【English Translation】 English version The Yoga Ritual for the Offering to Manjushri Bodhisattva from the Vajrasekhara Sutra
Translated by Tripitaka Master Amoghavajra of Daxingshan Temple, with the title Kaifu Yitong Sansi Tejin Shihongluqing Su Guogong, enfeoffed with three thousand households, granted purple robe, posthumously awarded Sikong with the posthumous title Dajian and the honorary title Daguangzhi, under imperial decree.
I prostrate to the youthful and wondrous Manjushri (妙吉祥, Bodhisattva of Wisdom). I rely on Yoga to recite the mantra. The Vajra recitation of body, speech, and mind is the profound three secret doors of the Tathagata. The practitioner should arouse the heart of Samantabhadra (普賢心) and receive the Vajra precepts from the teacher. Without regard for one's own life, arouse compassion, then one can enter the wheel of liberation. One should receive the Samaya (三么耶, vows) from the teacher, the mudra (契印) and secret mantra as the sutra describes. Respect the Acharya (阿阇梨, teacher) as if he were the Buddha, and have deep respect for fellow practitioners. Whether in a mountain Aranya (阿蘭若, secluded place), by a flowing spring, bathing pond, or pleasing tree, On a mountain peak, in a stone cave, or beside a secluded tree, establish the mandala according to the original method. Adorn the pure chamber and place the principal deity, offering with all one's heart and dwelling in single-mindedness. Universally contemplate the ocean of Buddhas in the ten directions, offering and bowing at the feet of all the Tathagatas. In order to accomplish the Vajra of the three karmas, one should, in one's two hands, tongue, and heart, Visualize the five wisdom Vajra scepter, by this empowerment, all will be accomplished. Next, one should form the mudra called 'Awakening,' with both hands making Vajra fists, The thumb and wisdom finger hooking each other, the index and ring fingers erect, the two middle fingers leaning sideways to form awakening.
The Awakening Mantra says:
Om Vajra Tishtha (唵嚩日嚕(二合)底瑟姹(二合))
I pay homage to Akshobhya (阿閦, the Immovable Buddha) in the East, willing to sacrifice my body to seek non-retrogression. With my whole body prostrate on the ground, I bow with my heart, forming the Vajra palms and raising them above my head.
The mantra for seeking empowerment through self-sacrifice says:

接下來結文殊三摩耶(Manjusri Samaya,文殊誓言),雙手十指交叉成滿月狀,直伸出忍愿金剛劍,觀想自身如同妙吉祥(Manjusri,文殊菩薩)。

Next, again pay homage to the Buddhas of the ten directions, visualize the body being present before all the Buddhas, visualize the five wheels touching the ground in prostration, and constantly form the Vajra Samaya (vow).

Next, recite the mantra for accomplishing the wonderful, all sentient beings seek supreme matters, may all the Tathagatas bless them, quickly enabling them to achieve the unsurpassed path.
The mantra for accomplishing all sentient beings:
Om Sarva tathagata(trailing) shanti(compound) sarva sattvanam(trailing 3) sarva siddhaya(4) sampadikam(trailing 5) tathagata shishtha(compound trailing) dhi(6) ti(ding yi) pratidham(compound trailing 7)
Next, one should sit in the lotus position, straighten the body, purify the three karmas of body, speech, and mind, making them pure. Because the nature of all dharmas is pure, may this body of mine be pure and without defilement.
The mantra for purifying the three karmas:
Om Svabhava(compound) shuddha(trailing 1) sarva dharma(trailing 2) svabhava(compound) shuddho ham
Next, form the Manjusri Samaya (Manjusri vow), cross the ten fingers of both hands to form a full moon, straighten the patience and wish-fulfilling Vajra sword, and visualize the body as being equal to Manjusri (Wonderful Auspiciousness).

【English Translation】 English version: (Invocation) Sūratasattva (Threefold Combination)
Next, form the Vajra Subduing the Three Worlds mudra, visualizing your body as non-different from Trailokyavijaya (Conqueror of the Three Worlds). With the samatha (止,stopping) and vipassanā (觀,observing) hands, form the vajra fist, the dāna (檀,giving) and prajñā (慧,wisdom) fingers interlocked, and erect the advancement and strength fingers. Rotate to the right to ward off obstacles and then create a boundary, manifesting a wrathful form with a compassionate heart.
The mantra of Trailokyavijaya says:
Oṁ suṅbha suṅbha hūṁ gṛhṇa gṛhṇa hūṁ gṛhṇa gṛhṇa hūṁ hanādaya họḥ bhagavan vajra hūṁ phaṭ
Next, form the Lotus Samaya (Samaya, vow) mudra, in order to accomplish the practice of contemplation. Cross the ten fingers to form a lotus moon disc, with the dhyāna-prajñā (禪智,meditation-wisdom) and dāna-prajñā (檀慧,giving-wisdom) fingers erected and touching each other.
The mantra says:
Oṁ vajrapadma samayasattvam
Next, form the mudra for summoning all Rāhus (Rāhu, a demon star), with the samatha and vipassanā hands forming the vajra bond. Erect the forbearance and aspiration fingers (ring and little fingers) like mountain peaks, and use the advancement and strength fingers (middle fingers) like hooks to summon three times.
The mantra for summoning Rāhu says:
Oṁ sarvapāpakarana viśodhanavajrasattva samayāhūm
Next, form the Vajra Crushing Sins mudra, with the three hands (three fingers) joined and crossed inwards in the palm. Erect the forbearance and aspiration fingers (ring and little fingers) like banners, and crush and clap once for each recitation of the mantra. Visualize all the sins and karmas from beginningless time, numerous naked and black like demon forms. Recite the wonderful mantra for crushing sins, and crush and clap with the mudra to cause them to be annihilated.

The practitioner, wishing to enter the Vajra Samadhi (diamond concentration), should first abide in the Mudra (hand gesture) of Wonderful Observing Wisdom: The two hands of Samadhi (concentration) and Prajna (wisdom) are placed upwards and crossed, the fingers of effort, Dhyana (meditation), power, and wisdom support each other. By using this wonderful Mudra to cultivate Samapatti (equanimity), one immediately obtains the Tathagata's (Thus Come One's) immovable wisdom.
The practitioner then enters the four subtle Vajra (diamond/thunderbolt) contemplations. One should contemplate the exhaled and inhaled breath as white like milk, and the light from the tip of one's nose as bright and pure. Knowing its distance, it transforms into a five-wisdom Vajra (symbolizing the Vajra of five wisdoms). Entering from the nose, it pervades one's entire body. Recite this mantra:
『Om Sukshma (Sukshma, subtle) Vajra (Vajra, diamond/thunderbolt)』
Then contemplate this Vajra, gradually extending and expanding to pervade the entire Dharma Realm. Recite this mantra:
『Om Vipula (Vipula, vast) Vajra (Vajra, diamond/thunderbolt)』
Again, recite the following mantra, gradually contracting and reducing it to the size of one's own body. The mantra is:
『Om Samhara (Samhara, to gather) Vajra (Vajra, diamond/thunderbolt)』
Furthermore, empower it with a mantra, causing it to firmly abide and not scatter. The mantra is:
『Om Dridha (Dridha, firm) Tishtha (Tishtha, abide) Vajra (Vajra, diamond/thunderbolt)』
Next, enter the contemplation of the Four Immeasurable Minds. First, enter the Samadhi (concentration) of Immeasurable Loving-kindness. With sincere and pure mind, universally contemplate the six realms and the four forms of birth. All sentient beings possess the Tathagatagarbha (Tathagatagarbha, the womb of the Thus Come One), endowed with the three Vajras (diamond/thunderbolt) of body, speech, and mind. By the power of my cultivation of the three secrets, may all sentient beings be equal to Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. Having contemplated thus, recite the Great Loving-kindness Samadhi (concentration) mantra:
『Om Maha (Maha, great) Maitri (Maitri, loving-kindness) Sphara (Sphara, pervading)』
Next, one should enter the contemplation of compassion.
無量心。三摩地智。以悲愍心遍緣六道四生。一切有情沉溺生死苦海。不悟自心。妄生分別起種種分別隨煩惱。是故不達真如平等。如虛空超恒沙功德。以我修三密加持力故。愿一切有情等。同虛空藏菩薩如是觀已。即誦大悲三摩地真言曰。
唵摩賀(引)迦嚕拏(上)夜(引)娑頗(二合)啰
次應入喜無量心三摩地智。以清凈心遍緣六道四生。一切有情本來清凈。由心蓮華不染。客塵自性清凈。以我修三密功德力故。愿一切有情等同觀自在菩薩如是觀已。即誦大喜三摩地真言曰。
唵秫(詩聿反)馱缽啰(二合)謨(引)娜娑頗(二合)啰
次應入舍無量心三摩地智。以平等心遍緣六道四生。一切有情皆離我我所。離蘊界處及離能取所取。於法平等心本不生。性相空故。以我修三密功德力故。愿一切有情等同虛空庫菩薩如是觀已。誦大舍三摩地真言曰。
唵摩護(引)閉乞灑(二合引)娑頗(二合)啰
瑜伽者。由修習四無量心定。誦四無量真言。于未來世所有人天種種魔業障難悉皆除滅。身中頓集無量福。聚心得調柔堪任自在。行者應修阿薩頗那伽法。修此法者。不動支節止出入息。令其微細勿使散亂。即應觀于虛空一切諸佛。猶如胡麻遍滿十方。以金剛彈指告行者言。

With a compassionate mind, universally contemplate the six realms and four forms of birth (referring to the six realms and four types of life in which beings transmigrate). All sentient beings (sentient beings) are immersed in the sea of suffering of birth and death, not realizing their own minds, falsely generating discriminations, giving rise to various discriminating afflictions. Therefore, they cannot attain the equality of Tathata (Tathata, the true nature of things), like the void surpassing merits as numerous as the sands of the Ganges. By the power of my practice of the three secrets of body, speech, and mind, may all sentient beings be equal to Akasagarbha Bodhisattva (Akasagarbha Bodhisattva). All sentient beings are free from 'I' and 'mine' (my possessions), free from the five skandhas (skandhas, the five aggregates that constitute an individual), the twelve ayatanas (ayatanas, sources and objects of sensation), the eighteen dhatus (dhatus, sense organs, objects, and consciousness), and free from the grasper and the grasped (the subject that cognizes and the object that is cognized). 行者應了了諦觀。不久當見清凈菩提心。離諸塵垢凈如滿月。即誦菩提心真言曰。

想菩提月中有曇字。如金色輝曜如日放大光明。便即變成般若波羅蜜劍。離諸分別能斷煩惱智劍。真言曰。

The mantra says: 『Om Sarva Tathagata Padavandanam Karomi』 Having finished prostrating, he attentively observes his original mind and reports to all the Buddhas, saying, 『The mind-essence has no substance; how can it be cultivated and realized?』 The Buddhas tell the practitioner, 『Good man, observe the moon disc in your heart as if it were in a light mist.』 Then recite the Pure Bodhi mantra, attentively observing the heart-moon. The mantra says: 『Om Citta Prati Vedam Karomi』 The practitioner should clearly and attentively observe. Before long, he will see the pure Bodhi-mind, free from all defilements, as pure as a full moon. Visualize your wisdom sword gradually transforming into Mañjuśrī Kumārabhūta Bodhisattva (Mañjuśrī Kumārabhūta Bodhisattva). The Bodhisattva possesses great majesty and virtue, adorned with various ornaments, and visualize five tufts of hair on the head. The right hand holds the wisdom sword, and the left hand holds a blue lotus flower, on which there is a Prajñāpāramitā Sutra (Prajñāpāramitā Sutra) scripture clip. The body color is like turmeric. Silently recite 'A ra pa ca na' once in your heart.

【English Translation】 English version: The fire wheel intertwines in the palm, holding the water wheel. Two winds encircle and curve, like the vast emptiness, its form like a hook, forming a close mudra (seal). And its function pervades one's own parts, then one can cultivate various undertakings.
The fundamental mantra of the Dharma body of the Great Sage Manjushri Bodhisattva (Bodhisattva of Wisdom) says:
Namo sarva tathāgatebhyo viśva mukhebhyaḥ om kumāra rūpiṇi viśva sambhava āgaccha āgaccha la hula hulu hūm hūm hūm nairātmye manjushriye susriye tāraya mam sarva dukhebhyo phat phat śamaya śamaya āmrta udaka udbhava pāpam me nāśaya svāhā.

Next, the practitioner should visualize in front of their seat, an eight-petaled lotus flower complete with filaments and pistils. A Samatha-Vipassanā (止觀) lion's wondrous high seat, upon the seat is also a seven-jeweled pavilion. In the mind, visualize the Seven-Jeweled Lotus King, above visualize the syllable 『Tam』 (曇), possessing majestic light. Illuminating the entire Dharma Realm (法界), without anywhere not pervaded. This syllable transforms into a Vajra (金剛) weapon. Clearly and attentively visualize it in its original form, summoning the Bodhisattva (菩薩) to enter the visualized body. Both hands form the shape of the moon, extending forward like a hook. Visualize the body as being identical to that Bodhisattva. Next, form the Great Vajra Hook Mudra (金剛鉤大印), this is the wisdom of summoning all Tathagatas (如來). Samadhi (定) and Prajna (慧) merge together, the outer form crosses, the progress is like a hook uniquely bent three times.
The Vajra Bodhisattva Mantra says:
Om Ah (departing sound) Ye Hi (sound different, reversed Ruo)
Next, form the Great Vajra Rope Mudra (金剛索大印), drawing the honored body into achieving the wisdom body. The Samadhi degree of the previous Mudra enters the Samadhi palm, the strength and wisdom are mutually twisted together like a ring. Next, one should form the Rope Mudra entering the honored body, forming the moon, the Samadhi spirit, and wisdom entering the palm. Due to the blessing of this secret Mudra, it transforms into one body without difference.
The Vajra Rope Mantra says:

Next, form the Vajra Hook Lock Mudra (金剛鉤鎖印), which can cause the honored one to firmly abide. Samadhi-wisdom, progress-strength mutually hook and bind, this is named the Vajra Able to Stop Mudra. Next, one should form the Lock Mudra, making it firm, forming the shape of the moon, four degrees like a ring. Due to the power of this secret Mudra, it completely makes it firm and unchangeable.
The Vajra Lock Mantra says:

Next, form the Wondrous Sound Vajra Mudra (金剛妙聲印), which can cause all the sages to rejoice. Samadhi-wisdom bends into the Vajra Binding, this is named the Vajra Joyful Mudra. Next, form the Bell Mudra, causing them to rejoice, Samadhi-wisdom enters the palm like a bell. Causing the honored one and the assembly to rejoice, blessing them to quickly and wonderfully achieve.

The mantra is: Om Vajro (two combined) Daka Hum (elongated) Next, form the Manjushri Karma Mudra: Both hands make vajra fists, the Samadhi feather (left hand) is placed on one's own heart, the Prajna feather (right hand) is like holding a sword. By the power of this Karma Mudra, the body is no different from the principal deity. 【English Translation】 English version: 『The garland hangs down from the navel, by forming the Vajra Singing Mudra, one quickly obtains the Perfection of Patience (Kshanti Paramita).』 The Vajra Singing Mantra says: 『Om shuru (two combined) tratra (two combined) hrim khih』. 『Next, form the Vajra Dance Offering, with both hands in fists, rotating like dancing. By the power of the dance mudra, one quickly fulfills the Perfection of Diligence (Virya Paramita).』 The Vajra Dance Mantra says: 『Om sarva bhuye』. 『Next, form the Vajra Outer Offering, with the bound mudra at the heart, scattering downwards. By the power of the incense offering mudra, one will attain the Perfection of Meditation (Dhyana Paramita).』 The Vajra Incense Offering Mantra says: 『Om pra (two combined) ha la (two combined) ni (ni yi reverse) hrih』. 『Next, form the Vajra Flower Scattering Mudra, with the bound mudra released upwards like scattering flowers. If a practitioner violates the Samaya (vow), if their contemplation is unclear, or if they commit faults such as lethargy or agitation, by reciting and empowering this mantra, they can attain superior merits, compensate for previous faults so they do not become obstacles, increase power, and quickly correspond with Samadhi (meditative absorption). Do not disperse the previous mudra (hand gesture), carefully observe the Ishtadevata (personal deity) in front of you, and visualize yourself as being no different from the deity, observing clearly. It is also appropriate to place this mudra in front of your heart and recite the five-syllable Dharani (mantra):
Ah (upper) Ra Pa Cha Na
The practitioner, with Vajra (diamond) speech or Lotus speech, clearly recites this five-syllable mantra seven times or twenty-one times, empowering the four places (crown, throat, heart, navel), and then dispersing the mudra on the crown. Then take the rosary, coil it in the palm, and empower it seven times with the thousand-turn mantra. The mantra is:

Then, with both hands holding the rosary, abide in the Samadhi of the Ishtadevata in front of the heart, reciting neither too slowly nor too quickly, either one hundred and eight times, or one thousand, or even ten thousand times. After completing the recitation, hold the rosary with both hands and place it on the crown of the head, then place it back in its original place. If reciting in Samadhi, then visualize the Mahādarśa-jñāna (Great Mirror Wisdom) in the heart, with the five syllables arranged within it, observing clearly, corresponding with the meaning, and uniting the mind with Prajnaparamita (Perfection of Wisdom). 用這個真言護身、辟除、結界,凈化各種香花以及一切供具等等。
當愿眾生遇到此教,文殊(Manjushri,文殊菩薩)常為善知識,速證般若善巧智,疾成無上兩足尊。

【English Translation】 English version: He (referring to someone) (qu yin) Nu (transliteration) E (transliteration) 𦽆 Ca (transliteration) Tuo Hong (transliteration, two combined) Mu Tuo (transliteration) Wei Sha Yan (transliteration) (five) Bu Nang (transliteration) La Ge (transliteration) (six) Ma Nang (transliteration, yin) Ye Du (transliteration) Om (transliteration) Wa Ri La (transliteration, two combined, yin) Di (transliteration, Ding yi fan yin) Qi Shi Nu (transliteration, three combined) Mu.
After performing this ritual, empower it again with the Samaya Mudra and mantra. Empower the four places with the mantra and mudra. Then perform the Abhisheka (灌頂, empowerment), wear the Vajra armor. According to the previous four prostrations, prostrate to the Buddhas of the four directions, repent, make vows, etc. Then, in a quiet place, adorn it with incense and flowers, and abide in the Samadhi of the principal deity. Recite the extensive and vast Mahayana scriptures, such as the Great Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, and even the Manjushri Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, etc. Walk around at will.
'The Great Perfection of Wisdom Sutra' and even two words, cultivate diligently day and night, at all four times, attain the Land of Joy in this life, and achieve perfect enlightenment in the next sixteen lives.
The Wrathful Mantra of Manjushri (文殊師利, Bodhisattva of Wisdom) says:
Om (transliteration) Vajra (transliteration, two combined) Tikshna (transliteration, three combined) Kuru (transliteration, two combined) Dhachin (transliteration, rising tone) Na (transliteration) Hum (transliteration, yin) Phat (transliteration, half sound).
Use this mantra to protect the body, ward off evil, establish boundaries, and purify all kinds of incense, flowers, and all offerings, etc.
May all sentient beings encounter this teaching, may Manjushri (文殊師利, Bodhisattva of Wisdom) always be a good spiritual friend, quickly attain the skillful wisdom of Prajna (般若, wisdom), and swiftly become the unsurpassed two-legged venerable one.
