大唐天竺三藏地婆訶羅譯
爾時佛在舍衛國祇樹給孤獨園。是時世尊思惟觀察。愍未來諸眾生故。說是七俱胝佛母心準提陀羅尼法。即說咒曰。
南謨颯哆南(一)三藐三勃陀俱胝南(二)怛侄他(三)唵折戾(四)主戾(五)準締(六)娑婆訶(七)
若有比丘比丘尼優婆塞優婆夷。受持讀誦此陀羅尼滿八十萬遍無量劫來所造五無間等。一切諸罪皆悉消滅。所在生處皆得值遇諸佛菩薩。所有資具隨意充足。生生常得出家。具持菩薩律儀凈戒。恒生人天不墮惡趣。常為諸天之所守護。若有在家善男女等誦持之者。其家無有災橫病苦之所惱害。諸有所作無不諧偶。所說言語人皆信受。若有誦此陀羅尼咒滿十萬遍。夢中得見諸佛菩薩聲聞緣覺。自見口中吐出黑物。若有重罪誦滿二十萬遍。夢中亦見諸佛菩薩。亦復自見吐出黑物。若有五逆罪。不得如是善夢之者。宜應更誦滿七十萬遍。是時還得如前之相。乃至夢見吐出白色如酪飯等。當知此人即是罪滅。清凈之相。
複次我今說此大陀羅尼所作之事
。若於佛像前。或於塔前若清凈處。以瞿摩夷塗地。而作方壇隨其大小。復以花香幡蓋飲食燈燭。隨力所辦而供養之。復咒香水散於四方上下以為結界。于壇四角及壇中央。皆各置一香水之瓶。持咒之者于其壇中。面向東方胡跪。誦咒一千八遍。其香水瓶即便自轉。叉手捧雜花。咒千八遍。散一鏡面。又于鏡前正觀。誦咒亦千八遍。得見佛菩薩像。應咒花百八遍。而散供養。隨請問法無不決了。若有鬼病以咒茅草而拂病人即得除愈。若有幼小為鬼所著。以五色縷應令童女搓以為線。一咒一結滿二十一。用系其頸。以芥子咒滿七遍。散其面即便除差。
複次有法。于病者前墨畫其形。咒楊枝打之。亦便除差。
複次有法。若有病人為鬼所著身在遠處。應咒楊枝具滿七遍。寄人持打即亦除差。
複次有法。若在路行誦此咒。無有賊盜惡獸等畏。
複次有法。常持此咒。設有諍訟無不獲勝。若欲往渡江河大海。誦咒而渡無有水中惡獸等難。
複次有法。若被系閉枷鎖禁其身。誦此咒者即得解脫。
複次有法若諸國土水旱不調。疫毒流行。應以酥和胡麻粳米。用手三指取其一撮。咒之一遍置火中燒。或經七日七夜。六時如是相續不絕。一切災疫悉皆消滅。
複次有法。于河渚間砂
【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本:如果要在佛像前,或者在佛塔前,或者在清凈的地方,用牛糞(瞿摩夷)塗地,製作方形的壇,大小隨意。再用鮮花、香、幡、傘蓋、飲食、燈燭,儘自己的能力來供養。然後唸咒加持香水,向四方上下灑去,作為結界。在壇的四個角和壇的中央,都各放置一個裝有香水的瓶子。持咒的人在壇中,面向東方,胡跪,誦咒一千零八遍,香水瓶就會自己轉動。然後雙手合掌捧著雜花,唸咒一千零八遍,散在鏡面上。又在鏡子前,端正地觀看,誦咒也是一千零八遍,就能看見佛菩薩的像。應該唸咒加持鮮花一百零八遍,然後散花供養。無論請求詢問什麼佛法,沒有不能決定的。如果有人得了鬼病,用念過咒的茅草拂拭病人,病立刻就能痊癒。如果小孩子被鬼附身,用五種顏色的線,讓童女搓成線,念一遍咒打一個結,一共打二十一個結,用來繫在孩子的脖子上。用芥子唸咒七遍,撒在孩子的臉上,病立刻就能痊癒。

【English Translation】 English version: If one is before a Buddha image, or before a stupa, or in a clean place, one should smear the ground with cow dung (瞿摩夷, Ghee or cow dung), and make a square altar of any size. Then, with flowers, incense, banners, canopies, food, lamps, and candles, one should make offerings according to one's ability. Next, one should consecrate fragrant water with a mantra and sprinkle it in all four directions, above and below, to create a boundary. At each of the four corners of the altar and in the center of the altar, one should place a bottle of fragrant water. The mantra practitioner, in the middle of the altar, facing east, kneeling on one knee, should recite the mantra one thousand and eight times. The bottles of fragrant water will then turn by themselves. Then, with hands clasped, holding assorted flowers, one should recite the mantra one thousand and eight times and scatter them on a mirror. Also, in front of the mirror, gazing intently, one should recite the mantra one thousand and eight times, and one will see the images of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. One should consecrate the flowers with the mantra one hundred and eight times, and then scatter them as offerings. Whatever Dharma one requests and asks about, there will be nothing that cannot be resolved. If someone has a ghost sickness, one can use grass consecrated with a mantra to brush the sick person, and the sickness will be immediately cured. If a young child is possessed by a ghost, one should use five-colored threads, and have a young girl twist them into a string. With each recitation of the mantra, tie a knot, for a total of twenty-one knots, and use it to tie around the child's neck. Consecrate mustard seeds with the mantra seven times, and scatter them on the child's face, and the sickness will immediately be cured.

Furthermore, there is a method: if one constantly holds this mantra, even if there is litigation, one will invariably be victorious. If one wishes to cross a river or a vast ocean, one should recite the mantra while crossing, and there will be no difficulties from evil beasts in the water.
Furthermore, there is a method: if one is imprisoned, with shackles and chains binding the body, one who recites this mantra will be liberated.
Furthermore, there is a method: if in various countries the weather is not harmonious, with droughts and floods not in balance, and epidemics are spreading, one should mix ghee with sesame seeds and polished rice, take a pinch with three fingers, recite the mantra once, and place it in the fire to burn. Or, for seven days and seven nights, six times a day, continuously without interruption, all disasters and epidemics will be extinguished.

潬之上。以印。印砂為塔形像。誦咒一遍印成一塔。滿六十萬遍。或見觀世音菩薩。或見多羅菩薩。或見金剛主菩薩。隨心所求皆得滿足。或見授與仙藥。或見與受菩提之記。
複次有法。右繞菩提樹像。誦咒滿千萬遍。即見菩薩為其說法。欲隨菩薩即得隨從。
複次有法。若乞食時常持此咒。不為惡人惡狗等類之所惱害。若於塔前或佛像前或舍利塔前。誦持此咒三十萬遍。復于白月十五日設大供養。一日一夜不食正念誦咒。乃至得見金剛手菩薩。而彼菩薩即將是人往于自宮。
複次有法。若於轉法輪塔前或佛生處塔前。或從忉利天下寶階塔前或舍利塔前。于如是等諸塔之前誦咒右繞。即見阿缽羅是多菩薩及訶利底菩薩。隨其所愿皆悉滿足。若須仙藥即便授之。復為說法示菩薩道。若有誦此陀羅尼者。乃至未坐道場。一切菩薩常為善友。又此準提大陀羅尼大明咒法。過去一切諸佛已說。未來一切諸佛當說。現在一切諸佛今說。我今亦如是說。為利益一切眾生故。令得無上菩提故。若有薄福眾生。無少善根者。無有根器之者。無有菩提分法者。若得聞此陀羅尼法。速疾證得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提。若有人能常自憶念。誦持此咒。無量善根皆得成就。佛說此大準提陀羅尼法時。無量眾生遠塵離垢。得大準

【English Translation】 English version: On the bank of a river. Use a mudra (印,hand gesture). Use the mudra to imprint the sand, forming the shape of a stupa (塔,tower-like structure). Each time you recite the mantra, imprint one stupa. After completing six hundred thousand recitations, you may see Avalokiteśvara (觀世音菩薩, the Bodhisattva of Compassion), or you may see Tārā (多羅菩薩, the Goddess of Salvation), or you may see Vajrapāṇi (金剛手菩薩, the Bodhisattva of Power). Whatever you seek in your heart will be fulfilled. You may see them bestow upon you an elixir, or you may see them grant you a prediction of your future Buddhahood.
Furthermore, there is a method. Circumambulate the image of the Bodhi tree clockwise, reciting the mantra ten million times. You will then see the Bodhisattva expounding the Dharma for you. If you wish to follow the Bodhisattva, you will be allowed to do so.
Furthermore, there is a method. If you constantly hold this mantra while begging for food, you will not be harmed by evil people or vicious dogs. If you recite this mantra three hundred thousand times in front of a stupa, a Buddha image, or a relic stupa, and then make a grand offering on the fifteenth day of the white month (waxing moon), abstaining from food for one day and one night while single-mindedly reciting the mantra, you will eventually see Vajrapāṇi. That Bodhisattva will then take that person to his own palace.
Furthermore, there is a method. If you recite the mantra and circumambulate clockwise in front of a Dharma wheel stupa, a stupa at the place where the Buddha was born, a stupa at the jeweled staircase where the Buddha descended from Trāyastriṃśa Heaven (忉利天, Heaven of the Thirty-three Gods), or a relic stupa, you will see Apalalita Bodhisattva (阿缽羅是多菩薩, the Invincible Bodhisattva) and Hāritī Bodhisattva (訶利底菩薩, the Mother of Demons). All your wishes will be fulfilled. If you need an elixir, they will give it to you. They will also expound the Dharma for you, showing you the Bodhisattva path. If someone recites this dhāraṇī, all Bodhisattvas will always be their good friends until they sit at the Bodhi-mandala (道場, place of enlightenment). Moreover, this Great Dhāraṇī and Great Bright Mantra of Cundī has been spoken by all Buddhas of the past, will be spoken by all Buddhas of the future, and is being spoken by all Buddhas of the present. I also speak it now, for the benefit of all sentient beings, so that they may attain Anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi (阿耨多羅三藐三菩提, unsurpassed, complete and perfect enlightenment). If there are sentient beings with little merit, those with few good roots, those without capacity, those without the factors of enlightenment, if they hear this dhāraṇī Dharma, they will quickly attain Anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi. If someone can constantly remember and recite this mantra, limitless good roots will be accomplished. When the Buddha spoke this Great Cundī Dhāraṇī Dharma, countless beings were purified of defilements and attained great benefit.

【English Translation】 English version: The merit of the Great Bright Mantra of the Tidhārani: One will be able to see Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and all the noble assemblies from the ten directions, who will pay homage and then depart.
This one-volume scripture, the Cundi Dhārani Sutra of the Heart of the Seven Koti Buddhas, was extracted from the Great Bright Mantra Treasury of sixty thousand verses. (Translated in the second year of the Chuigong era at the Xiwu State Temple).
