夫修行者慾念誦時。先應誦清凈真言七遍。真言曰。
oṃ śu ddhe nu śā ddha nā ya svā 唵 秫(詩聿反) 弟 耨 戌(引) 馱 曩(引) 野 娑嚩(二合引) hā 賀(引)
由誦此真言。則獲得三業清凈。則成以功德法水灑浴身心。則結觀自在菩薩印。
二羽相叉作拳。以禪度出外直豎即成。誦心真言七遍。真言曰。
oṃ ā ro li k svā 唵 阿(去引) 嚧(引) 力 迦(半音) 婆嚩(二合引) hā 賀(引)
由結此印及誦真言。即成三昧耶。又結前印誦真言三遍。以印左繞三匝。則成辟除一切諸魔障者。又結前印誦真言三遍。以印右轉三匝則成結界。
則想身前八葉蓮華。又結前印誦真言七遍。以禪度向身招之。
則觀自在菩薩。並蓮華部一切聖眾。皆來集會。則以二手捧閼伽香水器。當額奉獻誦真言七遍。想浴聖眾。

修行者想要念誦時,首先應當誦清凈真言七遍。真言如下:
唵(oṃ) 秫(shú)弟(dì) 耨(nòu) 戌(xū)(引) 馱(tuó) 曩(náng)(引) 野(yě) 娑嚩(suō pó)(二合引) 賀(hè)(引)
通過誦此真言,就能獲得身、口、意三業的清凈,如同用功德法水洗浴身心。然後結觀自在菩薩(Avalokiteśvara)印。
兩手相叉作拳,伸出中指,向上豎直,即成此印。誦心真言七遍。真言如下:
唵(oṃ) 阿(ā)(去引) 嚧(lú)(引) 力(lì) 迦(jiā)(半音) 婆嚩(pó wá)(二合引) 賀(hè)(引)
通過結此印及誦真言,即成就三昧耶(Samaya,誓約)。再結前印,誦真言三遍,用印向左繞三圈,就能辟除一切諸魔障礙。再結前印,誦真言三遍,用印向右轉三圈,就能結界。
然後觀想身前出現八葉蓮華。再結前印,誦真言七遍,用中指向自身方向招引。
這樣觀自在菩薩(Avalokiteśvara),以及蓮華部(Padma-kula)的一切聖眾,都會降臨。然後用雙手捧著閼伽(Argha,供水)香水器,舉至額頭奉獻,誦真言七遍,觀想沐浴聖眾。

The One-Seal Recitation Method of the Heart Mantra of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva (From the Thousand-Hand and Thousand-Eye Sutra)
Translated by Tripiṭaka Śramaṇa Amoghavajra of Daxingshan Temple under Imperial Decree
When a practitioner wishes to recite, they should first recite the purification mantra seven times. The mantra is as follows:
oṃ śu ddhe nu śā ddha nā ya svā hā
By reciting this mantra, one obtains the purification of the three karmas (body, speech, and mind), as if bathing the body and mind with the water of meritorious dharma. Then, form the mudra (hand gesture) of Avalokiteśvara (the Bodhisattva of Compassion).
Cross the hands to form a fist, extend the middle fingers outward and upright, and the mudra is formed. Recite the heart mantra seven times. The mantra is as follows:
oṃ ā ro li k svā hā
By forming this mudra and reciting the mantra, one accomplishes Samaya (vow). Then, form the previous mudra and recite the mantra three times, circling the mudra three times to the left, and one can dispel all demonic obstacles. Then, form the previous mudra and recite the mantra three times, turning the mudra three times to the right, and one can establish a boundary.
Then, visualize an eight-petaled lotus flower in front of you. Then, form the previous mudra and recite the mantra seven times, using the middle finger to beckon towards yourself.
In this way, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva (the Bodhisattva of Compassion), and all the holy beings of the Padma-kula (Lotus Family), will descend. Then, with both hands, hold the Argha (water offering) vessel of fragrant water, raise it to the forehead and offer it, reciting the mantra seven times, visualizing bathing the holy beings.

前印誦真言七遍。則成獻蓮華之座。
又結前印誦真言三遍。則成涂香供養。
又結前印誦真言三遍。則成華鬘供養。
又結前印誦真言三遍。則成種種天妙飲食供養。
又結前印誦真言三遍。則成燈燭供養。
又結前印當心誦真言七遍。則想自身坐於八葉蓮華臺中。相好威光具足圓滿等同觀自在菩薩。于蓮華八葉。每一一葉上。各有一如來入定。面向觀自在菩薩。行者以如是觀念極令分明。舉印于頂上散。
則取念珠蟠于掌中合掌當心。誦加持念珠真言七遍。真言曰。
oṃ vai lo ca na ma la svā 唵 尾 嚕(引) 左 曩(引) 么(鼻聲) 攞 娑嚩(二合引) hā 賀(引)
則二手當心。各聚五指如未敷蓮華形。當心誦真言。不緩不急歷分明不應出聲。寂靜唸誦每與真言后字聲齊移一珠。於心真言句中去初后字。唸誦之時勿令散亂。身心凝寂更不異緣。唯觀本尊專注唸誦。則觀想身前八葉蓮華上。有觀自在菩薩相好圓滿處月輪中。復觀自身同彼觀自在菩薩等無差別。唸誦數畢。捧珠頂戴起慈悲心發大誓願。一切有情所希望。世間殊勝上愿。速得成就則安珠本處。
又結前印當心誦真言七遍。

再結前印,放在心前,誦真言七遍,就觀想自身坐在八葉蓮花臺中,儀容美好,威德光明,具足圓滿,等同於觀自在菩薩(Guānzìzài Púsà,Avalokiteśvara)。在蓮花的八片花瓣上,每一片花瓣上,各有一如來入定,面向觀自在菩薩。修行者以這樣的觀念,使其非常清晰分明。舉起手印在頭頂上散開。
然後取念珠,盤在掌中,合掌放在心前,誦加持念珠真言七遍。真言如下:
唵(ōng) 尾(wěi) 嚕(引)(lū yǐn) 左(zuǒ) 曩(引)(nǎng yǐn) 么(鼻聲)(me bíshēng) 攞(luó) 娑嚩(二合引)(suōpó èrhé yǐn) 賀(引)(hè yǐn)
然後雙手放在心前,各聚攏五指,形成未開放的蓮花形狀,在心前誦真言。不快不慢,清晰分明,不應出聲。寂靜地念誦,每次與真言的最後一個字的聲音同步移動一顆念珠。在心中唸誦真言時,去掉開頭和結尾的字。唸誦的時候不要散亂,身心凝定寂靜,不再有其他的想法。只觀想本尊,專注地念誦。然後觀想身前八葉蓮花上,有觀自在菩薩,儀容美好圓滿,處於月輪之中。再觀想自身與觀自在菩薩相同,沒有差別。唸誦的次數完畢后,捧著念珠頂戴,生起慈悲心,發出大誓願,希望一切有情眾生,世間殊勝的願望,迅速得到成就,然後將念珠放回原來的地方。

【English Translation】 English version First, form the preceding mudra and recite the mantra seven times, which then becomes an offering of a lotus seat.
Then, form the preceding mudra and recite the mantra three times, which then becomes an offering of scented paste.
Then, form the preceding mudra and recite the mantra three times, which then becomes an offering of flower garlands (Hua Man).
Then, form the preceding mudra and recite the mantra three times, which then becomes an offering of various celestial and wonderful foods.
Then, form the preceding mudra and recite the mantra three times, which then becomes an offering of lamps and candles.
Then, form the preceding mudra, place it at the heart, and recite the mantra seven times. Visualize yourself seated in the center of an eight-petaled lotus, with perfect and complete features, majestic light, equal to Avalokiteśvara (Guānzìzài Púsà). On each of the eight petals of the lotus, there is a Tathagata in samadhi, facing Avalokiteśvara. The practitioner should make this visualization extremely clear and distinct. Raise the mudra and scatter it above the head.
Then, take the prayer beads, coil them in the palm of your hand, and bring your palms together at your heart. Recite the mantra for empowering the prayer beads seven times. The mantra is:
oṃ vai lo ca na ma la svā hā
Then, place both hands at the heart, each with the five fingers gathered like an unopened lotus flower. Recite the mantra at the heart, neither too fast nor too slow, clearly and distinctly, without making any sound. Silently recite, moving one bead each time with the sound of the last syllable of the mantra. In the mantra recitation in your heart, omit the first and last syllables. Do not let your mind wander while reciting. Concentrate your body and mind, and do not think of anything else. Only visualize the principal deity and focus on the recitation. Then, visualize Avalokiteśvara on the eight-petaled lotus in front of you, with perfect and complete features, residing in a moon disc. Then, visualize yourself as being the same as Avalokiteśvara, without any difference. After completing the recitation, hold the beads above your head, generate compassion, and make great vows, hoping that all sentient beings and the world's most excellent wishes will be quickly fulfilled. Then, return the beads to their original place.
Then, form the preceding mudra, place it at the heart, and recite the mantra seven times.
即成三昧耶。
復以印加持自身五處。所謂額上右肩左肩心上及喉是名五處。各誦真言一遍。加持頂上散印。
又結前印如前獻五種供養。各誦真言一遍則成廣大供養。則以二手捧閼伽水。當額奉獻誦真言一遍。
又結前印左轉一匝則成解界。
又結前印以禪度向外擲之誦真言三遍。舉印安頂則成奉送一切聖眾。
又結前印加持。自身五處。各誦真言一遍。則成被甲。頂上散印。
修行者如是依此秘密法要。精誠唸誦作意修持。一切所為速得成就。世出世間諸愿圓滿。業障消除三昧現前。不轉此身騰空自在隨意。即往十方凈土歷事諸佛。速成無上菩提。

觀自在菩薩心真言一印唸誦法(仁)不空
此中仁者圓仁。即慈覺大師之諱也。此本則慈覺請來也。
【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本 即成就三昧耶(Samaya,誓言、平等)。
再次以手印加持自身五處。所謂的五處是:額頭、右肩、左肩、心口以及喉嚨,這被稱為五處。在每一處各誦唸真言一遍。加持頭頂后散開手印。
再次結成之前的手印,如前供養五種供養品。每供養一種,各誦唸真言一遍,就成為廣大的供養。然後用雙手捧起閼伽水(Arghya,供養水),在額頭前奉獻,誦唸真言一遍。
再次結成之前的手印,向左旋轉一圈,就完成了破除結界。
再次結成之前的手印,用禪度(中指)向外拋擲,誦唸真言三遍。舉起手印安放在頭頂,就完成了奉送一切聖眾。
再次結成之前的手印,加持自身五處。在每一處各誦唸真言一遍,就完成了披甲護身。在頭頂散開手印。
修行者如果這樣依照此秘密法要,精誠地念誦、作意修持,一切所為都能迅速得到成就,世間和出世間的一切願望都能圓滿,業障消除,三昧(Samadhi,正定)現前。不需轉換此身,就能騰空自在,隨意前往十方凈土,經歷諸佛之事,迅速成就無上菩提(Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi,無上正等正覺)。

八家祕錄記載:
觀自在菩薩心真言一印唸誦法(仁)——不空
這裡所說的『仁』指的是圓仁,也就是慈覺大師的名諱。此版本是慈覺大師請回的。
【English Translation】 English version Thus, the Samaya (vow, equality) is accomplished.
Again, with the mudra (hand gesture), bless the five places of your own body. The so-called five places are: the forehead, the right shoulder, the left shoulder, the heart, and the throat. These are called the five places. Recite the mantra once at each place. After blessing the crown of the head, scatter the mudra.
Again, form the previous mudra and offer the five kinds of offerings as before. Recite the mantra once for each offering, and it becomes a vast offering. Then, with both hands, hold the Arghya water (offering water) and offer it before the forehead, reciting the mantra once.
Again, form the previous mudra and rotate it once to the left, and the breaking of the boundary is completed.
Again, form the previous mudra and throw it outward with the middle finger (Zen finger), reciting the mantra three times. Raise the mudra and place it on the crown of the head, and the sending off of all the holy assembly is completed.
Again, form the previous mudra and bless the five places of your own body. Recite the mantra once at each place, and the donning of armor is completed. Scatter the mudra on the crown of the head.
If a practitioner thus relies on this secret Dharma essence, sincerely recites, contemplates, and cultivates, all endeavors will be quickly accomplished, all worldly and other-worldly wishes will be fulfilled, karmic obstacles will be eliminated, and Samadhi (concentration) will manifest. Without transforming this body, one can freely soar into the sky, go to the pure lands of the ten directions at will, experience the affairs of all Buddhas, and quickly attain Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (unsurpassed perfect enlightenment).
The One Mudra Recitation Method of the Heart Mantra of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva
The Hachi-ke Hiroku (Eight Houses Secret Records) states:

Here, 'Nin' refers to Ennin, which is the posthumous name of Jikaku Daishi (慈覺大師). This version was brought back by Jikaku Daishi.
