如是我聞。一時佛在舍衛國祇陀林中。爾時有一外道旃陀羅女。專行眾惡符書厭禱。或事山神樹神樹下鬼神。日月五星南斗北辰。一切魍魎雜魔邪魅。惑尊者阿難及諸善人。如是等恒河沙數。

即時如來因見阿難恍惚。憐愍一切故。為說此六字神咒王經。先佛所說我今亦說。即說咒曰。

安陀隸 槃陀隸 迦羅知 趐由知 帝阇波帝 頻頭波帝 陀頭隸 陀究帝隸 陀究摩帝 修摩帝 安陀羅 槃陀羅 檀陀羅 提兜羅 阿那延陀 曼陀波帝 阿那 阿那夜 摩頭 摩波帝 迦羅吒 翅由羅 浮登伽彌 帝阇波帝 頻頭摩帝 阿羅婆 伽婆帝 毗咤 毗提膩 至吒 毗提膩 悉波呵

【English Translation】 English version The Buddha Speaks the Six-Syllable Divine Mantra King Sutra

Thus have I heard. At one time, the Buddha was in the Jeta Grove in Shravasti (Sravasti). At that time, there was an outsider Candala (Candala, outcast) woman who specialized in performing various evil spells and curses. She either served mountain gods, tree gods, ghosts under trees, or served the sun, moon, five planets, the Southern Dipper, the Northern Dipper, and all sorts of goblins, miscellaneous demons, and evil spirits, bewitching the Venerable Ananda (Ananda) and all good people, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River.

At that time, the Tathagata, seeing Ananda's bewildered appearance and having compassion for all beings, spoke this Six-Syllable Divine Mantra King Sutra. What the Buddhas of the past have spoken, I now also speak. He then spoke the mantra:

安陀隸,槃陀隸,迦羅知,趐由知,帝阇波帝,頻頭波帝,陀頭隸,陀究帝隸,陀究摩帝,修摩帝,安陀羅,槃陀羅,檀陀羅,提兜羅,阿那延陀,曼陀波帝,阿那,阿那夜,摩頭,摩波帝,迦羅吒,翅由羅,浮登伽彌,帝阇波帝,頻頭摩帝,阿羅婆,伽婆帝,毗咤,毗提膩,至吒,毗提膩,悉波呵.

If someone makes an evil curse for so-and-so, whether it has already been done or is about to be done. Whether it is a deva (god), naga (dragon), yaksa (Yaksa), raksa (Raksa), a hungry ghost, kumbhanda (Kumbhanda), putana (Putana), pisaca (Pisaca), apasmara (Apasmara), upasmara (Upasmara), kicaka (Kicaka), khavada (Khavada), vetala (Vetala), ardhavetala (Ardhavetala), sramana (Sramana), brahmana (Brahmana), ksatriya (Ksatriya), vaisya (Vaisya), sudra (Sudra), matanga (Matanga) woman, candala (Candala), candala (Candala) woman, slave, servant, male, female, outsider, nigantha (Nigantha), or an outsider renunciate male or female.

灶邊滅之。若爐灶中作爐灶中滅之。若火邊作火邊滅之。若火中作火中滅之。若廁溷邊作廁溷邊滅之。若廁溷便中作廁溷便中滅之。若車乘具邊作車乘具邊滅之。若車乘具中作車乘具中滅之。若鞍馬服飾邊作鞍馬服飾邊滅之。若床敷邊作床敷邊滅之。若床敷中作床敷寂滅之。若衣被氈褥邊作衣被氈褥邊滅之。若靴帽中作靴帽中滅之。若雜器中作雜器中滅之。若飲食中作飲食中滅之。若側近人作者悉皆滅之。若夜作夜滅之。若晝作晝滅之。晝夜常作悉皆滅之。此咒能斷帝釋咒道。能斷梵天咒道。能斷四天大王咒道。及與一切所有邪鬼咒方道術悉皆能斷。若有為某甲作惡咒詛。及與毒藥悉皆滅之。若佉傴陀若毗陀羅。若吉遮若富多那所為悉皆滅之。

眾惡都盡眾善補處。愿此咒常吉。以此真實章句。使某甲晝安夜安晝夜常安。得受百歲得見百秋。何以故世間最上無過於佛。天尊所上眾神仰奉。若有行惡咒道。若作已作若當作。若中作若成就若未成就悉皆滅之。及與一切眾毒能害人者。此六字神咒王經皆消滅之。即說咒曰。

佉智 佉住 佉毗智 緘壽 緘壽 多智 婆智

若有為某甲作惡咒詛。若作已若當作。若天若龍。若夜叉若羅剎。及與一切能作惡咒詛悉皆滅之。若佉傴陀若毗陀羅若富多那所為悉

【English Translation】 English version If it arises near the stove, extinguish it near the stove. If it arises in the stove, extinguish it in the stove. If it arises near the fire, extinguish it near the fire. If it arises in the fire, extinguish it in the fire. If it arises near the toilet, extinguish it near the toilet. If it arises in the excrement of the toilet, extinguish it in the excrement of the toilet. If it arises near the vehicles, extinguish it near the vehicles. If it arises in the vehicles, extinguish it in the vehicles. If it arises near the saddles and ornaments, extinguish it near the saddles and ornaments. If it arises near the bed, extinguish it near the bed. If it arises in the bed, let it be extinguished into silence in the bed. It can cut off the mantra path of Brahma (梵天, Hindu creator god, also a protector in Buddhism). It can cut off the mantra path of the Four Heavenly Kings (四大天王, Buddhist guardian deities), and all the mantra methods of all evil ghosts can be cut off. If someone has made an evil curse for so-and-so (某甲, someone), and has given poison, extinguish all of it. Whether it is done by a Kumbhanda (佉傴陀, a type of evil ghost), or a Vetala (毗陀羅, a type of vampire), or a Kichaka (吉遮, a corpse demon), or a Putana (富多那, a type of hungry ghost), extinguish all of what they have done.

All evils are exhausted, and all good deeds are replenished. May this mantra always be auspicious. With this true verse, may so-and-so have peace during the day, peace at night, and constant peace day and night. May they live to be a hundred years old and see a hundred autumns. Why? Because there is nothing in the world superior to the Buddha (佛). The Heavenly honored ones revere and all the gods look up to and serve. If there is anyone practicing evil mantra paths, whether they have already done it, or are about to do it, or are doing it, or have achieved it, or have not yet achieved it, extinguish all of it. And all poisons that can harm people, this six-word divine mantra king scripture can extinguish them all. Then the mantra is spoken:

Kha-ji (佉智) Kha-jyu (佉住) Kha-vi-ji (佉毗智) Kyam-shou (緘壽) Kyam-shou (緘壽) Ta-ji (多智) Va-ji (婆智)

If someone has made an evil curse for so-and-so, whether they have already done it, or are about to do it, whether it is a Deva (天), or a Naga (龍), or a Yaksa (夜叉), or a Rakshasa (羅剎), and all who can make evil curses, extinguish all of it. Whether it is done by a Kumbhanda, or a Vetala, or a Putana, extinguish all of what they have done.


皆滅之。眾惡都盡眾善補處。愿此咒常吉。以此真實章句。使某甲晝安夜安晝夜常安。得受百歲得見百秋。何以故世間最妙無過於法。天人所欽眾魔奉受離欲無著。即說咒曰。

佉智 佉住 佉毗智 緘壽 緘壽 多智婆智

何以故。世間最貴無過於僧。良善福田賢聖所敬眾善守護。即說咒曰。

佉智 佉住 佉毗智 緘壽 緘壽 多智 婆智 兜帝 阿彌帝 阿周帝

若有為某甲作惡咒詛。若和合毒藥。若真若偽所作非法。若前身若今身。行業眾惡一切重罪。皆悉滅之。即說咒曰。

摩烋波 烏摩陀 蓰陀禰 佉傴他 波提 蓰陀禰 頻頭摩提 至帝 至多提婆 蓰陀禰 阿渒 旃陀渒 悉波訶

若有人誦持六字神咒王經。假令咒枯樹可得還生枝葉。何況咒人身。使某甲得受百歲得見百秋。諸佛所說阿難所傳。若人讀誦通利悉皆自護。眾惡遠身恒與善居。若咒他者能除彼人眾苦惡患。誦者斷五辛至心鮮潔然後乃能行之。諸難兇禍無有遺余吉無不利。即說咒曰。

呵呵遮利 呵呵那彌 呵呵浮丘陀摩提 呵呵浮丘陀 尼劬沙 呵呵尼呵 陀佉傴陀 尼毗沙 佉傴陀 伊禰 彌禰 陀弊 陀陀弊 悉波呵

南無佛觀世音菩薩摩訶薩。南無法。南無比丘僧。禮彼大士。

Avalokiteśvara (the Bodhisattva who contemplates the sounds of the world) observes my body, Avalokiteśvara (the Bodhisattva who contemplates the sounds of the world) observes my body, out of compassion for me. Then the mantra is spoken as follows:

Wu he ni, wu he ni, a tuo, ni a tuo, pi a tuo, she pi ni, dan pi ni, an tuo li, na tuo li, si pi ti, an tuo, luo po si, sa lu dou, shu cha po luo, dou shu cha, mao dan she bo, ye dan bo, ye wu he ye, ni po luo, ye ye bo mou, luo ti, pan mou zhe ti, lu lou zhi zha, ban tuo si, zhi zha ban tuo si, xi bo he.

This mantra can protect against all calamities. Fresh and pure light, liberation from defilement, observing all, saving from all difficulties, keeping deluded and absurd demons away. Protecting the body in this life, so that lions, mad elephants, tigers, wolves, monkeys, and all kinds of poisonous creatures that harm people are all bound. I now, for so-and-so (referring to a person's name) and fellow companions, wherever the power of the mantra is directed, may there be nothing but auspiciousness. To use this mantra well, one should bathe on the day of using the mantra, making the body fresh and clean, removing dirt and impurities. One must not engage in sexual activity, not eat the five pungent spices (garlic, onions, asafoetida, leeks, and scallions), not drink alcohol, and not eat meat. Use a white silk thread, holding the thread in hand, chanting the mantra seven times, tying a knot after each recitation. If there is a lawsuit, if there is a dispute, if there is a curse, and all kinds of evils, may they all be extinguished. After chanting the mantra, tie this thread to the person's clean clothing belt. After the matter is over, invite the Buddha and the Sangha, burn various precious incense, and in the temple, recite the Mahayana scriptures, set up offerings and a vegetarian feast, to the best of one's ability, to repay the Buddha's compassionate grace. The host personally resolves the vows, forever cutting off the eight difficulties (referring to the eight unfavorable conditions for practice), and may good wishes arise from the heart. This mantra can eliminate all darkness, is held by the Tathagata, and is revered by all devas. Good spirits protect, Brahma (Brahma) understands. Indra (Indra) serves, and the Lokapalas (Lokapala) guard and protect. It resolves great sages, and immortals uphold and harmonize. Sentient beings are liberated from bondage. Those below the Four Heavenly Kings (Caturmaharajakayikas) and the masses of people sever afflictions and subdue demonic enemies. It transforms heretics, causing them to abandon evil and embrace goodness. It eliminates the heart of contention, jealousy, argument, and arrogance. There is no lack of kindness, and it increases good roots. It surpasses Dharma masters and does not abandon the masses. It pleases people to learn and protect the scriptures. The profound Dharma treasury benefits the Three Jewels. It has compassion for all sentient beings. It adorns all meanings and has such benefits. It is named the Inexhaustible Treasury; this Dharani phrase is not only protective but also capable of protecting. If there is someone who can recite it, they will obtain thirty-three fearless difficulties. Use this mantra, get up early in the morning, wash hands, rinse mouth, burn incense, prostrate, and recite it three times. Wherever you go, in speech and conversation, in all directions, impermanence will not prevail. People will respect and revere you, and those who see you will rejoice. Enemies will be subdued, and there will be such benefits.
