序品第一

如是我聞。一時佛在寶峰大山寶間錯峰宮殿之中。其處百千寶蓋種種行樹。悅意香華佈散嚴飾。諸大阿羅漢大目乾連舍利弗阿難等。千二百五十人前後圍繞。復與無量菩薩金剛手菩薩曼殊室利菩薩寶幢菩薩等為上首俱。復有毗沙門。滿賢。半旨迦。梵王帝釋那羅延天龍藥叉。羅剎。必哩多。毗舍遮。緊那羅摩呼羅伽等百千眷屬。周匝而住恭敬供養。

爾時如來坐于雜寶間錯大師子座。為觀自在菩薩等。說菩提薩埵行門法要。

時觀自在菩薩摩訶薩大悲者。繞佛三匝偏袒右肩。右膝著地合掌恭敬。而白佛言世尊我由一法生愛樂歡喜。大悲勤勇心生利益安樂。加護有情。所謂自心明王之王。名三世最勝。我今欲說是法。佛言摩訶薩埵汝今說之。時觀自在菩薩承佛教旨。即說自心真言曰。

序品第一

如是我聞。一時,佛在寶峰大山寶間錯峰宮殿之中。那裡有成百上千的寶蓋和各種各樣的行樹,令人愉悅的香花遍佈,莊嚴地裝飾著。有諸大阿羅漢(Arahan,已證得無學果位的聖者),大目乾連(Mahamoggallana,神通第一的佛陀弟子),舍利弗(Sariputta,智慧第一的佛陀弟子),阿難(Ananda,佛陀的侍者)等一千二百五十人前後圍繞。還有無量的菩薩,金剛手菩薩(Vajrapani,象徵力量和保護的菩薩),曼殊室利菩薩(Manjusri,文殊菩薩,象徵智慧的菩薩),寶幢菩薩(Ratnaketu,以寶幢為標誌的菩薩)等為上首一同聚集。還有毗沙門(Vaisravana,北方守護神),滿賢(Purnabhadra,藥叉大將),半旨迦(Pancika,藥叉大將),梵王(Brahma,色界天之主),帝釋(Indra,忉利天之主),那羅延天(Narayana,印度教主神之一),龍(Naga,具有神通的蛇形生物),藥叉(Yaksa,一種半神),羅剎(Rakshasa,惡鬼),必哩多(Preta,餓鬼),毗舍遮(Pisaca,食人鬼),緊那羅(Kinnara,一種天人),摩呼羅伽(Mahoraga,一種非人)等成百上千的眷屬,在四周居住,恭敬地供養。

那時,如來坐在雜寶鑲嵌的大獅子座上,為觀自在菩薩(Avalokitesvara,觀音菩薩)等宣說菩提薩埵(Bodhisattva,菩薩)的修行法門要義。

這時,觀自在菩薩摩訶薩(Mahasattva,大菩薩),大悲者,繞佛三匝,偏袒右肩,右膝著地,合掌恭敬,對佛說:『世尊,我由一個法門生起愛樂歡喜,以大悲心勤奮勇猛,生起利益安樂,加護有情。這個法門就是自心明王之王,名為三世最勝。我現在想要宣說這個法門。』佛說:『摩訶薩埵,你現在就說吧。』這時,觀自在菩薩秉承佛的教旨,即說自心真言曰:

The Sutra of the Most Excellent Mind King of the Three Worlds, the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, the Vajra Terror, the Extensive Ritual and Observance

Translated by the Tripitaka Master Amoghavajra of the Da Xingshan Temple, with the title of Duke of Su of the State, granted the Purple Robe, and posthumously named Dajian and given the honorary title of Da Guangzhi, who was the Special Advanced Official of the Third Rank, Acting Minister of the Court of Imperial Sacrifices, and entitled to a fief of three thousand households, under imperial decree.

Chapter 1: Introduction

Thus have I heard. At one time, the Buddha was in the palace of intermingled peaks of treasures on the great Treasure Peak Mountain. There were hundreds of thousands of jeweled canopies and various rows of trees. Delightful fragrant flowers were scattered and adorned the place. The great Arhats (Arahan, enlightened disciples), such as Mahamoggallana (foremost in supernatural powers), Sariputta (foremost in wisdom), Ananda (the Buddha's attendant), and others, one thousand two hundred and fifty in all, surrounded him. Moreover, he was with immeasurable Bodhisattvas (Bodhisattva, beings on the path to enlightenment), headed by Vajrapani Bodhisattva (symbol of power and protection), Manjusri Bodhisattva (symbol of wisdom), Ratnaketu Bodhisattva (whose banner is a jewel), and others. There were also Vaisravana (Guardian of the North), Purnabhadra (a Yaksha general), Pancika (a Yaksha general), Brahma (lord of the Form Realm), Indra (lord of the Trayastrimsa Heaven), Narayana (a major Hindu deity), Nagas (serpentine beings with supernatural powers), Yakshas (a type of demigod), Rakshasas (demons), Pretas (hungry ghosts), Pisacas (flesh-eating demons), Kinnaras (a type of celestial being), Mahoragas (a type of non-human being), and other hundreds of thousands of attendants, dwelling around, respectfully making offerings.

At that time, the Tathagata (another name for the Buddha) was seated on a great lion throne adorned with various jewels, expounding the essential practices of the Bodhisattva path to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva (the Bodhisattva of Compassion) and others.

Then, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva Mahasattva (a great Bodhisattva), the Great Compassionate One, circumambulated the Buddha three times, bared his right shoulder, knelt on his right knee, joined his palms in reverence, and said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, I generate love, joy, and delight from one dharma, and with great compassion, I diligently and bravely generate benefit and happiness, and protect sentient beings. This dharma is the King of Mind Kings, named the Most Excellent of the Three Worlds. Now I wish to expound this dharma.' The Buddha said: 'Mahasattva, you may now speak.' Then, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, receiving the Buddha's command, immediately spoke the mantra of his own mind, saying:

觀自在菩薩才說三世勝等大心真言。三千大千世界六種震動。諸天從空雨微妙華。一切寒水地獄。皆得溫適。乃至阿鼻地獄諸熱地獄皆得清涼。光明照曜上至阿迦尼吒天。在於空中百千音樂不鼓自鳴。天龍藥叉緊那羅等。咸皆讚歎如來及觀自在菩薩。諸魔障者毗那夜迦等戰掉號哭。諸天同音以伽他讚揚曰。

善哉善哉大悲身  善哉利益拔苦者  善哉善哉大薩埵  善哉成就一切義

爾時觀自在菩薩說是明王已。白佛言世尊此心真言。能息諸疾患能成就一切義利。能調伏能增益。能利樂能安住無相三昧。能令行於空義能開伏藏。能除一切蠱毒蜘蛛蛇蝎等毒。令一切有情敬念。能令已死者更生。能護師子虎狼熊羆賊難。能破厭禱咒詛。能成就如意珠賢瓶。雨寶輪劍。神線蓮華鬘。澡罐念珠。能竭大海江河。能成辦天諸飲食。能示現諸天宮殿恣其受用。能震動須彌山王。能招召一切樹木。但心欲作隨意皆成。我往昔寶鬘寶幢彌勒劫中已說之法。及未說者皆能成辦。

成就事品第二

爾時觀自在菩薩。白佛言世尊若有善男子善女人。若持若誦此心真言。雖未加功。於一切怖

成就事品第二

爾時觀自在菩薩,白佛言:『世尊,若有善男子善女人,若持若誦此心真言,雖未加功,於一切怖

The Wheel Mantra says:

Om Apra Spara

When Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva had just spoken the Great Heart Mantra of the Three Worlds' Victory, the three thousand great thousand worlds shook in six ways. The gods rained down subtle flowers from the sky. All the cold water hells became warm and comfortable. Even the Avici Hell and all the hot hells became cool and refreshing. The light shone up to the Akanistha Heaven. In the sky, hundreds of thousands of musical instruments played without being struck. The devas, nagas (dragons), yakshas, kinnaras, and others all praised the Tathagata and Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. The obstructing demons, Vinayakas, and others trembled, wailed, and cried. The devas together praised with a gatha:

Excellent, excellent, body of great compassion! Excellent, one who benefits and removes suffering! Excellent, excellent, great Mahasattva! Excellent, one who accomplishes all meanings!

Then Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, having spoken this Vidya-raja (mantra king), said to the Buddha, 'World Honored One, this Heart Mantra can pacify all diseases, can accomplish all benefits, can subdue, can increase, can bring benefit and joy, can abide in the Samadhi of No-Form. It can cause one to practice the meaning of emptiness, can open hidden treasures, can remove all poisons such as those from poisonous insects, spiders, snakes, and scorpions, can cause all sentient beings to respect and remember one, can cause the dead to be reborn, can protect from the dangers of lions, tigers, wolves, bears, and bandits, can break curses and spells, can accomplish wish-fulfilling jewels and virtuous vases, rain of jewels wheels and swords, divine thread lotus garlands, bathing vessels and rosaries, can dry up the great ocean and rivers, can accomplish heavenly foods and drinks, can manifest heavenly palaces for one to enjoy at will, can shake Mount Sumeru, can summon all trees. Whatever one desires to do, it will be accomplished at will. The Dharma that I have spoken in the past, in the Treasure Garland, Treasure Banner, Maitreya Kalpa, and that which I have not yet spoken, can all be accomplished.'

Chapter Two on Accomplishment of Activities

Then Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva said to the Buddha, 'World Honored One, if there are good men and good women who hold or recite this Heart Mantra, even without special effort, from all fears


畏之中即能衛護。一切疾病皆不著身。所出言訶令人信受。令一切眾生皆生敬念。一切天及鬼神藥叉羅剎必里多毗舍遮乾闥婆摩呼啰伽等不敢侵犯。終無非命夭壽等事。不墮諸惡道中。一切時倉庫盈溢。得大總持能除一切疾病。命終之後。當生有佛國土成就色相。我先所說馬頭觀自在法門。皆以此真言成就。世尊修行者欲得悉地。先以五凈凈其身蘊。及塗飾處所。從師口授真言法則。且對佛像唯食于乳。以香花燈鬘飲食供養。乃至七日無限唸誦。從此之後當畫本尊。方圓一肘離諸毛髮。畫人應受八戒。新器調色勿用皮膠。中畫阿彌陀如來。坐白蓮華。右手住于施愿。右畫觀自在菩薩。身相白色虎皮為裙。白玻璃寶以為腰絳以黑鹿皮角絡而披。住白蓮花。左手持白蓮華右手施愿。無瓔珞臂釧。左畫金剛手菩薩。身赤白色著種種寶瓔珞。手持白拂作拂如來勢。佛菩薩等皆顧視行人。行人于佛下畫。右膝著地手執香爐。瞻仰聖者。像成已。若是在家行人具持八戒。三時澡浴三時換衣。應著清凈白衣。從月一日起首。以白花供養佛像。于像前以香泥作一千窣堵波。於此窣堵波前作先行成就法。

若誦一洛叉。一切天梵王摩醯首羅那羅延俱摩羅七母天及迦樓羅等皆大踴躍。則當入一切曼荼羅三昧耶。一切真言皆得成就。誦

【English Translation】 English version: Within fear, one can find protection. All diseases will not adhere to the body. The words spoken will be believed and accepted, causing all sentient beings to generate respect and reverence. All Devas, ghosts, Yakshas (a type of demigod), Rakshasas (demons), Pretas (hungry ghosts), Pisachas (flesh-eating demons), Gandharvas (celestial musicians), Mahoragas (great serpent deities), etc., will not dare to invade. Ultimately, there will be no unnatural deaths or premature ends, and one will not fall into the various evil realms. At all times, the storehouses will be full and overflowing, and one will attain the Great Dharani (the wisdom of comprehensively remembering and retaining all Dharmas without forgetting), capable of eliminating all diseases. After the end of life, one will be reborn in a Buddha-land, accomplishing beautiful forms. The Hayagriva Avalokiteshvara Dharma (馬頭觀自在法門) I previously spoke of is all accomplished through this mantra. World Honored One, if a practitioner wishes to attain Siddhi (成就), they must first purify their body with the five pure substances (cow urine, cow dung, cow milk, curd, ghee) and adorn the place. Receive the oral transmission of the mantra's rules from a teacher. Face the Buddha image and consume only dairy products, making offerings of incense, flowers, lamps, garlands, and food, even to the point of reciting limitlessly for seven days. After this, one should draw the Ishta-deva (本尊). The painting should be one cubit in diameter, removing any hairs. The painter should observe the eight precepts. Use new vessels to mix the colors, and do not use hide glue. In the center, draw Amitabha Tathagata (阿彌陀如來), seated on a white lotus flower, with his right hand in the Varada Mudra (施愿印). On the right, draw Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva (觀自在菩薩), with a white complexion, wearing a tiger skin as a skirt, using white crystal jewels as a waistband, and draping a black deer skin shawl over the shoulders, standing on a white lotus flower, holding a white lotus flower in the left hand, and the right hand in the Varada Mudra, without necklaces or armlets. On the left, draw Vajrapani Bodhisattva (金剛手菩薩), with a reddish-white complexion, wearing various jeweled necklaces, holding a white whisk, making the gesture of whisking the Tathagata. The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas should all be looking at the practitioner. The practitioner should be drawn below the Buddha image, kneeling on the right knee, holding an incense burner in hand, and gazing up at the holy ones. After the image is completed, if the practitioner is a layperson, they must fully observe the eight precepts, bathe three times a day, change clothes three times a day, and should wear clean white clothes. Starting from the first day of the month, offer white flowers to the Buddha image, and make one thousand Stupas (窣堵波) out of fragrant mud in front of the Buddha image. Perform the preliminary accomplishment practice in front of these Stupas. If one recites one hundred thousand times, all the Devas, Brahma (梵王), Maheśvara (摩醯首羅), Nārāyaṇa (那羅延), Kumāra (俱摩羅), the Seven Mothers (七母天), and Garuda (迦樓羅), etc., will greatly rejoice and leap for joy. 成就如意寶品第三

又蓮花揾三甜。護十夜雨金。

又欲成就賢瓶。如前法成之。

又法欲得藥叉敬服。蘇末那花揾三甜。護十萬即現其身(是悉底理也)。

又法一切病者。若見若觸此行人。皆得除愈。

又欲除頭痛。想己身為我。以手摩彼頭。自患自摩。乃至眼耳心脅等痛法亦如是。

又有患。服藥加持七遍服之即愈。

Furthermore, dipping a lotus flower in the three sweets (three sweets: honey, brown sugar, ghee) can protect against rain for ten nights.

Also, if one wishes to accomplish the bhadrakumbha (bhadrakumbha, auspicious vase), accomplish it according to the previous method.

Moreover, there is a method to gain the respect and service of a yaksha (yaksa, a type of deity): dip sumanā flowers (sumanā, a type of flower) in the three sweets and recite one hundred thousand times; the yaksha will then appear (this is siddhi).

凡是想要的東西,就加持那類東西。求男女,用油麻加持;求大聰明,用菖蒲加持;用松木加持,可以獲得一百叵攞(Pala)黃金。以上三種都加持十萬遍。千手千眼觀世音菩薩中有這些方法,都可以用。

【English Translation】 English version Area. Anoint Sumanā flower (Sumanā flower) with three sweets (three sweets) and bless it ten thousand times to attain Siddhi (accomplishment). Reciting it at any time thereafter will bring abundance.

Also, if you want the king (Rāja) to love and respect you, anoint frankincense with three sweets and bless it ten thousand times. This will cause everyone, including your family members, to respectfully serve you like servants.

If you want the same for government officials, anoint fennel seeds with three sweets and bless it ten thousand times.

If you want all sentient beings in a settlement to be like this, mix frankincense and fennel seeds and bless it one hundred thousand times to achieve it at will.

Anoint a blue lotus flower with three sweets and bless it one hundred thousand times to be loved and respected by the people of a city.

Bless a blue lotus flower ten thousand times, and all cities will rejoice.

Because of applying the eye medicine, everything seen is pleasing. Bless Anjana (Anjana) one hundred and eight times.

Bless cow gallstone one hundred and eight times, then apply it to the forehead. Wherever you go, you will be loved and respected.

Recite the mantra twenty-one times, blessing sweet flag and Aquilaria agallocha. You will win in debates and disputes, and people will believe and accept your words.

Bless clothes, garlands, food, fruits, etc., and whoever you give them to will be delighted.

Bless Anjana one hundred thousand times to find all hidden treasures. After applying the eye medicine, if you see monkeys, lions, tigers, wolves, bears, weasels, wild cats, snakes, rats, etc., tie seven knots and bless them. In this way, all fear will be dispelled.

Chapter Six: Accomplishment of Meaning and Benefit

Recite it four hundred thousand times to achieve preliminary accomplishment. Then, use white fragrant flowers, anointing them with three sweets and blessing them one hundred thousand times to attain Siddhi (accomplishment).

Bless aloeswood or borneol camphor one hundred thousand times to earn a thousand gold coins daily.

Bless turmeric, and practitioners will obtain endless clothing.

Mix barley, sesame, green beans, and rice, and bless it ten thousand times to obtain endless food.

Bless Aśvarūpa (Aśvarūpa) one hundred thousand times to obtain a herd of horses.

Bless cow's milk one hundred thousand times to obtain a herd of cows.

For anything you desire, bless that type of thing. To seek men and women, bless sesame seeds. To seek great wisdom, bless sweet flag. Bless pine wood to obtain one hundred Pala (Pala) of gold. Bless all three of the above one hundred thousand times. These methods are found in the Thousand-Handed, Thousand-Eyed Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, and all can be used.

成就軌儀品第七

像前誦。五洛叉即成先行。

沉香然火白蓮護。洛叉多聞天王現。眷屬同至行人前。至於財寶皆豐足。

蓮子揾三甜護三洛叉。吉祥天現為作豐饒吉祥事。杉木三甜護三洛叉。一切藥叉現白言。今欲我何所。隨行人求無不得。

龍花蕊揾三甜護。三洛叉龍來伏從。青蓮花揾三甜護。三洛叉現金剛藏。明仙無相與輪惹。此三及余求皆得。蓮花揾彼三甜護。梵天像前三洛叉。梵王現與上三愿。

摩訶迦羅天像前。蘇末那揾三甜護三洛叉已。現為使方為成辦於一切(大黑天也披象皮橫把一槍一頭穿人頭一頭穿羊)但於一切天像前。以彼所敬愛之花。護洛叉。皆來為使者。

普通成就品第八

爾時觀自在菩薩。白佛言世尊我今說此明王諸族甚深微細軌儀法則。行人應先於一切有情起大悲心。孝順父母尊長。愍念苦趣眾生。凈信於三寶。樂供養諸佛。遠離飲酒放逸淫慾殺生妄語等事。成此真言。應當如是。先於白月五日加持五凈百八遍。飲之。每一飲得半月清凈(五凈牛糞及尿各少分和酥乳酪銀銅器隨取一盛之加持白月五日者月生五日也)。

Chapter 7: The Ritual for Accomplishment

Recite before the image. Five hundred thousand recitations (five Lakṣas) will accomplish the preliminary practice.

Burn incense of Agarwood, offer white lotuses, and recite one million times (Lakṣa), then Vaiśravaṇa (Vaiśravaṇa) will appear. His retinue will also come before the practitioner, bestowing abundant wealth and treasures.

Dip lotus seeds in the three sweets (three sweets: ghee, honey, and sugar), and recite three hundred thousand times (three Lakṣas), then Śrīmahādevī (Śrīmahādevī) will appear, bringing abundance and auspiciousness. Dip cedar wood in the three sweets, and recite three hundred thousand times, then all the Yakṣas (Yakṣa) will appear and say: 'What do you want us to do now?' There is nothing the practitioner asks for that cannot be obtained.

Dip the stamen of the dragon flower in the three sweets, and recite three hundred thousand times, then the Nāgas (Nāga) will come and submit. Dip blue lotuses in the three sweets, and recite three hundred thousand times, then Vajragarbha (Vajragarbha) will appear. Vidyādhara, Nirākāra, and Cakra, these three, and whatever else is sought, can be obtained. Dip lotuses in the three sweets, and recite three hundred thousand times before the image of Brahmā (Brahmā), then Brahmā will appear and grant the practitioner three wishes.

Before the image of Mahākāla (Mahākāla), dip Sumanā (Sumanā) in the three sweets, and after reciting three hundred thousand times, Mahākāla will appear as a messenger, accomplishing everything for the practitioner (Mahākāla also wears an elephant skin, horizontally holding a spear, with one end piercing a human head and the other piercing a goat). As long as one offers the flowers that the deities love before all the images of the deities, and recites one hundred thousand times (Lakṣa), they will all come as messengers.

Chapter 8: General Accomplishment

At that time, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva (Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva) said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, I will now speak of the profound and subtle ritual rules of the various families of this Vidyārāja (Vidyārāja). The practitioner should first generate great compassion towards all sentient beings, be filial to parents and elders, have compassion for beings in suffering, have pure faith in the Three Jewels (Triratna), be happy to make offerings to all Buddhas, and stay away from things like drinking alcohol, indulgence, lust, killing, and lying. Only then can this mantra be accomplished. It should be done like this: first, on the fifth day of the white moon (after the new moon), bless the five pure substances (Pañca-gavya) one hundred and eight times, and then drink it. Each time you drink it, you will obtain half a month of purity (the five pure substances refer to taking a small amount of cow dung and cow urine, mixing them with ghee, milk, and cheese, placing them in a silver or copper vessel, and blessing them on the fifth day of the white moon).'

After consecrating, each time you recite, always hold the rosary with both hands and consecrate it seven times first. The mantra is:

【English Translation】 English version: (The master speaks thus to instruct the sage):

Om (seed syllable) (1), Shangkaluosamaye (2), Saomingye (2 combined), Sarvasamayanubala (2 combined) Weishizhi (2 combined), Suowa (2 combined, elongated) Ha.

After finishing the recitation, then freely recite the heart mantra. Then go to the pure chamber. On the way, one should not be angry, but single-mindedly recite the Buddha's name and visualize the principal deity. Bathe three times a day, and it should always be done in this way. Change clothes separately, and do not argue. Upon arriving at the gate of the pure chamber, wash the feet again, and recite the mantra of the Goddess of Eloquence to bless the water. Rinse the mouth and sprinkle the water, then enter the chamber.

Then form the Amrita Kundali Mudra (hand gesture), while reciting the mantra. Then scoop up water with both hands, and recite the mantra to ward off Vinayaka (the elephant-headed god). Sprinkle the water in the ten directions. The mantra is:

For the homa, the mantra for inviting the Fire God is: Ehiye Himahabhuta-niva-rishi Nivi Jatasmat-gri hi Tva hutima haramasmin Sthitobhava-Agne ye Svaha. After Agni (Agni) enters the Kunda (Kunda), offer three full ladles of ghee. Then the power of the fire will flourish. Offer the mantra: Om Agne Havya Kavya vahana ya ni piya pasvaha. 成就心真言品第九

【English Translation】 English version: Realgar and so on. If one sees auspicious dreams mentioned by me in other scriptures, know that this sign indicates the nearness of accomplishment. One should then practice even more diligently and redouble one's efforts. If one loses accomplishment and dreams of terrifying images of Chandalas (outcasts), Pisachas (flesh-eating demons), or other evil spirits, or sees someone wearing dirty and tattered clothes, or sees incomplete or missing words in mantras, or sees people with incomplete bodies, if such dreams occur, one should recite the mantra of the respective section one hundred and eight times. All inauspicious events will be eliminated, and one will soon attain Siddhi (accomplishment). As the methods of accomplishment described in this scripture, except for those who engage in sexual misconduct and harm sentient beings, all others will definitely attain Siddhi. According to this ritual and its rules, even those who have committed the five heinous offenses can still attain accomplishment, let alone practitioners who are cultivating the Bodhisattva path.

Chapter Nine: The Mantra for Accomplishing the Mind

I will now explain the preliminary methods of accomplishment in the ritual. After reciting this mantra, each syllable completed one hundred Lakṣas (the master says 3.5 million) times, then begin the painting. A virgin should weave wool or silk in a clean place. She should cover her mouth with cloth, bathe three times a day, and wear white clothes. The person providing food and other necessities to the weaver must also be pure. White thread should be used for weaving, and the loom should be new. Those who are difficult to subdue, lack faith, and are of evil character should not be allowed to see the weaving. Scatter seasonal flowers in the weaving area and recite the Mahasamghata Sutra. The painter should observe the eight precepts. Purchase the materials needed for the image according to what is requested, and do not argue with the painter. Soak the silk or wool in fragrant water. Blue, green, realgar, and purple minerals should not be used. White color can be made from white sandalwood, Ushira (a fragrant root), borneol, etc. Yellow color can be made from alfalfa fragrance, Sakeriniya (lily substitute), borneol, etc. Red color can be made from turmeric, red sandalwood, etc. Black color can be made from Tagara flower, blue lotus, ghee mixed with fragrance, etc. The private parts and breasts should not be painted. The painter should uphold the precepts and constantly contemplate the six recollections (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, precepts, generosity, and devas). Brahmā should be drawn holding a Mandala flower. After drawing, place it in a clean room and make offerings according to the Dharma. Form the fundamental mudra and recite the heart mantra. When entering cities and villages, all who see you will deeply respect you. If you wish to dig up treasures, form the fundamental mudra of White-Robed Avalokiteśvara and recite the heart mantra. All hidden treasures will naturally emit light, and you can freely enjoy them.

Furthermore, when collecting longevity herbs in the mountains, form the mudra against all frights and fears from ghosts and spirits. This will block all medicinal essences. Recite the heart mantra, and you will surely attain the accomplishment of the longevity medicine method.

By the Hayagriva mudra, the mountain will instantly be in the sky.

By the Candra-sarira mudra, the river will be half-flowing.

By the Kashaya mudra, the river water will dry up.

By the Six-Armed Avalokiteśvara mudra, the Asura gate will open.

By the Twelve-Armed mudra, subdue the 舍[口見]嚕.

By the Thousand-Armed mudra, subdue that Raja (king).

By the Four-Faced Avalokiteśvara mudra, you will be in accordance with the officials.

By the White-Robed Mother mudra, hook and summon Siddhi.

By the Homa salt, the Nagas will all respectfully submit. All ghostly illnesses, upon seeing or touching, will be self-removed (all the above require reciting the heart mantra). World Honored One, this heart mantra is like a wish-fulfilling jewel. It is the most honored among all mantra-vidyarajas (wisdom kings). Whatever you think of, you will attain.

At that time, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva again said to the Buddha: World Honored One, I will now speak of the appearance of the supreme vidyaraja mudra.

世尊如上等印三世勝明王之王。自支分生。兼真言加持已支分。即行人與我無異(師云如心即安心上余例可知)世尊行人每日三時。為除眾罪故。結十波羅蜜契。結是等契。各誦本心真言一遍。則百千生所有諸罪悉滅。況現生罪而不滅耶。

次即說十波羅蜜印相。

智掌仰申垂。空捻水度甲。是檀波羅蜜印真言曰。

唵波誐嚩底難(上引)曩(引)地跛帝吽尾徙𠴊惹布啰也么(引)南娑嚩(二合)訶

由此印故。一切怖畏之中皆得加護。檀波羅蜜圓滿。

內縛空如針。是戒波羅蜜印真言曰。

唵施羅馱(引)啰抳婆誐嚩底吽臛

由此印設令破戒者。即成具戒清凈之人。

如戒風申合。風空相去離。是羼提波羅蜜印真言曰。

唵婆誐嚩底迦乞羼(二合引)底哩吽發

由此印故。一切怖畏之中無有能損害。即得忍辱波羅蜜圓滿。

如忍風開直。是精進波羅蜜印真言曰。

【English Translation】 English version The ten degrees are externally interlocked. The wheel shape is spread open with the palms. This is the mantra of the wheel mudra: Om a-va-ra-sa-pu-ra (two combined) World Honored One, the above mudras are the king of the all-victorious Vidyarajas (wisdom kings) of the three times. Born from one's own limbs. Simultaneously, the limbs are blessed with mantras. Thus, the practitioner is no different from me (the teacher says, 'As the mind is, so is peace of mind; other examples can be inferred'). World Honored One, the practitioner performs these three times daily. In order to eliminate all sins, one forms the ten Paramita (perfections) mudras. By forming these mudras, and reciting each fundamental mantra once, all sins accumulated over hundreds of thousands of lifetimes will be extinguished. How much more so will the sins of this present life not be extinguished? Next, the forms of the ten Paramita mudras are described. The wisdom palm is extended upwards and drooping. The space finger twists the nail of the water finger. This is the mudra and mantra of Dana Paramita (perfection of generosity): Om bhagavati nanda nadhipati hum visphota jaya mana svaha (two combined) Because of this mudra, one will receive protection in all fears. Dana Paramita is perfected. Internal binding, the space finger like a needle. This is the mudra and mantra of Sila Paramita (perfection of morality): Om shila dharani bhagavati hum hoh By this mudra, even if one has broken precepts, one will become a person of pure morality. Like the morality mudra, the wind fingers extend and join. The wind and space fingers are separated. This is the mudra and mantra of Ksanti Paramita (perfection of patience): Om bhagavati kakshanti ri hum phat Because of this mudra, nothing can harm one in all fears. One will attain the perfection of patience. Like the patience mudra, the wind fingers open and straighten. 【English Translation】 English version The Dhyana Paramita (Meditation Perfection) Mudra Mantra, called Jia Chan, says: Om bhagavate sarva papa hari maha naiteye hum hum hè phaṭ By virtue of this mudra, one can eliminate all sins and attain the perfection of Dhyana Paramita. With the backs of both hands touching each other, the two fire fingers hooked in opposite directions, and the two wind fingers extended like needles, this is the Maitri (Loving-kindness) Immeasurable Mind Mudra Mantra, which says: Om maitri maitraya chitte svaha By virtue of this mudra, the immeasurable mind of loving-kindness is perfected. Wisdom abides, bestowing fearlessness. This is the Karuna (Compassion) Immeasurable Mind Mudra Mantra, which says: Om karuniye karuniye om hè hè sam By virtue of this mudra, the immeasurable mind of compassion is perfected. The earth and water fingers are bound inward, and the remaining six fingers are extended and joined together. This is the Mudita (Joy) Immeasurable Mind Mudra Mantra, which says: Om muni muni te hum hè hè hum ruo By virtue of this mudra, the immeasurable mind of joy is perfected. The person drawing should observe the eight precepts, and mix the various colors without using hide glue. Within the mandala, draw a hundred-petaled blooming lotus flower, complete with the womb and stamen. In the center of the womb, write this mantra. The mantra is: Om padmo-dbhavāya svāhā. 。無量劫亦不可盡。是法往昔金剛藏菩薩已曾宣說。我部族真言金剛部族真言。皆依此法而得悉地。所有世天梵王那羅延大自在俱摩羅天母眾天金翅鳥諸鬼神等真言。亦依此法而得悉地。由對此才誦。則成入一切曼荼羅。一切眾生皆當敬念。一切五無間罪皆得消滅。臨命終時。觀自在菩薩即當現身前而為說法。命終之後生兜率天宮。不墮於三惡道。或有眾生不信三寶。多諸慳吝。暫聞此經乃至讀誦。彼等不久亦當成就。況於三寶凈信之人。爾時如來贊觀自在菩薩言。

善哉善哉大薩埵  大悲住大薩埵位  汝今說大真言王  利樂凈信眾生故

觀自在菩薩說此經已。諸大菩薩及阿羅漢。諸天龍藥叉緊那羅摩呼啰伽等。皆大歡喜信受奉行。

【English Translation】 English version: Countless kalpas also cannot exhaust it. This Dharma was already proclaimed in the past by Vajragarbha Bodhisattva (Vajragarbha Bodhisattva). The mantras of my clan, the Vajra clan mantras, all rely on this Dharma to attain Siddhi (Siddhi, accomplishment). All the mantras of the worldly devas, Brahma (Brahma), Narayana (Narayana), Maheshvara (Maheshvara), Kumara (Kumara), the assembly of heavenly mothers, the devas, Garuda (Garuda), and all the ghosts and spirits, also rely on this Dharma to attain Siddhi. Because of reciting this, one can enter all Mandalas (Mandala, sacred space). All sentient beings should respectfully remember it. All five heinous offenses will be extinguished. At the time of death, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva (Avalokiteśvara) will appear before them and expound the Dharma. After death, they will be reborn in the Tushita Heaven (Tushita Heaven), and will not fall into the three evil realms. Or if there are sentient beings who do not believe in the Three Jewels and are very stingy, even if they temporarily hear this sutra or even recite it, they will soon achieve accomplishment. How much more so for those who have pure faith in the Three Jewels?
