爾時佛住王舍城竹林精舍。為諸人天演說法要。時有大藥叉女名曰歡喜。容貌端嚴。有五千眷屬。常住支那國護持世界。是娑多大藥叉將之女。娉半支迦大藥叉將(昔雲散脂者訛)生五百子。有大威力。與諸眷屬來詣佛所退坐一面。佛告歡喜母。汝今可受如來教敕。我欲令汝舍除暴惡護諸有情。此王舍城及贍部洲。一切女人所生男女皆施無畏。時歡喜母白佛言。世尊若如是者我及諸子當於何食。佛言汝但慈心不害有情。我當敕諸聲聞弟子。每於食次常與汝食。並於行末置一分食。呼汝名字並諸子等皆令飽滿。若有餘食汝可回施一切鬼神。皆悉運心令其飽足。時歡喜母白佛言。世尊我今歸命如來。奉佛教敕不敢違越。王舍大城及諸國土。一切人民所生男女。我皆擁護令其安樂。不令一切諸惡鬼神得其便也。惟愿如來護念於我。佛言善哉善哉歡喜母。汝今可於如來善法律中。受持三歸五戒。令汝長夜解脫諸苦獲大安樂。所謂歸佛法僧不殺生

【English Translation】 English version The Great Yakṣiṇī Nandā and Her Beloved Children Accomplishment Sūtra (Also known as the Hārītī Sūtra)
Translated by the Tripiṭaka Master Bukong (Amoghavajra) of the Daxingshan Temple, who held the titles of Grand Master of the Three Departments, Special Advanced Official of the Honglu Temple, Duke of the State of Su, with a fief of three thousand households, bestowed with purple robes, posthumously awarded the title of Grand Minister of Works, with the posthumous title of Dajian and the honorary title of Greatly Wise,奉 詔譯 under imperial decree.
At that time, the Buddha was residing in the Bamboo Grove Monastery (Veṇuvana-vihāra) in Rājagṛha, expounding the essential teachings of the Dharma to humans and devas. There was a great yakṣiṇī (female yakṣa) named Nandā (Joyful), with a dignified and beautiful appearance, and she had five thousand attendants. She constantly resided in Cīna (China), protecting the world. She was the daughter of the great yakṣa-senāpati (yaksha general) Sāta, and she married the great yakṣa-senāpati Pañcika (formerly translated as Sanzhi, which is incorrect), and gave birth to five hundred sons, all of whom possessed great power. She and her attendants came to where the Buddha was and sat down to one side. The Buddha said to Nandā: 'Now you can receive the Tathāgata's teachings and commands. I want you to abandon violence and protect all sentient beings. For all the men and women born in this city of Rājagṛha and Jambudvīpa (the continent where we live), you should give them fearless protection.' At that time, Nandā said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, if that is the case, what will my children and I eat?' The Buddha said: 'As long as you have a compassionate heart and do not harm sentient beings, I will command all the Śrāvaka (hearer) disciples to always give you a portion of food each time they eat, and to place a portion of food at the end of the meal, calling your name and the names of all your children, so that they may all be satisfied. If there is any food left over, you can give it back to all the ghosts and spirits, and mentally wish them to be satisfied.' At that time, Nandā said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, I now take refuge in the Tathāgata, and I will follow the Buddha's teachings and dare not disobey. I will protect all the men and women born in the great city of Rājagṛha and all countries, so that they may have peace and happiness, and not allow any evil ghosts and spirits to take advantage of them. I only wish that the Tathāgata would protect me.' The Buddha said: 'Good, good, Nandā. Now you can receive and uphold the Three Refuges (triratna, Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) and the Five Precepts (pañca-śīlāni, no killing, no stealing, no sexual misconduct, no lying, no intoxicants) in the Tathāgata's good laws, so that you may be liberated from all suffering and obtain great happiness for a long night.' The so-called taking refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha, and not killing.

【English Translation】 English version: 『Life. Even abstaining from all kinds of intoxicants, this is what you should learn. You should accept and uphold this.』 At that time, Hārītī (歡喜母, Mother of Joy) received the Three Refuges and the Five Precepts, joyfully circumambulated the Buddha three times, and said to the Buddha: 『World Honored One, I have now received the protection and blessing of the Tathāgata (如來, Thus Come One). I possess a self-mind dhāraṇī (陀羅尼, a type of mantra or sacred formula), which can eliminate all disasters and terrors. If anyone upholds this chapter and verse, all my family members will always protect them, enabling them to obtain peace and happiness. May the Tathāgata allow me to proclaim it.』 The Buddha said: 『Speak as you wish.』 At that time, Hārītī then spoke this dhāraṇī before the Buddha:

World-Honored One, this Dharani (Dharani, a type of Buddhist mantra or incantation) of mine has great power, like a Cintamani jewel (Cintamani, a wish-fulfilling jewel), it can fulfill all kinds of wishes. Only the Tathagata (Tathagata, one of the titles of the Buddha) and all the Bodhisattvas (Bodhisattva, a person who is on the path to Buddhahood) can attest to and know me (my merits). The Buddha said: 'Joyful Mother (the Joyful Mother), you are able to benefit sentient beings, protect my Dharma (Dharma, the teachings of the Buddha), and proclaim this Dharani. In the future, my disciples, I entrust to you to protect, so that they may all be peaceful and happy.' At that time, the Joyful Mother said to the Buddha: 'According to the Buddha's holy will, I shall follow it. World-Honored One, if one wishes to accomplish this Dharani practice, first on white wool (a type of woolen fabric) or silk, according to its size, draw my Joyful Mother, draw her as a celestial maiden, and make her extremely beautiful. Her body is white with a reddish hue, wearing celestial silk and precious garments, wearing a jeweled crown on her head, earrings on her ears, using white conch shells as bracelets, and adorning her body with various kinds of necklaces. Let her sit on a jeweled platform, with her right foot hanging down. On both sides of the platform, draw two children next to her knees. Her left hand holds a child in her bosom, named Biriyunka (Biriyunka), draw him extremely dignified. Her right hand is near her breast, holding a auspicious fruit in her palm. On her left and right sides, draw attendant maidens and retinues, some holding white whisks, some holding adornment implements. The person drawing the image should bathe cleanly, wear new and clean clothes, and observe the eight precepts (Astanga-sila, a type of Buddhist precepts). After drawing it according to the Dharma, in a secret room, clean it and make a square altar of four cubits. One should take pure-colored cow dung (Gomaya) from a cow, receive it with a vessel, mix it with incense, and smear it according to the Dharma. 西。其持誦者壇西面東對像唸誦。或四時三時乃至一時不應間闕。若有間斷法即難成。亦不得誦金剛部真言及諸雜念誦。恐難成就。每時誦一百八遍為常。正念誦時不應雜共人語令真言間斷。不成遍數虛費功力。若欲成就此法。從白月一日五日及十六日二十日起首。依前儀軌對此像前誦。滿一萬遍即成先行。必須慎密勿使人。知勿對人前誦此真言。若能依教專注密修。歡喜母必現其身。滿修行者所愿。作此唸誦必不得與人結怨。恐損彼人成不饒益。若得成就已所獲財寶。應須廣行檀施不應慳吝。若欲令歡喜母速來現身。修行者專想此母常不離心。又于唸誦處及所居處。必須清凈不用燈明。又常燒沉香。唯自獨處無間唸誦。亦不應恐怖。歡喜母必來現身。若得來已漏泄人知必招其禍。若來現身亦不應共語。但至心念誦更加如法供養。后必數來告行者言。令我何所作為。或留瓔珞環釧寶莊嚴具。若留必須便用不得停留。亦不與語。如是久久淳熟方可與語。即請為母或為姊妹。不應于彼生貪染心。設彼聖者有染欲意必不應受。若受必生彼族難得解脫。持誦者每於自所食物。先減一分凈食。以心真言加持七遍。食了持于凈處瀉之。常得擁護不離左右誦心真言曰。

【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本:持誦此真言者,應在壇的西面,面向東方,對著歡喜母(Śrīdevī)的畫像唸誦。或者每日四次、三次乃至一次,不應中斷。若有中斷,此法便難以成就。也不得誦金剛部(Vajra)的真言以及其他雜亂的唸誦,恐怕難以成就。每次唸誦一百零八遍為常。專心念誦時,不應與他人交談,令真言中斷,這樣不成遍數,虛費功力。若想成就此法,從白月(Śuklapakṣa)的初一、初五、十六、二十日開始,依照之前的儀軌,對著此畫像前唸誦。滿一萬遍,即成就先行。必須謹慎保密,不要讓人知道,不要在人前唸誦此真言。若能依照教導,專注秘密地修持,歡喜母(Śrīdevī)必定會顯現其身,滿足修行者所愿。作此唸誦,切記不可與人結怨,恐怕損害他人,成不饒益。若得成就,已獲得的財寶,應當廣行佈施,不應慳吝。若想令歡喜母(Śrīdevī)快速顯現其身,修行者應專心想著此母,常不離心。又在念誦之處及所居住之處,必須清凈,不用燈明。又常燒沉香。唯獨自己一人,無間斷地念誦,也不應恐怖。歡喜母(Śrīdevī)必定會來顯現其身。若得來后,泄露給人知道,必定招致禍患。若來現身,也不應與她交談,但至心念誦,更加如法供養。之後必定多次前來,告訴修行者說:『讓我做什麼?』或者留下瓔珞、環釧、寶莊嚴具。若留下,必須便用,不得停留。也不與她說話。這樣久久純熟,方可與她說話。即請她為母,或為姊妹。不應於她生貪染之心。假設彼聖者有染欲之意,必定不應接受。若接受,必定生於彼族,難以解脫。持誦者每次對於自己所食之物,先減去一分乾淨的食物,以心真言加持七遍,食了之後,持到乾淨的地方傾瀉。常得擁護,不離左右。誦心真言曰: 『唵 弩弩 么(鼻音)里迦(引)呬諦 娑嚩(二合)賀(引)』
English version: The one who recites this mantra should face east on the west side of the altar, reciting in front of the image of Śrīdevī (Goddess of Fortune). Or four times, three times, or even once a day, without interruption. If there is an interruption, this practice will be difficult to accomplish. One should also not recite the Vajra (Diamond) mantras or other miscellaneous recitations, for fear of making it difficult to achieve. Reciting one hundred and eight times each time is the norm. When reciting attentively, one should not talk to others, causing the mantra to be interrupted, which would not complete the count and waste effort. If you want to accomplish this practice, start from the first, fifth, sixteenth, or twentieth day of the bright fortnight (Śuklapakṣa), and recite in front of this image according to the previous ritual. After completing ten thousand recitations, the preliminary practice is accomplished. It must be kept secret and not be made known to others, and this mantra should not be recited in front of others. If one can practice diligently and secretly according to the teachings, Śrīdevī (Goddess of Fortune) will surely manifest her body and fulfill the practitioner's wishes. When performing this recitation, remember not to make enemies with others, lest it harm them and become unbeneficial. If one attains accomplishment, the wealth and treasures one has obtained should be generously given in charity and not be stingy. If you want Śrīdevī (Goddess of Fortune) to manifest her body quickly, the practitioner should focus on this mother, constantly keeping her in mind. Also, the place of recitation and the place of residence must be clean, without the use of lamps. Also, always burn agarwood. Only recite alone without interruption, and do not be afraid. Śrīdevī (Goddess of Fortune) will surely come and manifest her body. If she comes and it is revealed to others, it will surely bring disaster. If she manifests her body, one should not talk to her, but recite wholeheartedly and make offerings according to the Dharma. Afterwards, she will surely come many times and tell the practitioner: 'What do you want me to do?' Or leave behind necklaces, bracelets, and precious ornaments. If she leaves them, they must be used immediately and not kept. Also, do not speak to her. Only after a long time of purity and familiarity can you speak to her. 【English Translation】 Modern Chinese translation: Those who uphold and recite this mantra should face east on the west side of the altar, reciting in front of the image of Śrīdevī (Goddess of Fortune). One should also not recite the Vajra (Diamond) mantras or other miscellaneous recitations, for fear of making it difficult to achieve. Reciting one hundred and eight times each time is the norm. When reciting attentively, one should not talk to others, causing the mantra to be interrupted, which would not complete the count and waste effort. If you want to accomplish this practice, start from the first, fifth, sixteenth, or twentieth day of the bright fortnight (Śuklapakṣa), and recite in front of this image according to the previous ritual. They will surely attain accomplishment. Either the Holy One will manifest in person, or the rosary or offering implements will be blessed. Pray for superior, intermediate, or inferior accomplishments. Or the place where they live will shake, or they will see light, and they should know that they have attained accomplishment. From then on, everything they do will be as desired. Only then can they use the subsequent methods for achieving accomplishments.
If one seeks hidden treasures (V藏伏), one should take a virgin girl, bathe her clean, and dress her in fresh, clean clothes. Take fragrant flowers and have the virgin girl hold the flowers in both hands, covering her face, and stand by the altar. The practitioner should recite the previous mantra, bless turmeric water one hundred and eight times, and sprinkle it on the virgin girl. In the words of the mantra, add the desired wish. In a short while, that virgin girl will tell where the hidden treasure is located. Or one can concentrate on reciting, inviting the Holy One to appear and ask where it is located. Or one can simply pray, asking the Joyful Mother (歡喜母) to provide the necessities every day. If one's wishes are fulfilled and one obtains wealth, one should extensively cultivate merit and practice generosity, benefiting sentient beings. One should not accumulate wealth, or one will surely lose accomplishment.
Another method: If one wants to gain the favor of a noble person, take soil from under that person's door, mix it with saliva to make a ball, bless it one hundred and eight times, and place it in the toilet. That person will surely respect, obey, and be pleased.
Another method: If one wants to gain the love and respect of a woman, bless fruits twenty-one times and give them to that person to eat, and they will love and respect each other.
Another method: If there are doubtful matters, bless a virgin girl according to the previous method and ask her. She will tell all kinds of things about the doubtful matter.

Another method: If you wish to make a former person (someone who has left) remember you, write down that person's name and place it under the foot of your bed. That person will surely remember you.

If it is leaked, not only will it not succeed, but it will also bring disaster. Whenever you send the skull to someone's place, you must first understand that person. If the other person is chanting the Vajra (Diamond) section of the Dharma, or strictly observing precepts and understanding how to dissolve spells, you must not disturb them, otherwise it will harm yourself. Otherwise, it will surely be effective. Next, the mudras are explained. First, form the summoning mudra, with the right fingers crossed and inserted into the back of the left hand, holding the palm of the left hand, and beckoning the mudra three times towards yourself. 【English Translation】 English version The Mudra (hand gesture) for Dismissing the Holy Ones: Form the previously described summoning mudra, then cast the right hand outward. This mudra is then complete.
At that time, Mother Hariti (the deity of joy and abundance) in the great assembly, after explaining this Dharani (a sacred utterance) method, said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, I have now received the protection and mindfulness of the Tathagata (another name for the Buddha). I and my retinue, following the Buddha's teachings, will protect all sentient beings (all living beings) in the future, enabling them to obtain happiness and be free from all fears. If there are those who can rely on this method, purely receiving and upholding this Dharani, all their requests will be fulfilled.'
Then, Mother Hariti again said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, I will now further explain the Dharani method for my beloved child, Priyankara (Hariti's beloved child), for the benefit and protection of all those who seek. The mantra is:'
'Om Chi Wi Chi Hum Svaha'
The mudra is formed by joining both hands in prayer, with both thumbs bent and placed inside the palms. This mudra can be used in all situations, including obtaining a body, summoning, inviting, and sending off. Use the mudra to bless the five places on your body, namely the crown of the head, right shoulder, left shoulder, heart, and throat, to form a protective shield. Using the two thumbs to beckon is called summoning; opening them outwards is called sending off. If there are those who receive and uphold this Dharani method, I and my beloved child Priyankara, along with all my retinue, will protect these people, preventing all evil ghosts and spirits from disturbing them.
If there are those who uphold this Dharani, they must be pure and not eat pungent or unclean foods. Recite the mantra 300,000 times and offer food to my beloved child Priyankara; this will be the preliminary practice. For the method of offering food, first, in a clean open space, smear a circular altar with cow dung (Gomaya), and scatter seasonal flowers on the altar. Alternatively, you can offer it on a clean stone. Each time you wish to eat, first take a small portion of each food item you are about to eat and place it together in a clean vessel. Bless it seven times with the previous mantra, and offer it on that altar. Also, call out Priyankara's name and say: 'Receive this food from me, and may you grant your protection.' If you do this without fail for six months, you will obtain the constant protection of my beloved child.

Make balls with beef and benzoin and perform homa (homa, fire offering). Starting from the white month (the first day of the lunar month), continue for one month, three times a day, one thousand and eighty times each time. On the day of the full moon, make extensive offerings. Fast for one day and one night, and abstain from idle talk. Have a skilled craftsman carve it into the form of a child, with five crimson-purple tufts of hair on the top of the head. 【English Translation】 English version: The right hand holds the auspicious fruit, as if to give it to others. The left hand raises the palm, extending the five fingers outwards. This is called the 'Wish-Fulfilling Hand'. After making this image, in a clean and secret room, use benzoin incense water and mud to make a square altar of one cubit or three cubits. Smear it with cow dung (Gomaya) according to the Dharma. Then, smear a round seat with white sandalwood and place the image in the center. Scatter various seasonal flowers on the altar. Offer milk gruel, cheese rice, sweet and crispy fruits, and joy cakes (歡喜團) etc., according to the Dharma. Burn aloeswood incense in front of this image and recite the Dharani one hundred thousand times. The beloved son Priyankara will definitely appear and ask the practitioner: 'What do you want from summoning me?' Whatever the practitioner desires, it will be fulfilled.
