爾時世尊依六波羅蜜說法。所謂檀波羅蜜。佈施果報得大福德聚。得不退轉自在。天雨七寶不求自得。諸大伏藏自然出現。說尸波羅蜜。所謂凈戒果報。獲得五通而生梵天。說羼提波羅蜜。所謂忍辱果報得天色相。妙好莊嚴一切樂見。說毗梨耶波羅蜜。所謂欲修精進。使彼魔王見者降伏。所得果報超出生死。忽然之間遊玩佛剎。說禪波羅蜜。所謂凈慮果報獲得首楞嚴三摩地。復得無數百千俱胝那由多三摩地。說般若波羅蜜。所謂智慧果報得大福聚。獲彼多聞廣大如海。

The Sutra of the Crown of the Buddha, Emitting Immaculate Light, Entering the Universal Gate, Observing the Mind Dharani of All Tathagatas, Volume 1
Translated by the Tripitaka Master and Dharma Transmitter Shihu (Shihu), a Purple-Robed Shramana from the Imperial Palace Temple of Uddiyana (Uddiyana) in Northern India, under Imperial Decree.
Thus have I heard. At one time, the World Honored One was in the Tushita (Tushita) Heaven Palace, with a great assembly of Bodhisattvas, along with their retinues, various hosts of Devas, Brahma Kings, Narayana (Narayana) Deva, Great自在 Deva, the foremost sons of the Devas, and other great assemblies, all gathered together.
At that time, the World Honored One expounded the Dharma based on the Six Paramitas (Six Paramitas). Namely, Dāna-pāramitā (Dāna-pāramitā), the karmic result of generosity is obtaining a great accumulation of merit, attaining irreversible自在. The heavens rain down the seven treasures, obtained without seeking. Various great hidden treasures naturally appear. Expounding Śīla-pāramitā (Śīla-pāramitā), namely, the karmic result of pure precepts is obtaining the five supernormal powers and being born in the Brahma Heaven. Expounding Kṣānti-pāramitā (Kṣānti-pāramitā), namely, the karmic result of patience is obtaining the appearance of a Deva, wonderfully adorned, pleasing to all who see. Expounding Vīrya-pāramitā (Vīrya-pāramitā), namely, desiring to cultivate diligence, causing the Mara King to be subdued upon seeing it, the karmic result obtained transcends birth and death, suddenly wandering through Buddha-lands. Expounding Dhyāna-pāramitā (Dhyāna-pāramitā), namely, the karmic result of pure contemplation is obtaining the Śūraṅgama-samādhi (Śūraṅgama-samādhi), and also obtaining countless hundreds of thousands of kotis of nayutas of samadhis. Expounding Prajñā-pāramitā (Prajñā-pāramitā), namely, the karmic result of wisdom is obtaining a great accumulation of merit, acquiring vast and extensive learning, like the sea.
At that time, those hosts of Devas, upon hearing this Dharma of the Six Paramitas, were greatly delighted, contemplating, thinking, cultivating, and observing day and night. In that wilderness, the name of water was not heard, let alone the water itself. There were no trees and no shade. He was always in the sun, his body burning, only eating hot earth. He was also pecked by crows, his body falling apart piece by piece. Due to the power of karma, his body would grow and then immediately break apart. He suffered such pain for five full years before dying. Then, in that city, he was reborn as a fish, with a huge body. Due to the power of karma, he fell into a place without water. Jackals, rats, dogs, and Nirvika beasts all came to devour him. Various birds and beasts also came to eat him. Due to the power of karma, he obtained water and was revived, growing a new body. He suffered such pain for three full years before dying. Then, within Jambudvipa (the continent where humans live), he was born into seven castes, always with much suffering. He said, 'Is there no savior? If the Bhagavan does not have compassion and save us, who will be the savior?' The Bhagavan said to Indra, 'There is a dharani (mantra) called Buddha-ushnisha Nirmala-prabha-rasmi Sarva-dvara-mukha Avalokita Sarva-tathagata-hridaya, this is the savior. Impermanence is the greatest, and those difficulties that are hard to avoid can be avoided by praying. Those sentient beings who, at the time of their death, can obtain peace. If, after death, they fall into all the hells and animal realms, they can be liberated. If they constantly remember this dharani, all obstacles and difficulties can be permanently removed, and they can also obtain long life, fulfill their good wishes, and see their own pure nature.'

World-Honored One, the Tathāgata has great wisdom, may you bestow the Dharma Seal and provide great protection for the world, pervading the ten directions, and for us.'
At that time, Śākyamuni Tathāgata, having received the earnest repeated requests of those devas, then entered a Samadhi called 'Observing Universal Aspects'. When entering that Samadhi, from his uṣṇīṣa (頂髻) he emitted light of universal aspects, illuminating the ten directions of the world, returning to dwell in the sky like a jeweled umbrella.
At that time, the World-Honored One gazed at Śakra (天帝) and told him, 'Lord Śakra, listen carefully, listen carefully. I have a Dharma Seal called the 'Buddha's Crown Emitting Immaculate Light Entering the Universal Gate Observing the Samaya Dhāraṇī (誓言真言) of All Tathāgata's Hearts'. It is proclaimed together by ninety-nine hundred thousand koṭis nayutas of Gaṅgā sands (恒河) of Tathāgatas. If there are sentient beings who see, hear, and rejoice in this Dhāraṇī, all the karmic offenses of the three times, which would cause them to fall into hell, evil realms, and even as animals, will all be destroyed, and they will be liberated from fear. All karmic obstacles will be eliminated, like a great fire burning dry grass, the wind blowing the ashes away in an instant. Also, like a great rain falling from the sky, its water rushing swiftly, the mountains, rivers, plants, and all impurities are suddenly purified. Also, like true gold being refined in fire, becoming even more pliable, it can then be made into various vessels. If there are those who uphold and recite this Dhāraṇī, they will have no doubts, and will see their own three karmas purified, like the sun rising and its light shining everywhere. Also, like a fish that has lost water, it regains water, relies on the water, and receives happiness again. The Sutra of the Buddha's Crown Emitting Immaculate Light Entering the Universal Gate Observing the Heart Dharani of All Thus Come Ones, Volume 2
Translated by Shihu (Protection of Alms), a purple-robed Shramana and Master of the Tripitaka, who transmits the Dharma at the Emperor's Palace Temple in the Kingdom of Uitiannang (Uttara) in Northern India, by Imperial Decree.
At that time, the World Honored One told Dishitianzhu (Lord Shakra, King of the Gods): 'If there is someone who can write out this 'Buddha's Crown Emitting Immaculate Light Entering the Universal Gate Observing the Heart Dharani of All Thus Come Ones', build a stupa to enshrine it, or repair an old stupa to enshrine it, and further use fine incense and scented paste to make various music and dances as offerings, and also purify body and mind, reciting this dharani during the six periods of a day and night, and circumambulating it one hundred and eight times, then they will be able to extinguish all evil karma and generate all good seeds. Lord of Gods, if you wish to enshrine this heart-illumination, then sit facing east when the sun first rises, use various fragrant muds to paint a Mandala, face the sun and scatter various flowers, burn agarwood incense, Duluosejia incense (Turushka incense), etc., take refuge and prostrate to all the Thus Come Ones one hundred and eight times, and place this heart-illumination in the stupa, just as if you were using ninety-nine hundred thousand kotis nayutas times Ganges sands of Thus Come Ones, each Thus Come One's whole-body relics, and placing them in the stupa, there is no difference. Furthermore, write out this 'Buddha's Crown Immaculate Universal Gate Three Worlds Thus Come One Heart Dharani' and place it in the stupa.' The dharani is as follows:

爾時帝釋天主。於世尊處授此明已。為摩尼藏無垢天子。而於彼時往自宮中。先依如來所說儀軌。依法作塔如彼法相。燒香禮拜一心念誦祈消業報。當作之時彼摩尼藏無垢天子。所有一切罪業苦惱之報皆悉消除。又復獲得殊勝之身如彼真金。目青瑩澈發鬒光潔。又復獲得一切如來。當於面前虛空中現。彼諸如來口稱善哉。時摩尼藏無垢天子得業清凈罪障消除。復見自性生大忻慶。即說頌曰。
如來不思議 明力亦難思 正法復亦然 獲得見果報
復說偈言。
頂禮歸命真實際 釋迦牟尼大導師 本行悲愍濟眾生 隨愿等同如意寶
爾時摩尼藏無垢天子說此偈已。歸自宮殿。與諸眷屬天子天女之眾

If the Lord of Gods can generate reverence for this Immaculate Universal Gate Three-World Tathagata Heart Dharani Stupa, all past karmic obstacles leading to a short life will be eliminated, and lifespan will be increased, with the protection of all the gods. When this person's life ends and they relinquish this body, like a snake shedding its skin, they will be reborn in the Land of Bliss, not falling into the realms of hell, animals, or Yama, and will not fall into any evil realms. They will not even hear the name of hell, obtaining such unprecedented rewards.
At that time, after receiving this mantra from the World Honored One, Indra, the Lord of Gods, for the sake of the Immaculate Son of God Manicagarbha, returned to his palace. First, according to the ritual described by the Tathagata, he lawfully constructed a stupa, following its proper form, burning incense, prostrating, and reciting with a focused mind, praying for the elimination of karmic retribution. As he did this, all the karmic retributions of suffering and affliction of the Immaculate Son of God Manicagarbha were completely eliminated, and he obtained a sublime body like pure gold, with clear blue eyes and dark, lustrous hair. Moreover, all the Tathagatas appeared before him in the empty sky, and the Tathagatas praised, 'Excellent!' At that time, the Immaculate Son of God Manicagarbha attained purity of karma, his karmic obstacles were eliminated, and he saw his own nature, generating great joy. Then he spoke the following verse:
'The Tathagata is inconceivable, the power of the mantra is also difficult to conceive, so is the Right Dharma, one can obtain the reward of seeing the fruit.'
He then spoke another verse:
'I bow and take refuge in the true reality, Shakyamuni, the great teacher, whose fundamental practice is compassionately saving sentient beings, fulfilling wishes like a wish-fulfilling jewel.'
At that time, after the Immaculate Son of God Manicagarbha spoke this verse, he returned to his palace, with his retinue of sons and daughters of the gods.

爾時會中四大天王梵王那羅延天大自在天金剛手大藥叉主等。向世尊前合掌恭敬。白世尊言世尊。此摩尼藏無垢天子。宿造何業獲得如是極惡果報。受大苦惱憂愁無量。佛言善哉善哉善男子快問斯義。汝當諦聽為汝宣說。金剛手過去之世。彼南印度有城名廣圓滿。有婆羅門名曰無垢。而住彼城為說法師。性識聰敏善能分別諸法之相。色貌端嚴形儀威肅見者歡喜。有善信者當爲說此心明。而復廣為利益一切眾生故。於此明王陀羅尼。恒常思惟審諦觀察。是時復有長者名曰光明。亦住彼城。財富無量得大自在。諸婆羅門咸所隨順。複次無垢婆羅門。一時為人解說此心明王陀羅尼。是時光明長者生不喜心作如是思惟。此婆羅門我當如魚如龜片片割截。復以糞穢著于口中。時彼長者作是思惟興噁心已。尋便獲得白癩病報。受大疼痛極大苦惱直至命終。既命終已。生於無間大地獄中。住彼一劫受大苦惱。出彼獄已生魚龜中。亦經一劫而受苦報。然後命終。又復生大黑繩地獄。受大苦惱亦復一劫

【English Translation】 English version: Each of them held various kinds of heavenly flowers and floral garlands, various kinds of heavenly incense, fine incense powder, and perfumed ointments, even heavenly garments adorned with exquisite beauty. Together with Śakra, the Lord of the Gods, they also solemnly held heavenly fragrant flowers and wonderful offering implements. They went again to the Tuṣita Palace to visit the World-Honored One. Having arrived at the Buddha's place, they made great offerings. Moreover, they made offerings with various kinds of heavenly activities. Furthermore, they circumambulated hundreds of thousands of times. Having extended their offerings, they sat before the World-Honored One, desiring to hear the Dharma.
At that time, the Four Great Heavenly Kings, Brahmā, Nārāyaṇa (Vishnu), Mahādeva (Shiva), Vajrapāṇi (the wielder of the vajra), the great Yakṣa lords, and others in the assembly, facing the World-Honored One, joined their palms respectfully and said to the World-Honored One: 'World-Honored One, what deeds did this Maṇicandra Nirmala Deva (Immaculate Celestial Being of the Jewel Treasury) commit in the past to obtain such extremely evil retribution, suffering great distress and immeasurable sorrow?' The Buddha said: 'Excellent! Excellent! Good son, you have asked well about this meaning. You should listen attentively, and I will explain it to you.' Vajrapāṇi, in the past, in southern India, there was a city named Extensive Perfection. There was a Brahmin named Nirmala (Immaculate), who lived in that city as a Dharma teacher. He was naturally intelligent, skilled in distinguishing the characteristics of all dharmas, with a dignified and majestic appearance, pleasing to those who saw him. If there were faithful people, he would explain this Heart-Light (Heart Mantra) for them, and for the sake of extensively benefiting all sentient beings, he would constantly contemplate and carefully observe this Vidyārāja Dhāraṇī (Bright King Dharani). At that time, there was also a wealthy man named Prabhāsa (Luminescence), who also lived in that city, with immeasurable wealth and great freedom, followed by many Brahmins. Furthermore, Nirmala Brahmin, once explained this Heart-Light King Dhāraṇī to people. At this time, the wealthy man Prabhāsa became displeased and thought thus: 'I should cut this Brahmin piece by piece like a fish or a turtle, and then put filth and excrement in his mouth.' At that time, after that wealthy man thought in this way and aroused evil thoughts, he immediately obtained the retribution of white leprosy, suffering great pain and extreme distress until his death. After his death, he was born in the Avīci Great Hell, where he stayed for one kalpa, suffering great distress. After coming out of that hell, he was born among fish and turtles, also experiencing suffering for one kalpa. Then, after his death, he was born in the Great Black Rope Hell, suffering great distress, also for one kalpa.
。后出彼獄。卻于本住之城生盲種中。生即無目。以宿緣故得聞苾芻住彼彼寺。心生信重親自尋覓。而彼苾芻常行悲愍。既見來已慈心攝取。更與美食。然後復與解說此心明陀羅尼。既得聞已審諦思惟。乃於此生獲宿命通。即能思惟本所從來。又復思惟業力甚大。悔恨無量作是念已。即便命終。承陀羅尼威德力故。生忉利天處妙宮殿。與諸天女眷屬受大快樂。餘業熟故此苦現前。
金剛手爾時彼長者生疑譭謗者。即摩尼藏無垢天子是金剛手彼摩尼藏無垢。當受如是諸苦報已。后修善業歸命三寶漸證善果。乃至當來獲得佛菩提故。
金剛手爾時無垢婆羅門者。后為苾芻復與彼生盲。解說此陀羅尼者。即文殊師利童子是。
爾時諸天大眾等。得聞說此過去事已。嘆言希有甚奇甚特歡喜無量。乃發大聲即說頌曰。
不可思議大明力 解脫三塗乃求得 同如意寶而平等 此實如來真三昧
爾時彼眾會中九十二千天子得不退轉。百千俱胝天女變女人相而成男子。亦復獲得住不退轉。爾時金剛手大藥叉主。白佛言世尊。大不思議而能讚歎此大明王陀羅尼。世尊愿更宣說成就儀軌。當使眾生於后時分獲得利益安樂。不墮地獄傍生焰魔羅界。
爾時世尊愍彼請已。告金剛手大藥叉主言。諦聽

【English Translation】 English version: After he emerged from that prison, he was reborn in the city where he originally lived, into a family of the congenitally blind. He was born without eyes. Due to past karmic connections, he heard that Bhikkhus (Buddhist monks) were residing in nearby temples, and with faith in his heart, he personally sought them out. That Bhikkhu often practiced compassion, and upon seeing him, he compassionately accepted him, gave him delicious food, and then explained to him this Heart-Illuminating Dhāraṇī (mantra). After hearing it, he contemplated it carefully, and in this life, he attained the ability to recall past lives (ability to recall past lives), able to remember where he came from. He also thought about how powerful karma is, and felt immeasurable regret. After thinking this, he passed away. By the power of the Dhāraṇī, he was reborn in the Trāyastriṃśa Heaven (Buddhist Heaven of Thirty-three Gods) in a beautiful palace, enjoying great happiness with the celestial maidens as his retinue. Because of remaining karma, this suffering now manifests.
Vajrapāṇi (Buddhist protector deity)! That elder who suffered because of doubt and slander was Maṇicandra Vimalaprabha devaputra (Son of God with the light of stainless moon). Vajrapāṇi! This Maṇicandra Vimalaprabha, after enduring these sufferings, will cultivate good deeds, take refuge in the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha), gradually attain good results, and eventually attain Buddha-bodhi (Buddha's enlightenment) in the future.
Vajrapāṇi! That Vimala Brahmin (Stainless Brahmin), who later became a Bhikkhu and explained this Dhāraṇī to the congenitally blind person, was Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta (Manjushri Bodhisattva).
At that time, the assembly of gods and others, after hearing these past events, exclaimed: 'Rare! How truly wonderful and extraordinary!' They felt immeasurable joy, and then uttered a great sound, reciting this verse:
Inconceivable is the power of the Great Light, Liberation from the three evil paths is attained, Equal to the wish-fulfilling jewel, This is truly the Tathāgata's true Samādhi (meditative state).
At that time, in that assembly, ninety-two thousand devaputras (sons of gods) attained non-retrogression (avaivartika, no longer regressing from the path to Buddhahood), and hundreds of thousands of koṭis (Indian numerical unit) of celestial maidens transformed their female bodies into male bodies, and also attained the state of non-retrogression. At that time, Vajrapāṇi yakṣa-adhipati (Vajrapani, the great Yaksha Lord), said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One! It is truly inconceivable that one can praise this Great Light King Dhāraṇī. World Honored One, may you again proclaim the ritual for its accomplishment, so that sentient beings in the future may obtain benefit and happiness, and not fall into the hells (Naraka), the realm of animals (Tiryagyoni), or the realm of Yama (Yamaloka, the world of King Yama).'
At that time, the World Honored One, taking pity on his request, said to Vajrapāṇi yakṣa-adhipati: 'Listen carefully.'
諦聽我今為汝宣說此陀羅尼成就儀軌。於後時後分。若有族姓男族姓女苾芻苾芻尼鄔播索俱鄔播斯迦。唸誦此明王一遍。由如旋繞二十如來全身之塔。又若唸誦此二如意寶一遍。同彼十殑伽沙等百千俱胝那余多如來所。而種善根。獲大福報。五無間業悉皆滅盡。乃至地獄傍生焰魔羅界。一切罪障皆得解脫復得長壽。此界命盡由如蛇蛻。即便往生安樂世界不受胞胎。于蓮華中自然化生。所生之處得宿命智。又復恒常親近供養一切如來。一切所求皆悉滿足。若彼依法清凈澡浴著鮮潔衣。作四方曼拏羅。用好樺皮書此心明。復作五塔安壇四角及彼中心。於五塔中安置心明。又于中心安置相輪。于相輪楟上系赤色絹以為幖幟。壇上安四賢瓶四香爐燒四種香。所謂藿香沉香栴檀及安息等。散諸名華粖香。置閼伽器等旋繞曼拏羅。唸誦此二如意寶一百八遍。若人為蛇所螫。或疾病纏染壽命將盡或中夭者。至於兵戈怖畏乃至為求子息。當於曼拏羅前安五般林樹之葉。以彼樹葉拂于身上。于塔曼拏羅發諦善心作諸供養。若能一一依此儀軌者。於前百千劫所有積聚罪業障難獲得解脫。一切煩惱一切疾病。一切怖畏悉皆遠離。至於地獄傍生焰魔羅界。一切惡業亦得解脫。乃至世間一切罪障。毒害苦惱咸皆破滅。若有專注唸誦。短壽之人獲得
長壽。若有久患瘡痍久久不瘥便得痊瘥。身根圓滿清凈微妙。意所求事皆悉獲得。乃至命終面前不見一切苦惱。命終之後由如蛇蛻。往生安樂世界。所生之處蓮華化生。諸所受用悉皆殊妙得宿命通。若依儀軌日日三時念誦二十一遍。乃至誦滿一年。獲得普門觀察光明三摩地。得見十方一切佛剎中一切如來。又得無垢清凈焰熾極清凈身得心清凈。同於八十二殑伽沙等百千俱胝那余多佛所而種善根。輪迴往返常處清凈。應有佛剎求往皆至。欲生安樂世界應念即生。死相苦惱皆不現前。乃至夢中亦復不見。若於八日十四日十五日。旋繞如來全身之塔。誦此二大如意寶陀羅尼八百遍。當誦之時塔中有聲。安慰行人而稱善哉。彼人現世所有一切罪障及諸煩惱。乃至貪瞋癡無明垢穢皆悉消除。獲得無垢極清凈身。若復男子女人童男童女聞唸誦聲。所有罪障悉得解脫。若唸誦之聲墮諸傍生。及以飛禽四足二足多足無足種種蟲蟻含識之類。一切業道悉皆解脫。若於冢間掘取骸骨。咒其沙土二十一遍散於骨上。彼之神識隨其方處所墮地獄。悉皆解脫生善逝天。彼彼天人身雨異花降於冢間。若復行人在於冢間山間唸誦之時。所有飛禽走獸種種之類。遊行至彼悉得解脫業報之身生善逝天。若唸誦佛頂無垢普門三世如來心陀羅尼八千遍者。火不
能燒。所作惡業乃至五無間業便得解脫。若誦百千遍。命終之時被焰魔使以索繫頸。牽入焰魔羅界。彼界之內一切地獄悉皆破壞返生怖畏。尋令回還而得解脫。謂彼行人法王之使。住靜慮道無有疑惑。欲生安樂世界隨愿往生。若誦百千遍得金色之身相貌圓滿。三世如來視如一子。若書寫百千本造其百千塔。如法安置莊嚴熾盛。決定得不退轉安住十地。由如於彼九十九百千俱胝那余多殑伽沙等如來所。而種善根獲得受記。即說頌曰。
彼一塔中安心明 豎立輪楟著幖幟 同三世佛全身藏 滿百千塔此應知
又若於彼一切故塔重加修飾。獲不退轉當來證得無上正等正覺。利益人天迨及蠕動。解脫惡趣得不退轉。功德無量不能稱讚。
爾時金剛手大藥叉主。四大王天梵天那羅延天大自在天。在睹史多宮所住天子。乃至帝釋及忉利天子摩尼藏無垢等。咸皆一心繞佛三匝。卻住佛前合掌恭敬。白佛言世尊。此如意寶陀羅尼。大不思議甚奇希有難見難聞。世尊我等同心於後世時。若有眾生恒常受持此如意寶令久住世。為諸眾生分別解說者。我等恒常以誠諦心。潛密擁護由如赤子。佛言善哉善哉汝等如是。我今以此如意寶明王付囑汝等。汝善護持。佛說是經已。諸大菩薩及諸天眾。咸皆歡喜作禮而退。

『那一座塔中安心明,豎立輪橖(塔上的輪狀裝飾)著幖幟(旗幟), 同三世佛全身藏,滿百千塔此應知。』
又如果對於一切舊塔重新加以修飾,就能獲得不退轉,將來證得無上正等正覺(指最高的覺悟,成佛),利益人天乃至蠕動之物,解脫惡趣,得到不退轉。功德無量,無法稱讚。
這時,金剛手(Vajrapani)大藥叉主(Yaksa,一種神祇),四大王天(四大天王),梵天(Brahma),那羅延天(Narayana,印度教神祇),大自在天(Mahesvara,濕婆神),在睹史多宮(Tusita Heaven,彌勒菩薩居住的兜率天)所住的天子,乃至帝釋(Indra,忉利天之主)及忉利天子(Trayastrimsa Heaven),摩尼藏無垢等,都一心一意地繞佛三匝,退後站在佛前,合掌恭敬,對佛說:『世尊,這如意寶陀羅尼(Cintamanicakra Dharani)太不可思議了,非常稀奇罕見,難以聽聞。世尊,我們同心協力,在後世之時,如果有眾生恒常受持這如意寶,令其長久住世,為眾生分別解說,我們就會恒常以誠實之心,秘密地擁護他,如同對待自己的孩子一樣。』佛說:『很好,很好,你們就這樣做。我現在將這如意寶明王(Cintamanicakra)付囑給你們,你們要好好守護。』佛說完這部經后,諸大菩薩及諸天眾,都歡喜地作禮而退。
【English Translation】 English version: It can be burned. The evil karma created, even the five heinous offenses (matricide, patricide, killing an Arhat, causing disunity in the Sangha, and shedding the blood of a Buddha), will be liberated. If recited hundreds of thousands of times, at the time of death, the messengers of Yama (Yama, the lord of death) will tie a rope around the neck and drag one into the realm of Yamaraja (Yamaraja, the realm governed by Yama). Within that realm, all the hells will be destroyed, returning to generate fear. Immediately, one will be sent back and attain liberation. It is said that the practitioner is a messenger of the Dharma King (Buddha), abiding in the path of meditative concentration without doubt. Desiring to be born in the Land of Bliss (Western Pure Land), one can be reborn according to one's wishes. If recited hundreds of thousands of times, one will attain a golden body with perfect features. The Tathagatas (Tathagata, thus-gone-one, an epithet of the Buddha) of the three times (past, present, and future) will regard one as their only child. If one writes out hundreds of thousands of copies and builds hundreds of thousands of stupas, arranging them lawfully with magnificent adornments, one will definitely attain non-retrogression and abide in the ten bhumis (ten stages of a Bodhisattva's path). It is as if one has planted good roots and received predictions (prediction of future Buddhahood) in the presence of ninety-nine hundred thousand kotis nayutas of Ganges sands (an immense number) of Tathagatas. Then the verse was spoken:
'In that one stupa, the mind is peacefully clear, Erecting a wheel-staff (a wheel-like ornament on the stupa) and attaching banners (flags), It is the complete body repository of the Buddhas of the three times, This should be known as filling hundreds of thousands of stupas.'
Furthermore, if one repairs all old stupas, one will attain non-retrogression and realize Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (highest perfect enlightenment, Buddhahood) in the future, benefiting humans and devas (deities) and even crawling creatures, liberating them from evil destinies and attaining non-retrogression. The merits are immeasurable and cannot be praised.
At that time, Vajrapani (Vajrapani, a Bodhisattva) the great Yaksha (Yaksa, a type of spirit) lord, the Four Great Kings (Four Heavenly Kings), Brahma (Brahma, a deity), Narayana (Narayana, a Hindu deity), Mahesvara (Mahesvara, Shiva), the devas residing in the Tushita Heaven (Tusita Heaven, where Maitreya Bodhisattva resides), even Indra (Indra, ruler of the Trayastrimsa Heaven) and the devas of the Trayastrimsa Heaven (Trayastrimsa Heaven), Manicara, Vimala, and others, all single-mindedly circumambulated the Buddha three times. Retreating and standing before the Buddha, they joined their palms respectfully and said to the Buddha: 'World-Honored One, this Cintamanicakra Dharani (Cintamanicakra Dharani, a wish-fulfilling jewel mantra) is inconceivable, extremely rare and difficult to see and hear. World-Honored One, we are of one mind, in future times, if there are beings who constantly uphold this Cintamanicakra, causing it to abide in the world for a long time, and explain it separately for the sake of beings, we will constantly protect them secretly with sincere hearts, just like our own children.' The Buddha said: 'Excellent, excellent, may you do so. I now entrust this Cintamanicakra Vidyaraja (Cintamanicakra, a wisdom king) to you, may you protect and uphold it well.' After the Buddha finished speaking this sutra, the great Bodhisattvas and all the devas rejoiced, paid homage, and withdrew.
