At that time, Bhagavan (Bhagavan) dwelt in the unobstructed great compassionate heart Dharani (Dharani), the Samadhi (Samadhi) of self-mastery power, expounding on the Arya (Arya), the great Mandala (Mandala) aspects, the dignified forms and Dharma of the Five Classes of Deities. If you wish to know the mudras of the deities in this ocean assembly, you should first know the finger gestures; the lotus joined palms, the lotus is principle, and where there is principle, there must be wisdom. Therefore, with the left and right hands, it is called principle and wisdom. Because the left hand is tranquil, it is called the Womb Treasury Sea of Principle. The right hand accomplishes all things, so it is called the Vajra Sea of Wisdom. The five fingers of the left hand are the five wisdoms of the Womb Treasury Sea. The five fingers of the right hand are the five wisdoms of the Vajra Sea. The left hand is meditation, the right hand is wisdom; the ten fingers are the ten perfections. Or they are called the ten Dharma realms, or the ten Suchnesses. Contracted, they gather into one; opened, they have numerous names. The left little finger is Dana (giving), the ring finger is Sila (precepts). The left middle finger is Ksanti (patience), the left index finger is Virya (diligence). From the center of this lotus platform, a great moon disc appears, Within it is the image of the principal deity, named Thousand-Handed Thousand-Eyed (Qianshou Qianyan, i.e., Avalokiteśvara with a thousand hands and a thousand eyes), Its wondrous color transcends the three realms, and its golden light shines brightly. Joining the middle, index, and thumb fingers, wearing a robe of blessed fields, golden light shines brightly, with a jeweled horse as a seat.
Western Amitabha Buddha (Amitābha Buddha).
The body appears reddish-golden in color, forming the samadhi mudra (samādhi mudrā), eyes slightly open looking downwards, wearing a red radiant kasaya. To the southeast is Samantabhadra Bodhisattva (普賢菩薩).
Adorned with a wondrous hair-knot crown on the head, the body is white-fleshed. Showing a face of great compassion and mindfulness, the left hand is in meditation, with a hook on the lotus. The right hand shows wisdom, holding a fist on the knee, adorned with hundreds of thousands of necklaces. Garlands of pearls and celestial robes, all of wondrous jewel colors. To the northwest is Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva (觀世音菩薩).

The left hand in the meditation mudra rests on the knee, the right hand in the wisdom mudra gestures teaching. The body emits light like a conch shell (頗胝商佉, Sphatika shankha), residing upon a lotus (頗頭摩花, Padma).

Next, the sage Bhrigu (pílì qú xiān).
With a body of red flesh color, holding a sage's staff with meditation and wisdom, the body radiating a brilliant light, dwelling within fierce flames.
Guanyin (Guānyīn) at the west side of the south gate.

Next is Chengjiu Xian (Accomplished Immortal).

Qing Guanyin (Inviting Avalokiteśvara) in the east of the north gate.
Wearing a great treasure crown on the head, the body's appearance is yellowish-white. The left hand in meditation, holding a jūnchí (water bottle), the right hand of wisdom, bestowing fearlessness. Adorning the body with hundreds of thousands of necklaces, as described above.
Next is Bao Gongjian Wei Nuo Yejia (Bow and Arrow-Holding Vināyaka).
