開府儀同三司特進試鴻臚卿肅國公食邑三千戶賜紫贈司空謚大鑒正號大廣智大興善寺三藏沙門不空奉 詔譯

爾時釋迦牟尼佛。復觀凈居天宮。告文殊師利童真菩薩言。文殊師利於汝大教中。一切如來之所稱讚隨喜。順大真言行。令一切有情入三昧耶壇故。通學地水火風空五種由知此故。通達一切有情語言不思議境界。成得金翅鳥王真言行。以神通悟此通達方便。一切世間出世間法皆得成就。乃至一切傍生及諸金翅鳥王身法悉皆通達。是故於菩薩大眾中。金翅鳥王與無量金翅鳥圍繞。從座而起往詣于文殊師利大菩薩前。頭面禮足長跪合掌。而白文殊師利言。我住大菩薩位。於此教王利益安樂諸有情故。說過去百種法。唯愿大菩薩隨喜許說。文殊師利菩薩言。為有情利益故汝今說之。時金翅鳥王以佛威神力故。從座而起歡喜踴躍。文殊師利言。汝應宣說過去百種法並其深密法要。

爾時金翅鳥王即說真言曰。

曩莫三滿多沒馱(引)南(引一)阿缽啰(二合)底(二)賀多(三)舍薩那南(引四)怛你野(二合)他(五)唵舍句

如是我聞,一時,釋迦牟尼佛在觀察凈居天宮后,告訴文殊師利童真菩薩說:『文殊師利,在你的大教法中,一切如來都稱讚和隨喜。爲了順應大真言的修行,爲了讓一切有情眾生進入三昧耶壇(Samaya-mandala,誓約壇),所以要通曉地、水、火、風、空這五種元素。因為通曉這些,就能通達一切有情眾生的語言,達到不可思議的境界。成就金翅鳥王(Garuda,一種神鳥)的真言行,以神通領悟這種通達的方便法門,一切世間和出世間法都能成就。乃至一切傍生(指畜生道眾生)以及諸金翅鳥王的身法,都能完全通達。』

因此,在菩薩大眾中,金翅鳥王被無量金翅鳥圍繞著,從座位上站起來,前往文殊師利大菩薩面前,頭面禮足,長跪合掌,對文殊師利說:『我安住于大菩薩的地位,爲了在此教王中利益和安樂一切有情眾生,想宣說過去的一百種法門,唯愿大菩薩隨喜並允許我說。』

文殊師利菩薩說:『爲了利益有情眾生,你現在就說吧。』

這時,金翅鳥王憑藉佛的威神力,從座位上站起來,歡喜踴躍。文殊師利說:『你應該宣說過去的一百種法門,以及其中深密的法要。』

爾時,金翅鳥王即說真言曰:

曩莫三滿多沒馱(引)南(引一)阿缽啰(二合)底(二)賀多(三)舍薩那南(引四)怛你野(二合)他(五)唵舍句

【English Translation】 English version The Fundamental Great Teaching King Sutra of Manjushri Bodhisattva - Chapter on the Garuda King

Thus I have heard. At one time, Shakyamuni Buddha, after observing the Pure Abode Heaven, said to Manjushri Kumara Bodhisattva: 'Manjushri, in your great teaching, all Tathagatas praise and rejoice. In order to accord with the practice of the Great True Word (Mahamantrayana), and to enable all sentient beings to enter the Samaya-mandala (vow circle), one must thoroughly understand the five elements of earth, water, fire, wind, and space. Because of understanding these, one can comprehend the languages of all sentient beings and attain an inconceivable state. Accomplish the mantra practice of the Garuda (a mythical bird) King, and with supernatural powers, realize this expedient means of thorough understanding. All worldly and transcendental dharmas can be accomplished. Even the body and dharma of all animals and all Garuda Kings can be completely understood.'

Therefore, in the assembly of Bodhisattvas, the Garuda King, surrounded by countless Garudas, arose from his seat and went before Manjushri Great Bodhisattva. He bowed his head to the ground at his feet, knelt with palms joined, and said to Manjushri: 'I dwell in the position of a Great Bodhisattva. In order to benefit and bring happiness to all sentient beings in this Teaching King, I wish to speak of the hundred past dharmas. May the Great Bodhisattva rejoice and permit me to speak.'

Manjushri Bodhisattva said: 'For the benefit of sentient beings, you may speak now.'

At that time, the Garuda King, by the power of the Buddha's majestic spirit, arose from his seat, joyful and exuberant. Manjushri said: 'You should proclaim the hundred past dharmas, along with their profound and secret essential points.'

Then, the Garuda King spoke the mantra, saying:

Namo samanta buddhanam apra(two)ti hata shasanam tanyatha om shaju

爾時金翅鳥王說真言已。次當宣說過去百種法。召龍調龍捉龍。或有被龍嚙及不嚙者。皆令神著說過去未來一切事。召蛇罰謫蛇取毒戲劇。不為毒中召一切毒。或才稱意念。或意作法。持誦者受齋戒三日不食。或不食十二日。于河岸側。五色粉建立六肘曼茶羅。畫八枚八葉蓮花。中央畫佛作說法相。佛右以粉畫大聖文殊師利菩薩。作合掌瞻仰佛相。佛左畫那羅延天。四臂持四種幖幟器仗。近那羅延。畫金翎鳥王。作極可畏恐怖形。近金翅鳥王。畫阿盧拏天。于大聖文殊后。畫無慧菩薩及善財童子須菩提。合掌而住。如是名為中壇。次壇東外院。以白灰捻畫金剛杵。左邊以炭末畫劍。北邊以黃畫棒。西邊以赤畫罥索。如是外院置曼茶羅。畫已。四邊應以三甜食而供養之。于其壇上散種種花及種種涂香末香。及置閼伽賢瓶滿盛香水。燒安悉香。誦根本真言請一切聖眾。對此壇前應作護摩爐。以無煙炭燃火以佉陀羅木投之。於一切有情起大慈

接下來是壇的東外院,用白灰捻畫金剛杵(vajra)。左邊用炭末畫劍。北邊用黃色畫棒。西邊用紅色畫罥索(pasa)。這樣在外院設定曼荼羅。畫完后,四邊應該用三種甜食來供養。在壇上散上各種各樣的花以及各種各樣的涂香末香,並且放置裝滿香水的閼伽賢瓶(arghya)。焚燒安悉香。誦唸根本真言,請一切聖眾。在這個壇前應該設定護摩爐,用無煙炭點燃火,投入佉陀羅木(khadira)。對於一切有情眾生髮起大慈悲心。

【English Translation】 English version: 『Na(6) Mo-he(elongated sound) She-ju-na(7) Wei-dan-duo(8) Bo-qi-cha(combined sound 9) Sa-po-bo-nang(10) Ye-na-jia(11) Qia Qia Qia-xi Qia-xi(12) San-mo-ye(13) Mo-nu-sa-mo(combined sound)ra(14) Hong Di-se-zha(combined sound 15) Mao(elongated sound)di-sa-da-wu(combined sound 16) Zhi-niang(combined sound)bo-ye-di(17) Suo-wa(combined sound elongated sound) He(elongated sound 18)』

At that time, the Garuda King, having spoken the true words, should next proclaim the hundred methods of the past, used to summon dragons, tame dragons, and capture dragons. For those who have been bitten by dragons or not, cause their spirits to be possessed, and speak of all matters of the past and future. Summon snakes, punish and banish snakes, extract poison, perform dramatic performances, not be harmed by poison, and recall all poisons. Or simply by thinking of it, or by performing the practice with intention. The practitioner must observe a fast for three days without eating, or for twelve days without eating. On the riverbank, using five-colored powders, establish a six-cubit Mandala (sacred enclosure). Draw eight eight-petaled lotus flowers, and in the center, draw a Buddha image, in the posture of teaching the Dharma. To the right of the Buddha image, draw the Great Sage Manjushri Bodhisattva (symbol of wisdom) with powder, in the posture of joining palms and gazing up at the Buddha. To the left of the Buddha, draw Narayana (Vishnu), with four arms holding four kinds of emblematic objects and weapons. Near Narayana, draw the Garuda King, making an extremely frightening and terrifying appearance. Near the Garuda King, draw Aruna. Behind the Great Sage Manjushri Bodhisattva, draw the Wisdomless Bodhisattva, Sudhana, and Subhuti, standing with palms joined. This is called the central altar.

Next is the eastern outer courtyard of the altar. Use white ash to draw a vajra (diamond scepter). On the left side, use charcoal powder to draw a sword. On the north side, use yellow to draw a staff. On the west side, use red to draw a pasa (noose). Thus, set up the Mandala in the outer courtyard. After drawing, the four sides should be offered with three kinds of sweet foods. Scatter various kinds of flowers and various kinds of scented powders on the altar, and place arghya vessels filled with fragrant water. Burn benzoin incense. Recite the root mantra, and invite all the holy beings. In front of this altar, a homa (fire offering) stove should be set up. Ignite the fire with smokeless charcoal, and cast khadira wood into it. Generate great compassion for all sentient beings.


心。作龍座而坐(帖膝坐也)用蛇刺木榅三甜(酪蜜酥也)投于爐中一千八遍。即成就相見即有眾蛇來集。即獻閼伽。當知真言法成。應誦真言作是愿言。愿真言法得悉地。即誦根本真言發遣。以閼伽水隨誦真言。濺灑所有供養食飲花香。擲于河水中。從此已后所作。鉤召禁止一切毒類。隨誦成就。

又法欲令兩人相憎。取白㲲花和毒藥。護摩二十一遍彼即相憎。

又法欲摧毀怨家。取蛇皮一枚誦真言一遍。投於火中二十一遍即彼怨摧滅。

又法取鳥翅護摩二十一遍。彼怨人狂走猶如烏跳。

又法若令男女互相敬愛者。以白芥子和酥護摩二十一遍即相敬順。

又法欲令王敬愛者。以乳粥護摩二十一遍即得隨意。

又法加持土塊投於火中火即不熱。若欲解加持草投火即解。

又法誦真言七遍加持江河泉。一切魚不被網。

又法彈指誦真言。能召諸魚。

又法若一切患疾病者。加持水二十一遍。灌於頂上病即得瘥。

又法加持棒二十一遍。擊一切門門即自開。

又法即以棒盛于青色袋中。當軍陣前遙示他敵。彼軍即散。

又法加持衣襟二十一遍。閃爍他敵。彼軍所有一切刀杖弓弩。悉自破壞皆禁止不能動。若欲解誦真言一遍解之即解。

又一種方法,加持衣襟二十一遍,閃爍給敵軍看,敵軍所有的刀、杖、弓、弩,都會自動破壞,都被禁止而不能動。如果想要解除,誦讀真言一遍就能解除。

【English Translation】 English version: Mind. Make a dragon seat and sit (sitting with knees touching), use snake-thorn wood, and throw 'wen san tian' (wen san tian, meaning curd, honey, and ghee) into the furnace one thousand and eight times. Immediately, accomplishment will occur, and upon seeing, many snakes will gather. Then offer Argha (Argha, water offering). Know that the mantra practice is accomplished. One should recite the mantra and make this vow: 'May the mantra practice attain Siddhi (Siddhi, accomplishment).' Then recite the root mantra to dismiss. With Argha water, while reciting the mantra, sprinkle all the offered food, drink, flowers, and incense, and throw them into the river. From then on, whatever is done, hooking, prohibiting all poisons, will be accomplished with recitation.

Another method: If you want two people to hate each other, take white 'die' flowers and poison, and perform Homa (Homa, fire ritual) twenty-one times, and they will hate each other.

Another method: If you want to destroy an enemy, take one piece of snake skin, recite the mantra once, and throw it into the fire twenty-one times, then that enemy will be destroyed.

Another method: Take bird wings and perform Homa twenty-one times, and that enemy will run around madly like a jumping crow.

Another method: If you want a man and woman to respect and love each other, perform Homa with white mustard seeds and ghee twenty-one times, and they will respect and obey each other.

Another method: If you want the king to love you, perform Homa with milk porridge twenty-one times, and you will get what you want.

Another method: Consecrate a lump of earth and throw it into the fire, and the fire will not be hot. If you want to undo it, consecrate grass and throw it into the fire to undo it.

Another method: Recite the mantra seven times and consecrate the river and spring water, and all the fish will not be caught in nets.

Another method: Snap your fingers and recite the mantra, and you can summon all kinds of fish.

Another method: If someone is suffering from illness, consecrate water twenty-one times and pour it on the top of their head, and the illness will be cured.

Another method: Consecrate a stick twenty-one times and strike all the doors, and the doors will open by themselves.

Another method: Put the stick in a blue bag and show it to the enemy from afar in front of the army, and the enemy army will scatter.

又法取蛇頭加持灰塞其口。稱彼人名誦真言二十一遍彼人即啞。

又法若被毒箭中者。加持水遙濺其箭即出。

又法欲得破他真言。誦此真言彼即無效。若欲得解即解。

又法加持磚二十一遍。擲彼枷杻禁縛者。即解枷杻破。

又法若欲降雨。依前壇法建立作供養。及作護摩爐取苦練木燃火。以白芥子護摩一千八遍即降甘雨。若要多即更作護摩。乃至千億皆得隨意。

又法取蓽茇加持二十一遍。手執隨方揮處。諸惡霜雹即移他處。

又法若屋宅被火燒。作前法火災即移諸處。

又法若雨雪。亦作此法準前知之。

又法以泥蛇加持二十一遍。作是言嚙某乙。即隨處分嚙彼人也。

又法以炭粉作蛇亦準前法。若解彼。誦真言云令解即解。

又法若欲召蛇。以白芥子加持七遍。擲於四方蛇即來應結界。以水灑之即成發遣。

又法加持土塊二十一遍。擲于龍池中即龍來。

又法加持土擲於水中。龍即涌出。持誦者立於龍背上皆得自在。

又法若被蛇毒中者。以泥作四個金翅鳥。誦真言以水灑彼身上。擲金翅鳥於四方。彼即各銜蛇將來。修行者作是言。汝飲彼人毒。即消散便能起立。

又法以小豆加持一百八遍。散擲四方即龍來化作

【English Translation】 English version Another method: Take a snake's head, consecrate the ashes from the snake's head, and stuff them into the mouth of the (target) person. Recite that person's name and chant the mantra twenty-one times, and that person will become mute.

Another method: If someone is struck by a poisoned arrow, consecrate water and sprinkle it remotely on the arrow, and the arrow will come out automatically.

Another method: If you want to break another person's mantra, recite this mantra, and the other person's mantra will become ineffective. If you want to undo (the breaking), then undo it.

Another method: Consecrate a brick twenty-one times and throw it at someone who is bound by cangue (a wooden device used for punishment) and fetters, and the cangue and fetters will be broken.

Another method: If you want to summon rain, set up an altar according to the previous method, make offerings, and create a homa (fire ritual) hearth, using bitter neem wood to light the fire. Perform homa with white mustard seeds one thousand and eight times, and sweet rain will fall. If you want more rain, continue performing homa, even up to a trillion times, and you will obtain it as desired.

Another method: Take Bibat (long pepper), consecrate it twenty-one times, and hold it in your hand, waving it in all directions. All kinds of evil frost and hail will be transferred to other places.

Another method: If a house is being burned by fire, follow the previous method, and the fire disaster will be transferred to other places.

Another method: If it is raining or snowing, also follow this method, referring to the previous method for understanding.

Another method: Make a snake out of mud, consecrate it twenty-one times, and say: 'Bite so-and-so (name of the person),' and the snake will bite that person as instructed.

Another method: Make a snake out of charcoal powder, also following the previous method. If you want to undo (the snake's attack), recite the mantra saying 'Let it be undone,' and it will be undone.

Another method: If you want to summon a snake, consecrate white mustard seeds seven times and throw them in all directions, and the snake will come. Then create a boundary. Sprinkle water on the snake, and the sending is complete.

Another method: Consecrate a lump of earth twenty-one times and throw it into a dragon pool, and the dragon will come.

Another method: Consecrate earth and throw it into the water, and the dragon will emerge. The mantra holder standing on the dragon's back will obtain freedom.

Another method: If someone is poisoned by snake venom, make four Garudas (mythical bird-like creature) out of mud, recite the mantra, and sprinkle water on (the poisoned person). Throw the Garudas in all directions, and each Garuda will bring a snake in its beak. The practitioner says: 'You drink this person's poison,' and the poison will dissipate, and (the poisoned person) will be able to stand up.

Another method: Consecrate small beans one hundred and eight times and scatter them in all directions, and the dragon will come and transform into


蜂形。語云螫某人。其蜂即螫。一切持誦者無能解。其本作法人加持水灑之。即解其毒消散。

又法取弓加持箭射四方。即有蛇纏箭卻來。行者作是言。飲此毒。其被嚙人即起立。其箭不應用鐵鏃者知之。

又法若有被毒箭中者。加持水箭上其箭即出。

又法以蟻封泥作四個鼠狼。加持水灑彼身上。其鼠狼即去銜蛇來。行者作是言飲其毒。毒即解被嚙人即起立。

又法加持炭。于地上畫蛇。以閼伽木為杖鞭之。其畫蛇即去銜蛇而來。即自飲其毒。被嚙人死者即起。

又法加持幢蓋。拂被毒中死者即卻活。

又法加持樂器彈擊吹之。所有被毒中死者即活。

又法若欲召龍蛇者。以土染為五色畫曼茶羅。拍掌誦真言。即龍蛇從四方來入壇中。不應怖畏。護身結頂髻不敢為害。

又法用此真言加持眼。視瞋忿人。剎那頃即倒地。彼即變為蛇。欲令解則解。

又法如是誦真言。若有中毒人及不著毒者。皆使神驗而得自在。

又法取供養那羅延天萎花。誦真言加持一百八遍。擲於四衢路或擲人家。花化為蛇便能嚙人。若加持水灑之。其被嚙人毒即解。

又法加持自手。經六月不被諸毒所傷。

又法加持自身作是言。蛇嚙彼人即嚙。

Another method: Perform Homa with the meat of a black Sarasa bird to seek auspiciousness and blessings. Another method: If one seeks widespread fame, and also seeks women and land, burn the meat of a large animal for Homa. Another method: If one seeks victory in debate, also perform Mamsa (meat) Homa with the meat of a large animal. It will be accomplished. Another method: If one seeks victory in battle, perform Homa with the meat of a large animal. Victory is assured. Another method: If one seeks the respect and love of a powerful king, perform Homa with elephant meat, and one will obtain respect and submission. 如是等法三時七日護摩。若才憶念我。能除一切毒。若常唸誦能作一切事。世尊若有於此大教王。修此真言時三時念誦。我常為除一切災禍。常當隨彼人後。爾時金翅鳥王說自手印。

以二大母指相縈繞。二手如屈翅勢。結此印即成身印。此是大摩醯首羅先已曾說。一切諸龍若見此印。悉皆消融不敢違命。此即印低下余指來去招。即成召龍印真言曰。

此印真言能調伏龍。亦能調伏難調伏者。又以二手合掌如未敷蓮華。二大母指入。便各握為拳相合。此印名調伏天上人間諸龍印。能成辦一切。又說印二手合掌。二無名指外叉在中指背。二大指相併微屈如口。二頭指各鉤無名指。二小指相併豎。用根本真言。此名金翅鳥王通光印。亦名驚怖諸龍印。

我所說一切真言中修行法。世間金翅鳥經中軌則。皆用此真言印。成助辦事。愍念一切有情故。說此根本教王。常當於此勝教求成就。皆于有情作殊勝利益事。當於未來末法時。用此護持佛法。擁護國王及國界。令諸有情皆得安樂。此法門應須揀擇法器。凈信三寶者。住菩提心深愍有

像這些法門,三時七日進行護摩。如果才憶念我(金翅鳥王),能消除一切毒。如果常唸誦,能做成一切事。世尊,如果有人對此大教王,修此真言時,三時念誦,我常為他消除一切災禍,常當跟隨在那人身後。爾時金翅鳥王說自手印。

以二大拇指互相纏繞,二手如彎曲翅膀的姿勢。結此印即成身印。這是大摩醯首羅(Maheśvara,大自在天)先前已經說過的。一切諸龍如果見到此印,全部都會消融,不敢違抗命令。此即印低下其餘手指來回招引,即成召龍印,真言曰:

【English Translation】 English version Feather Homa.

Furthermore, if one wishes to destroy a city, perform a homa by burning wool from a castrated goat.

Furthermore, if one wishes to cause people to hate each other, perform a homa with human hair.

Furthermore, if one wishes to harm someone, also perform a homa with human hair, which can also destroy enemies.

These and other methods require performing homa three times a day for seven days. If one merely remembers me (Garuda King), it can eliminate all poisons. If one constantly recites [my mantra], it can accomplish all things. World Honored One, if there is anyone who, regarding this Great Teaching King, recites this mantra three times a day while practicing it, I will always eliminate all disasters for them and always follow behind that person. At that time, the Garuda King spoke of his hand mudra.

Intertwine the two thumbs, and position the two hands as if flexing wings. Forming this mudra becomes the body mudra. This was previously spoken by the Great Maheśvara (Great Lord of Ease). If all dragons see this mudra, they will all melt away and dare not disobey orders. This mudra involves lowering the remaining fingers to beckon back and forth, thus forming the Dragon-Summoning Mudra. The mantra is:

This mudra and mantra can subdue dragons and also subdue those who are difficult to subdue. Also, join the two hands in prayer, like an unopened lotus flower, insert the two thumbs, and then each make a fist and join them together. This mudra is called the Mudra for Subduing All Dragons in Heaven and on Earth, and it can accomplish everything. Also, it is said that the mudra involves joining the two hands in prayer, crossing the two ring fingers outward on the back of the middle fingers, placing the two thumbs together and slightly bent like a mouth, hooking the two index fingers around the ring fingers, and placing the two little fingers together and upright, using the root mantra. This is called the Garuda King's Illuminating Light Mudra, also known as the Mudra for Terrifying All Dragons.

In all the mantras I have spoken, the methods of practice and the rules in the worldly Garuda Sutras all use this mantra and mudra to accomplish and assist in affairs. Out of compassion for all sentient beings, I speak of this fundamental Teaching King. One should always seek accomplishment in this supreme teaching, and do supreme beneficial deeds for all sentient beings. In the future, during the Dharma-ending Age, one should use this to protect the Buddha Dharma, support the king and the kingdom, and bring peace and happiness to all sentient beings. This Dharma gate should select those who possess the vessel of Dharma, have pure faith in the Three Jewels, abide in the Bodhi mind, and deeply compassionate sentient beings.


情者。孝順父母忠敬國王。尊重和上阿阇梨。諸根圓備深信真言法。現世成就無疑者。深生渴仰勤求此法。不惜身命者。阿阇梨若見如是等人慇勤求請。則令辦曼茶羅資具。則為建立如前所說曼荼羅。令弟子清凈齋戒。授與三歸菩提心戒。引入曼茶羅。擲花著佛菩薩及那羅延金翅鳥王諸天等。是人堪為法器。應合得聞。合受此法。若擲花不著聖眾。於此法亦無成就分。既得著已。則於此壇前以根本真言。加持香水三遍。作是誓言。受此法后。輒不得向未入曼茶羅者說。于阿阇梨不應輕慢背恩。若能今生不趣此誓。悉地現前。來生當得生大聖文殊宮中。若漏泄背恩。則必夭壽多招災難。當來墮于惡趣。既發如是誓已。令飲誓水。從阿阇梨一一抉擇受持讀誦。不應以少過愆作損害法。凡所作法。為多人利益匡護國界護持佛法。發如是心者。少用功力速疾成就。獲得無量廣大功德。此法甚深極須珍敬。此法一切金翅鳥法中。為王最為殊勝。

若欲調伏一切豎子。用鹿肉燒火。

若欲令人相憎。以𪈧鶘翅毛燒火。

若欲調伏豎子。取雉翅毛燒火。

若欲喚遠人。燒水牛肉即得。一日三時時別一千八遍即得成就。

如果想要調伏孩童,取雉雞的翅膀毛燒火。

如果想要召喚遠方的人,燒水牛肉就可以。一天三次,每次一千八遍,就可以成就。

【English Translation】 English version 『Qing』 refers to being filial to parents, loyal to the king, and respectful to the heshang (monks) and Acharya (teachers). If one's faculties are complete and one deeply believes in the mantra (zhenyan) dharma, then one can achieve accomplishment in this life without doubt. One should deeply yearn for and admire this dharma, diligently seek it, and not spare one's life. If the Acharya sees someone who earnestly and sincerely requests this, he should have him prepare the necessary materials for the mandala, and then establish the mandala as described earlier. He should have the disciple purify himself with fasting and abstinence, and bestow the Three Refuges (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) and the Bodhicitta vows. He should lead him into the mandala and throw flowers. If the flowers land on the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Narayana (Vishnu), Garuda (Golden Winged Bird King), and other deities, then this person is worthy to be a vessel of the Dharma and should hear and receive this Dharma. If the flowers do not land on the holy assembly, then there is no affinity for accomplishment in this Dharma. Once the flowers have landed, then in front of this altar, the Acharya should bless the scented water three times with the root mantra and make this vow: 『After receiving this Dharma, you must never speak of it to those who have not entered the mandala. You should not be disrespectful or ungrateful to the Acharya.』 If one does not violate this vow in this life, siddhi (accomplishment) will manifest, and in the next life, one will be able to be born in the palace of the great sage Manjushri. If one leaks the secrets and is ungrateful, then one will surely have a short life and incur many disasters, and in the future, one will fall into the evil realms. Having made such a vow, he should have him drink the vow water, and from the Acharya, he should individually choose to uphold, recite, and practice. One should not damage the Dharma because of small faults. All the practices performed are for the benefit of many people, to support the country, and to protect the Buddha Dharma. Those who generate such a mind will quickly achieve accomplishment with little effort and obtain immeasurable and vast merits. This Dharma is very profound and must be highly cherished and respected. This Dharma, among all the Garuda dharmas, is the king and the most supreme.

If you want to subdue all children, burn deer meat.

If you want to make people hate each other, burn the feathers of a pelican's wings.

If you want to subdue children, take the feathers of a pheasant's wings and burn them.

If you want to summon people from afar, burn buffalo meat and you will succeed. Three times a day, each time 1,008 times, and you will achieve success.
