samaya mudra used previously. Attach the two covers (蓋) to the two light-backs (光背), and place the two wheels (輪) on the sides of the two covers (蓋), below the first line, like the shape of a conch shell cup. Visualize the mudra filled with fragrant water. Raise the mudra to the forehead, offering the scented water to bathe the principal deity and all the holy beings. The mantra is:

Namo Samanta Buddhanam (Homage to all Buddhas) (1) Oṃ Argha Pratīccha Svaha (2) Bhriyah (3) Pratīccha Namah Svaha.

Next, form the common offering


養印。二手虛心合掌。左右五頂各交上節。想從印流出無量香花飲食宮殿衣服。供養及諸聖眾真言曰。

【English Translation】 English version: Forming the Mudra of Nourishment. With both hands, palms together and hollowed. Intertwine the five fingertips of the left and right hands at the upper joints. Visualize an immeasurable stream of incense, flowers, food, palaces, and clothing flowing from the mudra, offered to all Buddhas and holy beings. The mantra is: 'Namas sarva buddha (Homage to all Buddhas) bodhisattva (Bodhisattvas) nām (plural), om sarvatra (everywhere), sam kusumita (covered with flowers), vighna (obstacles) rā śīghrī (quickly), namo'stu (homage), te svā (to you, may), hā (accomplishment).' Next, form the Common Buddha Crown Mudra. Interlock the fingers of the previous Universal Offering Mudra slightly deeper, up to the middle joints, like a flower in the palm. If a practitioner is rushed due to circumstances and cannot form all ten Buddha Crown Mudras, forming this mudra and reciting the Common Buddha Crown Mantra is without fault for the practitioner. The mantra is: 'Namas sam manta buddha (Homage to all universal Buddhas) nām (plural), ma pra ti hata śā (unobstructed teachings) sa nām (plural), om chakra (wheel) vart (turning) ti om hum (wheel, seed syllable).' Next, recite the praise: 'Manning shini (filled with light) sarva jya dhi dhite shini (holding all wisdom light), yai yasha savi bhu rabhu vane kaman dhave (glory exists, great forest desires run), sam ma sata vidya dhipa chakra ma lini (completely not existing, knowledge lord, wheel not disappearing), namo'stu te tra tri chakra vart tini (homage to you, save, three wheels turning).' Before each recitation, use the five branches or the wisdom of the five aspects and eight aspects to become the yoga of the principal deity (this method is extremely profound and secret in the Crown Chakra Yoga).

【English Translation】 English version: All these must be personally received from the Abhisheka Acharya (initiation master), or visualized on oneself. Visualize a seed syllable placed in three locations (crown, tongue, heart), by the power of this syllable, one can accomplish the Buddha Ushnisha Chakravartin (Wheel-Turning King Buddha Crown). Also, visualize in the Mandala (sacred circle) a great ocean of fragrant water, and in the center of the ocean, Mount Sumeru (Mount Meru). Seven Golden Mountains surround it. On the summit of Mount Sumeru, there is an eight-petaled white lotus. On each petal, clockwise, are arranged the Seven Treasures of a Chakravartin (universal monarch): the golden wheel, elephant, horse, jewel-woman, soldiers, and the treasurer. On the eighth petal directly in front, visualize the Buddha Eye. The Ten Buddha Ushnishas (Ten Buddha Crowns) surround it in front and behind. First, abide in this visualization, then hold the rosary and recite the corresponding mantra, either a hundred times, a thousand times, or even ten thousand times. After completing the daily practice, hold the rosary above the head and recite the Tantra Mother, praying that all merits be protected by the deity. Then form the Root Mudra (hand gesture) and bless the five places on the body. Then form the Universal Offering Mudra and make offerings as before. Then praise the deity with joyful songs, praying for boundless compassion to protect us, enabling us to attain liberation and correspond with Siddhi (accomplishment). Vow to make vast aspirations to benefit sentient beings and vow to attain perfect enlightenment. Next, offer Arghya (water offering) as before. Then form the Accomplishing Buddha Ushnisha Mudra and counter-clockwise dissolve the boundary. Then form the Previous Invitation Mudra, flicking the two middle fingers outwards, reciting the previous mantra, changing 'Karashaya' to 'Visarjaya', which becomes the sending-off. Then form the Armor Mudra, reciting the previous mantra, blessing the five places on the body. Then form the Three Families Heart Mudra, sincerely prostrating and making vows. Freely leave the practice place, or circumambulate, recite the Mahayana scriptures, and perform various virtuous deeds to aid accomplishment.
