如是我聞。一時佛在摩誐陀國無垢園中寶光明池側。與大菩薩及諸聲聞。天龍夜叉犍闥婆阿蘇啰𦾨嚕茶緊那羅么護啰誐人非人等。並諸王眾長者居士。百千圍繞恭敬聽法。爾時眾中有大富婆羅門。名無垢妙光。即于會中能解微妙曉達師法。聰明辯才愛樂多聞。修崇十善信重三寶。歡喜踴躍而作是念。一切有情修善為因。財富無量資具眾多。我當修習。爾時大婆羅門無垢妙光。起立合掌繞佛七匝。以種種花涂香粖香等供養世尊。及諸衣服真珠瓔珞。價直百千持以施佛。頭面禮足而白佛言。世尊愿起大悲願受我食。如是三請。
爾時世尊默然受請。於是無垢妙光大婆羅門。見其世尊默然受請。而速歸還經於一宿。備辦種種眾多。美膳六味具足飲食。辦已嚴飾舍宅樓閣浴池繒彩甚眾。花香粖香種種諸香及涂身香等。諸供養具無不周備。即時婆羅門等。執持花幡奏諸妓樂。與其眷屬往詣無垢園中寶光明池側迎請世尊。到已白佛言。世尊食時已至飯食悉辦。唯愿

爾時,世尊默然受請。於是,無垢妙光大婆羅門,見其世尊默然受請,而速歸還,經於一宿,備辦種種眾多美膳,六味具足飲食。辦已,嚴飾舍宅、樓閣、浴池,繒彩甚眾,花香、粖香、種種諸香及涂身香等,諸供養具無不周備。即時,婆羅門等執持花幡,奏諸妓樂,與其眷屬往詣無垢園中寶光明池側,迎請世尊。到已,白佛言:『世尊,食時已至,飯食悉辦,唯愿』
【English Translation】 English version The Heart Dharani Sutra of the Casket Seal of the Secret of the Correct Dharma of All Thus Come Ones
Translated by the Shramana-Minister Shi Hu, the Master of Dharma Transmission of the Tripitaka of the Dishigong Temple in the Kingdom of Uttara Uttara in the Western Heavens and Northern India, bestowed with the Purple Robe by Imperial Decree
Thus have I heard. At one time, the Buddha was at the Immaculate Garden in the country of Magadha, by the side of the Jeweled Light Brightness Pond, with great Bodhisattvas and all the Shravakas, Devas, Nagas, Yakshas (Yaksa), Gandharvas (Gandharva), Asuras (Asura), Garudas (Garuda), Kinnaras (Kinnara), Mahoragas (Mahoraga), humans, non-humans, and so on, along with assemblies of kings, elders, and laypeople, surrounded by hundreds of thousands, respectfully listening to the Dharma. At that time, among the assembly was a very wealthy Brahmin named Immaculate Wonderful Light, who was able to understand the subtle and profound, was knowledgeable in the Dharma of the teachers, was intelligent and eloquent, loved to hear much, cultivated the ten virtues, believed deeply in the Three Jewels, and joyfully thought to himself: 'All sentient beings cultivate goodness as the cause, and their wealth is immeasurable and their resources are numerous. I shall cultivate accordingly.' At that time, the great Brahmin Immaculate Wonderful Light arose, joined his palms, circumambulated the Buddha seven times, and offered various flowers, scented pastes, powdered incense, and so on to the World-Honored One, as well as clothing and pearl necklaces worth hundreds of thousands, which he held and offered to the Buddha. He bowed his head to the ground at the Buddha's feet and said to the Buddha: 'World-Honored One, may you arise with great compassion and accept my food.' He requested this three times.
At that time, the World-Honored One silently accepted the invitation. Thereupon, the great Brahmin Immaculate Wonderful Light, seeing that the World-Honored One had silently accepted the invitation, quickly returned and, after one night, prepared various abundant and delicious meals, complete with all six flavors. Having prepared them, he adorned his house, pavilions, and bathing ponds, with many silks and banners, various fragrant flowers, powdered incense, and body-anointing fragrances, and all kinds of offerings were completely prepared. Immediately, the Brahmins and others, holding flower banners and playing various musical instruments, went with their families to the side of the Jeweled Light Brightness Pond in the Immaculate Garden to invite the World-Honored One. Having arrived, they said to the Buddha: 'World-Honored One, the time for the meal has arrived, and the food is all prepared. We only wish that'
世尊與諸大眾。往至我舍受我供養。

【English Translation】 English version: The World-Honored One, together with the great assembly, went to my dwelling to receive my offerings.
At that time, the World-Honored One observed the assembly and comforted the great Brahmin Immaculate Radiant Light, saying, 'Excellent, excellent, as you wish.' He also told all the assembly and the other devas (gods) to go there together. Thereupon, the World-Honored One rose from his seat, and together with the great assembly, including Bodhisattvas, Śrāvakās (disciples who attain enlightenment by hearing the Buddha's teachings), the eight classes of beings (Devas, Nāgas, Yakshas, Gandharvas, Asuras, Garudas, Kinnaras, Mahoragas), humans and non-humans, as well as the kings, ministers, people, and their families, countless hundreds of thousands of people respectfully surrounding him, all went to the home of the great Brahmin Immaculate Radiant Light. At that time, the body of the World-Honored One emitted golden light, radiating various kinds of light, manifesting countless wonderful signs, transforming into various nets of light, illuminating all the Buddha-lands (Buddhakṣetras, pure lands where Buddhas reside) in the ten directions. It also illuminated the Bodhimaṇḍas (places of enlightenment) and assemblies of all the Buddhas Tathāgatas (Buddhas) in those Buddha-lands, transforming into various instruments of offering, and after illuminating them, returned and entered the pores of Śākyamuni's (the founder of Buddhism) body. At this time, the great Brahmin Immaculate Radiant Light and his family, with one mind, respectfully desired to make offerings to the Buddha, sweeping the roads and decorating them purely and solemnly. At this time, the World-Honored One, together with the great assembly, including Devas, Nāgas, Yakṣas (a type of guardian spirit), Gandharvas (a type of celestial musician), Asuras (a type of warring deity), Garudas (a mythical bird-like creature), Kinnaras (a mythical creature, half-human and half-bird), Mahoragas (a type of serpent deity), Indra (the king of the gods), Brahmā (the lord of the Brahmā realm), the Four Heavenly Kings (Lokapālas, the four guardian deities), Maheśvara (the Great Lord), Nārāyaṇa (one of the principal deities of Hinduism), and hundreds of thousands of others, respectfully surrounding him, went to his dwelling. At this time, as the World-Honored One walked along the road, there was a garden in the middle of the road called Ananda (Bliss). Within that garden was a large, old stupa (a mound-like structure containing relics), extremely damaged, with thorns, grass, and thickets growing all around, firmly closed off like a small hill. At this time, the World-Honored One approached that stupa, and flames were burning on all four sides of the small hill, displaying various colors, and the light shone brightly, visible from both near and far. Moreover, from within the light came a wonderful sound, praising, 'Excellent, excellent, Śākyamuni Buddha, pure and subtle, with immeasurable auspicious signs, beyond measure.' The great Brahmin Immaculate Radiant Light requested the Tathāgata to now manifest a rare and inconceivable great event. At this time, Śākyamuni Tathāgata, circumambulating the old, hill-like stupa, desired to express his offering, and removed his own clothes and ornaments, covering the heap of the old stupa. After covering it, he wept with sorrow and shed tears, and contemplated giving up his body.
利出現及十方佛悉皆出現。即時舍利從塔涌出。皆在十方諸佛如來手掌中住。爾時十方諸佛如來亦皆雨淚。而彼諸佛身放光明。照曜故塔作光明網。內外瑩徹清凈無比。然後光明及佛舍利還入塔中。彼時眾會。悉皆悲泣。驚怪希奇嘆未曾有。爾時會中有大藥叉主名金剛手。身光焰熾臂膊𦟛直。柔軟光澤猶如象鼻。輪金剛杵速疾往詣世尊之前。頭面禮足而白佛言。世尊云何現此希奇瑞相。及十方佛悉皆雨淚光明照曜。唯愿如來為我演說決于眾疑。爾時世尊告大藥叉主金剛手言。此是一切如來全身舍利聚此塔中。及一切如來百千俱胝胡麻形像。正法心印陀羅尼亦在塔中。應知金剛手此胡麻量諸佛形像。正法心印陀羅尼止住塔中。由此百千俱胝如來全身舍利亦住此中。若此正法心印陀羅尼在此塔中。彼八萬四千法門亦在此中。及九十九百千俱胝如來頂髻受記亦在此中。當知金剛手若一切如來舍利之塔。及此正法心印陀羅尼所有功德無量無邊不可思議不可稱歎。應知金剛手由此正法篋印心陀羅尼。而能增長圓滿一切正法及諸功德。爾時世尊說此法時。彼諸大眾聞法歡喜。滅除垢染得法眼凈。其中有得預流一來不還阿羅漢果及緣覺乘其中有證初地二地乃至十地。或於其中有得六波羅蜜悉皆圓滿。或有得受菩提之記。或有獲得阿鞞

【English Translation】 English version: When the benefits appeared, all the Buddhas of the ten directions manifested. Immediately, sharira (relics) surged forth from the stupa, residing in the palms of all the Tathagatas (Buddhas) of the ten directions. At that time, all the Tathagatas of the ten directions also rained tears, and their bodies emitted light, illuminating the ancient stupa, creating a net of light, both inside and outside, utterly clear and incomparably pure. Then, the light and the Buddha's relics returned into the stupa. At that time, the assembly all wept with sorrow, marveling at the rare and unprecedented event. At that time, in the assembly, there was a great Yaksha (a type of spirit) chief named Vajrapani (the holder of the vajra), whose body shone with blazing light, his arms strong and straight, soft and lustrous like an elephant's trunk. Wielding a vajra (thunderbolt scepter), he swiftly approached the World Honored One, prostrated himself at his feet, and said to the Buddha, 'World Honored One, how is it that you manifest this rare and auspicious sign, and all the Buddhas of the ten directions rain tears and emit radiant light? I beseech the Tathagata to explain this to me and resolve the doubts of the assembly.' Then, the World Honored One said to the great Yaksha chief Vajrapani, 'This is a collection of the complete body relics of all the Tathagatas within this stupa, as well as hundreds of thousands of kotis (a large number) of sesame seed-sized images of all the Tathagatas. The Seal of the Correct Dharma Dharani is also within this stupa. Know, Vajrapani, that these sesame seed-sized images of the Buddhas and the Seal of the Correct Dharma Dharani reside within this stupa, and therefore, hundreds of thousands of kotis of complete body relics of the Tathagatas also reside here. If this Seal of the Correct Dharma Dharani is within this stupa, then the eighty-four thousand Dharma gates are also within it, and the predictions of enlightenment received by the ushnisha (cranial protuberance) of ninety-nine hundred thousand kotis of Tathagatas are also within it. Know, Vajrapani, that the merit of a stupa containing the relics of all the Tathagatas and this Seal of the Correct Dharma Dharani is immeasurable, boundless, inconceivable, and beyond praise. Know, Vajrapani, that through this Casket Seal Dharani of the Correct Dharma, all the Correct Dharma and all merits can be increased and perfected.' At that time, when the World Honored One spoke this Dharma, the assembly rejoiced upon hearing the Dharma, eradicated defilements, and attained the pure Dharma eye. Among them, some attained the fruit of Srotapanna (stream-enterer), Sakrdagamin (once-returner), Anagamin (non-returner), and Arhat (worthy one), as well as the Pratyekabuddha (solitary Buddha) vehicle. Among them, some attained the first, second, and even tenth Bhumi (stages of a Bodhisattva), or among them, some attained the complete perfection of the Six Paramitas (perfections), or some received predictions of Bodhi (enlightenment), or some attained Avaivartika (non-retrogression).
跋致。時彼無垢妙光大婆羅門。即于會中離諸煩惱。滅除障染獲五神通。爾時金剛手大藥叉主。睹如是等希奇變現自在神通。踴躍歡喜嘆未曾有。而白佛言。世尊此正法印心陀羅尼。有如是等廣大利益。若諸有情書寫莊嚴。受持讀誦尊重讚歎。獲何果報愿佛演說。爾時世尊告大藥叉金剛手言。諦聽諦聽吾為汝說。若有苾芻苾芻尼。鄔波索迦鄔波斯迦。受持讀誦書寫尊重此正法印心陀羅尼。獲得九十九百千俱胝胡麻量等形像如來。福德之聚善根果報。又得逢事彼諸如來受菩提記。所以者何。此正法印心陀羅尼。是彼九十九百千俱胝那瑜多胡麻量等形像如來同共宣說。若復有人受持讀誦此正法印心陀羅尼經。即得值遇十方世界九十九百千俱胝那瑜多胡麻量等形像如來。若有苾芻苾芻尼。鄔波索迦鄔波斯迦。族姓男族姝女。於此正法印心陀羅尼經。若能日日恭敬供養花香。粖香花鬘涂香。細妙衣服及莊嚴具等。所獲功德如彼供養十方世界九十九百千俱胝胡麻等形像如來功德無異。又得一一如來廣大莊嚴具等。及獲無量七寶之聚如蘇彌盧。爾時眾會天龍藥叉犍闥婆阿素啰𦾨嚕茶緊那羅摩護啰誐人非人等一切大眾。悉皆驚疑嘆未曾有。如是朽爛破壞之塔。常被荊棘閉塞。草木叢林堅密充滿猶如丘埠。今日如來起大慈悲自在神通。
現如是等希奇瑞相七寶妙塔不可思議。時諸大眾稱歎無盡。即時會中有金剛手大藥叉主。而白佛言。世尊云何破壞丘埠之塔。變現如是眾妙莊嚴。爾時佛告金剛手言。離此彼壞丘埠之塔。無別七寶眾妙之塔。所以者何。隨識變現或見荊棘丘埠之塔。或見七寶眾妙莊嚴。又諸佛所現十方如來全身舍利所藏之塔。百珍七寶眾妙莊嚴。眾生惡業乃見荊棘破壞之塔。當知金剛手大藥叉主。若於末世最後分時。謂諸有情罪業深重不植善根。廣作不善三惡道業。以此因緣生無佛世。亦常不聞諸佛名字。及恒遠離僧法之名。如是之事真實不虛。所以諸佛及我雨淚悲嘆。複次金剛手。若正法將滅安住此塔。一切如來全身舍利亦乃藏於此塔之中。謂以一切如來所說之法而加護之。即時金剛手大藥叉主而白佛言。世尊一切有情。云何植善云何正法安置此塔。爾時世尊告金剛手言。若復有人信解受持讀誦書寫為人演說。種種莊嚴安置塔中。即是安置一切如來全身舍利藏此塔中。復得一切如來總持秘密而加護之。復得十方世界九十九胡麻量等形像諸佛之塔而加護之。復得一切如來頂髻眼塔而加護之。若復有人用於七寶如法加持。雕作諸佛及菩薩像。種種莊嚴安置塔中。複用傘蓋相輪寶網鈴鐸。眾妙嚴飾。鐘磬鐃鈸及諸器物。花香瓔珞衣服飲食諸

【English Translation】 English version: Now, like this, the wondrous stupa of seven treasures with auspicious signs is truly inconceivable. At that time, the assembly praised it endlessly. Then, in the assembly, there was a Vajrapani (Vajrapani, Yaksha chief), the great Yaksha chief, who said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, how is it that by destroying the mound-like stupa, such numerous and wonderful adornments are manifested?' At that time, the Buddha told Vajrapani: 'Apart from that destroyed mound-like stupa, there is no other stupa of seven treasures and wondrous adornments. What is the reason for this? According to the transformation of consciousness, sometimes one sees a stupa like a thorny mound, and sometimes one sees a stupa of seven treasures and wondrous adornments. Moreover, the stupa where the complete body relics of the Tathagatas of the ten directions are enshrined should be adorned with hundreds of treasures, seven jewels, and wondrous adornments, but because sentient beings have deep karmic offenses, they see a destroyed stupa with thorns.' 'Furthermore, Vajrapani, if the Proper Dharma is about to perish, residing in this stupa, the complete body relics of all the Tathagatas will also be enshrined within this stupa, which is protected by all the Dharma spoken by all the Tathagatas.' At that time, Vajrapani, the great Yaksha chief, said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, how do all sentient beings plant good roots, and how do they place the Proper Dharma in this stupa?' At that time, the World Honored One told Vajrapani: 'If someone has faith and understanding, upholds, recites, writes, and explains it to others, and uses various adornments to place it in the stupa, this is placing the complete body relics of all the Tathagatas in this stupa. And one will be able to obtain the protection of the Dharani-samadhi secret of all the Tathagatas. And one will be able to obtain the protection of the stupas of the Buddhas of the form of ninety-nine sesame seeds in the ten directions. And one will be able to obtain the protection of the ushnisha-eye stupa of all the Tathagatas. 【English Translation】 English version: Offerings and the like. Furthermore, with the true Dharma (Saddharma) of all Tathagatas (如來,one who has thus gone) blessed, making it truly pure. Diligently and constantly, being free from laziness. Moreover, if this stupa (塔,a mound-like or hemispherical structure containing relics) becomes dilapidated over time, it should be repaired and adorned with various offerings. With sincere faith and reverence, without doubt or slander, that person will attain Anuttara-bodhi (無上菩提,unsurpassed enlightenment). If someone circumambulates this stupa, even one or two times, or even just one prostration, they will be liberated from the sins of Avici (無間,the hell of incessant suffering). They will surely attain Avaivartika (阿毗跋致,non-retrogression), and ultimately achieve Buddha-bodhi (佛果菩提,the enlightenment of a Buddha). If the images of all Buddhas of the ten directions are also present in the place where this stupa is located. Furthermore, if this stupa is located in a place, due to the protective power of all the Tathagatas, there will be no harm from poisonous dragons (Naga,龍), hail, storms, untimely rain, or any fears in the four directions of that land. There will also be no poisonous insects or ants in that place, such as poisonous snakes, wolves, rats, locusts, vipers, scorpions, wasps, black bees, even centipedes, and millipedes will all stay away. Moreover, there will be no violent tigers, wolves, or lions in that land, and birds and beasts will not be able to harm anyone. Furthermore, all calamities will not disturb that land, and there will be no Yakshas (夜叉,a type of spirit), Rakshasas (羅剎,a demon), Bhutas (部多,a ghost), Vetala (吠多拏,a vampire), Pisacas (毗舍遮,a flesh-eating demon), or mad ghosts that can cause harm. There will also be no malaria, sores, scrofula, hemorrhoids, fistulas, leucoderma, scabies, or any diseases that can invade. If someone sees this precious stupa and rejoices, praising and paying homage, no damage or harm can invade. Moreover, in that land, cattle, horses, sheep, dogs, and various animals, as well as men and women, will not die prematurely, and there will be no fear of weapons, swords, fire, or drowning. There will also be no famine, epidemics, or various fears in that land. That place will always be surrounded and protected by the Four Great Kings (Caturmaharajakayikas,四大天王,the four heavenly kings), and the twenty-eight great Yaksha chiefs will secretly come to protect them. The gods of the Trayastrimsa Heaven (三十三天,the Heaven of Thirty-three), the twenty-eight constellations, Rahu (羅睺,a celestial body), and even the sun and moon will move smoothly day and night. If the Dragon Kings (Naga,龍王) constantly observe and send rain in due season. Or if all the gods of the desire realm, the form realm, and even the formless realm, come to this stupa at all three times (past, present, and future) to pay homage and make offerings to all the Tathagatas, respectfully honoring, remembering, and contemplating. If someone constantly repairs and adorns the image of the Buddha's stupa, using wood, stone, mud, paintings, gold, silver, brass, or other materials, as well as this Dharma-mudra (正法印,the seal of the true Dharma).

【English Translation】 English version: Writing and reverently offering the 'Heart Dharani Sutra', and protecting it with all Tathagatas according to the Dharma, then placing it within a precious stupa. The four sides of this stupa's steps should be adorned with various ornaments, with a spire and banners hanging around, and bells ringing crisply. Decorate it with a seven-jeweled net, its height and size adjustable at will, adorned in various ways. Then, bless it with the Right Dharma of the Tathagatas of the ten directions, and protect it with the Dharma of all sages. Then, display incense, flowers, food, and even necklaces in various ways, offering them with sincerity and reverence. By doing so, one can obtain immeasurable merits. At that time, in the assembly, there was a Vajrapani (Vajra-holding, a Bodhisattva) Great Yaksha (a type of nature spirit) Lord, who again said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, what is the cause and condition that enables those who write, uphold, offer, and respect this 'Right Dharma Seal Heart Dharani' to obtain such immeasurable merits?'
At this time, the World Honored One told Vajrapani: 'This is the secret casket seal heart dharani of the whole-body relics of all Tathagatas in the Dharma Realm, which is why it can obtain such immeasurable merits.' At that time, the Vajrapani Great Yaksha Lord, hearing the immeasurable merits spoken by the Buddha, rejoiced and believed, and again said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, may the Buddha compassionately expound this Dharma, we are all eager to hear it.' At this time, the World Honored One told Vajrapani: 'Listen carefully, I will now speak to you. This 'Right Dharma Seal Heart Dharani' is jointly proclaimed by the Buddhas of the past, future, and present. If there are those who believe, respect, and offer it, even attaining the Sravaka (a disciple of Buddha), Pratyekabuddha (one who attains enlightenment alone), and the Dharma-kaya (Dharma body), Sambhoga-kaya (Enjoyment body), and Nirmana-kaya (Emanation body) of the ten Bhumis (stages of Bodhisattva development), therefore it is called the whole-body Right Dharma secret casket seal.'
At that time, the World Honored One then spoke the mantra:

【English Translation】 English version (Dvistu)Dvistu bi,tathāgatā dhistite,hulu hulu hum hum svāhā,om sarva tathāgata ushnisha dharani mudri,sarva tathāgata dhātu vibhūshita dhistite hum hum hum svāhā.
At that time, the World Honored One, having spoken this mantra, said to Vajrapani: 'This Sarva-tathāgata-kāya-guhya-maṇḍala-cakra-mudrā, the Dhāraṇī of the Heart-Seal of the Entire Body's Secret Treasure Chest, is universally proclaimed by all the Tathagatas. Throughout the ten directions, in each direction, there are as many Tathagatas as ninety-nine sesame seeds, hundreds of thousands of kotis of nayutas of Buddhas and Tathagatas. Hearing this Dharma being spoken, they all come here and together praise, saying: "Excellent! Excellent! Sakyamuni, you are skilled in expounding the Dhāraṇī of the Heart-Seal of the Treasure Chest of the Correct Dharma, widely causing it to spread throughout Jambudvipa." Furthermore, it causes all sentient beings to place the relics of their entire bodies within this stupa. Because of this, all the Tathagatas of the ten directions protect it with all kinds of Samadhi. If there is someone who receives, upholds, recites, explains, and writes this scripture of the Dhāraṇī of the Heart-Seal of the Secret Treasure Chest of the Entire Body's Relics, and adorns it with gold, silver, and sandalwood carvings, placing it within the stupa, then all the Tathagatas of the ten directions will constantly come here to protect it.'
At that time, when the World Honored One spoke this Dhāraṇī of the Heart-Seal of the Treasure Chest of the Correct Dharma, from within this old, ruined mound appeared a seven-jeweled, subtle stupa, adorned with a spire, banners, and various ornaments. All the humans and devas saw it without exception, appearing as it had been for a long time. At that time, the great Bodhisattvas, Sravakas, the eight classes of gods and dragons, humans and non-humans in the assembly, seeing this rare and wonderful sight, were all delighted. At that time, when the World Honored One spoke this Dharma, the great assembly, Vajrapani, the great Yaksa chief, the great Brahmin of Immaculate Wonderful Light...
羅門。並諸菩薩諸大聲聞。天龍藥叉犍闥婆阿素啰𦾨嚕荼緊那啰么護啰誐人非人等。國王大臣長者居士。一切大眾聞佛所說。一心信受歡喜而退。

【English Translation】 English version: Rāmaṇa (Brahmin). And all the Bodhisattvas, all the great Śrāvakas (Hearers). Devas (gods), Nāgas (dragons), Yakṣas (a type of spirit), Gandharvas (celestial musicians), Asuras (demi-gods), Garuḍas (mythical birds), Kinnaras (mythical beings, half-human and half-horse), Mahoragas (great serpents), humans, non-humans, and others. Kings, ministers, elders, lay practitioners. All the assembly, hearing what the Buddha said, with one mind believed and accepted it, rejoiced, and withdrew.
