如是我聞。一時世尊安住菩提樹下。與大弟子舍利弗目犍連等而為上首。復有無量諸大菩薩摩訶薩。其名曰金剛幢菩薩。金剛藏菩薩。彌勒菩薩。賢劫大士亦為上首。爾時金剛密跡菩薩。承佛威神發如是言。惟愿世尊分別演說善門陀羅尼當爲世間作大照明。除滅怨害惡友毒心。若天龍夜叉羅剎鳩槃茶。人及非人諸大鬼神。啖人精氣左道蠱毒。怨家詐諂伺人短者。如是無有救護之處。如來大慈當爲除滅怖畏等事。安止眾生於清凈地。行住坐臥乃至夢中。常當守護不令憂惱。有是利故我今勸請。大悲調御當爲說之。亦當救護大乘人心。令其堅固功德智慧不退之行。悉除怨害命不中夭。爾時金剛密跡菩薩勸請佛已。瞻仰尊顏心有顧念。爾時世尊大悲導師。發大雷音聲遍世界。讚歎密跡菩薩。善哉善哉善男子。汝今真是菩薩之人。能為眾生得安樂故。發如是問。我今亦為一切眾生。當說此善門陀羅尼。爾時密跡喜未曾有。惟愿矜愍善分別之。於時世尊告大士言。諦聽諦聽善思念之。吾當為汝演暢其義。密跡言唯然受教。即說咒曰。

爾時,金剛密跡菩薩(Vajrapāṇi Bodhisattva),承蒙佛的威神之力,發出這樣的言語:『惟愿世尊分別演說善門陀羅尼,應當為世間作大照明,除滅怨害、惡友毒心。若天、龍、夜叉(Yakṣa,一種守護神)、羅剎(Rākṣasa,一種惡鬼)、鳩槃茶(Kumbhāṇḍa,一種守宮神),人及非人諸大鬼神,啖人精氣、左道蠱毒,怨家詐諂、伺人短者,如是無有救護之處。如來大慈,應當為除滅怖畏等事,安止眾生於清凈地,行住坐臥乃至夢中,常常守護不令憂惱。有是利益的緣故,我今勸請。大悲調御,應當為我們宣說此陀羅尼,也應當救護大乘人的心,令其堅固功德智慧不退之行,悉除怨害,命不中夭。』
爾時,金剛密跡菩薩勸請佛后,瞻仰佛的尊顏,心中有所顧念。爾時,世尊大悲導師,發出大雷音聲遍滿世界,讚歎密跡菩薩:『善哉善哉,善男子!你今真是菩薩之人,能為眾生得安樂的緣故,發出這樣的提問。我今也為一切眾生,當宣說此善門陀羅尼。』爾時,密跡菩薩歡喜未曾有,說:『惟愿您憐憫,善加分別解說。』
於時,世尊告訴大士說:『諦聽諦聽,好好地思念它,我當爲你詳細地闡述它的意義。』密跡菩薩說:『是的,我接受教誨。』即說咒曰:

【English Translation】 English version The Vajra Secret Good Door Dhāraṇī Sūtra
Record of Lost Translator's Name, Attached to the Eastern Jin Dynasty
Thus have I heard. At one time, the World-Honored One was dwelling under the Bodhi tree. With great disciples such as Śāriputra (舍利弗, foremost in wisdom among the Buddha's ten great disciples) and Maudgalyāyana (目犍連, foremost in supernatural powers among the Buddha's ten great disciples) as the leaders. There were also immeasurable great Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas, whose names were Vajradhvaja Bodhisattva (金剛幢菩薩), Vajragarbha Bodhisattva (金剛藏菩薩), Maitreya Bodhisattva (彌勒菩薩), and the great beings of the Bhadrakalpa (賢劫) also as leaders.
At that time, Vajrapāṇi Bodhisattva (金剛密跡菩薩), relying on the Buddha's majestic power, spoke these words: 'May the World-Honored One separately expound the Good Door Dhāraṇī, which should create great illumination for the world, eliminating grievances, harmful friends, and poisonous minds. If there are devas, nāgas, yakṣas (夜叉, a type of guardian deity), rākṣasas (羅剎, a type of demon), kumbhāṇḍas (鳩槃茶, a type of gourd-shaped spirit), humans and non-human great ghosts and spirits, those who devour human essence, perverse sorcery, enemies who deceive and flatter, those who seek others' shortcomings, there is no place of refuge for such beings. The Tathāgata's great compassion should eliminate fear and other such things, settling sentient beings in a pure land, constantly guarding them whether walking, standing, sitting, lying down, or even in dreams, not allowing them to be troubled. Because of these benefits, I now urge and request. The great compassionate tamer, should explain this dhāraṇī for us, and should also protect the minds of Mahāyāna practitioners, making their merits and wisdom firm and unretreating, completely eliminating grievances, and preventing premature death.'
At that time, after Vajrapāṇi Bodhisattva urged the Buddha, he gazed upon the Buddha's venerable face, with concerns in his heart. At that time, the World-Honored One, the great compassionate guide, emitted a great thunderous voice that filled the world, praising Vajrapāṇi Bodhisattva: 'Excellent, excellent, good man! You are truly a Bodhisattva, able to ask such questions for the sake of bringing peace and happiness to sentient beings. Now, for the sake of all sentient beings, I will expound this Good Door Dhāraṇī.' At that time, Vajrapāṇi Bodhisattva was overjoyed and said: 'May you have compassion and explain it clearly.'
At that time, the World-Honored One told the great being: 'Listen carefully, listen carefully, and contemplate it well. I will explain its meaning in detail for you.' Vajrapāṇi Bodhisattva said: 'Yes, I accept the teaching.' Then he spoke the mantra:

At that time, after the World Honored One finished speaking this Abhisheka Dharani, he further proclaimed the phrases of the Dharani:
Tadyatha (Thus it is), Vajra (Diamond Scepter), Vajra (Diamond Scepter), Vajradhari (Holder of the Diamond Scepter), Vajrapani (Holder of the Diamond Scepter), Vajravidhi (Diamond Method), Vajra-dati (Diamond Giving), Chakra-vartin (Wheel-turning King), Chakra-dhari (Holder of the Wheel), Dhari (Holder), Dhari (Holder), Vari (Water), Muri (Root), Chale (Move), Hihili (Sound), Paga (Foot), Pimpiri (Sound), Lili Niluluji (Sound), Chali (Move), Churi (Knife), Muri (Root), Mandari (Sound).

【English Translation】 English version: He spoke. At that time, when the World Honored One recited this dhāraṇī, from the Uṣṇīṣa (the protuberance on the crown of the Buddha's head) of his invisible crown, a light of the marks of a great man shone forth, illuminating the immeasurable worlds of the ten directions. At that time, the Buddha lands also naturally emitted light, with rare and beautiful colors, extinguishing all darkness. Then, the humans, devas, and other beings of the ten directions all saw this sign and developed a rare mind, all thinking, 'What is the cause and condition that this light, illuminating the world, appears?' At that time, all the Buddhas told the assembly, 'Good men, listen carefully. There is a Buddha world called Sahā (meaning 'able to be endured'), and the Buddha is named Śākyamuni Tathāgata. With great compassion, he pities all sentient beings and, for the sake of their peace and happiness, speaks this Dhāraṇī of the Gate of Goodness.' At that time, the assembly, hearing the Buddha speak of the majestic power of Śākyamuni Buddha, all uttered the same voice, praising Śākyamuni's rarity and goodness, praising him for being able to generate great compassion in the Sahā world, and for speaking this dhāraṇī for the peace of devas and humans. This dhāraṇī is rare and is proclaimed by the true wisdom of alakṣaṇa (without fixed form). We are willing to diligently practice it, and after obtaining it, we should also, like Śākyamuni Buddha, generate great compassion and teach sentient beings.' The Buddhas praised, 'Excellent! Excellent! Good men, those who wish to practice this Dhāraṇī of the Gate of Goodness should always brush their teeth and rinse their mouths in the morning, burn incense, scatter flowers, gather their minds, and recite it, not allowing their minds to wander into various realms.' Why? Because this dhāraṇī is held, spoken, and taught by the Buddhas of the three times (past, present, and future). You should remember and practice as instructed. Do not let the five pungent roots (garlic, onions, leeks, chives, and asafoetida) and meat and wine pass your lips. Maintain a pure conduct, eliminate worldly affairs, and then recite it in a quiet place, which will enable practitioners to obtain great merit and boundless wisdom. Those who wish to practice the Dhāraṇī of the Gate of Goodness should make a vow not to abandon or forget it until they become a Buddha, and always recite it once in the morning. If you seek present wishes, diligently practice it for seven days and seven nights, and there is nothing that will not be fulfilled, except for those who have heavy sins in the past, which cannot be completely eliminated in a short time. All other karmic obstacles will be eliminated, and you will be able to cultivate all good deeds up to Nirvāṇa (cessation), fully possessing the benefits of twenty kinds of merit. What are the twenty? They are: longevity, living out one's lifespan, fame, abundant resources, beautiful appearance, great strength, freedom from illness, courage and diligence, protection by the Buddhas, a gentle heart, assistance from the devas, and fulfillment of vows and practices.
善行。思甚深義精勤不怠。光顏怡悅相好具足。辯才無畏增滿善根是故世尊說此金剛秘密深奧善門陀羅尼。汝應憶念至誠修行。所以者何如此持者。于諸持中最為吉祥。
爾時金剛密跡菩薩。白佛言世尊。我今愍念擁護一切眾生。令得安樂除諸哀惱。不令諸惡得其便也。

爾時大梵天王及諸眷屬。即從座起偏袒右肩。合掌白佛言世尊。我今亦欲隨喜佐助。受持讀誦善門陀羅尼者。增長眾生壽命色力除其衰患。使無伺求得其便者。惟愿世尊加哀護助得如所愿。

當時,大梵天王(色界天之主)和他的眷屬,立即從座位上站起來,袒露右肩,合掌對佛說:『世尊,我現在也想隨喜讚歎和佐助受持、讀誦善門陀羅尼的人,增長眾生的壽命、色身和力量,消除他們的衰老和疾病,使那些伺機作惡的人無法得逞。惟愿世尊慈悲加哀護助,使我們能夠如願以償。』

如果有善男子、善女人想要修行此陀羅尼,常常在早晨清凈地洗漱完畢后,至誠地讀誦。
當時,釋提桓因(帝釋天)立即從座位上站起來,袒露右肩,合掌對佛說:『世尊,我現在也想擁護一切眾生,不讓各種惡人或非人……』
【English Translation】 English version: Performing good deeds, deeply contemplating profound meanings, diligently and tirelessly persevering, having a radiant and joyful countenance, possessing all the auspicious marks (the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks of a Buddha), having fearless eloquence, increasing and perfecting all good roots. Therefore, the World Honored One spoke this Vajra secret, profound Good Gate Dharani (a mnemonic device). You should remember and sincerely practice it. Why is this so? Because those who uphold this Dharani are the most auspicious among all upholders.
At that time, Vajra Guhyapati Bodhisattva (a Dharma protector) said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, I now have compassion for and protect all sentient beings, enabling them to attain peace and happiness, eliminating all sorrows and afflictions, and not allowing any evil to take advantage of them.'

At that time, the World Honored One praised Vajra Guhyapati, saying: 'Excellent! Excellent! Great being, you are able to speak this great powerful mantra, protecting all sentient beings, enabling them all to attain peace and security, increasing their essence and energy, and not allowing any evil humans or non-humans to seize their essence and energy, not allowing them to take advantage.'
At that time, Great Brahma King (the lord of the Form Realm) and his retinue immediately rose from their seats, bared their right shoulders, and joined their palms, saying to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, I now also wish to rejoice and assist those who uphold, recite, and chant the Good Gate Dharani, increasing the lifespan, complexion, and strength of sentient beings, eliminating their decline and suffering, and preventing those who seek to do evil from succeeding. May the World Honored One have compassion and protect us, so that we may achieve our wishes.'

If there are good men or good women who wish to practice this Dharani, they should always purify themselves by bathing and rinsing in the morning, and then sincerely recite it.
At that time, Shakra Devendra (the lord of the Trayastrimsa Heaven) immediately rose from his seat, bared his right shoulder, and joined his palms, saying to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, I now also wish to protect all sentient beings, not allowing any evil humans or non-humans...'
奪精氣得其便也。即說陀羅尼句多绖他 毗尼婆羅尼 婆大羅摩陵持 挃致置 瞿梨乾陀梨 婆羅摩羅汦 呵那摩耽多羅尼 大羅摩利尼 遮迦羅婆翅 睒婆梨 睒婆梨 莎呵。
行咒此法。常于晨朝清凈已至心讀誦。爾時四天王即從座起。偏袒右肩合掌向佛。而作是言我等亦欲擁護一切眾生。不令諸惡人非人。伺其惡者得其便也。

此咒常于晨朝清凈已。至心讀誦。爾時釋迦牟尼佛。即舉右手讚歎梵釋四天王言。善哉善哉汝等。善能宣說諸佛所持陀羅尼句。爾時世尊告金剛密跡菩薩。善男子若有得聞善門陀羅尼心無疑惑。能于晨朝清凈三業已。至心讀誦所得功德不可稱計。
