中天竺輸婆迦羅奉 詔譯
爾時釋迦牟尼佛。在[彳*去]羅提耶山。與無量諸地藏菩薩十俱胝比丘比丘尼及天龍八部諸鬼神俱無量百千大眾圍繞而為說法。爾時大眾中有一大士名曰地藏。偏袒右肩右膝著地。合掌恭敬白佛言。我說神咒欲利益一切眾生。唯愿世尊欲說神咒。慈哀聽許。時佛告地藏菩薩言。汝等速說利益一切有情。
爾時地藏菩薩騰虛空讚歎歸命世尊。在空中亦現無量神通。以神口說咒曰。
唵闇摩他[口*闇]摩爾俱苾俱苾三曼多娑婆賀
次說心咒。
唵炎曼他啫娑婆賀
次心中心咒。
唵礘呬(二合)
才說此咒。十地等大菩薩。失本心迷惑。天龍八部藥叉鬼神驚走倒地。日月星宿失光隱蔽空。雨寶華繽紛。窮劫說咒力不可說盡。
次說畫像法。作聲聞形像。著袈裟端覆左肩。左手持盈華形。右手施無畏令坐蓮華。復居座大士像頂著天冠著袈裟。左手持蓮華茶。右手如先令安坐九品蓮臺(傳云九品者九重也亦云八葉中臺也)。
次說印咒印二羽三補吒。戒方內掌來去。咒曰。

【English Translation】 English version No. 1158 Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Ritual Translated by Sūbhakarasiṃha of Central India under Imperial Order At that time, Shakyamuni Buddha was at Gayasisa Mountain. He was surrounded by countless Ksitigarbha Bodhisattvas, ten kotis of Bhiksus, Bhiksunis, and Devas, Nagas, and various ghosts and spirits, along with countless hundreds of thousands of people, expounding the Dharma. At that time, among the assembly, there was a great being named Ksitigarbha. He bared his right shoulder, knelt on his right knee, joined his palms respectfully, and said to the Buddha: 'I wish to recite a divine mantra to benefit all sentient beings. I humbly request the World-Honored One to compassionately listen and permit me to recite this divine mantra.' Then the Buddha said to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva: 'Quickly recite it to benefit all sentient beings.' At that time, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva rose into the sky, praising and taking refuge in the World-Honored One. In the sky, he also manifested immeasurable supernatural powers. With his divine mouth, he recited the mantra: Om Amahta Ama Irkubei Kubei Samanta Svaha Next, the heart mantra is recited: Om Yamaanta Je Svaha Next, the heart-center mantra: Om Chihi (Two combined syllables) As soon as this mantra was recited, great Bodhisattvas of the tenth bhumi and others lost their original minds and became confused. Devas, Nagas, Yakshas, ghosts, and spirits were frightened and fell to the ground. The sun, moon, and stars lost their light and became hidden. Precious flowers rained down in profusion. The power of reciting this mantra could not be fully described even in endless kalpas. Next, the method of making an image is described. Make an image in the form of a Sravaka. Wearing a kasaya, properly covering the left shoulder. The left hand holds a full flower shape, the right hand bestows fearlessness, causing him to sit on a lotus flower. Again, place the image of the great being on the seat, wearing a heavenly crown and a kasaya. The left hand holds a lotus flower tea, the right hand as before, causing him to sit securely on a nine-grade lotus platform (it is said that the nine grades are nine layers, and it is also said to be the central platform of eight leaves). Next, the mudra and mantra are described. The mudra is two hands in samputa. The precepts are within the palm, coming and going. The mantra is: Om Yama Jili Svaha Next
說普供養印。二羽三補吒。禪智立來去。

次請贊印。二羽三補吒。進力來去次撥遣以觀手禪進彈。
復說成就法。若念得大福德。持阿迦木護摩七萬遍。若念得五穀成就。以稻實華護摩。若念他人福德。取得其家灶土護摩。若念得高位二德。以比哩華護摩。若念生生世世怨敵伏。以苦練木護摩。若念惡靈邪家伏。以毒味護摩。若念顛狂痾病除愈。蓮實草護摩。三萬遍。若念滅罪生善生身後生極樂以草護摩三萬遍。若念惡人咒咀還著本人。以苦草投火中護摩三萬遍。若念得無量榮果俸祿。白華鳥草護摩三萬遍。若念三昧辨財德者。以骨婁草護摩三萬遍。若念化度一切眾生令離苦得樂。以白芥子護摩三萬遍。若念化度無佛世界眾生。以尸迦草護摩三七萬遍。若念枯田畠五穀生者。加持古蔓菁。加持散。若愁萬病者。牛膝草護摩三萬遍。若愁三陰四熱種種病。以降干各門草護摩。若夫妻不和者。比罪草護摩三萬遍和合。若惡友善友相違者。藤葉草護摩三萬遍。若白月八日十四日。十五日以上法修必得成就。

【English Translation】 English version Now, I will speak of the Universal Offering Mudra (Pǔ gòngyǎng yìn): Form the Tri-pataka Mudra (sān bǔ chà yìn, a type of hand gesture) with both hands, and move the middle and little fingers back and forth.
Mantra:
'Om Namo Ratna Mani Svaha' (ōng nán rě mání suō pó hè)
Next, generally speaking of the General Mudra: Form the Tri-pataka Mudra with both hands, and move the index and ring fingers back and forth. The mantra is:
'Om Kakajiniye Svaha' (ōng [kǒu*jié] zhī nǐ yē suō pó(ér hé) hè)
Next is the Inviting Praise Mudra: Form the Tri-pataka Mudra with both hands, move the index and ring fingers back and forth, then perform the dispelling by flicking the fingers with the observation hand (guān shǒu, i.e., the thumb) and the meditation-advancing finger (chán jìn, i.e., the index finger).
Furthermore, I will speak of the methods for accomplishment: If one wishes to obtain great merit, perform a homa (hù mó, fire ritual) with Acacia wood (Ā jiā mù) 70,000 times. If one wishes to achieve a bountiful harvest of the five grains, perform a homa with rice and flowers. If one wishes to obtain the merit of others, take soil from the stove of their house and perform a homa. If one wishes to obtain high position and the two virtues (èr dé), perform a homa with Bili flowers (bǐ lī huá). If one wishes to subdue enemies in every lifetime, perform a homa with neem wood. If one wishes to subdue evil spirits and demonic families, perform a homa with poisonous substances. If one wishes to cure madness and illness, perform a homa with lotus seeds and grass 30,000 times. If one wishes to eradicate sins, generate goodness, and be reborn in the Pure Land in the afterlife, perform a homa with grass 30,000 times. If one wishes to return the curses of evil people to themselves, throw bitter grass into the fire and perform a homa 30,000 times. If one wishes to obtain immeasurable glory, fruits, and emoluments, perform a homa with white flowers and bird grass 30,000 times. If one wishes to obtain samadhi (sān mèi, meditative absorption) and eloquence, perform a homa with Costus root (gǔ lóu cǎo) 30,000 times. If one wishes to convert all sentient beings, enabling them to be free from suffering and attain happiness, perform a homa with white mustard seeds 30,000 times. If one wishes to convert sentient beings in worlds without Buddhas, perform a homa with Kusa grass (shī jiā cǎo) 77,000 times. If one wishes to bring forth the growth of the five grains in barren fields, bless ancient turnips (gǔ màn jīng), bless and scatter them. If one is worried about myriad illnesses, perform a homa with Achyranthes root 30,000 times. If one is worried about various illnesses such as three yin and four heat imbalances, perform a homa with Desmostachya bipinnata (jiàng gān gè mén cǎo). If a husband and wife are not harmonious, perform a homa with Bidens tripartita (bǐ zuì cǎo) 30,000 times to bring about harmony. If there is conflict between evil friends and good friends, perform a homa with vine leaves 30,000 times. If one practices the above methods on the eighth, fourteenth, or fifteenth day of the white month (bái yuè, referring to the first half of the lunar month), one will surely attain accomplishment.
