爾時佛告阿難言。此觀世音菩薩所說廣大圓滿無礙大悲心陀羅尼神咒者。真實不虛。若有人等所求愿。而欲請求觀世音自在菩薩摩訶薩者。取拙具羅香。咒三七遍燒。時觀世音菩薩必即來到(拙具羅香者安悉香是也)。
若有人等橫鬼所著。取弭哩吒那燒作灰。和凈泥捻作橫鬼形。于千眼像前。取鑌鐵刀子。咒一百八遍。段段切斷為一百八遍。即稱彼名即差永差還復不著(弭哩吒那貓兒頭骨是也)。
若有人等蠱毒所害者。取劫布羅香以和拙具羅香。各等分以井花水一斗和大上。煮取半升去滓取汁。于千眼像前咒一百遍咒即差(劫布羅香者龍腦香是也)。
若有人等。為惡毒蛇蝎所螫者。乾薑大小末咒一七遍著瘡上。立即除愈。
若有人等邪惡怨敵以邪辭相謨傷害者。取凈土或面或蠟舍。作彼惡人形相。于千眼像前。取鑌鐵刀子。咒一百八遍。一咒一截。一稱其名。燒盡一百八段。彼人即歡喜修身厚重相愛恭敬。彼是無怨。
若有人等患眼精壞者。若有清盲暗者。若白暈赤瞙無光明者。取呵

爾時,佛告訴阿難說:『這觀世音菩薩所說的廣大圓滿無礙大悲心陀羅尼神咒,真實不虛。如果有人有所求愿,想要祈求觀世音自在菩薩摩訶薩,就取拙具羅香(拙具羅香指的是安息香),唸咒三七遍並焚燒。這時觀世音菩薩必定立即來到。』
如果有人被橫死的鬼所纏,就取弭哩吒那(弭哩吒那指的是貓兒頭骨)燒成灰,和凈泥捏成橫死鬼的形狀,在千眼像前,取鑌鐵刀子,唸咒一百零八遍,一段一段地切斷,共切一百零八遍,每次切斷時都稱念那鬼的名字,這樣就能立即痊癒,永遠不再被纏上。
如果有人被蠱毒所害,就取劫布羅香(劫布羅香指的是龍腦香)與拙具羅香混合,各取等量,用一斗井花水一起煮,煮至半升後去除雜質取汁,在千眼像前唸咒一百遍,這樣就能立即痊癒。
如果有人被惡毒的蛇或蝎子蜇傷,就將乾薑研磨成細末,唸咒七遍后塗在傷口上,立即就能痊癒。
如果有人被邪惡的怨敵用惡毒的言語誹謗傷害,就取凈土、面或蠟,做成那惡人的形狀,在千眼像前,取鑌鐵刀子,唸咒一百零八遍,每念一遍咒就切一刀,每切一刀就稱念那人的名字,燒盡一百零八段,那人就會歡喜,修身養性,變得厚道,互相愛戴恭敬,不再有怨恨。
如果有人患有眼疾,眼精損壞,或者有青盲、眼暗,或者有白暈、赤瞙,眼睛沒有光明的,就取呵

The Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Sutra on Curing Diseases and Compounding Medicines

At that time, the Buddha told Ānanda, 'This Great Compassion Heart Dhāraṇī mantra, spoken by Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, is true and not false. If someone has a wish and wants to pray to Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Mahāsattva, take Jue Ju Luo incense (Jue Ju Luo incense refers to benzoin), chant the mantra twenty-one times and burn it. Then Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva will surely come immediately.'
If someone is possessed by a vengeful ghost, take Mi Li Zha Na (Mi Li Zha Na refers to a cat's skull), burn it to ashes, mix it with clean mud, and mold it into the shape of a vengeful ghost. In front of the Thousand-Eyed Image, take a fine iron knife, chant the mantra one hundred and eight times, cutting it piece by piece, one hundred and eight times in total. Each time you cut, recite the name of the ghost. This will immediately cure the person, and they will never be possessed again.
If someone is harmed by Gu poison, take Jie Bu Luo incense (Jie Bu Luo incense refers to borneol) and mix it with Jue Ju Luo incense, taking equal parts of each. Boil them together with one dou of well flower water until only half a sheng remains. Remove the dregs and take the juice. In front of the Thousand-Eyed Image, chant the mantra one hundred times, and this will immediately cure the person.
If someone is stung by a venomous snake or scorpion, grind dried ginger into a fine powder, chant the mantra seven times, and apply it to the wound. This will immediately cure the person.
If someone is slandered and harmed by an evil enemy with malicious words, take clean soil, flour, or wax, and make a figure of that evil person. In front of the Thousand-Eyed Image, take a fine iron knife, chant the mantra one hundred and eight times, cutting once for each recitation, and reciting the person's name each time you cut. Burn all one hundred and eight pieces. That person will then be happy, cultivate themselves, become kind, and love and respect each other, and there will be no more resentment.

若有人等患惡痓入心悶絕欲死者。取桃膠一丸。大小亦如桃實大。以清水一升和煎。取半升咒七遍。頓服盡即差。其藥莫令婦人煮。須凈護造也。夫諸藥造不須人無驗。
若有人等患傳尸鬼氣伏連病者。取拙具羅香。咒三七遍。燒熏鼻孔中。又取七丸如菟失。大咒二七遍吞即差。慎酒肉五辛及惡罵。又取摩那屎羅和白芥子。印成鹽咒三七遍。于病者床下燒。其作病鬼身即壁裂也。鬼逆走不敢住也(摩那屎羅者雄黃是也。白者凈也。印成鹽美是也)。
若有人等患一邊偏風。耳鼻不通手腳不便者。取胡麻油內木香煎。咒三七遍。摩拭身上永得除差。又取純牛蘇。咒三七遍。摩身上差好。若有婦人患產難者。取胡麻油。咒

如果有人患了傳尸鬼氣伏連病,可以取拙具羅香(一種香料),持咒二十一遍,焚燒后熏鼻孔。再取七丸藥,大小如菟絲子,持咒十四遍后吞服,病就會痊癒。期間要禁酒肉、五辛和惡語謾罵。還可以取摩那屎羅(雄黃)和白芥子,做成鹽印,持咒二十一遍,在病人床下焚燒,作祟的鬼就會撞破墻壁逃走,不敢停留(摩那屎羅指的是雄黃,白指的是純凈,印成鹽表示美好)。

【English Translation】 English version: 'Lile guo an mole guo pi xile guo' (names of three fruits). Take one of each, crush them, filter with oil, and grind carefully. Be sure to keep it clean during preparation. Do not let newborn women or dogs see it. Recite the Buddha's name in your mouth, and mix it with white honey or human breast milk and apply it to the eyes. The human breast milk must be from the mother of a male baby. If it is from the mother of a female baby, the effect of the medicine will be reduced. After the medicine is prepared, you must chant the mantra 1008 times in front of the Thousand-Eyed Image, and then apply it to the eyes for seven consecutive days. During this period, stay in a deep room, avoid wind, and abstain from meat, pungent spices, and unclean things, so that the eyes can be restored to brightness.
If someone is suffering from a disease caused by evil spirits, you can take the fur of tigers, leopards, jackals, and wolves, chant the mantra twenty-one times, and put it on the patient's body, and the disease will be cured. Among them, lion skin is the most effective.
If someone is bitten by a snake, take the earwax (jie ning) of the person who was bitten, chant the mantra twenty-one times, and apply it to the wound, and the disease will be cured (jie ning refers to the earwax formed in the ear canal).
If someone is suffering from malignant spasm, evil qi enters the heart, and they are unconscious and dying, you can take a pill of peach gum, the size of a peach, mix it with one liter of clean water and boil it, take half a liter, chant the mantra seven times, and take it all at once, and the disease will be cured. Do not let women participate in decocting the medicine, and be sure to keep it clean. If you do not pay attention to these when making the medicine, it will not be effective.
If someone is suffering from the disease of 'chuan shi gui qi fu lian' (a type of infectious disease caused by ghosts), you can take 'zhuo ju luo xiang' (a kind of incense), chant the mantra twenty-one times, and burn it to fumigate the nostrils. Then take seven pills of medicine, the size of dodder seeds, chant the mantra fourteen times and swallow them, and the disease will be cured. During this period, abstain from alcohol, meat, pungent spices, and abusive language. You can also take 'mo na shi luo' (realgar) and white mustard seeds, make them into salt seals, chant the mantra twenty-one times, and burn them under the patient's bed. The ghost causing the trouble will break through the wall and run away, and dare not stay (mo na shi luo refers to realgar, white refers to purity, and making it into salt indicates beauty).
If someone is suffering from hemiplegia, the ears and nose are blocked, and the hands and feet are inconvenient, you can take sesame oil, add costus root and fry it, chant the mantra twenty-one times, and apply it to the body, and the disease will be cured. You can also take pure cow ghee, chant the mantra twenty-one times, and apply it to the body, and the disease will improve. If a woman has a difficult labor, you can take sesame oil, chant the mantra...
三七遍。摩產婦臍中及玉門中。若令口吞易生。若有女人懷妊死腹中者。取阿婆末唎草一大兩。以水二升和煮絞去滓。取一升汁。咒三七遍。服即出一無苦痛。若不出胎衣者。亦服此藥即出差(阿婆末唎草牛膝草是也)。

【English Translation】 English version Chant (the mantra) twenty-one times. Apply (the mantra) to the navel and Yoni (a euphemism for the female reproductive organ) of the woman in labor. If she swallows it, she will give birth easily. If a woman dies pregnant in the womb, take one 'da liang' of Apamarga (Achyranthes aspera, Prickly Chaff Flower). Mix it with two 'sheng' of water, boil and strain out the dregs. Take one 'sheng' of the juice. After chanting (the mantra) twenty-one times, take it and she will give birth without pain. If the placenta does not come out, take this medicine and it will come out and she will recover (Apamarga is Achyranthes aspera). If someone suddenly suffers from unbearable heart pain, and it is thought to be caused by corpse-related illness (a disease caused by a corpse), take a pill of Turushka (Olibanum) the size of a jujube pit, chant (the mantra) twenty-one times. Chew and swallow it, regardless of the amount, and vomiting will bring recovery. Avoid the five pungent spices (garlic, scallions, chives, shallots, asafoetida), alcohol, meat, oily foods, unclean things, and sexual activity (Turushka is Olibanum). If someone has a large burn, take hot Gomaya (cow dung), chant (the mantra) fourteen times, and apply it to the wound for recovery (Gomaya is black cow dung). If someone suffers from heart pain caused by roundworms, take half a 'sheng' of Gorumatra (white horse dung), chant (the mantra) twenty-one times, and take it for recovery. If the condition is severe, take one 'sheng', and the worms will come out like ropes, and the illness will be cured (Gorumatra is white horse dung). If someone suffers from sores on the lower body, take the leaves of water caltrop, crush and squeeze out the juice, chant (the mantra) twenty-one times, and apply it to the eyes at night before sleeping for recovery. If needed, use the urine of a white mare, chant (the mantra) twenty-one times, and the effect will be the same as above (Gorut-khara is fresh donkey dung). If someone suffers from abdominal pain, take well water and two pieces of pressed salt, chant (the mantra) twenty-one times, and take half a 'sheng' for recovery. If someone suffers from red eyes, or has pterygium in the eyes, or has cataracts, take Shami leaves (Prosopis cineraria, Mesquite), crush and squeeze out the juice, chant (the mantra) seven times, soak a coin in the juice overnight, and chant (the mantra) seven more times, then apply it to the eyes for recovery (Shami leaves are Lycium chinense leaves). If someone is afraid of the night, feels uneasy, fears going out, or is frightened, make a rope from white thread, chant (the mantra) twenty-one times, tie twenty-one knots, and tie it around the neck to remove the fear. It not only removes fear but also brings blessings, eliminates sins, and prolongs life.

若有人身被杻械枷鎖者。取白領失。咒一百八遍。涂于手上。用摩杻械枷鎖者。即自解脫。
若有夫婦不和狀如水火者。取鴛鴦尾。于大悲心像前咒一千八遍。上帶之。彼是即終身歡喜相愛敬。
若有人等被蟲食田苗及五果子者。取凈灰砂。咒一千八遍。散田四邊。蟲退散也。若有諸果樹兼咒水一百八遍。乃至一千八遍。灑著樹上。蟲不敢食害果也。
若有人等逢鬼口禁吐沫不知人色應急死者。取虎魄玉細屑。咒一百八遍。以酒令服。又取骨嚕萬異絞汁。咒二七遍令服。又

如果有人身被枷鎖束縛,可以取白領失(Bairingo,一種草),唸咒一百零八遍,塗在手上,用手摩擦枷鎖,就能自行解脫。
如果夫婦不和,關係如同水火,可以取鴛鴦尾,在大悲觀音像前唸咒一千零八遍,佩戴在身上,他們就會終身歡喜相愛敬重。

If someone encounters calamities arising within their household, take pomegranate branches, etc., and cut them into one thousand pieces. Smear both ends with ghee, curd, and honey. Recite a mantra and burn one piece, repeating this one thousand and eight times. All calamities and afflictions will be completely eradicated. This must be done before the image of the Thousand-Eyed One (Sahasra-bhuja-arya-avalokitesvara).
If you take white sweet flag (Acorus calamus) and recite a mantra one hundred and eight times, then tie it to your right arm, you will be victorious in all discussions and debates wherever you are heard.
If you take Shamipatra (a type of leaf), or cut the branches into small pieces, and smear both ends with genuine cow ghee, white honey, and cow curd, recite a mantra and burn one piece, repeating this one thousand and eight times, in three separate sessions each day, one hundred times per session, for seven full days, the mantra practitioner will naturally awaken to penetrating wisdom.
If there is a practitioner who wishes to subdue powerful ghosts and spirits, take Arishtaka (soapberry seeds), recite a mantra twenty-one times, and burn it in the fire, also adding ghee, curd, and honey. This must be done before the image of the compassionate one (Avalokitesvara) (Arishtaka is soapberry seeds).
If you take one 'liang' (approximately 50 grams) of Gorochana (ox gallstone), place it in a crystal bottle, and set it before the image of the Great Compassionate One (Mahakarunika Avalokitesvara), recite a mantra one thousand and eight times, and apply it to the body and forehead, all gods, dragons, ghosts, spirits, humans, and non-humans will be delighted (Gorochana is ox gallstone).
If someone is bound by fetters, shackles, and yokes, take Bairingo (a type of grass), recite a mantra one hundred and eight times, and apply it to the hands. Use the hands to rub the fetters, shackles, and yokes, and they will be released on their own.
If a husband and wife are not harmonious, and their relationship is like water and fire, take the tail feathers of mandarin ducks, and recite a mantra one thousand and eight times before the image of the Great Compassionate Mind (Mahakarunika Avalokitesvara), and wear them. They will then be happy, loving, and respectful of each other for life.
If the crops in someone's fields or their five types of fruit are being eaten by insects, take clean ash and sand, recite a mantra one thousand and eight times, and scatter it around the four sides of the field. Take one 'liang' (liǎng, a unit of weight) of 'Gualou' root (kuò lóu gēn, Trichosanthis Radix). Boil it with three 'sheng' (shēng, a unit of volume) of clear water, then squeeze out half of the juice. Chant a mantra twenty-one times or one hundred and eight times. Taking it all at once will bring recovery. If a pregnant woman suddenly falls ill, boil five 'sheng' of small red beans and three 'sheng' of fermented soybeans. Boil them with one 'dou' of clear water, and extract three 'sheng' of the juice. Chant a mantra one hundred and eight times, and divide it into two doses. This will bring recovery from the illness, and ensure a safe and peaceful childbirth. If a child develops sores on the head, take 'Qiumomo' horn gills (qú mó mó jiǎo sāi, medicine name), burn them into powder, and mix with pig lard. If a Bhiksu (bǐ qiū), Bhiksuni (bǐ qiū ní), Upasaka (yōu pó sāi), Upasika (yōu pó yí), good men, or good women are able to uphold these healing methods and relieve the suffering of sentient beings, know that they are my manifestations. Because of their great compassion in saving sentient beings, I will surely come to their aid and cause their practices to have extraordinary effects. These people who uphold the Great Compassion Dharani (dà bēi xīn suí xīn zì zài tuó luó ní) and its miraculous verses, which can save the world from suffering, are no different from me; they are my very body.' If there are men and women of pure faith who are able to uphold this Deliverance from Suffering Dharani (jiù kǔ tuó luó ní zhòu)
。持世翳法。雖療諸病。以慈心故。必以至心應咒一百八遍。觀音力故無不著者。若有眾生能持我法。其人若在命終時。我急迎來。以無邊樂乘寶雲車。速令往生安樂世界。蓮華化產生佛不久。
爾時釋迦牟尼佛贊觀世音菩薩言。善哉善哉大士。如是如是如汝所說。若有善士善女等。以一分藥施疾病者。現在得福滅罪。于當來世福報無盡。生生世世受無病身受諸快樂。天上人中受諸勝利。天上人中壽命無量。得道不久。

這時,法會中的大眾,包括菩薩摩訶薩(Bodhisattva-mahāsattva)等、梵天(Brahmā)、帝釋天(Indra)、四大天王(Four Heavenly Kings)、天龍(Nāga)、夜叉(Yakṣa)、諸神鬼王、人和非人等,聽聞佛所說,都非常歡喜,信受奉行,頂禮膜拜,迴向功德。
《千手千眼觀世音菩薩療病合藥經》
【English Translation】 English version: The Dhāraṇī of Holding the World (a healing method), although it can cure all diseases, must, because of compassion, be recited with utmost sincerity one hundred and eight times. By the power of Avalokiteśvara (Guānshìyīn), there is nothing that is not effective. If sentient beings can uphold my Dharma, when that person is about to die, I will quickly come to greet them with a treasure cloud chariot of boundless joy, swiftly causing them to be reborn in the Land of Bliss (Sukhāvatī), to be born from a lotus flower, and Buddhahood will not be far off.
At that time, Śākyamuni Buddha praised Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, saying: 'Excellent! Excellent! Great Being (a respectful term for Bodhisattva). It is so, just as you have said. If there are good men and good women who give even a small portion of medicine to those who are sick, they will receive blessings and eliminate sins in the present, and in the future, their blessings will be endless. In life after life, they will have a body free from disease, enjoy all kinds of happiness, and experience all kinds of victories in the heavens and among humans. Their lifespan in the heavens and among humans will be immeasurable, and attaining the Way will not be far off.'
At that time, the great assembly, including Bodhisattva-mahāsattvas, Brahmā, Indra, the Four Heavenly Kings, Nāgas, Yakṣas, all the gods, ghost kings, humans, non-humans, and others, hearing what the Buddha said, were all very happy, accepted it with faith, bowed in reverence, and dedicated the merit to practice.
