如是我聞。一時薄伽梵。住室羅筏竹筍道場。與大苾芻眾千二百五十人俱。菩薩摩訶薩無量無數。慈氏菩薩而為上首。復有無量苾芻苾芻尼鄔波索迦鄔波斯迦。及諸天龍藥叉犍達縛阿素洛揭路茶緊捺洛莫呼洛伽鳩畔茶畢舍遮人非人等。大眾圍繞供養恭敬。尊重讚歎而為說法。
爾時觀自在菩薩摩訶薩。與無量俱胝那庾多百千持咒神仙。前後圍繞來詣佛所。到已頂禮世尊雙足。右繞三匝退坐一面。白佛言世尊。我有神咒心名十一面。具大威力。十一俱胝諸佛所說。我今說之。欲利益安樂一切有情。除一切病故滅一切惡故。為止一切不吉祥故。為卻一切惡夢想故。為遮一切非時死故。欲令諸噁心者得調凈故。有憂苦者得安樂故。有怨對者得和解故。魔鬼障礙皆消滅故。心所愿求皆稱遂故。世尊我不見世間若天若魔若梵若沙門若婆羅門等。以此神咒防護其身。受持讀誦書寫流佈。而為一切災橫魔障。刀杖毒藥厭禱咒術所能害者。我亦不見以此神咒隨所住處。若遠若近結作界已。有能越之
【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本 《十一面神咒心經》 大唐三藏法師玄奘奉詔譯 如是我聞。一時,薄伽梵(Bhagavan,世尊)住在室羅筏(Śrāvastī)的竹筍道場,與一千二百五十位大苾芻(bhikṣu,比丘)眾在一起。還有無量無數的菩薩摩訶薩(bodhisattva-mahāsattva,大菩薩),以慈氏菩薩(Maitreya Bodhisattva,彌勒菩薩)為首。又有無量的比丘、比丘尼(bhikṣuṇī,女比丘)、鄔波索迦(upāsaka,近事男)、鄔波斯迦(upāsikā,近事女),以及諸天、龍、藥叉(yakṣa,夜叉)、犍達縛(gandharva,乾闥婆)、阿素洛(asura,阿修羅)、揭路茶(garuḍa,迦樓羅)、緊捺洛(kiṃnara,緊那羅)、莫呼洛伽(mahoraga,摩睺羅伽)、鳩畔茶(kumbhāṇḍa,鳩槃荼)、畢舍遮(piśāca,毗舍遮)、人、非人等,大眾圍繞,供養、恭敬、尊重、讚歎,(世尊)為他們說法。 爾時,觀自在菩薩摩訶薩(Avalokiteśvara bodhisattva-mahāsattva,觀自在菩薩)與無量俱胝(koṭi,千萬)那庾多(nayuta,億)百千持咒神仙前後圍繞,來到佛所。到達后,頂禮世尊雙足,右繞三匝,退坐一面。稟白佛說:『世尊,我有一個神咒心,名為十一面,具有大威力,是十一俱胝諸佛所說。我現在要說出這個神咒心,爲了利益安樂一切有情(sattva,眾生),爲了消除一切疾病,爲了滅除一切罪惡,爲了止息一切不吉祥,爲了去除一切惡夢,爲了遮止一切非時而死,爲了使那些心懷惡意的人得到調伏清凈,爲了使那些有憂愁痛苦的人得到安樂,爲了使那些有怨恨仇對的人得到和解,爲了使魔鬼的障礙都消滅,爲了使心中所愿所求都能如願成就。世尊,我沒有見到世間的天、魔、梵天、沙門(śrāmaṇa,出家修行者)、婆羅門等,以這個神咒防護其身,受持、讀誦、書寫、流佈,而會為一切災禍、橫禍、魔障、刀杖、毒藥、厭禱咒術所能傷害的。我也沒見到以此神咒隨所住處,無論遠近,結界之後,有誰能夠超越這個界限的。』
【English Translation】 English version The Eleven-Faced Heart Dharani Sutra Translated by the Tripitaka Master Xuanzang of the Great Tang Dynasty under Imperial Order Thus have I heard. At one time, the Bhagavan (Bhagavan, the World-Honored One) was dwelling in the Bamboo Shoot Garden in Śrāvastī (Śrāvastī), together with a great assembly of twelve hundred and fifty bhikṣus (bhikṣu, monks). There were also immeasurable and countless bodhisattva-mahāsattvas (bodhisattva-mahāsattva, great bodhisattvas), with Maitreya Bodhisattva (Maitreya Bodhisattva, the Bodhisattva Maitreya) as their leader. Furthermore, there were countless bhikṣus, bhikṣuṇīs (bhikṣuṇī, nuns), upāsakas (upāsaka, lay male devotees), upāsikās (upāsikā, lay female devotees), and various devas, nāgas, yakṣas (yakṣa, yakshas), gandharvas (gandharva, gandharvas), asuras (asura, asuras), garuḍas (garuḍa, garudas), kiṃnaras (kiṃnara, kinnaras), mahoragas (mahoraga, mahoragas), kumbhāṇḍas (kumbhāṇḍa, kumbhandas), piśācas (piśāca, pisacas), humans, non-humans, and others. The great assembly surrounded, offered, revered, respected, praised, and extolled (the Bhagavan) while he expounded the Dharma. At that time, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva (Avalokiteśvara bodhisattva-mahāsattva, the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara), surrounded by countless koṭis (koṭi, tens of millions) of nayutas (nayuta, hundreds of millions) of hundreds of thousands of mantra-holding deities, came to the Buddha's place. Having arrived, he prostrated himself at the feet of the World-Honored One, circumambulated him three times to the right, and withdrew to sit on one side. He said to the Buddha: 'World-Honored One, I have a heart dharani called the Eleven-Faced, which possesses great power and has been spoken by eleven koṭis of Buddhas. I will now speak it for the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings (sattva, beings), to eliminate all diseases, to extinguish all evils, to stop all inauspiciousness, to dispel all bad dreams, to prevent all untimely deaths, to purify the minds of those with evil intentions, to bring peace to those who are suffering, to reconcile those who are in conflict, to eliminate all demonic obstacles, and to fulfill all desires of the heart. World-Honored One, I have not seen anyone in the world, whether deva, demon, Brahma, śrāmaṇa (śrāmaṇa, renunciate), or Brahmin, who, having protected their body with this dharani, and having received, recited, written, and propagated it, could be harmed by any calamity, misfortune, demonic obstacle, sword, staff, poison, curse, or spell. I have also not seen anyone who, having established a boundary with this dharani in any place, whether near or far, could have that boundary transgressed.'
來相嬈害。唯除決定惡業應熟。世尊彼當證知是事必爾。唯應信受不應分別。如此則令一切災橫。皆悉遠離不得侵近。此神咒心一切諸佛。同所稱讚同所隨喜。一切如來憶持守護。世尊我憶過去過殑伽沙等劫前。有佛出世。名百蓮花眼無障礙頂熾盛功德光王如來應正等覺。我于爾時作大仙人。從彼世尊受得此咒。得此咒時見十方佛。應時證得無生法忍。當知此咒具大威力。是故若有凈信善男子善女人等。欲受持讀誦此神咒者。應當恭敬至心繫念。每晨朝時如法清凈。唸誦此咒一百八遍。若能如是。現身獲得十種勝利。何等為十。一者身常無病。二者恒為十方諸佛攝受。三者財寶衣食受用無盡。四者能伏怨敵而無所畏。五者令諸尊貴恭敬先言。六者蠱毒鬼魅不能中傷。七者一切刀杖所不能害。八者水不能溺。九者火不能燒。十者終不橫死。復得四種功德勝利。一者臨命終時得見諸佛。二者終不墮諸惡趣。三者不因險厄而死。四者得生極樂世界。世尊我憶過去過十殑伽沙等劫。復過於此有佛出世。名美音香如來應正等覺。爾時我身作大居士。于彼佛所受得此咒。得此咒時便於生死。超四萬劫誦持此咒。復得諸佛大悲智藏一切菩薩解脫法門。由此威力能救一切牢獄系閉。杻械枷鎖臨當刑戮。水火風賊蠱毒厭禱。人非人等種種
【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本 來互相侵擾損害。除非是決定性的惡業應當成熟(指惡業果報成熟的時機已到)。世尊,他們應當知道這件事是必然的,唯有信受,不應分別思量。這樣就能使一切災禍橫事,都遠離自身,不得侵擾靠近。這個神咒之心,一切諸佛,共同稱讚,共同隨喜。一切如來憶念受持守護。 世尊,我憶念過去經過如恒河沙數般的劫數之前,有佛出世,名為百蓮花眼無障礙頂熾盛功德光王如來應正等覺(佛名)。我于那時作大仙人,從那位世尊處獲得此咒。得到此咒時,見到十方諸佛,應時證得無生法忍(證悟真理,不再輪迴)。應當知道此咒具有大威力。因此,若有具凈信的善男子善女人等,想要受持讀誦此神咒者,應當恭敬至誠,繫念專注。每天早晨如法清凈,唸誦此咒一百零八遍。若能如此,現世就能獲得十種勝利。是哪十種? 一者,身體常常沒有疾病。二者,恒常為十方諸佛所攝受。三者,財寶衣食受用無盡。四者,能降伏怨敵而無所畏懼。五者,能令諸位尊貴之人恭敬,並首先向你問候。六者,蠱毒鬼魅不能中傷。七者,一切刀杖所不能傷害。八者,水不能淹溺。九者,火不能焚燒。十者,終究不會橫死。 又獲得四種功德勝利。一者,臨命終時得見諸佛。二者,終究不墮入諸惡趣。三者,不會因為險難災厄而死。四者,得以往生極樂世界。 世尊,我憶念過去經過十倍恒河沙數般的劫數。再超過此數,有佛出世,名為美音香如來應正等覺(佛名)。那時我自身作大居士,在那位佛處獲得此咒。得到此咒時,便在生死輪迴中,超越了四萬劫。誦持此咒,又得到諸佛大悲智藏,一切菩薩解脫法門。由此威力,能救一切牢獄系閉,杻械枷鎖,臨當刑戮,水火風賊,蠱毒厭禱,人與非人等種種苦難。
【English Translation】 English version To come and mutually harass and harm. Except for determined evil karma that should ripen (referring to the time when the retribution of evil karma is due). World Honored One, they should know that this matter is inevitable, and they should only believe and accept it, without speculative thinking. In this way, all disasters and misfortunes will be far away and unable to approach. This heart of the divine mantra is praised and rejoiced by all Buddhas. All Tathagatas remember, uphold, and protect it. World Honored One, I remember that in the past, countless kalpas ago, as many as the sands of the Ganges River, a Buddha appeared in the world, named Hundred Lotus Eye Unobstructed Top Blazing Merit Light King Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha (Buddha's name). At that time, I was a great ascetic, and I received this mantra from that World Honored One. When I received this mantra, I saw the Buddhas of the ten directions, and I immediately attained the Patience of Non-birth (realization of truth, no more reincarnation). It should be known that this mantra has great power. Therefore, if there are faithful good men and good women who wish to receive, uphold, and recite this divine mantra, they should be respectful and wholeheartedly focused. Every morning, they should purify themselves according to the Dharma and recite this mantra one hundred and eight times. If they can do this, they will obtain ten kinds of victories in this life. What are the ten? First, the body is always free from illness. Second, one is constantly embraced by the Buddhas of the ten directions. Third, wealth, clothing, food, and enjoyment are inexhaustible. Fourth, one can subdue enemies without fear. Fifth, one can cause noble people to respect and greet you first. Sixth, poisonous curses and evil spirits cannot harm you. Seventh, all swords and weapons cannot harm you. Eighth, water cannot drown you. Ninth, fire cannot burn you. Tenth, one will never die an untimely death. Furthermore, one obtains four kinds of meritorious victories. First, at the time of death, one sees the Buddhas. Second, one will never fall into the evil realms. Third, one will not die due to dangerous calamities. Fourth, one will be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss. World Honored One, I remember that in the past, after ten times as many kalpas as the sands of the Ganges River. Beyond that number, a Buddha appeared in the world, named Beautiful Sound Fragrance Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha (Buddha's name). At that time, I was a great householder, and I received this mantra from that Buddha. When I received this mantra, I transcended forty thousand kalpas in the cycle of birth and death. By reciting this mantra, I also obtained the Great Compassionate Wisdom Treasury of all Buddhas, and the Dharma Doors of Liberation of all Bodhisattvas. With this power, I can save all those imprisoned in jails, shackled with handcuffs and fetters, facing execution, and suffering from the calamities of water, fire, wind, thieves, poisonous curses, and various troubles caused by humans and non-humans.
苦難。由此我於一切有情。能作歸依救護安慰洲渚室宅。以此咒力攝取一切勃惡藥叉邏剎娑等。先令發起慈心愍心。然後安立於阿耨多羅三藐三菩提。世尊我此神咒有大威力。若誦一遍即能除滅四根本罪。及五無間令無有餘。況能如說而修行者。若有曾於百千俱胝那庾多佛所種諸善根。乃於今時得聞此咒。況能受持如說行者。若能晝夜讀誦受持此神咒者。我當令彼所有愿求悉得如意。若有能於半月半月。或第十四日或第十五日。受持齋戒如法清凈。繫心於我誦此神咒。便於生死超四萬劫。世尊我由此咒。名號尊貴難可得聞。若有稱念百千俱胝那庾多諸佛名號。復有暫時於我名號至心稱念。彼二功德平等平等。諸有稱念我名號者。一切皆得不退轉地。離一切病脫一切障一切怖畏。及能滅除身語意惡。況能於我所說神咒。受持讀誦如說修行。當知是人于無上菩提。則為領受如在掌中。
爾時世尊贊觀自在菩薩言。善哉善哉善男子。汝乃能於一切有情。發起如是大慈悲意。而欲開示此大神咒。善男子汝由此方便。能救脫一切有情。所有病苦障難怖畏身語意惡。乃至安立一切有情。于阿耨多羅三藐三菩提。善男子我亦隨喜受汝神咒汝當說之。時觀自在菩薩摩訶薩即從座起偏袒一肩右膝著地而白佛言誦此咒者應作是說。
【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本:苦難。因此,我對於一切有情(眾生),能夠作為歸依、救護、安慰、洲渚(避難所)、室宅(家園)。憑藉這個咒語的力量,攝取一切兇惡的藥叉(夜叉,一種鬼神)、羅剎娑(羅剎,一種惡鬼)等,先讓他們發起慈悲心、憐憫心,然後安置於阿耨多羅三藐三菩提(無上正等正覺)。世尊,我這個神咒有巨大的威力,如果誦讀一遍,就能除滅四根本罪(殺、盜、淫、妄),以及五無間罪(殺父、殺母、殺阿羅漢、破和合僧、出佛身血),使之沒有剩餘。更何況能夠如所說的那樣修行的人呢?如果有人曾經在百千俱胝那庾多(極多的數量單位)佛所種下各種善根,才能在今天聽到這個咒語。更何況能夠受持並如所說的那樣修行的人呢?如果有人能夠晝夜讀誦受持這個神咒,我應當讓他們所有的願望都如意。如果有人能夠在半月半月,或者第十四日或者第十五日,受持齋戒,如法清凈,專心於我,誦讀這個神咒,便能超越生死四萬劫。世尊,我憑藉這個咒語,名號尊貴,難以聽聞。如果有人稱念百千俱胝那庾多諸佛的名號,又有暫時對我名號至心稱念,這二者的功德相等相等。所有稱念我名號的人,一切都能得到不退轉地(不再退轉的境界),遠離一切疾病,脫離一切障礙,一切怖畏,並且能夠滅除身語意惡。更何況能夠對我所說的神咒,受持讀誦,如所說的那樣修行。應當知道這個人對於無上菩提,就如同領受在掌中一樣。
這時,世尊讚歎觀自在菩薩(Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva)說:『善哉!善哉!善男子,你竟然能夠對於一切有情,發起如此大的慈悲心,而想要開示這個大神咒。善男子,你憑藉這種方便,能夠救脫一切有情,所有的病苦、障礙、災難、怖畏、身語意惡,乃至安置一切有情于阿耨多羅三藐三菩提。善男子,我也隨喜接受你的神咒,你應當說出來。』當時,觀自在菩薩摩訶薩(Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Mahāsattva)即從座位上站起,偏袒一肩,右膝著地,對佛說:『誦讀這個咒語的人應當這樣說:』
【English Translation】 English version: Suffering. Therefore, I, for all sentient beings, can act as refuge, protection, comfort, islands (of safety), and dwellings. By the power of this mantra, I gather all the fierce Yakshas (Yaksha, a type of spirit), Rakshasas (Rakshasa, a type of demon), etc., first causing them to generate compassion and loving-kindness, and then establishing them in Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment). World Honored One, this divine mantra of mine has great power. If recited once, it can eliminate the four root offenses (killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying) and the five heinous crimes (killing one's father, killing one's mother, killing an Arhat, causing disunity in the Sangha, shedding the blood of a Buddha), leaving none remaining. How much more so for those who can practice as instructed? If someone has planted various good roots in the presence of hundreds of thousands of kotis nayutas (extremely large units of quantity) of Buddhas, they will be able to hear this mantra today. How much more so for those who can receive and uphold it and practice as instructed? If someone can recite and uphold this divine mantra day and night, I shall ensure that all their wishes are fulfilled. If someone can observe the precepts and fasts purely and righteously every half month, on the fourteenth or fifteenth day, focusing their mind on me and reciting this divine mantra, they will transcend forty thousand kalpas of birth and death. World Honored One, by virtue of this mantra, my name is honored and difficult to hear. If someone recites the names of hundreds of thousands of kotis nayutas of Buddhas, and another temporarily recites my name with utmost sincerity, the merits of these two are equal. All those who recite my name will attain the stage of non-retrogression (the state of no longer falling back), be free from all illnesses, escape all obstacles, all fears, and be able to eliminate evil of body, speech, and mind. How much more so for those who can receive, uphold, recite, and practice as instructed the divine mantra I have spoken. Know that such a person, regarding unsurpassed Bodhi, receives it as if it were in the palm of their hand.
At that time, the World Honored One praised Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, saying: 'Excellent! Excellent! Good man, you are able to generate such great compassion for all sentient beings and wish to reveal this great divine mantra. Good man, by this means, you can rescue all sentient beings from all illnesses, sufferings, obstacles, calamities, fears, and evil of body, speech, and mind, and even establish all sentient beings in Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi. Good man, I also rejoice in accepting your divine mantra. You should speak it.' Then, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Mahāsattva rose from his seat, bared one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and said to the Buddha: 'Those who recite this mantra should say this:'
敬禮三寶。敬禮聖智海遍照莊嚴王如來。敬禮一切如來應正等覺。敬禮聖觀自在菩薩摩訶薩大悲者。

世尊此是咒水及衣咒。若欲入道場先當洗浴。后以此咒咒水七遍灑身結凈。復以此咒咒衣七遍然後取著。敬禮三寶。敬禮聖智海遍照莊嚴王如來。敬禮一切如來應正等覺。敬禮聖觀自在菩薩摩訶薩大悲者。

世尊此是咒香燈咒。若入道場欲燒香供養時。先以此咒咒香七遍然

世尊,這是咒水及衣咒。如果想要進入道場,應當先洗浴,然後用此咒語加持水七遍,灑在身上以作潔凈。再用此咒語加持衣服七遍,然後穿上。 頂禮三寶。頂禮聖智海遍照莊嚴王如來(Holy Wisdom Ocean All-Illuminating Adornment King Tathagata)。頂禮一切如來應正等覺。頂禮聖觀自在菩薩摩訶薩大悲者(Holy Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Mahāsattva, the Great Compassionate One)。

World Honored One, this is the fundamental divine mantra. If one recites it, one will obtain the meritorious virtues and benefits as mentioned above.
Homage to the Triple Gem. Homage to the Holy Wisdom Ocean All-Illuminating Adornment King Tathagata (Holy Wisdom Ocean All-Illuminating Adornment King Tathagata). Homage to all Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Enlightened Ones. Homage to the Holy Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Mahāsattva, the Great Compassionate One (Holy Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Mahāsattva, the Great Compassionate One).

World Honored One, even if such a divine mantra is not fully perfected, it can still accomplish various tasks. If you recite it with utmost sincerity, there is no wish that cannot be granted. If someone suffers from malaria, whether it occurs once a day, once every two days, once every three days, or once every four days. If someone suffers from a ghost-related illness, whether caused by Bhuta ghosts, or caused by Chataki (a type of female demon), or caused by Pisacha (a type of demon), or caused by Kataputana (a type of demon), or caused by epileptic ghosts, or caused by seizure ghosts, or caused by various other evil ghosts, you can use this mantra to recite for the patient. Recite it one hundred and eight times, and they will be cured. If the karmic obstacles are heavy, use five-colored threads, reciting the mantra while making knots. Make one knot for each recitation, for a total of one hundred and eight knots.
結。以系病人頸上或係臂上。罪障。消滅病即除愈若患丁腫癰腫瘺瘡皰瘡。疽瘍癬等種種惡病。若被刀箭牟槊等傷。蛇蝎蜈蚣毒蜂等螫。皆以此咒咒之七遍即得除愈若障重者咒黃土泥至一七遍。用涂病處所苦得除愈。若患緩風偏風[月*(未-二+匚)]風。耳聾鼻塞𤺍風等病。皆應至心念誦此咒。咒彼患者一百八遍病即除愈若障重者以油或酥。煎樺皮及青木香每咒七遍。即用涂身或滴耳鼻。或令服之所患便愈若有所餘種種疾病。皆應至心以此咒之。或自唸誦即得除差。

【English Translation】 Tie it [the knot] around the patient's neck or arm. Sins and obstacles will be eliminated, and the illness will be immediately cured. If suffering from boils, carbuncles, fistulas, blisters, sores, malignant ulcers, ringworm, and various other malignant diseases, or if wounded by swords, arrows, spears, and other weapons, or stung by snakes, scorpions, centipedes, poisonous bees, etc., chant this mantra seven times, and they will be cured. If the karmic obstacles are heavy, chant over yellow clay mud from one to seven times and apply it to the affected area, and the suffering will be eliminated. If suffering from chronic wind (chronic rheumatism), hemiplegia, postpartum wind, deafness, nasal congestion, epilepsy, etc., one should sincerely recite this mantra, chanting it one hundred and eight times for the patient, and the illness will be cured. If the karmic obstacles are heavy, use oil or ghee, boil birch bark and Aquilaria agallocha, chant seven times each time, and then apply it to the body, or drip it into the ears and nose, or have the patient take it, and the ailment will be cured. If there are any other various diseases, one should sincerely bless them with this mantra, or recite it oneself, and one will be cured.
World Honored One, if one wishes to establish this divine mantra, one should first carve an image of Avalokiteśvara (觀自在菩薩) from solid, seamless white sandalwood (Santalum album), one and a half spans in height. The left hand should hold a red lotus kundika (軍持, water bottle), and the right arm should be extended with a rosary (數珠) hanging from it, and making the abhaya-mudra (施無畏手印, gesture of fearlessness). The image should have eleven faces, with the three faces in front displaying a compassionate appearance, the three faces on the left displaying an angry appearance, the three faces on the right displaying white teeth protruding upwards, the face in the back displaying a fierce, laughing appearance, and the face on the top displaying the face of a Buddha. All the crowns should display the body of a Buddha. The body of Avalokiteśvara should be adorned with necklaces and various other ornaments. After creating this image, those who wish to seek wishes should wear new, clean clothes, observe the precepts of fasting, and from the first to the eighth day of the white month (the first to fifteenth of each lunar month), recite this mantra three times a day, one hundred and eight times or countless times. From then on, in a quiet place, spread a clean seat and place the created image of Avalokiteśvara facing west. Offer various foods and drinks to the best of one's ability, burning only aloeswood and storax (蘇合香). The practitioner should eat barley and milk foods. Recite as before until the thirteenth day. From then on, the offerings provided must be doubled compared to before. The practitioner should only eat three white foods, namely milk, cheese, and rice. Take bodhi (菩提, enlightenment).

複次行者。應等分取雄黃牛黃。置此像前唸誦此咒一千八遍。以水和之點置眉間。三事成就如前所說。若和暖水洗浴其身。則一切障礙一切惡夢一切疫病。皆得除愈。
複次若他方怨賊欲來侵境。應取燕脂一顆。誦此咒咒

I shall grant your wishes, allowing you to ascend into the sky from here, or allowing you to travel without hindrance, or to become the king among mantra-holding immortals, or to be as free and unhindered as I am.' Furthermore, the practitioner may, on the fifteenth day of the bright lunar fortnight (Shukla Paksha, the waxing phase of the moon in the Hindu calendar), place an image of the Eleven-Faced Avalokiteshvara (Ekadasamukha Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion with eleven faces) in a stupa (a Buddhist monument). Wearing new and clean clothes, observe the precepts of fasting, abstaining from drinking and eating for one day and one night. Take one thousand and eight Sumana (a type of flower) flowers, each time taking one flower, reciting the mantra once, and throwing it onto the image until all are exhausted. At that time, the face in front of the image will emit a sound from its mouth like thunder. Because of this, the earth will shake violently. The practitioner should then calm himself, not be afraid, but only recite the mantra, begging for the desired wish, saying thus: 'Homage to the Holy Avalokiteshvara Mahasattva (Arya Avalokiteshvara Mahasattva, the noble Avalokiteshvara, a great being), the Great Compassionate One! When will I be able to be a great protector (protector) for all sentient beings (sentient beings), able to fulfill the wishes in the hearts of all sentient beings?' At that time, Avalokiteshvara will grant his wish. When granting the wish, the devas (gods), nagas (dragons), and others will not be able to create obstacles for him. Furthermore, during a lunar eclipse (lunar eclipse), take one tael of ghee, place it in a silver vessel, and place it in front of this image, reciting this mantra until the ghee is restored to its original state like the moon. Then take it and eat it, and all diseases in the body will be eliminated and cured. Furthermore, the practitioner should take equal parts of orpiment (orpiment, a mineral) and calculus bovis (calculus bovis, a gallstone from a cow), place them in front of this image, and recite this mantra one thousand and eight times, mix them with water, and apply it between the eyebrows. If these three things are accomplished, the effects will be as previously described. If one bathes the body with warm water, then all obstacles, all bad dreams, and all epidemics will be eliminated and cured. 複次若有長病困苦不差。或惡神鬼來入宅中。應取薰陸香一百八顆。在此像前顆咒一遍。擲置火中乃至皆盡。復取白縷作二十一咒結。一咒一結。系置目前慈悲面頂上。經一宿已解取。以系病者頸上。所患除愈惡鬼退散。
複次若為怨仇伺求其便。斗諍厭禱欲作衰害。應以種種香花等物供養此像。以婆鑠迦木像前然火。取蕓薹子一百八顆。各咒一遍擲置火中。復取白縷結作一百八結。一咒一結。繫著此像左邊瞋面頂上。經一宿已解取此索。稱怨仇名截一一結各令異處。一稱一截乃至都盡。今彼怨仇所作不遂自然歸伏。
複次若人慾求諸善好事。取

Furthermore, if you know that there are various obstacles and difficulties in your body, and most of the good deeds you seek do not come to fruition, and decline and misfortune often come without cause, you should bathe this image with fragrant water. Then, take this water and recite the mantra one hundred and eight times, using it to bathe the image of Vinayaka (象頭神). Then, take the fragrant water again and recite the mantra one hundred and eight times, sprinkling it on yourself. All obstacles and difficulties will naturally disappear, and all that you seek will be fulfilled.
At that time, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (觀自在菩薩摩訶薩) finished speaking this sutra, and all the assembly simultaneously praised, saying, 'Excellent, excellent, Great Being! You have spoken this divine mantra for the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings. We rejoice and also wish to accept and uphold it.' At that time, the assembly rejoiced and danced, circumambulated the Buddha three times, paid homage, and departed.
