佛說大吉祥天女十二名號經

開府儀同三司特進試鴻臚卿肅國公食邑三千戶賜紫贈司空謚大鑒正號大廣智大興善寺三藏沙門不空奉　詔譯

如是我聞。一時薄伽梵。在安樂世界。爾時觀自在菩薩。來詣佛所頭面禮佛足退坐一面。

爾時大吉祥天女菩薩摩訶薩。亦往佛所稽首佛足退坐一面。

爾時世尊。為欲利益薄福貧窮諸有情故。見吉祥天女。告觀自在菩薩言。若有苾芻苾芻尼近事男近事女。及彼一切有情之類。知此大吉祥天女十二名號。受持讀誦修習供養為他宣說。能除一切貧窮業障。獲得豐饒財寶富貴。爾時會中一切天龍八部。異口同音咸作是言。世尊所說真實不虛。我等愿聞十二名號。唯愿世尊大悲演說。佛言汝當善聽。今為汝說所謂。

吉慶　吉祥　蓮華　嚴飾　具財　白色　大名稱　大光曜　施食者　施飲者　寶光　大吉

是十二名號。汝當受持。我今復說是吉祥言曰。

怛你也(二合)他室哩(二合)抳室哩(二合)抳(二)薩嚩迦哩野娑馱𩕳悉𩕳悉𩕳𩕳𩕳𩕳𩕳阿落乞史茗　曩舍野　娑嚩(二合引)訶

爾時世尊說是陀羅尼已。告觀自在菩

如是我聞。一時，薄伽梵（Bhagavan，世尊）在安樂世界。當時，觀自在菩薩來到佛的住所，以頭面禮拜佛足，然後退坐在一旁。

當時，大吉祥天女菩薩摩訶薩也來到佛的住所，稽首佛足，退坐在一旁。

當時，世尊爲了利益那些福薄貧窮的眾生，見到吉祥天女，告訴觀自在菩薩說：『如果有比丘、比丘尼、近事男、近事女，以及其他一切有情眾生，知道這大吉祥天女的十二名號，受持、讀誦、修習、供養，併爲他人宣說，就能消除一切貧窮的業障，獲得豐饒的財寶和富貴。』當時，法會中的一切天龍八部，異口同聲地說：『世尊所說真實不虛。我們願意聽聞這十二名號。唯愿世尊大發慈悲，為我們演說。』佛說：『你們應當好好聽著。現在為你們說這十二名號：』

吉慶、吉祥、蓮華、嚴飾、具財、白色、大名稱、大光曜、施食者、施飲者、寶光、大吉。

『這十二名號，你們應當受持。我現在再說這吉祥真言：』

怛你也（二合）他室哩（二合）抳室哩（二合）抳（二）薩嚩迦哩野娑馱𩕳悉𩕳悉𩕳𩕳𩕳𩕳𩕳阿落乞史茗曩舍野娑嚩（二合引）訶

【English Translation】 English version The Sutra of the Twelve Names of the Great Auspicious Goddess Spoken by the Buddha

Translated by the Tripiṭaka Śramaṇa Amoghavajra of the Da Guangzhi Da Xing Shansi Temple, who was appointed by imperial decree as the Minister of Public Works, with the title of Duke of Su of the State, entitled to a fief of three thousand households, granted purple robes, posthumously awarded the title of Grand Preceptor of the Court, and posthumously honored with the title of Da Jian.

Thus have I heard. At one time, the Bhagavan (World Honored One) was in the World of Bliss. At that time, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva came to the Buddha's place, bowed his head to the Buddha's feet, and withdrew to sit on one side.

At that time, the Great Auspicious Goddess, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva, also went to the Buddha's place, prostrated herself at the Buddha's feet, and withdrew to sit on one side.

At that time, the World Honored One, wishing to benefit sentient beings with little merit and who are poor, seeing the Auspicious Goddess, said to Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva: 'If there are bhikṣus, bhikṣuṇīs, upāsakas, upāsikās, and all other sentient beings who know these twelve names of the Great Auspicious Goddess, and who uphold, recite, study, make offerings, and proclaim them to others, they will be able to eliminate all karmic obstacles of poverty and obtain abundant wealth and riches.' At that time, all the devas, nāgas, and eight classes of beings in the assembly said in unison: 'What the World Honored One has said is true and not false. We wish to hear the twelve names. We beseech the World Honored One to compassionately expound them.' The Buddha said: 'You should listen well. Now I will tell you the so-called:'

Auspicious Celebration, Auspiciousness, Lotus, Adornment, Possessing Wealth, White, Great Name, Great Radiance, Giver of Food, Giver of Drink, Jewel Light, Great Auspiciousness.

'These are the twelve names, you should uphold them. Now I will repeat the auspicious mantra:'

Tadyathā: Śrīṇi Śrīṇi Sarva Kārya Sādhani Siddhi Siddhi Siddhi Siddhi Siddhi Siddhi Arakṣmi Naśaya Svāhā

At that time, after the World Honored One spoke this dhāraṇī, he said to Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva:

薩言。此大吉祥陀羅尼及十二名號。能除貧窮一切不祥。所有愿求。皆得圓滿。若能晝夜三時讀誦此經。每時三遍。或常受持不間。作饒益心隨力虔誠供養大吉祥天女菩薩。速獲一切財寶豐樂吉祥。時觀自在菩薩及諸大眾天龍八部。從佛聞說十二名號及真言。嘆未曾有。皆大歡喜。信受奉行。

【現代漢語翻譯】現代漢語譯本：薩言。這個大吉祥陀羅尼以及十二個名號，能夠消除貧窮和一切不祥，所有願望和祈求，都能夠得到圓滿。如果能夠晝夜三個時辰讀誦此經，每個時辰三遍，或者經常受持而不間斷，以饒益之心，隨自己的能力虔誠地供養大吉祥天女菩薩（Mahasri），就能迅速獲得一切財寶豐饒和吉祥。當時觀自在菩薩（Avalokiteśvara）以及諸位大眾、天龍八部，聽聞佛陀宣說十二名號以及真言，嘆爲前所未有，都非常歡喜，信受奉行。

【English Translation】 English version: Thus I have heard. This great auspicious Dharani and the twelve names can eliminate poverty and all misfortunes. All wishes and requests can be fulfilled. If one can recite this sutra three times during the day and night, three times each time, or constantly uphold it without interruption, with a mind of benefiting others, and sincerely make offerings to Mahasri (Great Auspicious Goddess) according to one's ability, one will quickly obtain all wealth, abundance, and auspiciousness. At that time, Avalokiteśvara (The Bodhisattva of Compassion) and all the assembly, including the eight classes of gods and dragons, having heard the Buddha speak of the twelve names and the mantra, exclaimed that they had never heard of such a thing before. They were all very happy, believed, accepted, and practiced it accordingly.
