罽賓國三藏大德般若力譯

迦樓羅者。天竺方言。唐云金翅鳥。蓋非敵體之名。乃會意而譯也。然古今經論傳之久矣。夫龍德隱微變化無極。忤之者禍至。奉之者福招。窮其受生。具胎卵濕化。無復他患。唯苦迦樓羅龍有四。生鳥亦四種。化生之鳥力制其餘。濕生之龍不具胎鳥屈伏之勢。例此以明。且滄海無涯。群龍遊泳。將㖨也鼓其羽翅扇波濤。水為涸流。龍無頭寄恣其食不遑度寧。所以然者。一以鳥形環僂。一以法禁迦持。體質殊人。思慮豈異。降之際專注地水火風空亦如之翻覆互用。龍尚被制。其餘可知。且世界之尊梵王居首。毗紐為次。大天其三。萬神所依。四生彼仰。具悲慜心。演拔濟法。以為迦樓羅傍生。羽族攝伏若斯憑之增修。可以救世。遂以金翅鳥為名。說十萬頌教跡。三界之主。五大之神。具成真身。俱傳本音。龍王受令。天帝懼威。豈鳥能之。乃聖力也。今略述迦樓羅妙門。次說諸天雜法。凡修行者皆鬚髮無上菩提心。尊敬三寶。

【English Translation】 English version The Garuda and Various Devas' Secret Mantra Sutra, One Volume Translated by Tripitaka Master Prajñābala from the Kingdom of Kipin (Kashmir)

Garuda, in the language of India, is called 'Golden-Winged Bird' in the Tang Dynasty. It is not a name of an enemy entity, but a translation based on its meaning. However, it has been transmitted through scriptures and treatises for a long time. The virtue of dragons is hidden and their transformations are limitless. Those who defy them will suffer misfortune, and those who venerate them will receive blessings. Examining their birth, they encompass womb-born, egg-born, moisture-born, and transformation-born beings. They have no other suffering except for the Garuda. Dragons have four types of birth, and birds also have four kinds. Transformation-born birds have the power to subdue the others, while moisture-born dragons do not possess the submissive posture of womb-born birds. This serves as an example to illustrate. Moreover, the vast ocean is boundless, and dragons swim in groups. When they flap their wings, they stir up waves, causing the water to become a dry stream. The dragons, without a place to rest their heads, indulge in eating, not even having time for peace. The reason for this is that one is due to the bird's hunched form, and the other is due to the Dharma's prohibition and restraint. Their physical nature is different from humans, so how can their thoughts be the same? When descending, they focus on earth, water, fire, wind, and space in the same way, using them interchangeably. Even dragons are controlled, so the rest can be known. Furthermore, among the honored ones of the world, Brahma (梵王) is the foremost, Vishnu (毗紐) is the second, and Shiva (大天) is the third. All the gods rely on them, and the four types of beings look up to them. They possess compassionate hearts and expound the Dharma of deliverance. Therefore, the Garuda is a being born in the animal realm, and the feathered tribes are subdued in this way. Relying on this and cultivating further can save the world. Thus, it is named the Golden-Winged Bird, and it speaks of the teachings in ten thousand verses. The lord of the three realms and the gods of the five elements all attain true bodies and transmit their original sounds together. The Dragon Kings receive orders, and the Heavenly Emperors fear their power. How can a bird do this? It is the power of the saints. Now, I will briefly describe the wonderful gate of the Garuda and then discuss the miscellaneous methods of the various devas. All practitioners must generate the supreme Bodhicitta and respect the Three Jewels.

Carefully examined, the Sanskrit version says: Mahabrahma (大梵天), Vishnu (毗紐), and Maheshvara (大自在天王), out of compassion for sentient beings, transformed into this body. They reside beside Mount Meru (妙高山), within the Golden Mountain (金山), and near the freshwater sea. It also speaks of earth, water, fire, wind, and space.

二手虛心合掌交指初分左押右即成。此印能辦一切事。眾印之首。能出生諸印。凡欲結契。先宜作之。

迦樓羅心印第七

【English Translation】 English version: They are jointly formed by the gods of the Five Great Elements (earth, water, fire, wind, and space). Each part of this body has its function.

The First Karura (Garuda) Accomplishing Seal

With hands in hollow-hearted Anjali (palms together), interlock the fingers, initially separating them, with the left pressing the right to complete the seal. This seal can accomplish all things and is the foremost of all seals, capable of generating other seals. Whenever you wish to form a bond, you should first make this seal.

The Second Karura's Beak Seal

Bend the thumbs and little fingers of both hands, with the left hand pressing the right and tucking them into the palms. The remaining six fingers are joined together, resembling a bird's beak when the wrists are brought together.

The Third Karura Kara Seal

With the left palm facing outward, slightly bend the tips of the five fingers to form the seal.

The Fourth Karura Sarpa Seal (Tang Dynasty: Snake Seal)

With hands in hollow-hearted Anjali, bend the two index fingers, placing their backs together, and press them with the thumbs. The two little fingers are also like the index fingers. The middle fingers are separated by more than an inch, resembling a snake's mouth.

The Fifth Karura Makara Seal (Tang Dynasty: Whale Seal)

Place the ring finger of the right hand between the little finger and ring finger of the left hand. Place the ring finger of the left hand between the ring finger and middle finger of the right hand. Hook the index finger of the left hand over the tip of the ring finger of the right hand, and hook the index finger of the right hand over the tip of the ring finger of the left hand. Join and merge the two middle fingers and two little fingers. Press the two thumbs against the sides of the middle fingers to complete the seal.

The Sixth Karura Paksha Seal (Tang Dynasty: Golden-Winged Bird Seal)

Cross the two thumbs, with the left pressing the right. With the backs of the hands facing upward, spread and extend the remaining fingers. Fan upward with the eight fingers to complete the seal.

The Seventh Karura Heart Seal

The index, middle, and ring fingers of the left hand grasp the little finger of the right hand. The index, middle, and ring fingers of the right hand grasp the little finger of the left hand. Each thumb presses against the side of the index finger. Initially, open the seal, with the thumbs about three inches apart. Then, slowly and forcefully restrain the two little fingers, and then bring the wrists together, aligning the two thumbs. When forcefully restraining, the ailing ghost or spirit will feel as if my two little fingers are no different from its own body. Now, I shall subdue it. The ghost or spirit will then be bound. The sick person will speak in ghostly tongues, begging for mercy. You should ask the reason and instruct them to grant forgiveness, and the illness will be cured.


矣。若病薄庵蛇毒藥厭魅之病者。準前用此印差。存[揭-曰]其支節亦得隨意。若存拘作怖鬼。鬼神及冤敵悉效。

迦樓羅縱毒不咬明

迦樓羅縛毒明曰。

舍迦野啰嚩攞么訖多(二合)曩慕窣都(二合)帝(二)阿密哩(二合)多泯奴(三)底瑟吒(二合)尾沙么奴斯(四)么者攞(五)莎嚩(二合)訶

凡欲伏毒。先在己身廣大圓滿。便存己形如迦樓羅王。若不作此成身之觀。但結莽羯啰印。而以護身亦得。又相受毒者身份廣大。乃存姹字。作白璃璃色環繞其人。支分開節及心令毒不過。若不作此觀者。乃結莽羯羅印。印其支節。誦縛毒密言三返。亦可受毒。乃取烏頭等毒以不咬。密言加持七返。加持之時。將藥近口。仍數轉之勿息。當置前人手中。若從足縱毒。即置其人足下。行者仰右手掌微屈。四指直舒。大指存結使(二合)字在掌中。如火聚。想火漸熾。出一條盛焰。注人前定之處。藥中便存其毒而出盛氣。猶如青煙。入其身中。至縛處準存。煙氣入時密誦佉字勿絕。即隨意而取入毒所至處。習然如中風者。是其候也。須臾之間肉色變青。若遍身放者。但存姹字環其人心。乃縱之毒遍身準不中心也。治如都收毒法。若不收者。毒亦不差。人亦不死

【English Translation】 English version: If someone is suffering from an illness caused by Bo'an snake venom, medicine, or enchantment, this mudra can be used in the same way as before. It is also acceptable to visualize the mudra covering the patient's limbs. If you visualize the mudra restraining evil ghosts, spirits, or enemies, it will be effective.

Whenever you want to control poison, first visualize a vast and perfect image on yourself, and then visualize your image as the Garuda King. If you do not perform this visualization of becoming the body, you can simply form the Makara Mudra to protect yourself. In addition, visualize the person receiving the poison as having a vast body, and then visualize the syllable 'Cha', appearing as white crystal, surrounding that person, separating their limbs, joints, and heart, so that the poison cannot pass through. If you do not perform this visualization, form the Makara Mudra, imprint it on their limbs and joints, and recite the mantra to bind the poison three times, and you can also receive the poison. Then take aconite and other poisons, and bless them seven times with the mantra that prevents biting. When blessing, bring the medicine close to your mouth and keep turning it without stopping. Then place the medicine in that person's hand. If the poison is released from the foot, place the medicine under that person's foot. The practitioner raises their right palm, bends it slightly, stretches out the four fingers, and visualizes the syllable 'Shi (two combined)' formed by the thumb in the palm, like a cluster of fire. Visualize the flames gradually intensifying, emitting a strong flame, and injecting it into the person's predetermined location. In the medicine, visualize the poison emitting a strong aura, like green smoke, entering their body, and visualize it in the same way as before when it reaches the bound location. When the smoke enters, continuously recite the syllable 'Kha'. Then take away the place where the poison has reached at will. If it is like a stroke, that is the sign. After a while, the color of the flesh will turn blue. If the poison spreads throughout the body, visualize the syllable 'Cha' surrounding that person's heart, and then release the poison, so that the poison spreads throughout the body and does not harm the heart. The treatment method is the same as the Du Shou poison method. If the poison is not collected, the poison will not disappear, and the person will not die.

【English Translation】 English version: But I fear that if the poison attacks within the body, even if it is removed, it will damage the limbs. If the various diseases are dissipated wherever the poison passes, why delay and not quickly remove it? It can cure stroke with paralysis, crooked mouth, swollen knees, scrofula, beriberi, goiter, hernia, various internal abdominal diseases, and numbness of the skin, so that one will be free from illness. If the poison is allowed to linger for too long, then the eight Dragon Kings and the two kings, if they start from the first day of each month and continue cyclically until the day of Julika, then it is not permissible to use poison to treat diseases, because these Dragon Kings have great poison, which will surely be difficult to remove. This is the case on the eighth, eighteenth, and twenty-eighth days of each month. Ordinary people should not release poison at night. The method of Garuda (迦樓羅) for collecting poison is as follows.

If you wish to cure all poisons, first visualize your own body as the Garuda King (Garuda, the King of the Golden-Winged Bird), vast and complete. Then visualize the patient's form and constitution, so vast as to accommodate the five great visualizations. Then visualize space, appearing as a black circle, boundless, located on the patient's forehead, with the syllable 'ha' in the center. Then visualize the fire element, appearing as blazing flames, triangular in shape, located in their heart, with the syllable 'om' in the center. Then visualize the water element, appearing as a crescent shape, green in color, located in their navel, with the syllable 'pa' in the center. 又法若依前自中毒法。布五大觀。以賀空從頂趁毒令下亦得。若倒布五大。以賀空從足向上趁亦得。想其毒於一處支節中出。或諸處出皆隨意。若病輕者。當無所苦。若病狀重者。毒出之處當微損其支節勿怪。若有黃水或諸惡汁出者。此其毒也。

Visualize the poison exiting from one joint or from various places as desired. If the illness is mild, there will be no suffering. If the condition is severe, the place where the poison exits may slightly damage the joint, but do not be alarmed. If yellow fluid or foul-smelling liquid comes out, that is the poison.

Another method for collecting poison.

Each time, use the Garuda Heart Mantra, reciting the mantra once and making a gesture of grabbing and throwing it in the air. However, if you are unsure, first perform the five elements meditation, then remove the poison with the hand gesture, keeping the 'Ha' syllable emptiness meditation in mind. Chase the poison with the hand gesture, and the illness will be cured with the hand. When you want to finish, quickly grab and throw it out, letting it go with your intention. Whenever performing a ritual, first establish a boundary and protect yourself, then concentrate and close your eyes, visualizing internally. Once the visualization is complete, like a person drawing a character, after one stroke, you can proceed.

It is better to perform visualization without mantras than to recite mantras emptily without practicing visualization. Garuda Section Kumarakarana Deva Mantra (Tang translation: Pierced-Ear Deva): Om (one) Namo Bhagavate (two) Tatva (two combined) Garuda ya (three) Khrih (two combined) Kimbhakarna (five) Maha-ra (drawn out) Khakhasa (two combined) si (six) Visa-para (two combined) ta (drawn out) pana (seven) Hūm (eight) Svāhā (nine). This deva's ears are shaped like the 'Dui' trigram, hence the name. This mantra is effective as soon as it is recited and can be used immediately. If encountering earth poison, secretly recite this mantra three to five times in the person's ear, and the illness will be cured. The outside of the boundary is blue, followed inward by red, then yellow, then white, and the innermost is black. Each of these five paths (referring to the five colored areas) is about half an inch wide and adjacent to each other. Then apply the colors. In the very center, draw an image of Garuda (a divine bird), facing north with a golden body. Also include the Eight Naga Kings, the Devas (gods), the Golden Mountain, fresh water, and the sea, all in the correct order. Follow this method for all subsequent images. Then arrange seasonal flowers. Place a bottle at each of the four corners outside the blue path, each bottle wrapped with colorful ribbons, filled with clear water, and with seasonal flowers inserted into the mouth of the bottle. Use ghee, cow's milk, curd, and honey to make dough, radishes, and various foods to offer to Vinayaka (the elephant-headed god) and his retinue. Burn various precious incenses. Recite the Vinayaka scattering flower mantra, empowering the incense and flowers seven times, and then offer them. Vinayaka and his retinue, having received the offerings, will be very pleased and will not create demonic obstacles. The practice will be unobstructed and all accomplishments will be attained. If one dreams of a noble person or an old monk, know that this is Garuda. This indicates great blessings. If one dreams of a young monk, it is the Naga Kings. If one dreams of a black monk in a wrathful form, it is Kulika Naga King. These are all auspicious signs. The Golden Mountain at the deity's feet is the Golden Mountain outside Mount Sumeru. The pool in front is the fresh water beside the Golden Mountain.

They move back and forth swiftly, like a whirlwind. In an instant, they reach everywhere. They possess great divine power, capable of uprooting trees and moving mountains.

Those who contemplate Agni Deva (fire god) have a radiant and incomparable appearance. The flames of merit have been rising since a thousand days ago. The syllable 'Ra' is the true form of the heavenly king, and a thousand lights arise simultaneously, all with beautiful sounds, transforming into a circular halo. The halo generates a thousand flames and is extremely light and agile. It possesses great fiery power, capable of burning the entire three thousand great thousand worlds when a fire disaster arises. The power of this deity (Agni Deva) is equal to that of other deities, without any difference.

Those who contemplate Prithvi Deva (earth god) have a great and extraordinary appearance and are very brave and strong. Each time they walk and stop, it is like Indra (king of gods) riding an elephant, proceeding slowly. They possess great power, and their flames of merit are like Jambudvipa gold (a type of gold). Their face faces west, bearing vajra (diamond) light. They are located in the eleventh seat below Maheshvara (Shiva). They subdue twelve calamities, preventing them from causing weeping. Their power can roam among the heavens, accumulating poison like mountains. This deity (Prithvi Deva) can subdue the poison in living beings, eliminating it and removing fear. The appearance of this deity (Prithvi Deva) surpasses all the gods. The syllable 'La' fills the armor, and like the earth, it can bear all things. If all the gods do not contemplate Prithvi Deva, their actions will not succeed.

Those who contemplate Varuna Deva (water god) have a color like kyū (a type of blue), and like grasping for the moon in water. Like the waves of the ocean, endless and limitless. Their voice is frightening and terrifying. The syllable 'Va' is wrapped around their waist, capable of destroying poisonous snakes and harming their lives. Poison like mountains can be dissolved.

Those who contemplate Akasha Deva (space god) contemplate the syllable 'Ah' in their navel. When the sun first sets, space appears in colors of blue, yellow, red, white, and black. These are the colors of space. It also appears in rainbow colors, like fire, like snow, like the color of a bone-colored oriole (a type of bird), like red crystal, like green crystal, like the color of the sun at sunrise, like the color of the moon at moonrise, and like gold. The syllable 'Ah' is space, which is also the body of Garuda (a mythical bird).

Any Dharma master who practices this Dharma will be unsurpassed in heaven and earth. The masses will not become his enemies, and ghosts and spirits will not dare to approach him. He will achieve Siddhi (accomplishment), and be the most victorious among all Dharmas. The 㭇娑 (Tang yun e, translated as 'goose' in Tang Dynasty)磨攞 (Tang yun gen ben, translated as 'root' in Tang Dynasty) Mandala (sacred circle). This Mandala should first be ritually purified by smearing it with cow dung, and then drawn with white color. The Mandala should have four gates. Take a bottle filled with clean water, and insert lotus flowers or arrange miscellaneous flowers in the mouth of the bottle, and place it in the Mandala. You should invite those who are supposed to descend and receive offerings to come and receive them. Then, scoop up clean water with your hand and empower it with the secret mantra three times. Then form the Great Mudra, and all karmic obstacles will be eliminated. If you are poisoned or others are poisoned, seeing this Great Mudra will eliminate all poisons. The appearance of the various Mudras and Great Mudras is to cross the fingers of both hands, with the left hand pressing on the right, and forming a hollow-hearted joined palm. The power of this Great Mudra is divided into four types. What are the four types? The thumbs of both hands represent the Deva realm, the index fingers represent the Yaksha realm, the middle fingers represent the celestial maiden realm, the ring fingers represent the ghost realm, and the little fingers represent the Naga realm (the above is one part). 【English Translation】 English version Fist Mudra. Press the thumb on the three fingers to make a fist. Press the thumb's nail on the nails of the three fingers, raise the index finger on the patient's body, and the poison will be dispersed by this empty summoning. If you want to hook out the poison, slightly bend the index finger to hook it out, and the poison will come out at will. If you want the poison to go far away, flick the index finger and thumb outwards, and the poison will go away at will.

Human Fishing Mudra. If it is poison caused by all ghosts and spirits, form this mudra. The shape of the mudra is: bend the hand, make a fist with the index, middle, and ring fingers, join the thumb's nail with the two little fingers, and summon the patient who is bound by ghosts and spirits in the void. If you want to ask him (the ghost or spirit) the reason, they will all state it themselves. If you want a quick recovery, form the Ambrosia Mudra and place it on your heart, and you will recover immediately.

Furthermore, if the poison is difficult to treat, make a fist with the index, middle, ring, and little fingers of the left hand, and raise the thumb. The patient should stand up. Also, a method for curing snake venom

First, visualize water and fire surrounding the patient. Then, visualize the fire element surrounding the water, and then visualize the wind element enveloping the fire element from the outside. After visualizing this clearly, recite the wind-raising mantra, visualizing the wind blowing the fire. Then recite the fire-starting mantra, visualizing the flames blazing, burning the water within. The water will lose its power, surging and boiling, eliminating the patient's suffering, and the earth poison will be cured. The five great elements of wind, fire, earth, water, and space are the very body of the principal deity. You should carefully visualize this on your own body, according to the method for poisoning yourself. Then visualize your form as being identical to the principal deity. Then, with a mind full of wrath, look at the patient.

Also, form the Ambrosia Mudra. All ghostly influences and all poisonous diseases will be eliminated and cured.

Another method is to visualize the wind element enveloping the patient, with the patient in the middle of the wind element. Visualize the wind blowing the fire, burning the patient, and the illness will be cured.

Garuda(mythical bird) has five kinds of power: first, visualizing the earth element can restrain all poisons; second, fire visualization can burn all poisons; third, wind visualization can cause disease to enter; fourth, the water method can eliminate all suffering; fifth, space visualization can dispel all suffering.

此五字觀密言。其修行者每日三時。各誦千返。皆沐浴盛服。絕葷血及興慈善心。住本觀尊。施設道場。對於畫像供養禮敬。尊重讚歎。滿足百日。于其中間獨坐思惟而食。初夜星現。是其時三十萬畢。即於是日便作大壇。用果木薪取蘇密相和。又加持油麻日粳米安悉香進大中。如前三時各一千返。必獲善應。其人當成殊勝悉地。身同本尊。威力亦等。所行眾法無不火驗。若求勝愿。準此而求。乃至仙天。長生隱形伏藏等隨意。而愿欲見大天。亦為現形滿一切勝愿。

修持此五字觀真言者,每日早、中、晚三個時辰,各誦唸一千遍。每次誦唸前都要沐浴更衣,保持身心潔凈,斷絕葷腥,心懷慈悲。觀想本尊形象,設定道場,面對本尊畫像,供養、禮敬、尊重、讚歎。堅持一百天,在此期間獨自靜坐思惟並進食。在初夜星辰出現時,完成三十萬遍的誦唸。就在這一天,設定大型壇場,用果木柴,混合酥油和蜂蜜,再加入加持過的油麻、粳米和安息香,放入壇中焚燒。如前一樣,早、中、晚三個時辰各誦唸一千遍,必定獲得好的感應。此人將會成就殊勝的悉地(siddhi,成就),身形如同本尊,威力也相等同。所修行的各種法術都會靈驗。如果想要求得殊勝的願望,按照這個方法去求,乃至求得仙人的境界、長生不老、隱身術、伏藏等等,都能如願以償。如果想要見到大天(Mahadeva,濕婆神),大天也會顯現身形,滿足一切殊勝的願望。

烏真言

Five-Syllable Mantra

Those who practice this five-syllable contemplation mantra should recite it one thousand times each during the three periods of the day: morning, noon, and evening. Each time, they should bathe and dress properly, maintaining cleanliness of body and mind, abstain from meat and blood, and cultivate a compassionate heart. Visualize the form of the principal deity, set up a mandala, and face the deity's image, making offerings, paying homage, showing respect, and offering praise. Persist for one hundred days, during which time sit alone in contemplation and eat. When the stars appear in the early evening, complete three hundred thousand recitations. On that very day, set up a large altar, using fruit-wood firewood, mixing ghee and honey, and adding sesame seeds, japonica rice, and benzoin incense that have been blessed, placing them in the center of the altar for burning. As before, recite one thousand times during each of the three periods of the day, and you will surely receive a good response. This person will achieve supreme siddhi (accomplishment), their form will be like that of the principal deity, and their power will be equal. All the practices they perform will be effective. If you seek supreme wishes, seek them in accordance with this method, even to attain the realm of immortals, longevity, invisibility, hidden treasures, etc., all will be as desired. If you wish to see Mahadeva (Shiva), he will also manifest his form and fulfill all supreme wishes.

Twenty-Four Syllable Mantra

U Mantra

First, use the thumb of the left hand to rub the tip of the index finger of the same hand. Use this mantra to bless it seven times, then form the U mudra (hand gesture). The mudra is formed by making a fist with the index, middle, and ring fingers of the left hand, pressing the little finger's middle joint with the thumb, and extending the little finger. Visualize the syllable 'Ya' in the palm. Recite this mantra seven times. If the poisoned person still has warmth near their heart, use this mudra to bless them, and they will be healed.

Extend the middle finger straight. Press the thumb onto the second joint line of the middle finger. If someone is injured by snakes, scorpions, spiders, etc., seeing this seal will cure them.

Purification Mantra (清凈密言)

Once the Dragon Kings are assembled, recite this mantra seven times, and all their retinue will be greatly delighted. Their minds will naturally revert from their ordinary forms to attain the body-method of the principal deity. The method for attaining the body is as follows: One should sit in meditation at the entrance to contemplation, with lips and teeth merely closed together, ears hearing nothing, and eyes seeing nothing. Then, close the eyes and concentrate the mind, visualizing the principal deity as if present before you. Imagine yourself forming the Great Mudra three times, scattering it upon your body. Each time, offer reverence and prostrations to the principal deity. Also, imagine a tall golden mountain, scattering it upon your body, and on the mountain, offer obeisance and worship to the principal deity. The practitioner's heart should be filled with joy. Following this method of contemplation, the devas will make offerings to this person. Furthermore, imagine your form resembling the principal deity, standing on the golden mountain. Also, visualize a full moon in the sky, with the principal deity residing within it. Recite the mantra, visualizing the principal deity descending from the moon into the practitioner's heart, so that your body merges with the principal deity, wearing true-colored or golden garments.

Furthermore, the method for attaining the body. The establishment of the world is supported by eight dragons; without their power, it would be difficult to endure for long. The Four Heavenly Kings govern cold, and the Four Heavenly Kings govern heat. Those who wish to attain the body should recite the mantra for summoning the Dragon Kings seven times, visualizing the kings personally descending to adorn their bodies. Ānanda (Ānanda, Bliss) is on the crown of the head, appearing white. Vasuki (Vasuki, Possessing Treasure) is in the left ear, serving as an earring, appearing red. Takshaka (Takshaka, Multi-tongued) is on the right side of the body, serving as an earring, appearing yellow. Karkotaka (Karkotaka, Dragon's name) is on the left upper arm, serving as a bracelet, appearing red. Padma (Padma, Lotus) is on the right upper arm, serving as a bracelet, appearing white. Contemplating the Mandala Method

There are two colors for contemplating the mandala: white and black. The white mandala is for placing the sick person, and the black mandala is for the practitioner's own location. The method is to sit upright, surrounding the body.

又法若毒中心者。此法可療。黃壇白壇準前作觀。乃想攞在病人心。啰在臍下。布二字已。於行者左手掌中。想八葉蓮花。觀嚩佉數(二合)佉叉(二合)污惹跛佉使婆嚩(二合)等八字各在一葉。又觀賀跛二字白色。婆嚩(二合)碧色。賀黑色等四字。在蓮臺上。分明觀畢。想蓮旋轉而諸葉上各放金色光。又想空中有滿月。本尊于中而立。又念降於蓮臺上坐其蓮。因大振動本尊身放百千光明。如日照耀。其光宛轉流入白檀病人身中存。光入已結獚爪印。六度撮擲。又存以翅扇撮擲之。其毒永息。其白檀中病人躋下所布啰字。其字之神即大天也。天具三首八目兩臂。身皆焰起。

In the center is a thousand-petaled lotus, with a yellow platform and red leaves. The platform is one elbow-length in diameter, with the syllable La on it. Imagine your body as the principal deity. The syllable Wang stands above the La syllable. Next, describe the position of the white sandalwood deity, following the previous lotus platform, where white transforms into white and then exists. Have the patient stand naked on this platform. Imagine a crystal bottle in the sky, filled with nectar, gently dripping onto the patient. One should visualize the syllable Va on the patient's forehead, and another Va syllable bound at the patient's feet. Imagine a Va syllable in each ear. Also, visualize the syllables Hapa (two syllables) as white, Bhava as azure, and Ha as black, etc., these four syllables are on the lotus platform. After clearly visualizing, imagine the lotus rotating, with each petal emitting golden light. Also, imagine a full moon in the sky, with the principal deity standing in the middle. Then recite, descending onto the lotus platform, sitting on the lotus, causing a great earthquake, the principal deity's body emitting hundreds of thousands of lights, like the sun shining. These lights gently flow into the white sandalwood patient's body. After the light enters, form the hawk claw mudra, and toss it six times. Also, imagine fanning and tossing with wings. In this way, the poison will be eliminated forever. In the white sandalwood, the syllable Ra placed under the patient's feet, the deity of this syllable is Mahadeva (the great god).
