我今歸命佛菩薩 演彼相應大教王 略述觀音菩薩儀 能成所作利群品
爾時世尊。為欲利益諸眾生故。演說諸佛相應大教。佛言若阿阇梨及與行人。為欲修行菩提分法及種種成就者。當於觀自在菩薩法而修習之。若修此法先求靜處。依于儀軌專心不懈。修其先行令得精熟。然後依法作其觀想及誦吽字。擇地結界作法遣魔已。乃于彼處敷草而坐。時持誦人。將欲運心觀想賢聖。先須凈其三業。即誦凈三業真言曰。
唵(引)哥(引)野嚩(引)酤(半音)唧多(一句)嚩日啰(二合)莎婆(引)嚩(引)怛啰(二合)酤(引)㰠(呼郎切二)
誦此真言已。復說譬喻伽陀曰。
譬如清凈妙色蓮 雖生泥中不可染 如是眾生處煩惱 悉得清凈於三界
誦伽陀已。自想頂戴寶冠。內有無量壽佛。次於本心想出開敷白蓮華。于彼華上想有月輪。于月輪中想現oṃ 唵字。體如虛空唯真實大智。然後誦開慧真言曰。

我今歸命佛菩薩,演彼相應大教王,略述觀音菩薩儀,能成所作利群品。
爾時,世尊爲了利益一切眾生,演說諸佛相應的大教。佛說,如果阿阇梨(Acharya,導師)以及修行人,爲了修行菩提分法以及種種成就,應當修習觀自在菩薩(Avalokiteśvara)的法門。如果修習此法,首先要尋找安靜的地方,依照儀軌專心不懈地修習,使其先行法得到精熟。然後依法進行觀想,並誦持吽(hūṃ)字。選擇地點,結界,作法,驅遣邪魔之後,就在那個地方鋪上草蓆而坐。這時,持誦之人,將要用心觀想賢聖,首先必須清凈自己的身、口、意三業,即誦持清凈三業真言,如下:

誦持伽陀后,自己觀想頭頂戴著寶冠,寶冠內有無量壽佛(Amitāyus)。其次,在本心中觀想生出開放的白蓮花,在那蓮花上觀想有月輪,在月輪中觀想顯現oṃ 唵字,其體性如虛空一般,唯有真實的大智慧。然後誦持開慧真言,如下:

The Sutra of the Great King of All Buddhas' Embrace and Correspondence: Ritual of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Recitation, one volume
Translated by Dharma Master Fa Xian, Minister of Guanglu, Great Officer of Chaosan, and Tripiṭaka Master of the Western Heaven Translation Bureau, under Imperial Decree
I now take refuge in the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, expounding the Great King of Correspondence Teachings. Briefly describing the ritual of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, capable of accomplishing deeds and benefiting beings.
At that time, the World Honored One, for the sake of benefiting all sentient beings, expounded the Great Teaching corresponding to all Buddhas. The Buddha said, 'If an Acharya (teacher) and practitioners, desiring to cultivate the factors of enlightenment (Bodhi) and various attainments, should practice the Dharma of Avalokiteśvara (the Bodhisattva of Compassion). If practicing this Dharma, first seek a quiet place, rely on the ritual with focused and unremitting effort, cultivate the preliminary practices until proficient. Then, according to the Dharma, perform the visualization and recite the hūṃ syllable. Having chosen a place, established boundaries, performed the ritual, and dispelled demons, then spread grass and sit there. At this time, the reciter, intending to contemplate the sages, must first purify their three karmas (body, speech, and mind), and then recite the True Words for Purifying the Three Karmas, as follows:'
oṃ kā ya vā kucitta vajra svabhāva ātmako 'haṃ
Having recited this True Word, then speak the metaphorical Gatha (verse), as follows:
Like a pure and wondrous lotus, though born in mud, it is not defiled. Likewise, sentient beings dwelling in afflictions, all attain purity in the three realms.
Having recited the Gatha, visualize oneself wearing a jeweled crown, within which is Amitāyus (the Buddha of Infinite Life). Next, visualize a blooming white lotus arising from one's heart center. Upon that lotus, visualize a moon disc. Within the moon disc, visualize the syllable oṃ appearing, its essence like space, only true great wisdom. Then recite the Wisdom-Opening True Word, as follows:

【English Translation】 English version: (Invocation) Citta prati-vidhyāṃ karomi (one sentence) (Citta prati-vidhyāṃ karomi: I place my mind in awareness)
After reciting this mantra, visualize again the transformation of various treasures into an eight-petaled lotus flower. On that lotus, visualize a moon disc. Within the moon disc, the syllable hrīḥ appears, which is Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva himself. Seated in the lotus position, his body is red and he has two arms. On the left side of the Bodhisattva, visualize the White-Robed Bodhisattva, holding a lotus flower. Then, visualize the eight directions of virtuous sages. First, in the position of the eastern petal of the lotus, visualize Vairokini Bodhisattva, holding a red lotus flower. The Bodhisattva's mantra says:
Om Vairokini avalokaya svāhā (Om Vairokini avalokaya svāhā: Om, Vairokini, look down, svaha)
In the position of the southern petal of the lotus, visualize Tara Bodhisattva, holding a green lotus flower. The Bodhisattva's mantra says:

複次持誦之人。亦須常服五種大乘之藥。所謂。
冒地唧多羯哩布(二合)啰啰訖多(二合)贊捺那嚩日啰(二合)烏那哥等
若能常服如是之藥。及持誦不輟。速離老病苦增長壽命。變於色相見者愛敬。現世獲得成最上智。
複次所有息災增益敬愛降伏。乃至勾召除滅諸魔發

【English Translation】 English version: Padmaśrī Bodhisattva (Auspicious Lotus Bodhisattva), holding a white lotus flower. The Bodhisattva's mantra is: 'Oṃ Vajra Padmeśvara Dhara Padme Hūṃ' Next, in the southwest petal of the lotus, visualize Viśva Padma Bodhisattva (Universal Lotus Bodhisattva), holding a black lotus flower. The Bodhisattva's mantra is: 'Oṃ Viśva Padme Hrīḥ' Next, in the northwest petal of the lotus, visualize Viśva Vajra Bodhisattva (Universal Vajra Bodhisattva), holding a vajra staff. The Bodhisattva's mantra is: 'Oṃ Viśva Vajri Hūṃ' Next, in the center of the lotus, visualize Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva (The Bodhisattva Who Observes the Sounds of the World), manifesting a body of great and wondrous color. The mantra is: 'Oṃ Hrīṃ Padma Nṛtyeśvara Hūṃ' Like these great Bodhisattvas and subtle mantras, if the practitioner performs the visualization according to the Dharma and recites the mantras with focused concentration without retreating, this person will quickly attain Buddhahood in the future. Even if enjoying the pleasures of the five desires, one can perfect the ten pāramitās and the dhāraṇī gates, and quickly achieve the state of Pratyekabuddha, the ten stages of Bodhisattvas, and the Buddha's state of tranquility. Do not harbor doubts. Furthermore, the practitioner should also regularly take five kinds of Mahāyāna medicine, namely: Bodhi-citta (Bodhi mind), Karpūra (Camphor), Rakta (Saffron), Candana (Sandalwood), Vajra (Diamond), Udaka (Water), etc. If one can regularly take such medicine and continuously recite the mantras, one will quickly be free from the suffering of old age and sickness, increase lifespan, transform one's appearance so that those who see one will love and respect one, and attain supreme wisdom in this life. Furthermore, all activities such as pacifying disasters, increasing benefits, gaining love and respect, subduing enemies, and even summoning and eliminating demons, etc.
遣。冤惡禁法打惡之法。乃至飛空自在及諸三摩地等。若修觀自在法悉皆成就。
觀自在菩薩根本真言曰。
唵(引)紇陵(二合引)缽訥摩(二合)那哩帝(二合)濕嚩(二合)啰吽(引一)
複次若持誦人。常念此觀自在菩薩根本真言。日誦一百八遍。是人晝夜所作之罪悉皆銷滅。若日誦五百遍。能除一切病。若日誦一千遍得壽命增長。若誦二千遍得眾人恭敬。若持誦三千遍眾人愛敬增長富貴。若持誦四千遍遠離貧苦。若持誦五千遍能令一切冤家身心慌亂。若持誦六千遍能降諸冤家。若持誦七千遍能降四魔。若持誦八千遍能降諸天及天女。若持誦九千遍能降夜叉及夜叉女。若持誦一萬遍能降天龍及人。若持誦二萬遍諸隱身賢聖而作成就。若持誦三萬遍能滿一切愿。若持誦四萬遍當得騰空自在。若持誦五萬遍當得聖劍成就。若持誦六萬遍當得持明天。若持誦七萬遍得為世間主。若持誦八萬遍當得鐵輪王位。若持誦九萬遍當得金輪王位。若持誦一洛叉數當得菩薩位。若持誦十洛叉數當得自在滿十地位。若持誦五十洛叉數當證佛位。若持誦一俱胝數。當得具足極樂世界無量壽佛身口意等。利樂眾生。爾時世尊復說白衣菩薩真言曰。

【English Translation】 English version: The method to dispel enmity and prohibit evil deeds, the method to subdue evil people, and even the freedom of flying in the sky and various Samadhis (Samadhi, meditative absorption), etc., if one practices the Avalokiteśvara (Avalokiteśvara) method, all can be achieved.
The fundamental mantra (Mantra) of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva (Avalokiteśvara-bodhisattva) says:
Oṃ Hrīḥ Padma nṛtye īśvara Hūṃ
Furthermore, if the person who recites this mantra (Mantra) constantly recites this fundamental mantra (Mantra) of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva (Avalokiteśvara-bodhisattva) one hundred and eight times a day, all the sins committed by this person day and night will be eliminated. If one recites it five hundred times a day, one can eliminate all diseases. If one recites it one thousand times a day, one will gain longevity. If one recites it two thousand times, one will be respected by all. If one recites it three thousand times, one will be loved and respected by all, and one's wealth and honor will increase. If one recites it four thousand times, one will be free from poverty and suffering. If one recites it five thousand times, one can cause all enemies to be mentally and physically disturbed. If one recites it six thousand times, one can subdue all enemies. If one recites it seven thousand times, one can subdue the four Maras. If one recites it eight thousand times, one can subdue the gods and goddesses. If one recites it nine thousand times, one can subdue the Yakshas (Yaksa) and Yakshinis. If one recites it ten thousand times, one can subdue the Nagas (Nāga) and humans. If one recites it twenty thousand times, all the hidden sages will come to help achieve success. If one recites it thirty thousand times, one can fulfill all wishes. If one recites it forty thousand times, one will attain the freedom to fly in the sky. If one recites it fifty thousand times, one will attain the accomplishment of the sacred sword. If one recites it sixty thousand times, one will become a Vidyadhara. If one recites it seventy thousand times, one will become the lord of the world. If one recites it eighty thousand times, one will attain the position of a Chakravartin with an iron wheel. If one recites it ninety thousand times, one will attain the position of a Chakravartin with a golden wheel. If one recites it one Laksha (Laksha, hundred thousand) times, one will attain the position of a Bodhisattva (Bodhisattva). If one recites it ten Laksha (Laksha, hundred thousand) times, one will attain freedom and fulfill the ten Bhumis. If one recites it fifty Laksha (Laksha, hundred thousand) times, one will attain Buddhahood. If one recites it one Koti (Koti, ten million) times, one will fully possess the body, speech, and mind of Amitābha Buddha (Amitābha) in the Sukhavati (Sukhāvatī) Pure Land, benefiting and bringing happiness to all beings. At that time, the Bhagavan (Bhagavan) again spoke the mantra (Mantra) of the White-Robed Bodhisattva (Pāṇḍaravāsinī):
Oṃ Pāṇḍara-vā sini vardani Hūṃ
此白衣菩薩微妙真言。若人常能持誦。所有一切罪業悉皆消滅。若能依法專注。持誦滿一七日。所有國城之內。一切人民皆悉奉重。若持誦一月獲大富貴。如是持誦至一洛叉數。當得與菩薩威力無異。
複次說尾路吉你菩薩真言曰。
唵(引)尾路吉你(一)阿嚩路哥野娑嚩(二合引)賀(引二)
此菩薩微妙真言。若人依法持誦一萬遍。當得聖劍成就。若持誦人有所求事。當取齒木加持二十一遍。揩齒而臥。所求之事夢中皆說。凡所說事悉皆真實。
複次說多羅菩薩真言曰。
唵(引)多(引)哩(引一)咄多(引)哩(引二)咄哩(引)娑嚩(二合引)賀(引三)

【English Translation】 English version This is the subtle mantra of White-Robed Bodhisattva (Báiyī Púsà). If a person can constantly recite it, all sins will be eradicated. If one can concentrate and recite it for a full seven days, all the people within the country and city will respect you. If one recites it for a month, one will obtain great wealth and nobility. If one recites it up to one 'laksha' (one hundred thousand) times, one will obtain power no different from that of the Bodhisattva. If there is something sought, it will surely be achieved, and one will experience happiness. After the end of life, one should be reborn in the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Furthermore, the person who recites should generate Bodhicitta (the mind of enlightenment) and take the five sacred medicines, namely Maharaga, Kukkubha, Raktacandana, and other sacred medicines. Recite according to the Avalokiteśvara (the Bodhisattva of compassion) ritual and make offerings to the wise and holy. Even if this person does not make a Buddha image, he can still obtain the supreme correspondence, achieve the position of Vajrasattva (the diamond being) Bodhisattva, and quickly attain Bodhi (enlightenment). 【English Translation】 English version: Holding a crystal rosary. In the southwest petal position, depict the Tail-speaking Padma (Lotus) Bodhisattva. The body is the color of the autumn moon. The hands hold a black lotus and the method of holding scriptures. In the northwest petal position, depict the Tail-speaking Vajra (Diamond) Bodhisattva. The body is of various colors. The hands hold a lotus. Next, outside the petals, in the four corners, depict the four attendant Bodhisattvas of playfulness, garlands, song, and dance. Next, in the positions of the four gates, contemplate the four subtle syllables jaḥ 𠺁hūṃ vaṃ hoḥ, which transform into the four Bodhisattvas of hook, rope, chain, and bell, guarding the four gates.

複次阿阇梨為作慶贊。及與傳授根本微妙真言已。彼持誦人以弟子禮。當以種種珍寶金銀財物。乃至國城及與身命。皆可奉上阿阇梨以為答謝。何以故為如上法難得值遇。何況傳授。是故虔心求阿阇梨愿施歡喜。又復此法不得傳授容易之人。是人心不恭虔恐招惡報。

【English Translation】 English version: For sentient beings who are difficult to liberate, Avalokiteśvara (觀世音菩薩) manifests as a Bodhisattva to save them.
Furthermore, the method of drawing images will be explained. As before, use white silk to draw Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva (觀自在菩薩), appearing in various colors within a moon disc. He has thirteen heads, each wearing a jeweled crown containing Amitāyus Buddha (無量壽佛). The face in the front is perfectly round. The thirteenth face is green, appearing as a horse's head. He has a hundred arms, holding various karma implements (羯磨器仗) in his hands. Alternatively, one can draw a hundred heads and a thousand arms, also holding various karma implements in his hands. For all such images, the practitioner should be drawn on the right side, kneeling respectfully, holding an argha bowl (閼伽缽) and incense burner, and so on.
For the above-mentioned images, the practitioner can choose any one of them to draw according to their preference. For each one, the most supreme and excellent mind must be generated. After the image is drawn, prepare various exquisite incense, flowers, food, and all kinds of offerings, and arrange them in front of the image. Invite the ācārya (阿阇梨, teacher) to perform the celebratory praise according to the Dharma. Then, the practitioner should purify themselves and sit calmly in front of the image, focusing their mind and reciting the fundamental and subtle mantra (mūla-mantra) of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva. If one is free from all doubts, focused and diligent, everything one does will surely be accomplished.
Furthermore, after the ācārya performs the celebratory praise and transmits the fundamental and subtle mantra, the practitioner, with the respect of a disciple, should offer various treasures, gold, silver, wealth, even the country and city, and one's own life, to the ācārya as gratitude. Why? Because such a Dharma is rare to encounter, let alone to receive transmission. Therefore, one should sincerely request the ācārya, hoping that he will bestow joy. Moreover, this Dharma should not be easily transmitted to frivolous people. If that person's mind is not respectful and devout, it is feared that they will incur bad karma.
