English version The Bodhisattva is named Avalokiteshvara (Guanshiyin), his spiritual powers are unobstructed and immeasurable. He can shake mountains, drain seas, and vibrate the earth, compassionately regarding all beings as one. Remembering his name brings unfailing blessings, therefore we should constantly invoke him. Now, with utmost sincerity, I remember his virtues, and with reverence, I praise him. The Bodhisattva's wisdom is as deep as the sea, his skillful means are unfathomable. All the Devas (gods), Asuras (demi-gods or demons), Mahoragas (great serpent deities), and human beings, Use subtle and pure verses to praise him through countless kalpas (eons) without weariness. Now I proclaim a spring-like eulogy, describing a small portion of his merits. Among the world's most dignified forms and colors, no Deva surpasses Brahma (the creator god). How much more so is the original form of the Holy Avalokiteshvara, compared to whom Brahma is less than one ten-millionth part. The Venerable One's headdress is extremely solemn and beautiful, adorned with Mandalas (circular diagrams representing the cosmos) and golden flowers. Like a beautiful rainbow for adornment, and like a crescent moon reflecting on the King of Mountains. Also like Mount Sumeru (the cosmic mountain) made of various treasures, the Venerable One's form is extremely subtle. Like a gentle rain enveloping a precious mountain, the colorful hide of an Eni deer covers his shoulders. The light shines brightly and universally, towering like a golden mountain. Also like a full moon in the void, and like the color of a Campaka flower. Surpassing the body of Maheshvara (Shiva), who merely uses a white dragon as a necklace. His right hand holds a golden lotus flower, with a Beryl (a precious gemstone) stalk. Opening with compassion, extremely fragrant and pure, causing all wise beings to generate love and joy. The supreme and pure flower held by the Venerable One's hand is adorned with extraordinary beauty and radiance. Like moonlight shining on the summit of Mount Sumeru, the Holy One is situated on a lotus throne. This is due to the Venerable One's blessings, with utmost sincerity and deep reverence, I take refuge and pay homage to the grantor of wishes, who is worshipped and praised by the Devas. Now, with a pure heart, I take refuge and pay homage, Venerable One.

【English Translation】 English version Those spiral hair knots are the color of dark bees, The Muni's (an honorific title for Shakyamuni Buddha) wondrous image is within them, light shining and adorning his venerable head. Like burning coral, like flowing lightning, Also like orpiment illuminating a black mountain. Adorning the Great Sage's body from top to bottom, I dare to use words to praise him. On all four sides are raging elephants with sharp teeth, If a person is among them, they will be harmed. If that person single-mindedly recites the Bodhisattva's name, They can leave behind suffering and be without fear. Violent dragons roar, emitting poisonous smoke, Baring their fangs, angry, with fierce expressions, About to devour that person, very frightening, Remembering Avalokiteshvara (Guanyin) will bring liberation. The ocean tide surges, the wind and waves make great sounds, Makara (a sea monster) and giant fish are all shaken. If a person's boat breaks and they mistakenly fall into the sea, Reciting Avalokiteshvara's name will bring peace. In high mountains, dangerous valleys, and cliffs, Rushing rivers crash against rocks, everywhere is difficult and dangerous. If a person falls into them without rescue, Mindfully reciting Avalokiteshvara will reach the other shore. Fierce flames, violent winds rise, Spreading and burning houses, burning people, Sincerely reciting that treasure of merit (Avalokiteshvara), The fire will not cause harm at that time. If a person is bound in prison, Wearing shackles and instruments of torture, Sincerely reciting Avalokiteshvara's name, That person will be liberated immediately. If a person falls into a great fire pit, Single-mindedly reciting the name of Avalokiteshvara, That person will eliminate heat and obtain purity, Just like a lotus flower blooming in a pond. If a person passes through a large forest, Suddenly encountering thunder, lightning, and a sudden storm, Lightning is about to burn, extremely dangerous, Reciting Avalokiteshvara will avoid disaster. If a person encounters a fierce lion, Its teeth and claws sharp as knives, Glaring and roaring, coming to eat people, Reciting Avalokiteshvara will avoid harm. Evil thieves, Turks, Mlecchas (border peoples), Fierce and without compassion, like Rakshasas (demons), And also binding people with iron chains, Reciting Avalokiteshvara's name will bring liberation. In deep mountains and dangerous swamps, Robbers lie in wait to plunder, Reciting Avalokiteshvara's name, praying for rescue, That person will be relieved, without worry or suffering. Someone uses curses and slander to plot harm, Always using malicious intentions to seek opportunities. Because he constantly recites Avalokiteshvara's name, That person ultimately cannot cause harm. In battle, the flags and drums of both sides are equal,

【English Translation】 English version When blades and arrows clash in fierce battle, and people compete to inflict mortal wounds, if at this time one's mind remembers and recites the name of Avalokiteśvara (觀音菩薩), the Bodhisattva will bestow fearlessness and protection. If powerful evil demons seize people, and Kumbhandas (鳩槃荼, a type of demon) and others drink human essence, if one can focus their mind on Avalokiteśvara, the Bodhisattva will protect that person and eliminate epidemics and disasters. Whether it be demon-caused illnesses, feverish illnesses, abdominal distension, or infantile malnutrition, jaundice, heart pain, leprosy, epilepsy, cholera, or weakness due to blood deficiency and various other ailments, if one is entangled by various evil karmas, by reciting the name of Avalokiteśvara and focusing the mind, all illnesses can be eliminated and healed. If there are hungry ghosts with bellies as large as mountains, their lips parched and dry, tormented by hunger and thirst, Avalokiteśvara, seeing them, will generate compassion and gradually provide them with sufficient food and drink. Some hungry ghosts suffer from the oppression of cold and freezing temperatures, their bodies and flesh are destroyed, raising their hands in extreme pain, Avalokiteśvara will use supernatural powers and expedient means to make them feel warm and comfortable. If Garuda (金翅鳥) uses its beak and claws to strike and seize various dragons in the water and on land, if these dragons single-mindedly recite the name of Avalokiteśvara, they will immediately be freed from suffering and attain peace and happiness. If someone desires to obtain superior rewards, such as elephants, horses, carriages, and servants, as well as clothing, food, and various treasures, by constantly reciting the name of Avalokiteśvara, their wishes will be fulfilled and naturally obtained. If someone desires to obtain the art of longevity, to freely walk in the clouds, by constantly reciting the name of Avalokiteśvara, they will obtain magical mantras and elixirs. I see the image of Avalokiteśvara in the wall painting, carefully observing the Bodhisattva's various forms and virtues, as well as the Bodhisattva's vast supernatural powers and unhindered freedom, therefore, I sincerely praise. Avalokiteśvara possesses all virtues, being the foremost among all Bodhisattvas, possessing boundless skillful means and great expediency, manifesting a pure and wonderful form, free from all discriminations of existence and non-existence, benefiting immeasurable beings like the void. Therefore, I praise Avalokiteśvara with these merits, wishing to attain the all-knowing wisdom of the Tathagata (如來). With this praise of the merits of Avalokiteśvara (觀世音菩薩), may we repay the kindness above. May the King, the Holy Spirit, and His Majesty the Emperor auspiciously turn the Dharma wheel, may their virtue, strength, and lifespan be endless, may their wisdom and karmic rewards be inconceivable, may they forever rule Jambudvipa (閻浮提), reside in Cinastan (震旦, ancient name for China) for a long time, protect the Triple Gem (三寶), and benefit all beings, may all sentient beings receive the blessings of the Holy One. Praise completed.
