如是我聞。一時婆伽梵在悉羅跋城給孤獨園。與無量菩薩眾俱。爾時觀自在菩薩。于大眾中從座而起。正衣服已偏袒右肩。右膝著地合掌恭敬。頂禮佛足而白佛言。世尊我今欲說能成一切三世勝法。唯愿世尊慈悲聽許。爾時世尊贊言善哉善哉摩訶薩埵。為大利益一切有情故。欲說如是秘密法藏。我今聽許任為廣說。

爾時觀自在菩薩即說真言曰。

唵阿嚕力迦(半音呼之)娑嚩(二合引)訶(引)

爾時觀自在菩薩說此真言已。而白佛言世尊此真言是一切蓮花部心。我今說是悉地法則。若每日晨朝於我像前。作曼荼羅散種種花。誦八千遍。復不與人語更誦多少。漸為強記。若依此法能滿六月。即大聰明。凡所聞言皆領不忘。若清凈洗浴。而於佛前造三圓壇。一佛二法第三為僧。各作如法供養花香。若手執香爐燒香獻已。誦滿八千遍。應墮地獄四重五逆一切重罪無不消滅。必不疑也。若滿六月每誦一千五百遍。所求悉地皆得成就。

如是我聞。一時,婆伽梵(Bhagavan,世尊)在悉羅跋城(Śrāvastī)給孤獨園(Jetavana)。與無量菩薩眾在一起。當時,觀自在菩薩(Avalokiteśvara),在大眾中從座位上站起,整理好衣服后,袒露右肩,右膝著地,合掌恭敬,頂禮佛足,對佛說:『世尊,我現在想說能夠成就一切三世殊勝之法的法門,希望世尊慈悲允許。』當時,世尊讚歎說:『很好,很好,摩訶薩埵(Mahāsattva,大菩薩)。爲了大利益一切有情眾生,想要宣說如此秘密的法藏。我現在允許你,盡情宣說吧。』

當時,觀自在菩薩就說了真言,如下:

The Āryāvalokiteśvara-dhāraṇī-ālokā Sūtra

Translated by the Tripiṭaka Śramaṇa Amoghavajra of the Da Guangzhi Daxingshan Temple, with the imperial decree.

Thus have I heard. At one time, the Bhagavan (Bhagavan, World-Honored One) was in the Jetavana (Jetavana) of Śrāvastī (Śrāvastī). He was with immeasurable Bodhisattvas. At that time, Avalokiteśvara (Avalokiteśvara) Bodhisattva, arose from his seat in the assembly, adjusted his robes, bared his right shoulder, knelt on his right knee, joined his palms respectfully, prostrated at the Buddha's feet, and said to the Buddha: 'World-Honored One, I now wish to speak of the Dharma that can accomplish all the supreme Dharmas of the three times. May the World-Honored One compassionately grant permission.' At that time, the World-Honored One praised and said: 'Excellent, excellent, Mahāsattva (Mahāsattva, Great Bodhisattva). For the great benefit of all sentient beings, you wish to speak of such a secret Dharma treasury. I now permit you to speak extensively.'

At that time, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva then spoke the mantra, saying:

Oṃ A-ru-li-ka (pronounced in a half-tone) Svāhā (Svāhā) (elongated) Hā (Hā) (elongated)

At that time, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, after speaking this mantra, said to the Buddha: 'World-Honored One, this mantra is the heart essence of all the Lotus Family. I now speak of the Siddhi (Siddhi, accomplishment) principles of this mantra. If every morning, in front of my image, one sets up a Maṇḍala (Maṇḍala, sacred circle), scatters various flowers, and recites it eight thousand times, and refrains from speaking to others, continuing to recite it, gradually, one's memory will be strengthened. If one can adhere to this method for six months, one will become very intelligent. Whatever words one hears, one will understand and not forget. If one bathes purely and creates three circular altars before the Buddha, the first being the Buddha altar, the second the Dharma altar, and the third the Sangha altar, each making offerings of flowers and incense according to the Dharma. If one holds an incense burner, burns incense, and offers it, reciting it fully eight thousand times, then even the four grave offenses that lead to hell, the five rebellious acts, and all heavy sins will be eliminated without exception. There is no doubt about it. If one persists for six months, reciting it one thousand five hundred times each day, then all the Siddhis one seeks will be accomplished.'

洗浴已。坐三棱草座。誦三十五萬遍。一切悉地無有不獲。仍離自身一切病必無橫疾。若於觀自在菩薩前連誦一萬。所求善愿皆得成就。

又法白月八日或十五日。清凈洗浴誦八千遍。能離一切世界橫難。及諸魔障皆悉消滅。

又從白月一日至十五日受八戒。日誦一萬遍能離一切毗那野迦所障礙難。

又正月一日起首至十五日。于佛前凈治曼荼羅。以香花供養。誦滿三萬五千遍。能得悉地一切所求。

又于晨朝香湯洗浴。誦三千五百遍。能令一切人所敬愛。凡所求事皆得隨意。

又先於佛前誦一萬遍。然從一日起首乃至十四日誦十萬遍。遠離一切惡障難事。

又若有善男女等。于佛前及觀自在等諸菩薩前。作曼荼羅。以涂香燒香花燈供養。誦三千五百遍。捨身必生觀自在菩薩足下。

又先造十萬塔。於一一塔前誦一萬遍如法供養者。所求悉地皆得。捨身已任意往生極樂世界。

又以蟻封泥作十萬小塔。一一塔前誦三千五百遍。所求悉地最上最勝。心所念處皆得。其人先造四重五逆大罪。依此無不滅。命終任意往生極樂國土。

又以前泥於佛前作曼荼羅。燒沉水香。別取好花每一誦一擲佛足。日三時乃至七日。能滅一切決定墮地獄罪。仍獲一切所求悉地。

【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本:洗浴完畢后,坐在三棱草座上,誦持三十五萬遍(真言或經文)。一切悉地(成就)沒有不能獲得的。並且能遠離自身一切疾病,必定沒有意外的災禍。如果在觀自在菩薩(Avalokiteśvara)前連續誦持一萬遍,所祈求的善愿都能成就。

又有一種方法,在白月(指農曆每月初一到十五)的初八或十五,清凈洗浴后誦持八千遍,能遠離一切世界的橫難,以及各種魔障都能全部消滅。

又從白月的第一天到第十五天受持八關齋戒,每天誦持一萬遍,能遠離一切毗那野迦(Vinayaka,障礙神)所造成的障礙和困難。

又在正月初一到正月十五,在佛前清凈地佈置曼荼羅(Mandala,壇場),用香和花供養,誦滿三萬五千遍,能得到悉地(成就),一切所求都能如願。

又在早晨用香湯洗浴,誦持三千五百遍,能使一切人敬愛。凡是所求的事情都能如意。

又先在佛前誦持一萬遍,然後從初一開始到第十四天誦持十萬遍,能遠離一切惡的障礙和困難的事情。

又如果有善男信女等,在佛前以及觀自在(Avalokiteśvara)等諸菩薩前,製作曼荼羅(Mandala,壇場),用涂香、燒香、花、燈供養,誦持三千五百遍,捨棄身體后必定往生到觀自在菩薩(Avalokiteśvara)的足下。

又先建造十萬座塔,在每一座塔前誦持一萬遍,如法供養,所求的悉地(成就)都能得到。捨棄身體后可以隨意往生到極樂世界。

又用螞蟻窩的泥土製作十萬座小塔,在每一座塔前誦持三千五百遍,所求的悉地(成就)最為殊勝。心中所想的地方都能到達。這個人即使先前造了四重五逆的大罪,依靠這個方法沒有不能消滅的。命終后可以隨意往生到極樂國土。

又用之前的泥土在佛前製作曼荼羅(Mandala,壇場),焚燒沉香,另外取好的花,每誦一遍就向佛足拋擲一朵,每天三次,乃至七天,能滅除一切必定墮入地獄的罪業。仍然能獲得一切所求的悉地(成就)。

【English Translation】 English version: After bathing, sit on a three-edged grass seat and recite 350,000 times (mantra or scripture). There is no siddhi (accomplishment) that cannot be obtained. Moreover, one can be free from all diseases and will surely be free from unexpected disasters. If one continuously recites 10,000 times before Avalokiteśvara (the Bodhisattva Who Observes the Sounds of the World), all good wishes will be fulfilled.

Another method is to bathe cleanly on the eighth or fifteenth day of the White Month (referring to the first to fifteenth days of the lunar month) and recite 8,000 times. This can ward off all calamities in all worlds, and all demonic obstacles will be completely eliminated.

Also, from the first to the fifteenth day of the White Month, observe the Eight Precepts and recite 10,000 times daily. This can ward off all obstacles and difficulties caused by all Vinayakas (obstacle-creating deities).

Also, from the first day to the fifteenth day of the first month, purify and arrange a Mandala (sacred diagram) before the Buddha, offer incense and flowers, and recite 35,000 times. This can attain siddhi (accomplishment), and all wishes will be fulfilled.

Also, bathe in fragrant water in the morning and recite 3,500 times. This can make everyone love and respect you. All requests will be fulfilled as desired.

Also, first recite 10,000 times before the Buddha, and then recite 100,000 times from the first day to the fourteenth day. This can ward off all evil obstacles and difficult matters.

Furthermore, if there are good men and women who create a Mandala (sacred diagram) before the Buddha and various Bodhisattvas such as Avalokiteśvara (the Bodhisattva Who Observes the Sounds of the World), and offer incense, burning incense, flowers, and lamps, and recite 3,500 times, they will surely be reborn at the feet of Avalokiteśvara (the Bodhisattva Who Observes the Sounds of the World) after abandoning their body.

Also, first build 100,000 stupas (pagodas), and recite 10,000 times before each stupa, making offerings according to the Dharma. All desired siddhis (accomplishments) will be obtained. After abandoning the body, one can be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss at will.

Also, use mud from an ant mound to make 100,000 small stupas, and recite 3,500 times before each stupa. The desired siddhis (accomplishments) will be the most supreme and excellent. All thoughts in the mind will be realized. Even if this person has previously committed the four major offenses and the five rebellious acts, none of them will not be eradicated by relying on this method. After death, one can be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss at will.

Also, use the aforementioned mud to create a Mandala (sacred diagram) before the Buddha, burn aloeswood incense, and separately take good flowers, throwing one flower at the Buddha's feet with each recitation, three times a day, even for seven days. This can eradicate all sins that would definitely lead to falling into hell. Furthermore, one can obtain all desired siddhis (accomplishments).


又不問日月好惡。但取中夜香湯洗浴著新凈衣。誦三千五百遍。一切惡夢悉得消滅。心所求事夢中皆說一一分明必不錯謬。

又於我前作曼荼羅。如牛皮(法師云大小如牛皮)或方或圓二肘三肘作之然牛酥燈八盞。每一萬遍乃至一月。每日如前不與人語。一月已即讀佛大乘經得成不忘。極大聰明。仍見觀自在恒聞說法。

又欲得見觀自在菩薩者。于舍利塔中誦二十五萬遍。然作大供養然牛酥燈坐三棱草。一夜誦真言乃至中夜。聖者即現其身。行人見已即從座起供養恭敬。爾時菩薩即為說法。得聞法已。此人常不離聖者。得不退菩薩地乃至成佛。

又于直向海泉水岸。聚沙造一俱胝塔。每塔前誦一洛叉有難滅重罪應墮地獄悉滅無餘。仍見聖者命終生極樂國土速得成佛。

又每日造一百塔。乃至六月日日持誦者。于其國土一切災難消滅。

又若造俱胝塔。誦一俱胝遍。即見觀自在聽聞說法。此人隨所行處有人見者。即得解脫一切苦海。

又不語。造眾多塔誦三十五萬遍。即得悉地。隨所言說恒為法音無不稱意。

又每日造三千五百塔。一一塔前各誦七遍。以此功德回施一切受苦有情。如是愿言應墮惡道受苦業者皆悉消滅。如是此人凡所見者。如仆隸恭敬。命終生安樂國。

又在面向大海的泉水岸邊,用沙子建造一俱胝(koṭi,一千萬)座塔。每座塔前誦唸一洛叉(lakṣa,十萬)遍(真言),即使有難以消滅的深重罪業,本應墮入地獄,也能全部消滅乾淨。並且能見到聖者(觀自在菩薩),命終后往生極樂國土,迅速成就佛果。

又每天建造一百座塔,乃至六個月,每天都堅持持誦(真言)的人,在他的國土裡,一切災難都會消滅。

又如果建造俱胝(koṭi,一千萬)座塔,誦唸一俱胝(koṭi,一千萬)遍(真言),就能見到觀自在(Avalokiteśvara),聽聞說法。此人無論走到哪裡,有人見到他,就能解脫一切苦海。

又不說話,建造眾多塔,誦唸三十五萬遍(真言),就能得到悉地(siddhi,成就)。無論說什麼,都是符合佛法的聲音,沒有不稱心如意的。

【English Translation】 English version Furthermore, there is no need to inquire about auspicious or inauspicious days. Simply take a fragrant bath in the middle of the night, wear new and clean clothes, and recite (the mantra) three thousand five hundred times. All bad dreams will be eliminated. The things you seek in your heart will be clearly revealed in dreams, without fail.

Also, create a maṇḍala (sacred diagram) before me (Avalokiteśvara). The size should be like a cowhide (the Dharma master says the size is like a cowhide), either square or round, two or three cubits in size. Light eight lamps filled with ghee (clarified butter). Recite (the mantra) ten thousand times each time, continuing for up to a month. Each day, do as before, without speaking to anyone. After a month, you will be able to read the Mahāyāna (Great Vehicle) scriptures of the Buddha and achieve perfect memory, becoming extremely intelligent. Moreover, you will see Avalokiteśvara (the Bodhisattva Who Observes the Sounds of the World) and constantly hear the Dharma being taught.

Furthermore, if one wishes to see Avalokiteśvara-bodhisattva (the Bodhisattva Who Observes the Sounds of the World), recite (the mantra) two hundred and fifty thousand times within a śarīra-stūpa (relic-containing monument). Then, make grand offerings, light ghee lamps, and sit on three-edged grass. Recite the mantra throughout the night until midnight. The Holy One (Avalokiteśvara) will then appear in person. Upon seeing this, the practitioner should immediately rise from their seat, make offerings, and show reverence. At that time, the Bodhisattva will teach the Dharma. Having heard the Dharma, this person will never be separated from the Holy One, attain the stage of non-retrogression as a Bodhisattva, and eventually achieve Buddhahood.

Furthermore, on the shore of a spring facing the ocean, gather sand and build one koṭi (ten million) stūpas (monuments). In front of each stūpa, recite (the mantra) one lakṣa (one hundred thousand) times. Even the most difficult-to-eradicate heavy sins, which would cause one to fall into hell, will be completely eliminated. Moreover, one will see the Holy One (Avalokiteśvara), and upon death, be reborn in the Pure Land of Bliss, quickly attaining Buddhahood.

Furthermore, if one builds one hundred stūpas each day, and continues to recite (the mantra) daily for six months, all calamities in their country will be eliminated.

Furthermore, if one builds one koṭi (ten million) stūpas and recites (the mantra) one koṭi (ten million) times, one will see Avalokiteśvara (the Bodhisattva Who Observes the Sounds of the World) and hear the Dharma being taught. Wherever this person goes, whoever sees them will be liberated from the sea of suffering.

Furthermore, without speaking, build many stūpas and recite (the mantra) three hundred and fifty thousand times, one will attain siddhi (accomplishment). Whatever one says will always be the sound of the Dharma, fulfilling all wishes.

Furthermore, build three thousand five hundred stūpas each day, and recite (the mantra) seven times in front of each stūpa. Dedicate this merit to all sentient beings who are suffering. Make this vow: 'May those who are destined to fall into evil realms and suffer the consequences of their karma have all their (sins) eliminated.' In this way, all who see this person will show respect like servants. Upon death, one will be reborn in the Land of Bliss.


又于塔中限十五日無數密誦。以此功德回施一切眾生者。此人所求大愿皆得成就。

又先受八戒。不語誦一俱胝。得禪地悉地又法于聖者足前誦。一切悉地皆得。

又恒起悲心。以檀香磨涂一圓壇。如荷葉。乃至一落叉。一一罈前誦三千五百遍。如是已讀大乘經。即得聰明智慧。心所欲誦多少皆得自在。

又不語于本尊前誦三十五萬遍。即得聰明最上最勝。

又不語起大慈悲。食大麥飯或唯食菜或乞飲食。字別誦十五萬遍。心所求愿皆得成就。唯除淫慾。若如法供養聖者已。含香誦一萬遍。隨所行處見聞皆喜。

又早起凈浴著新凈衣誦千遍者。忽有饑儉無飯食時。此人在處恒為豐足。又半夜晨朝掬水散身。隨分誦多少。得離一切怖畏。

又加持齒木千遍然嚼用。即得辯才令一切人敬愛。

又加持好花先自嗅。隨與前人。悉珍敬隨意。

又能端坐誦隨分多少。常得安樂。

又于寢處端坐誦八千遍。隨求何事所愿皆得。唯除色慾。

又凡誦八千遍能護自他。

又取未墮地瞿摩夷。和水作泥。于佛法僧及本尊前磨作壇。以有香氣之花散上。然牛酥燈。面東坐誦一萬遍已。便於其處三棱草上眠。心所求事皆具說之一不謬忘。

【English Translation】 English version Furthermore, within a period of fifteen days in a stupa, one should secretly recite mantras countless times. By dedicating the merit of this practice to all sentient beings, all the great wishes of this person will be fulfilled. Furthermore, after first taking the eight precepts, one should silently recite one 'koti' (ten million times). One will attain 'dhyana' (meditation) and 'siddhi' (accomplishment). Alternatively, one can recite in front of the image of a holy being, and all 'siddhis' will be attained. Furthermore, constantly generate a compassionate heart, and grind sandalwood to make a circular mandala, shaped like a lotus leaf. Up to one 'laksha' (one hundred thousand) mandalas, reciting three thousand five hundred times in front of each mandala. After reciting the Mahayana sutras in this way, one will gain intelligence and wisdom, and one will be free to recite as much as one desires. Recite 150,000 times separately, and all the wishes in your heart will be fulfilled, except for lust. If one makes offerings to the holy being according to the Dharma, and then holds incense in the mouth and recites 10,000 times, wherever one goes, everything one sees and hears will be delightful. Furthermore, get up early, purify yourself with a bath, put on new and clean clothes, and recite one thousand times. Even if there is a famine and no food to eat, this person will always have plenty wherever they are. Also, in the middle of the night or early morning, scoop up water and sprinkle it on your body, reciting as much as you can, and you will be free from all fear. Moreover, bless your palms eight hundred times and use them to rub the body of someone suffering from a fever. If they lie down in a clean place, they will be healed.

I will now describe the method of creating an image. Take a clean piece of 㲲 (a type of woolen fabric) that has never been cut. The best is one woven by a virgin girl. In the center, paint Amitabha Tathagata (Amitabha, the lord of the Western Pure Land), six 'chak' (an ancient unit of length) in height, with his hands in the teaching mudra, seated in the lotus position on a lotus platform. His body is pure gold, emitting white flame-like light. To the right of the Buddha, paint Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva (also known as Guanyin Bodhisattva, the embodiment of compassion), and to the left, paint Mahāsthāmaprāpta Bodhisattva (the symbol of wisdom). In front of this image, offer fragrant paste, powdered incense, burning incense, and various foods according to the Dharma. Also offer flowers, lamps, banners, canopies, and music. Constantly recite Amitabha's (Amitabha) name in your heart and chant his mantra 350,000 times, and you will attain Siddhi (Siddhi). After that, whatever you think of will be accomplished.

Now I will further explain the method of carving images. Take a piece of white sandalwood. Carve Amitabha (Amitabha) in the center, Avalokiteśvara (Avalokiteśvara) on the right, and Mahāsthāmaprāpta (Mahāsthāmaprāpta) on the left, each holding a white whisk. The robes, necklaces, and so on should all be made according to the ritual, except for ponds and the like. In front of this image, build a homa furnace. First, put five grains and five treasures into the furnace. Light a fire with Aśvattha (Aśvattha) wood. Mix ghee, honey, yogurt, and various flowers together and place them in gold, silver, or copper vessels. Chant the mantra 2,500 times, and then perform the homa. Furthermore, in front of this image, use Jati-sumana flowers, each blessed once before offering. Then, lie down on three-edged grass in front of the image, and you will see the Holy One (Avalokiteshvara) in a dream, who will explain in detail everything you ask for and all your endeavors.

又先覓黃牛有牘子者。取此牛酥亦取其乳。于銅器中盛。用嘻利(二合)多啰安阇都摩那多(二合)尸羅。及用金末鍮石末銅末。六物相和搗篩便丸之。于銅器中盛。加特是藥乃至火出。即出一丸安口中。便身凈吐出乃見壽萬年。一切事皆得自在。唯除淫慾。命終生極樂國土。

又以金銀或好鐵。如法作刀或輪或瓔珞等寶具。或復作缽。以是物等置阿師伐馱樹葉上。作無限唸誦。乃至其物動搖。見動已手執之。即成明仙壽命一劫。即見聖者于彼聞法已便得解脫。

又以牛黃安阇那(二合)共多利(二合)嚕訶相和為丸口含。于像前無限唸誦。乃至

【English Translation】 English version: People must not be alarmed or frightened. Tell them: 'You are my messenger.' Even if they are made to do all kinds of difficult and arduous tasks, they will certainly not dare to disobey. Also, in front of the Asura (non-heavenly being or demon) cave entrance, recite one koti (ten million times) according to the Dharma. Then the Asura woman will come out and invite the practitioner to enter. After entering, one will obtain a position of freedom among the Asura kings. One's lifespan will be one kalpa (an extremely long period of time), and one will see Maitreya (the future Buddha) descend. I will now further explain the method of carving and sculpting images. Either use gold and silver, or use fragrant wood. Carve an image of Avalokiteśvara (the Bodhisattva of Compassion) measuring six fingers in length. The left hand holds a lotus flower, and the right hand bestows fearlessness. After carving, place it in a stupa containing relics. Afterwards, sleep in the place of recitation. In a dream, one will see Amitābha (Amitābha) and the assembly of Bodhisattvas, hear the Dharma sound, and attain the position of a non-retreating Bodhisattva.

I will now further describe the method of sculpting images. Make an image of Avalokiteśvara (Avalokiteśvara) with clean yellow mud. If the image is one or two cubits in size, the method is as before. Make a round stove in front of the image, and in front of the stove, make a small round altar with various incenses. Then, take cow dung that has not fallen to the ground and make a human figure. Reciting 2,500 times before a stupa will lead to the accomplishment of Varu (Water deity) Śiva (Shiva). All the methods described above can be fully accomplished.

Furthermore, if one silently recites without uttering a sound, one can extinguish all the evil karma and sins accumulated in previous lives. If one recites aloud, one can extinguish all present sins and will see auspicious signs.

Moreover, if one enters a sea spring and stands waist-deep in the water, reciting 2.5 million times, the Holy One will appear and proclaim all merits and various virtuous Dharma teachings.

Also, as mentioned above, using 250,000 stems of Jatismrti (Knowledge of past lives) flowers, throwing one stem into the spring with each recitation, the Holy One will expound the Dharma for extinguishing all sins and obstacles.

Furthermore, if one makes daily offerings to the Holy One, silently reciting twenty-one times, all sins and obstacles will be completely eradicated.

Moreover, if one silently recites, visualizing one's heart transforming into the shape of a stupa, even up to eight hundred stupas, this person will be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss after death.

Also, if one builds a stupa one cubit high and recites eight hundred times in front of the stupa, all sins and obstacles will be eliminated, and the circumstances of death will be as described above.

Furthermore, before or after meals, whether sitting, lying down, walking, or standing, simply reciting silently will attain the irreversible stage of a Bodhisattva, and one will personally see the Holy One at the time of death.

Moreover, if one cannot build a stupa, but simply contemplates a stupa in one's mind, reciting ten thousand times each in front of it, and making various offerings with one's mind, then all severe sins that should lead to hell will be completely eradicated.

Also, if one recites for the benefit of all sentient beings, all virtuous Dharmas will gather around one.

Now I will speak of other methods. If one makes great offerings before a stupa or on a mountaintop, and takes the Eight Precepts before Avalokiteśvara (The Bodhisattva of compassion), eating barley rice and milk, reciting 3.5 million times, one will accomplish the Puriva Śiva practice.

或二月十五日。受八戒供養聖者誦八千。即悉地。后所作事皆得自在。

Continue reciting in this way until all the flowers are used up, throughout the entire night, and you will be able to see the Holy One. If you are unable to see the Holy One, you will still obtain five hundred suvarṇas (gold coins).

Moreover, if you perform a homa (fire ritual) with ghee eight thousand times for seven days, you will be respected and honored by the king.

Furthermore, make a small basket from the branches of the Manara tree, and decorate the basket with various jewels. Light a fire with Brahmin soapberry wood, and perform a homa eight hundred times with Marona wood. Whomever you call, no matter how far or near, will arrive immediately.

Furthermore, take Ashoka wood (Saraca asoca), cut a piece six fingers long to make a bone clapper (a ritual instrument). Go to the mountaintop and eat barley porridge with milk. Recite the mantra three lakṣas (300,000 times). Then, starting from the fifteenth day of the white month (the waxing half of the lunar month), abstain from food for three days. Cover the bone clapper with leaves from the Ashvattha tree (Bodhi tree, Ficus religiosa), and continue reciting. Until a vidyādharī (female celestial being) appears in that place, the practitioner should immediately rise, greet her, and ask for their wish. The vidyādharī may transform into a sister, mother, wife, etc. This vidyādharī will certainly not refuse, and will often provide the practitioner with food for twelve people, and give gold nails, and also extend their lifespan to one thousand years.

Furthermore, during a lunar eclipse, place high-quality ghee in a clean vessel, and cover it with leaves from the Ashvapatra tree (Banyan tree, Ficus benghalensis). Continuously recite the mantra. When the moon returns to its original state, three signs will appear: boiling, smoke, and flames. If boiling appears, consume the ghee, and you will live for five hundred years, and be able to travel five hundred li (Chinese mile) per day, becoming a respected figure among the invisible immortals. If smoke appears, consume the ghee, and you will become invisible, rising twenty-four fingers above the ground, and be able to travel one thousand yojanas (ancient Indian unit of distance) per day, with a lifespan of one thousand years. If flames appear, consume the ghee, and you will obtain great divine power, becoming a luminous immortal with a lifespan of three kalpas (an extremely long period of time).

Furthermore, mix red lotus flowers with three sweet foods (usually referring to honey, sugar, and ghee), and perform a homa one million times. From the fire, the goddess Lakshmi will appear, with a beautiful and radiant appearance, holding a lotus flower in her hand. She will grant whatever wish the practitioner asks for, or transform into a mother, sister, etc., and will also give gold nails.

Furthermore, observe the eight precepts, eat barley food, or eat barley mixed with milk. Sit on a mat of three-edged grass and recite the mantra eight thousand times, and all suffering from hunger and thirst will be eliminated.

我現在再說其他事業法。先受持八關齋戒。或者在清凈之處,或者泉水邊建造一座舍利塔。塔中安放十二因緣偈。早上建造一座塔,持誦八千遍。中午也這樣做。能得到一切明仙中的輪王果位。恒常與聖者同住。也能向西方見到阿彌陀佛。延長壽命一劫。無量明仙前後圍繞。大梵天王親自前來供養,隨意自在。

Furthermore, reciting six hundred thousand times (Laksha) in front of a stupa, and then covering the image with an uncut white felt blanket, performing unlimited and uninterrupted recitation. When fire appears on the blanket, the practitioner can lead three thousand people to fly in the sky, and can perform all kinds of inconceivable deeds.

I will now speak of other methods. According to the previous method, empower the image of Mahaseta (摩訶稅門馱) on the image. Make it the color of white sandalwood. Adorn it with precious jewels and necklaces in various lawful ways. The hair should be tied up and not let down. The heavenly robe should be white. After painting, set up a great offering. Reciting three hundred thousand times (Laksha) according to the Dharma will attain Siddhi.

I will now speak of other activity methods. First, take the eight precepts. Or, in a clean place or by a spring, build a stupa. Place the verses of the Twelve Links of Dependent Origination in the stupa. Build a stupa in the morning and recite eight thousand times. Do the same at noon. One will obtain the Chakravartin (輪王) position among all the Vidyadharas (明仙). One will always live with the holy ones. One will also see Amitabha Buddha (阿彌陀佛) in the West. One will extend one's life by one kalpa. Countless Vidyadharas will surround one. The Great Brahma King (大梵天王) will personally come to make offerings, and one will be free at will.

Also, light a fire with Avarimalla (阿伐利末羅迦) wood. Also, use this wood and three sweets (milk, yogurt, ghee) to perform a homa eight thousand times, and one will be treated with respect and reverence by one's family.

When the flames appear, this medicine can command all the eight classes of gods and spirits, such as the heavenly dragons (Nāgas), Yakshas (a type of demi-god), Rakshasas (demons), etc. It can also cause illusions. It can also obtain all mantra siddhis (accomplishments), and cause all kinds of knives and weapons to produce illusions, even the past and future will be deceived, let alone the present.

Also, offer it to the Holy One. Use withered lotus flowers and your own blood and the best ghee. First, make a small altar in front of the image. Set up grand offerings. Take Er迦 wood (a type of tree) and light it, using that medicine for homa (fire sacrifice). Do this three times. Recite the name of anyone you wish, and you can arbitrarily command that person, just like a servant seeing his master. And you will get one hundred ingots of gold, and that person will definitely not dare to disobey.

Also, burn any kind of miscellaneous firewood, and use soil from a grave for homa. Recite the name of anyone you wish, calling his name eight thousand times. You will get that person's respect at will.

Also, use red mustard seed oil, and take the roots, stems, and flowers of mustard and your own blood. Light Er迦 wood and perform homa with that medicine. Recite the name of anyone you wish, calling his name as above. If you bless it seven times, that person will arrive urgently.

Also, first take the eight precepts and recite it eight thousand times. Let a good painter also take the eight precepts, and first teach him to recite the A 唎 多 啰 mantra (Ariadara mantra). Draw an image of 弊 羅 娑 (Vinayaka, Ganesha). Place four leaves of A 悉 伐 (two combined) (fig tree) in front of the image. Take ivory and peas.

Also, use Mana Na (Realgar), Xi Luo medicine (Orpiment). Either take three taels or take eight taels. Place the above three flavors on the front leaves.

Also, cover the medicine with three leaves. Either on the eighth, fifteenth day, or during a lunar eclipse. Bless the medicine, reciting it continuously. When three signs appear, you will get the upper, middle, and lower siddhis (accomplishments) accordingly.

I will now explain another method. First, take the eight precepts as a beggar. Bathe with fragrant soup at an auspicious time, put on new and clean clothes. Generate great Bodhicitta, cut off greed and love. Generate compassion for all sentient beings. Either in a pagoda or in front of a Buddha, recite three lakshas (300,000 times). Then draw Avalokiteśvara (Guānzìzài Púsà) on a clean cloth. Holding a lotus flower in his hand. Avalokiteśvara should be black standing on the lotus flower. Adorn with treasures.

Using Tisyata wood (Tisyata wood, Sanskrit, a type of wood) mixed with ghee and honey, perform homa (fire offering) twenty-four thousand times. Then the image will emit light, or the earth will shake, or the sound of drums will be heard, or the flame of the lamp will gradually lengthen, or the flowers will move. If such signs are seen, it is known that siddhi (siddhi, accomplishment) has been attained, able to extinguish all evils, and has received the constant protection of the principal deity. All great wishes sought will be freely fulfilled. Wherever this person is, those who see them will love and respect them. Furthermore, make a lotus flower about six fingers long from Ta-ri-lu-ha (Ta-ri-lu-ha, three metals, i.e., gold, silver, and copper), bathe it three times a day with fragrant water, and do not speak to anyone. Recite five Lakhsas in the stupa, then offer it for three days without eating. Hold the lotus flower and recite without interruption. If the flower ignites, one will be able to lead three thousand people to fly through the air and be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss, equal to all sages and dwelling with all Bodhisattvas.

Furthermore, eat barley, bathe three times a day, change clothes three times, and recite one Koti (Koti, ten million). One will attain the Siddhi in one's heart.
