千轉印與觀世音心印相同(只是手足不同):頭指開始的四指反向交叉,向內互相按捺。左手大拇指彎曲放入頭指中,右手大拇指伸直,向內不要彎曲。兩手手腕相合,兩腳呈丁字形。然後右腳直立,左膝彎曲向外,身體像弩一樣彎向左邊。用心印放在右乳前,不要碰到乳房。面部帶著笑容,頭向右邊(手印與觀世音心印相同,只是身腳的姿勢用法不同)。每月十五日洗浴后在乾淨的房間里,手作心印誦咒,可以消滅四重罪和五逆罪(這個手印是阿地多崛多(Adikuta)(譯者名)法師翻譯出來的)。
千轉經中說:誦此咒后惡業消滅,誦到七遍五逆罪也能消滅。如果誦滿十遍,一切罪業沒有不消滅的。誦十萬遍就能面見觀世音菩薩種種莊嚴的形象。七天之內,開始做法的時候,只能吃乳糜、酥酪、白餅、粳米飯,不能吃鹽、醬、菜。最後一天不要吃東西。十五日晚上空腹,在佛前反覆誦咒,沒有固定的次數。如果見到佛像動搖,就出聲唱言『善哉』。如果佛像放出光明,再用真珠寶物安放在咒師的頭頂上,就知道已經成功應驗了。面見觀世音菩薩后,就能滿足一切善愿。又如果在睡眠中夢見觀世音菩薩種種莊嚴的形象,一切善事都能成就,一切惡業都能消滅。直接讀誦此咒也能滅罪。想要去東西方向的時候,先咒手七遍,用手摩擦面部,所到的地方就沒有各種災禍橫生。如果能夠清凈如法地經常誦持而不間斷,就能得到第一地(菩薩的階位)。如果有女人能夠誦持此咒,以後就能轉產生男子,不再重複承受這樣的女身。先設定壇場,安置供養,準備完畢,然後開始。

The Thousand Revolutions Mudra is the same as the Avalokiteśvara Heart Mudra (only the hand and foot positions are different): The four fingers starting from the index finger are crossed in reverse, pressing against each other inwards. The left thumb is bent and placed inside the index finger, the right thumb is extended straight, pointing inwards without bending. The two wrists are joined together, and the two feet form a T-shape. Then, the right foot stands straight, the left knee is bent outwards, and the body bends to the left like a crossbow. Place the Heart Mudra in front of the right breast, without touching the breast. The face should have a smiling expression, and the head should be turned to the right (the hand mudra is the same as the Avalokiteśvara Heart Mudra, only the body and foot postures are different). On the fifteenth day of each month, after bathing in a clean room, perform the Heart Mudra and recite the mantra, which can eliminate the four grave offenses and the five rebellious acts (this mudra was translated by the Dharma Master Adikuta (translator's name)).
The Thousand Revolutions Sutra says: After reciting this mantra, evil karma will be eliminated, and even the five rebellious acts can be eliminated after reciting it seven times. If you recite it ten times, there is no sin that will not be eliminated. Reciting it 100,000 times will allow you to see the various majestic forms of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva. Within seven days, when starting the practice, you can only eat milk porridge, ghee, white cakes, and japonica rice, and you cannot eat salt, soy sauce, or vegetables. Do not eat anything on the last day. On the night of the fifteenth, on an empty stomach, repeatedly recite the mantra in front of the Buddha, without a fixed number of times. If you see the Buddha image shaking, then say aloud 'Excellent!' If the Buddha image emits light, then place genuine jewels on top of the mantra master's head, and you will know that it has been successfully verified. After seeing Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, all good wishes will be fulfilled. Also, if you dream of the various majestic forms of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva in your sleep, all good deeds will be accomplished, and all evil karma will be eliminated. Directly reading this mantra can also eliminate sins. When you want to go east or west, first chant on your hand seven times, and rub your face with your hand, and there will be no disasters or misfortunes in the places you go. If you can purify yourself and regularly recite it without interruption, you will attain the first Bhumi (stage of a Bodhisattva). If a woman can recite and uphold this mantra, she will be reborn as a man in the future and will not have to endure such a female form again. First set up an altar, arrange offerings, prepare everything, and then begin.
始誦咒其壇四面各長十六肘。四重作規。院相皆外白色內四色。各一重如似壁勢。即是八重也。合五方色四面開門。東西南北相當。正中一重不須開門。大瓦罐八枚甕子四枚。滿盛水插柏及樹枝。安水罐甕中。作白餅粳米飯乳酪蘇蜜香果子等供養。然十六枝燈。四門外各插十六隻未經用箭。掛五彩線于箭上。取佉陀羅木(紫檀木是)四枝。二長五指二長六指。釘壇四角。散種種時非時花于壇上。又取頗伽木(拘無子少者是)一千八百枚。各長一尺。若一瓦缽若銅缽。和蘇乳涂此木枝。咒一枝一遍即擲火中。無佉陀羅木時(赤棗木代亦得)須畫一白色觀音聖者像。隨力大小作。又先翻法雲。千劫聚集業障。一時誦唸悉皆滅盡。得千佛聚集善根。得背千劫流轉生老病死邊際。舍此身已即見千轉輪聖王。恒持十善。若欲生諸佛凈土者。晝夜各三時誦二十一遍。滿三七日如其所欲。即于夢中或見佛金色形像及菩薩形像(此是先相即知當生凈土)。

別譯本說,受持法:取五斤突婆香(並帶苗),一千個長一尺的楮木,一起誦咒一千遍。臨近焚燒時,用酥油塗抹木莖和香上,各誦咒一遍后焚燒。預先在五月或六月取牛糞陰乾,用突婆香水和成泥,做成兩肘長的圓形場地。在場地上安放種種供品。
【English Translation】 English version When beginning to recite the mantra, each side of the altar should be sixteen cubits long. Make fourfold enclosures, with the appearance of the courtyards being white on the outside and four different colors on the inside, each layer resembling a wall. This makes eight layers in total. Combine the colors of the five directions, with doors opening on all four sides, corresponding to the east, west, south, and north. The central layer does not need a door. Prepare eight large earthenware jars and four urns, filled with water, and insert cypress and tree branches into them, placing them in the water jars and urns. Prepare white cakes, glutinous rice, yogurt, ghee, honey, fragrant fruits, and other offerings. Light sixteen lamps. Outside each of the four doors, insert sixteen unused arrows, with five-colored threads hanging from the arrows. Take four branches of Khadira wood (purple sandalwood), two branches five fingers long and two branches six fingers long, and nail them to the four corners of the altar. Scatter various seasonal and non-seasonal flowers on the altar. Also, take one thousand eight hundred branches of Phoga wood (small seeds of the Coa tree), each one foot long. Use an earthenware or copper bowl, and smear ghee and milk on these wooden branches. Recite the mantra once for each branch and then throw it into the fire. If there is no Khadira wood (red jujube wood can also be used as a substitute), you must paint a white image of the Holy Avalokiteśvara, making it as large or small as your ability allows. Also, first recite the Dharma Cloud, the karmic obstacles accumulated over thousands of kalpas, all will be extinguished at once through recitation. You will obtain the roots of goodness accumulated by a thousand Buddhas, and escape the cycle of birth, old age, sickness, and death that has flowed for thousands of kalpas. After abandoning this body, you will immediately see the Holy King who turns the wheel a thousand times, and constantly uphold the ten virtues. If you wish to be reborn in the pure lands of the Buddhas, recite twenty-one times each, three times during the day and three times at night, for three weeks (twenty-one days), and your wish will be fulfilled. You will see the golden image of the Buddha and the images of Bodhisattvas in your dreams (this is a sign that you will be reborn in the pure land).
The above mantra and its functions were obtained by the Master Tong from the Sanskrit version translated at the Zongchi Temple. The method of sealing was translated by the Master Juta.
The separate translation says: Method of receiving and upholding: Take five catties of Durva grass (including the seedlings), one thousand pieces of paper mulberry wood, each one foot long, and recite the mantra a thousand times in total. When about to burn them, smear ghee on the stems of the wood and on the incense, reciting the mantra once for each item before burning. In advance, in the fifth or sixth month, take cow dung and dry it in the shade, mix it with Durva grass water to make mud, and create a circular field two cubits long. Place various offerings on the field.
花香。冬月無花刻花安之。然薰陸香。咒師面向東。坐誦滿一千遍法成。未咒之時用此咒水二十一遍。或七遍服之。咒水解污凈室道場佛堂洗身咒柳枝打病咒水治病並得。各二十一遍。若能一生日別三時時別誦二十一遍。滅罪不可思議通一切用。

【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本: 花香。即使在寒冷的冬月沒有鮮花,也可以雕刻花朵來代替。然後焚燒薰陸香(一種香料)。咒師面向東方,坐著誦讀咒語滿一千遍,此法便成。在未誦咒之前,用此咒水誦唸二十一遍,或七遍后服用。此咒水可以用來解除污穢,凈化房間、道場、佛堂,洗身,用咒過的柳枝抽打病人,以及治療疾病,以上每種用途各誦唸二十一遍。如果能夠一生每日分早中晚三次,每次誦唸二十一遍,那麼消除罪業的功德不可思議,並且可以通用於一切用途。
千轉陀羅尼觀世音菩薩咒(Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva mantra of a thousand rotations)
【English Translation】 English version: Floral incense. Even in the cold winter months when there are no flowers, one can carve flowers as a substitute. Then, burn frankincense (薰陸香). The mantra master faces east, sits, and recites the mantra a full one thousand times for the method to be accomplished. Before chanting the mantra, use this mantra water, reciting it twenty-one times, or seven times, and then drink it. This mantra water can be used to dispel defilement, purify rooms, Daos, Buddha halls, cleanse the body, strike the sick with mantra-infused willow branches, and treat illnesses. For each of these uses, recite it twenty-one times. If one can, throughout their life, recite it three times a day, each time reciting it twenty-one times, the merit of eliminating sins will be inconceivable, and it can be universally applied to all purposes.
