佛告阿難。往昔于雪山王南。有一金色孔雀王。佛住其中。彼以此大孔雀王咒經。朝說自護晝則平安。暮說自護夜則安隱。即說咒曰。

佛陀告訴阿難（Ananda，佛陀的十大弟子之一）：『往昔在雪山王（Himavanta，喜馬拉雅山）的南面，有一金色孔雀王（Golden Peacock King）。佛就住在那裡。它以這《大孔雀王咒經》早上誦持來保護自己，白天就平安無事；晚上誦持來保護自己，夜晚就安穩無憂。』

隨即佛陀宣說了咒語：

『吼吼吼吼吼吼吼吼吼吼梨梨梨梨曇婆梨梨梨毗摩梨梨暉夜暉夜毗阇毗阇瑜𡾄求漏伊羅彌羅伊利彌羅知梨彌羅伊梨彌帝梨醯利知利彌帝黎曇德修曇德妒修妒衢羅支羅遮娑羅毗羅遮伊知梨毗知梨知梨』

阿難，我現在為你宣說《大孔雀王咒》的咒心。隨即佛陀宣說了咒語：

『伊致知利畢利彌利彌利知弭𡾄曇柄耽柄脂利吉脂利吉賜夜毗羅那彌稚南無一切諸佛指吉賜波多牟黎伊致訶羅盧醯帶牟羅帶牟羅兜娑庵婆鳩致鳩那致鳩鳩那知羅鳩阇那致阿茶婆多夜那婆魔娑陀賒魔賜帝伊利彌利吉利彌利翅羅羅彌離翅斗牟隸頭頭摩薩頭彌致他離彌薩斗婆帝牟薩帝浮薩羅浮薩羅浮薩羅浮薩羅伊那婆悉哆婆翅那迦羅那羅摩林彌蝎羅佉羅摩詰隸伊帝薩阇隸耽億阿那帝波那帝阿那那那帝』

爲了讓天神迅速降雨，應在四周結界七遍並誦讀此咒。隨即佛陀宣說了咒語：

『那羅延波那』

【English Translation】 English version The Great Golden Peacock King Dhāraṇī Sutra, Volume 1

(Name of translator lost, now appended to the Qin record)

The Buddha told Ānanda (one of the ten principal disciples of the Buddha): 'In the past, south of Snow Mountain King (Himavanta, the Himalayas), there was a Golden Peacock King. The Buddha resided there. It recited this Great Peacock King Dhāraṇī Sutra in the morning to protect itself, and it was peaceful during the day; it recited it in the evening to protect itself, and it was secure and without worry at night.'

Then the Buddha spoke the mantra:

'Hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ Riri riri taṃbhari riri vimali riri huye huye vijha vijha yu𡾄kṣu irā mirā irimira cirimira irimite ri hili cili miteri taṃdheśu taṃdhe dhūśudhu kurācira casara virācaijili vicili cili'

Ānanda, I will now speak to you the heart of the Great Peacock King Dhāraṇī. Then the Buddha spoke the mantra:

'Ichi cili billi mili mili cili jimi 𡾄taṃbiṃ dambiṃ jiligichi jiligichi śiyaviranāmichi namo ittiye śubho jiligichi patamuli ichihala luhe de mulade muladusa ambha kujikunachi kuku najila kujhanachi achabhataya nabhamasathadesamachite ilimili kilimili śilarami lichidhumuli thudhumasathumichi thalimisathubhati musathi bhusala bhusala bhusala bhusala inabhasithabashi nagala nalamalimi śakala khala makili itisajali dambi anathibhanathi anananathi'

To make the gods quickly send down rain, one should create a boundary seven times around and recite this mantra. Then the Buddha spoke the mantra:

'Narayana bhana'

Ananda, this Great Peacock Mantra King, as spoken in accordance with Brahma, the lord of the Saha World, now speaks the mantra:

Xi-li, Xi-li, He-li, Mi-li, Mo-li-ni, Bo-ju-li, Ji-li, Ji-li, Ji-li, Ji-li-di, Fan-mo-yi, Jiu-lan-cha-chi, Pi-tu-he, Fu-ci, Fu-shu, Fu-shu, Fu-shu, Fu-shu, Fu-shu, Svaha.

Ananda, this Great Peacock Mantra King, as spoken in accordance with Indra, now speaks the mantra:

Tuo-luo, Chan-tou-li, Mo-luo, Chan-dou-li, Zhe-[kun-zhi+(xiang-kou+ren)]-chan-tou-dou-li, Mo-ta-ni, Jia-duo-ni, Qie-po-ni, Xi-li, Shi-li-chou-di, Shi-li-duo-liu, Na-si, He-he-he-he-he-he, Si-xi, Zhi-di, Pi-chi-di, Jiu-liu-po-luo-shi, Dou-zha-dou-zha-si, Bo-zha, Bo-zha-si, Si-li-si-li, Jie-bei-li-jie-bei-luo, Zhi-li, He-xi-hou.

May all evil be subdued, their hands and feet and limbs be restrained, not allowing them to move, even up to the Trayastrimsa Heaven.

【English Translation】 English version They constantly practice asceticism, dwelling in mountains and forests. They possess great power and freedom, and can quickly perceive changes. They have the five supernormal powers and can freely walk in the void. They also use this Great Peacock King Curse Sutra to protect someone, so that he/she can live to be a hundred years old and see a hundred autumns.
