如是我聞。一時佛在大雪山伽王那蘭陀。與大比丘眾千二百五十人俱。其名曰大目犍連舍利弗。摩訶迦旃延波多。阿難陀摩訶迦葉。富樓那彌多羅尼子。復又菩薩萬八千。皆得不退轉陀羅尼辯才。如是等恒河沙數眾中轉大法輪。爾時迦夷城宮內使。來詣佛所頂禮佛足。而白佛言。波斯匿王使我咨量。俱尸羅大國與兵無數萬億來圍迦夷。君臣惶忙人民恐懼。唯愿世尊由大智力救護我等。爾時世尊。即告神通王菩薩。往于迦夷城宮內。速建如意寶輪般多羅道場七星火壇秘密之門。所謂般多羅道場者。造于凈室。七星火壇作于露地。一日一夜如法作。其賊眾者自然退散。其法事者。先須結界然後作般多羅法門。南無如意輪王大法主。我今奉造般多羅者。有天耳眼。有神通者證明法則。即誦如意輪真言七遍。七咒水灑地。取界后為結界。所謂般多羅者。且最清凈室地平如鏡。中央造五色輪象如車輪。或十道或十二道。輪約間畫波折羅相。輪輻上亦爾。中央安如意輪王菩薩。一一輻間安七星像及訶利低母。一一像前安燈蘇香等種種供養。所為人姓名畫于本星。阿阇梨座于輪外。

【English Translation】 English version The Secret Essential Scripture of the Seven Stars Cintamani Wheel

Thus have I heard. At one time, the Buddha was at Gāwang Nàlántuó on the Great Snow Mountain. He was with a gathering of twelve hundred and fifty great Bhikshus. Their names were Mahāmaudgalyāyana, Śāriputra, Mahākātyāyana, Bōduō, Ānanda, Mahākāśyapa, and Pūrṇamaitrāyaṇīputra. Furthermore, there were eighteen thousand Bodhisattvas, all of whom had attained the eloquence of irreversible Dharani. In this way, countless beings like the sands of the Ganges were turning the great Dharma wheel. At that time, a messenger from the palace of Jiāyí City came to where the Buddha was, prostrated at the Buddha's feet, and reported to the Buddha, 'King Bōsìnì has sent me to report that the great country of Jūshīluó is leading countless millions of soldiers to besiege Jiāyí City. The rulers and ministers are in panic, and the people are in fear. We only hope that the World Honored One will use his great wisdom and power to protect us.' At that time, the World Honored One then told the Shéntōng Wáng Púsà to go to the palace of Jiāyí City and quickly establish the Cintamani Jewel Wheel Bānduōluó Mandala and the secret gate of the Seven Stars Fire Altar. The so-called Bānduōluó Mandala is to be built in a clean room. The Seven Stars Fire Altar is to be built in an open space. If it can be performed according to the Dharma for one day and one night, then the enemy's army will naturally retreat. The person performing the Dharma ritual must first establish a boundary and then perform the Bānduōluó Dharma method. 'Namo Cintamani Wheel King, Great Dharma Lord, I now offer and create this Bānduōluó, may those with heavenly ears and eyes, and those with supernatural powers, attest to the Dharma.' Then, recite the Cintamani Wheel mantra seven times, sprinkle the ground with seven-fold mantra water, and establish the boundary after taking the boundary. The so-called Bānduōluó is to choose the cleanest place with a surface as flat as a mirror. In the center, create a five-colored wheel, shaped like a cartwheel, with either ten or twelve spokes. Draw the pattern of Bōzhéluó on the edge of the wheel, and also on the spokes. Place the Cintamani Wheel King Bodhisattva in the center. Place the images of the Seven Stars and Hēlí dī mǔ between each spoke. Place lamps, ghee, incense, and other offerings in front of each image. Draw the name of the person for whom the request is being made on the corresponding star. The Āshélí sits outside the wheel.
一一即啟法事成就。加持唸誦一座一百八遍。觀念不成不數其遍。所謂火壇者。于露地造火爐。或一肘或二肘。即加持一人或優婆塞優婆夷。著新凈衣。造本星食餅及蘇蜜香藥等。即向七星一拜一燒一心著本星。或動異光即得成就。若清凈阿阇梨者。若王若臣乃至人民。自作火壇求請。隨其所愿即得成就。爾時神通王菩薩。即奉教敕往于迦夷大城宮內。一一作法。霹靂雷電賊徒散滅。君臣歡喜人民安樂。爾時神通王菩薩。卻來佛處頂禮佛足。而白佛言奇哉世尊。不可思議秘密法門。如意寶輪王菩薩今何在。我等之輩蒙如來力。往彼世界頂禮如意輪王菩薩。佛告神通王菩薩。善哉善哉。正南方有世界名曰七寶轉輪王。於七寶輪上護法七星及諸天眾周匝。為轉法輪度脫眾生。爾時神通王菩薩。白佛言。世尊以何因緣。不但觀念如意輪王菩薩。又令禮拜本星等耶。佛言昔燃燈佛所受此法門。七星精靈天而下。訶利大神從地而出。愿我等輩護此大法。若有人等奉造此法。我等先至成就法事。以此因緣兼存造法。爾時神通王菩薩。承佛大神力。往彼世界。頂禮如意輪王菩薩。而作是言。
我等住于娑婆界 修學如來因地門 救度迦夷波斯王 以此因緣禮仁者 七寶莊嚴寶輪王 菩薩相好不思議 依正二報俱勝妙

【English Translation】 English version: By performing each step, the Dharma practice will be accomplished. Recite the mantra one hundred and eight times in one sitting. If the visualization is not successful, do not count the repetitions. The so-called fire altar is constructed in an open space, either one cubit or two cubits in size. Then, bless a person, either a Upasaka (male lay devotee) or Upasika (female lay devotee), and have them wear new, clean clothes. Prepare food cakes for their natal star, as well as ghee, honey, fragrant herbs, and other offerings. Then, facing the seven stars, offer one bow and one burning, focusing wholeheartedly on their natal star. If an unusual light appears, it indicates that accomplishment has been attained. If a pure Acharya (teacher) performs this, whether a king, minister, or even common people, and constructs a fire altar to make requests, their wishes will be fulfilled. At that time, Bodhisattva Supernormal Power King (神通王菩薩) received the Buddha's command and went to the palace in the great city of Kashi, performing the Dharma practice step by step. Thunder and lightning disappeared, and the bandits scattered. The king and his ministers rejoiced, and the people were at peace. Then, Bodhisattva Supernormal Power King (神通王菩薩) returned to the Buddha's presence, prostrated at the Buddha's feet, and said to the Buddha: 'Wonderful, World Honored One (世尊)! Inconceivable secret Dharma gate! Where is the Bodhisattva Wish-Fulfilling Wheel King (如意寶輪王菩薩) now? We are all blessed by the power of the Tathagata (如來) to go to that world and prostrate before the Bodhisattva Wish-Fulfilling Wheel King (如意輪王菩薩).' The Buddha told Bodhisattva Supernormal Power King (神通王菩薩): 'Excellent, excellent! In the due south, there is a world called Seven Treasures Wheel-Turning King (七寶轉輪王). On the seven-treasure wheel, the Dharma-protecting seven stars and all the heavenly beings surround it, turning the Dharma wheel to liberate sentient beings.' At that time, Bodhisattva Supernormal Power King (神通王菩薩) said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One (世尊), for what reason should we not only visualize the Bodhisattva Wish-Fulfilling Wheel King (如意輪王菩薩) but also pay homage to our natal stars and others?' The Buddha said: 'In the past, Dipamkara Buddha (燃燈佛) transmitted this Dharma gate. The spirits of the seven stars descended from the heavens, and the great goddess Hariti (訶利大神) emerged from the earth, vowing that we would protect this great Dharma. If anyone practices and constructs this Dharma, we will arrive first and accomplish the Dharma practice. Because of this reason, we also attend to the construction of this Dharma.' At that time, Bodhisattva Supernormal Power King (神通王菩薩), relying on the Buddha's great spiritual power, went to that world, prostrated before the Bodhisattva Wish-Fulfilling Wheel King (如意輪王菩薩), and spoke these words: 'We dwell in the Saha world (娑婆界), Studying the Tathagata's (如來) causal ground Dharma gate, Saving King Pasenadi of Kashi (迦夷波斯王), For this reason, we pay homage to the benevolent one. The treasure wheel king (Cakravarti) adorned with seven treasures, The Bodhisattva's (菩薩) marks and characteristics are inconceivable, Both the circumstantial and direct rewards are supremely wonderful.'
我今敬禮如意輪
爾時如意輪菩薩而說偈言。
我今所修菩薩道 度脫眾生長夜苦 今座莊嚴如意輪 令諸眾生亦如是 世有眾生有所愿 今我如意寶輪王 隨其種種所受樂 無不從心為如意 若有眾生在世界 欲得通達無為道 業障深厚不成就 我以寶輪使開悟 若有世界三災起 國界人民不安樂 其中有人造我法 如意聖輪與大樂 若有世界他界賊 四方覆嬈不安寧 國中有人造我法 如意聖輪與安樂 若有國內饑饉難 一切人民不安悅 若有造我般多法 如意聖輪能救濟 若有眾生在世界 王法所加被獄囚 造我大法般多羅 如意聖輪能救濟 若有眾生在險難 如意聖輪能救濟 若有眾生在世界 盲聾跛𨄜種種病 念我大法般多羅 如意聖輪能救濟 若有眾生在世界 欲得家富求富祿 造我大法般多羅 如意聖輪如其愿 若有如是如意輪 一切罪障無不除 一切吉祥無不致 無所不至拔濟苦 諸天龍神及人間 一切眾生有歸依 不隨其心墮妄語 是法能除一切罪 增長一切諸功德 自在能照於五道 成就一切眾生愿

這時,神通王菩薩(Supernatural Power King Bodhisattva)頂禮聖輪,回到原來的地方,一心受持這不可思議的摩訶般多羅(maha-panta-vidya)。
【English Translation】 English version I now respectfully bow to the Cintamani-cakra (Wish-Fulfilling Wheel).
At that time, the Cintamani-cakra Bodhisattva spoke in verse:
'The Bodhisattva path I now cultivate, delivers beings from the long night of suffering; This seat now adorned as the Cintamani-cakra, may all beings be like this as well. If there are beings in the world with wishes, I am now the Cintamani-cakra King; According to their various enjoyments, everything is fulfilled as they wish. If there are beings in the world who desire to attain the unconditioned path; Whose karmic obstacles are deep and they cannot achieve it, I use the precious wheel to enlighten them. If the three calamities arise in the world, and the people in the country are not at peace; If someone among them practices my Dharma, the sacred Cintamani-cakra grants great joy. If there are thieves from other realms in the world, who harass and disturb in all directions, causing unrest; If someone in the country practices my Dharma, the sacred Cintamani-cakra grants peace and happiness. If there is famine in the country, and all the people are not happy; If someone practices my panta-vidya (all-knowing wisdom) Dharma, the sacred Cintamani-cakra can save them. If there are beings in the world who are imprisoned by the king's law; Practicing my great panta-vidya Dharma, the sacred Cintamani-cakra can save them. If there are beings in danger and difficulty, the sacred Cintamani-cakra can save them; If there are beings in the world who are blind, deaf, lame, or have various illnesses; Reciting my great panta-vidya Dharma, the sacred Cintamani-cakra can save them. If there are beings in the world who desire wealth and prosperity; Practicing my great panta-vidya Dharma, the sacred Cintamani-cakra fulfills their wishes. If there is such a Cintamani-cakra, all sins and obstacles will be removed; All auspiciousness will be attained, reaching everywhere to relieve suffering. Gods, dragons, and humans, all beings have refuge in it; Not following their minds into false speech, this Dharma can remove all sins. Increasing all merits and virtues, freely illuminating the five paths; Fulfilling the wishes of all beings.'
At that time, the Supernatural Power King Bodhisattva bowed to the sacred wheel and returned to his original place, wholeheartedly upholding this inconceivable maha-panta-vidya (great all-knowing wisdom).

The Seven Stars Main Mudra, the Cintamani Wheel Main Mudra, the Long Recitation Mudra. If a person has any requests, or has illness and seeks longevity and fortune, or any wish in their heart, the corresponding star will surely fulfill their wishes. The Tathagata made a great vow in the world. Therefore, in this section, one should perform Homa (fire ritual). This cause and condition should use the Seven Stars for efficacy. This is very secret and should not be transmitted externally. This Dharma should be created for kings or ministers, but not for the common people or those with shallow understanding. Wu Bi (this means small bean food) Su Gu fragrant wood. Wei Si Duo Yi Ni (this means soybean food) Bo Zhi peach wood. Shen Chen Sa Po (this means hemp seed food) Bo Ci thorny wood. You Mao Su Wu Di (this means wheat food) Mi Su Di Wei wood. Xu Yin Sa Po Zhi (this means rice food) Sun Su Wu Kuai. Hai Chou Bo Yi Su (this means millet food) Zhou Ni (this means pagoda tree wood). Zi Sa Po Ye (this means broomcorn millet food) Jie Di (this means paulownia wood).
The Secret Essential Sutra of the Seven Stars Cintamani Wheel
On the tenth day of the second month of spring in the fifth year of Tenmei (Eto-Tsuchinoto-Mi), copied at Daion-ji Temple in Rakuhoku, from the Zojo-ji Temple collection. This Seven Stars Cintamani Wheel Sutra is attested by Choyu Shinmitsu Sho Hakusoshi Goju et al.
