【English Translation】 English version Taisho Tripitaka Volume 20, No. 1156B, Orally transmitted by Master Tang to Monk Sozei No. 1156B Orally transmitted by Monk Sozei from Master Tang The First Fundamental Mudra of the Great Compassionate Dharani Cross the hands inside. Bring the two middle fingers together and erect them. Slightly bend the two index fingers behind the middle fingers like hooks. Bring the two little fingers and two thumbs together, erect them and slightly bend them to complete the mudra. 梵云嚩日羅(二合) (Vajra, meaning 'thunderbolt' or 'diamond scepter'). Tang translation: Five-pronged Vajra. The Second True Word of the Heart of All Tathagatas Place the hands with the left facing down and the right facing up, with the backs touching. Hook the middle fingers against each other and erect them like an axe to complete the mudra. 梵云跛羅戌 (Paraśu). 滿足句印
二地合針。二水內鉤。二火如寶。二風屈捻二空上。真言曰。

用左手掌心向上,置於胸前,展開五指。用右手掌心向下,覆蓋在左手之上,兩手掌心相合持平,這樣就結成了印。
梵語稱作摩訶尾你也(二合)馱羅尼(異)(Mahāvidyādhāraṇī),意為『大明總持』。
這是慈覺大師所傳的大隨求印。
內縛五股印也是。
尊勝佛頂印
兩手虛心合掌。彎曲兩個風指(食指),指甲相對。用兩個空指(拇指)捻住兩個風指的側面,如同彈指的姿勢(這是原本儀軌中的說法)。
文殊根本印
兩手虛心合掌。兩個火指(無名指)覆蓋。捻住兩個水指(小指)使指尖相抵,彎曲兩個風指橫放在兩個空指之上。另一種說法是內縛,兩個地指(中指)合併豎立,彎曲兩個風指橫放在兩個空指之上。
滿足句印
兩個地指(中指)指尖相合。兩個水指(小指)向內彎曲成鉤狀。兩個火指(無名指)如寶珠狀。兩個風指(食指)彎曲捻在兩個空指(拇指)之上。真言是:
阿尾羅吽欠(A vi ra hum kham)

【English Translation】 English version (Eighth Section)
With the left hand, palm facing up, place it in front of the chest, extending the five fingers. With the right hand, palm facing down, cover the left hand, joining the palms together evenly, and the mudra is formed.
In Sanskrit, it is called Mahāvidyādhāraṇī, meaning 'Great Bright Dharani'.
This is the Great Compassionate Dharani mudra transmitted by Master Jikaku.
The Inner Binding Five-Strand Mudra is also this.
Uṣṇīṣa Vijaya Buddha Mudra
Join the palms together with hollow space inside. Bend the two wind fingers (index fingers) so that the fingernails face each other. Use the two space fingers (thumbs) to pinch the sides of the two wind fingers, like a snapping gesture (this is from the original ritual text).
Mañjuśrī Fundamental Mudra
Join the palms together with hollow space inside. Cover with the two fire fingers (ring fingers). Pinch the two water fingers (little fingers) so that the tips touch each other, bend the two wind fingers horizontally on top of the two space fingers. Another version says to bind internally, join the two earth fingers (middle fingers) upright, bend the two wind fingers horizontally on top of the two space fingers.
Fulfillment Phrase Mudra
The tips of the two earth fingers (middle fingers) are joined together. The two water fingers (little fingers) are bent inward into a hook shape. The two fire fingers (ring fingers) are like jewels. The two wind fingers (index fingers) are bent and pinched on top of the two space fingers (thumbs). The mantra is:
A vi ra hum kham
Transmitted on the 22nd day of the third month of the 19th year of the Zhenguan era.
