南天竺三藏菩提留支奉 詔譯
爾時毗那夜迦。于雞羅山。集諸大眾梵天自在天釋提桓因等。及無量億數鬼神等。從座而起。稽首作禮于大自在天請言。我今欲說一字咒饒益眾生。唯愿印可聽我所說。諸天言善哉如汝所說。毗那夜迦得說歡喜踴躍。即說毗那夜迦一字咒曰。
oṃ gaḥ ga hrīḥ oṃ ha hūṃ pha ṭ 唵 虐 伽 頡里 唵 訶 𤙖 泮 吒
欲作此法先須造像。或用白镴及金銀銅樺木等。各刻作其形像。夫婦二身和合相抱立。並作象頭人身。其造像直不得還價。造其像已。白月一日。于凈室內用凈牛糞磨作圓壇。隨意大小。當取一升胡麻油。用上咒咒其凈油。一百八遍暖其油。以凈銅器盛著暖油。然後將像放著銅盤油中。安置壇內。用凈銅匙若銅杓等攣油。灌其二像身頂一百八遍。以後日日更咒舊油一百八遍。一日之中七遍灌之。平旦四遍日午三遍共成七遍。如是作法乃至七日。隨心所愿成即得稱意。正灌油時數數發願。用酥蜜和麨作團。蘿蔔根並盞酢酒漿。如是日成獻食。必須自食方得氣力。

The Sutra of the Method of Employing Mantras
Translated by Tripitaka Master Bodhiruci (from South India) under Imperial Decree
At that time, Vinayaka (the elephant-headed god) gathered a great assembly on Mount Kailasa (a mountain range). This included Brahmas (the creator god), Mahesvara (Shiva), Sakra devanam Indra (Indra, the lord of the gods), and countless billions of ghosts and spirits. He arose from his seat, bowed respectfully to Mahadeva (the Great God, Shiva), and requested, 'I now wish to speak a one-syllable mantra to benefit sentient beings. I beseech you to approve and listen to what I say.' The gods all said, 'Excellent, as you say.' Vinayaka (the elephant-headed god), having received permission, rejoiced and proclaimed the one-syllable mantra of Vinayaka (the elephant-headed god):
oṃ gaḥ ga hrīḥ oṃ ha hūṃ pha ṭ
To perform this ritual, one must first create an image. This can be made of white lead (tin), gold, silver, copper, birch bark, or other materials. Carve the image of the two figures, husband and wife, embracing each other, with elephant heads and human bodies. The price of creating the image should not be bargained down. Once the image is made, on the first day of the white month, in a clean room, grind pure cow dung to make a round altar, of any size you wish. Take one 'sheng' (a unit of volume) of sesame oil, and chant the above mantra over the pure oil one hundred and eight times, warming the oil. Place the warm oil in a clean copper vessel, and then place the image in the copper basin of oil, and place it within the altar. Use a clean copper spoon or ladle to scoop the oil and pour it over the heads of the two images one hundred and eight times. Thereafter, each day, chant the old oil one hundred and eight times, pouring the oil seven times throughout the day. Four times in the morning and three times at noon, making a total of seven times. Perform this ritual for seven days, and your wishes will be fulfilled as desired. While pouring the oil, make vows frequently. Make balls of酥 (ghee), honey, and roasted barley flour, along with radish roots and a cup of sour wine. Prepare and offer these foods daily. You must eat them yourself to gain strength.
At that time, Vighnanaga.
將領九千八百諸大鬼王。遊行三千世界。我等所為神力自在。遍歷諸方奉衛三寶。已大慈悲利益眾生。向於世尊俱發聲言。我以自在神通故。號毗那羅曩伽。亦名毗那夜迦。亦名毗微那曩伽。亦曰摩訶毗那夜伽。如是四天下稱皆不同。我于出世復有別名。即以神變升虛空而說偈言。
我有微妙法 世間甚希有 眾生受持者 皆與愿滿足 我行順世法 世示希有事 我能隨其愿 有求名遷官 我使國王召 有求世異寶 使世積珍利 家豐足七珍 世皆所希有 有求色美者 發願宛然至 莫須言遠近 高貴及難易 志心於我者 我使須臾間 有眾生疾苦 神狂及疥癩 疾毒眾不利 百種害加惱 誦我陀羅尼 無不解脫者 獨行闇冥處 依我皆無畏 劫賊忽然侵 我皆令自縛 若欲自然福 若有求女人 夫心令得女 我必令相愛 世間陵突者 我悉令摧伏 逍遙自快樂 宛然無所乏 有念皆稱遂 隨有咸滿足 設眾惡來侵 我使如其意 我悉能加護 住居皆吉慶 宅舍悉清寧 男女得英名 夫妻順和合 上品持我者 我與人中王 中品持我者 我與為帝師 下品持我者 富貴無窮已 恒欲相娛樂 無不

【English Translation】 English version: Nine thousand eight hundred great ghost kings, along with their retinues, throughout the three thousand worlds (referring to the vast universe). We possess the power of supernatural freedom, traveling in all directions, protecting the Triple Gem (the three fundamental elements of Buddhism: Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha), and benefiting sentient beings with great compassion. Together, we speak to the World Honored One, saying: 'I am called Vinayaka (Vinayaka, the obstacle god) because of my supernatural power of freedom, also called Vinayaka (Vinayaka, the obstacle god), also named Vivinanaga (Vinayaka, the obstacle god), and also called Mahāvināyaka (Mahāvināyaka, the great obstacle god).' Thus, in the four great continents (referring to the world we live in), our names are different. I have other names in the transcendent world, and now I will ascend into the sky with supernatural transformations and speak this verse: 'I have a subtle Dharma, which is very rare in the world. If sentient beings can uphold it, all their wishes will be fulfilled. I practice the Dharma that accords with the world, showing rare things to the world. I can fulfill their wishes, and if someone asks for fame, I will promote him. I can make the king summon him, and if someone asks for rare treasures in the world, I can make him accumulate precious benefits, and fill his family with the seven treasures (gold, silver, lapis lazuli, tridacna, agate, pearl, amber). These are all rare in the world, and if someone asks for a beautiful appearance, As long as they make a vow, it will be fulfilled immediately, not to mention the distance or difficulty. Whether noble or humble, as long as they sincerely pray to me, I can make their wishes come true in a very short time. If sentient beings suffer from illness, Or mental disorder, or scabies, or are poisoned, or encounter various disadvantages, Or suffer from various kinds of harm and annoyance, as long as they recite my dharani (dharani, mantra), There is no one who cannot be liberated. Walking alone in the dark, Relying on me, they can be fearless. If they suddenly encounter robbers, I can make them bind themselves. If they want to obtain natural blessings, If someone asks for a woman, or a husband hopes his wife will give birth to a daughter, I will surely make them love each other. For those who insult and bully others in the world, I can subdue them, let them be carefree and happy, Let them be safe and sound, lacking nothing, let them think of everything as they wish, Let all their wishes be fulfilled. Even if various evils come to invade, I can according to their wishes, I can fully protect them, make their residences auspicious and peaceful, Make their houses clean and peaceful, make their Children can gain a good reputation, and make the relationship between husband and wife harmonious and happy. If a superior person upholds my Dharma, I will make him the king of men, If a middle-grade person upholds my Dharma, I will make him the teacher of the emperor, If a lower-grade person upholds my Dharma, he will have endless wealth, And always enjoy happiness, there is nothing that cannot be achieved.'
充滿足 奴婢列成群 美女滿衢庭 遊行得自在 隱顯能隨念 出入無所礙 無能測量者 我於三界中 神力得自在 降世希有事 我皆悉所為 若說我所能 窮劫不能盡 持我陀羅尼 我皆現其前 夫妻及眷屬 當隨得衛護 我有遊行時 誦我即時至 過於險難處 大海及江河 深山險隘處 師子象虎狼 毒蟲諸神難 持我皆安穩 若有侵嬈者 頭破作七分 壽命悉長遠 福祿自遷至
爾時毗那夜羅迦說是偈已。告世人言。說處世陀羅尼法。最護眾生。隨其所愿皆得滿足。當須日夜誦持滿十萬遍乃至二十萬遍。皆得如所說即升虛空。即說咒曰。

【English Translation】 English version Filled with satisfaction, slaves and maids stand in rows, beautiful women fill the courtyards. Obtaining freedom, appearing and disappearing at will. Entering and exiting without any hindrance, no one can measure my abilities. Within the three realms, I gain freedom with divine powers. Being born into the world is a rare event, and I can accomplish all. If I were to speak of my abilities, I could not finish even in endless time. Those who uphold my dharani (總持、真言), I will appear before them. Husbands and wives, as well as their families, should receive my protection. When I am in urgent need, reciting my name will bring me there immediately. Passing through dangerous places, whether it be the great sea or rivers. Deep mountains and narrow, perilous places, whether it be lions, elephants, tigers, or wolves. The calamities of poisonous insects and various gods, holding my name will bring peace and stability. If there are those who invade and offend, their heads will be broken into seven pieces. Lifespans will be long and far-reaching, and blessings and prosperity will naturally come.
At that time, Vinayaka (象頭神) , having spoken these verses, told the people of the world: 'This dharani (總持、真言) method for living in the world is the most protective of sentient beings, and all their wishes will be fulfilled. One should recite and uphold it day and night for a hundred thousand times, even up to two hundred thousand times, and all will be as spoken, immediately ascending into the void.' Then he spoke the mantra, as follows:
