如是我聞。一時佛在殑伽河側。與諸比丘及大菩薩無量天人大眾俱。爾時世尊告毗沙門等四天王言。有四種法甚可怖畏。若男若女童男童女。一切有情無能免者。所謂生老病死。于中一法最為遍惱。難可對治。所謂死怖。我愍是故說對治法。爾時四天王白佛言。世尊我於今日為獲大利。唯愿世尊為眾生故宣說是法。爾時世尊面向東方。彈指召集一切如來。作是誓言。所有十方一切如來應正等覺。為眾生故。證菩提者咸皆助我。令我以一切如來威神力故。悉令一切眾生轉非命業。使增壽命。我昔未為眾生轉此法輪。於今方轉。能令眾生壽命色力皆得成就無夭死怖。如是南西北方四維上下。召集驚告亦復如是。爾時十方盡佛眼所到。若干世界一切如來皆悉赴集。遍滿虛空數如微塵。爾時一切諸佛為加持故。異口同音。即說一切如來金剛壽命陀羅尼曰。

如是我聞。一時,佛在殑伽河(Ganga River,恒河)邊。與眾比丘及大菩薩、無量天人大眾在一起。當時,世尊告訴毗沙門(Vaiśravaṇa,多聞天王)等四大天王說:『有四種法非常可怕,無論是男人、女人、男孩、女孩,一切有情眾生都無法避免,那就是生、老、病、死。其中,死亡這一法最為普遍地困擾眾生,難以對治。我憐憫眾生,所以要說對治之法。』當時,四大天王稟告佛說:『世尊,我們今天能聽到此法真是獲得了大利益。只希望世尊爲了眾生的緣故,宣說此法。』當時,世尊面向東方,彈指召集一切如來,發誓說:『所有十方一切如來應正等覺,爲了眾生的緣故,證得菩提者,都來幫助我,讓我以一切如來的威神力,使一切眾生轉變非命之業,增長壽命。我過去未曾為眾生轉此法輪,現在才開始轉動,能使眾生的壽命、色相、力量都得到成就,沒有夭折的恐懼。』像這樣,南西北方、四維、上下,召集驚告也是如此。 當時,十方盡佛眼所能看到的若干世界,一切如來都來赴會聚集,遍滿虛空,數量如微塵。當時,一切諸佛爲了加持的緣故,異口同聲,就說一切如來金剛壽命陀羅尼,內容如下:

【English Translation】 English version The Sutra of the Dhāraṇī of the Vajra Longevity of All Tathāgatas, Spoken by the Buddha
Translated by the Tripiṭaka Śramaṇa Amoghavajra of the Da Guang Zhi Da Xing Shan Temple, holding the titles of Grand Master of the Three Divisions, Special Advanced Official of the Honglu Court, Duke Su of the State of Guo with a fief of three thousand households, granted the Purple Robe, posthumously awarded the title of Grand Minister of Works, with the posthumous name Dajian and the honorary title Da Guang Zhi, under Imperial Decree.
Thus have I heard. At one time, the Buddha was on the bank of the Ganga River (殑伽河). He was with many bhikṣus, great bodhisattvas, and countless devas and humans. At that time, the World-Honored One said to the Four Heavenly Kings, including Vaiśravaṇa (毗沙門): 'There are four kinds of dharmas that are very frightening. Whether male, female, boy, or girl, all sentient beings cannot avoid them. These are birth, old age, sickness, and death. Among them, death is the most pervasive affliction, difficult to counteract. I have compassion for sentient beings, therefore I will speak of the method to counteract it.' At that time, the Four Heavenly Kings said to the Buddha: 'World-Honored One, we have obtained great benefit today. We only hope that the World-Honored One will proclaim this dharma for the sake of sentient beings.' At that time, the World-Honored One faced the east, snapped his fingers, and summoned all the Tathāgatas, making this vow: 'All Tathāgatas, worthy of honor and perfect enlightenment, in the ten directions, who have attained bodhi for the sake of sentient beings, all assist me, so that by the majestic spiritual power of all Tathāgatas, all sentient beings may transform non-lifespan karma and increase their lifespan. I have not turned this Dharma wheel for sentient beings in the past; I am turning it now, enabling sentient beings to achieve lifespan, appearance, and strength, and to be free from the fear of premature death.' In this way, in the south, north, west, four intermediate directions, above, and below, the summoning and announcement were also done in the same way. At that time, in the countless worlds within the Buddha's range of vision in the ten directions, all the Tathāgatas came to assemble, filling the void, as numerous as dust motes. At that time, all the Buddhas, for the sake of bestowing blessings, spoke in unison the Dhāraṇī of the Vajra Longevity of All Tathāgatas, as follows:

Thus, all the Tathāgatas and Vajra-holding Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, having spoken this Dhāraṇī, disappeared and were no longer visible.
At that time, the Heavenly King Vaiśravaṇa (Guardian of the North) said to the Buddha: 'I also, by the Buddha's divine power, bless and protect all sentient beings. Except for taking life, I will speak this Dhāraṇī:'
Śivite (one) (Auspicious) śivitale (two) (Auspicious ground) lili (play).
At that time, the Heavenly King Virūḍhaka (Guardian of the South) again said to the Buddha: 'I also, by the Buddha's divine power, for the sake of many sentient beings, to remove untimely death, will speak this Dhāraṇī:'
Mātaṅgi (one) (Caṇḍāla woman) mātaṅgini (two) (Caṇḍāla woman) śuma śuma mu (three) (Quiet, quiet, silence).
At that time, the Heavenly King Dhṛtarāṣṭra (Guardian of the East) also said to the Buddha: 'I also, for the sake of all sentient beings, to remove the fear of death, will speak this Dhāraṇī:'

【English Translation】 English version The Buddha told the Four Heavenly Kings: 'If there are those who recite this sutra, upholding it daily, even just once, you should respect that good man or good woman. You should regard them as you would a Buddha, and they will ultimately not fall into the three evil realms, and their lifespan will certainly increase. If someone recites this sutra daily for all sentient beings, they will ultimately have no fear of premature death or short life, nor will they have fear of nightmares, being bewitched, curses, or evil-shaped Rakshasa (惡鬼) ghosts and spirits. They will also not be harmed by water, fire, weapons, or poison. All Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will embrace and protect that place, and it will also be protected by the Buddha.' At that time, after the World Honored One finished speaking this sutra, Vaisravana (毗沙門天王, one of the Four Heavenly Kings, guardian of the north) and all the great assembly were very happy, believed, accepted, and practiced it. 'The Sutra of the Buddha's Discourse on the Vajra Longevity Dharani of All Tathagatas'
