寶思惟三藏譯

爾時那羅延天在於須彌山頂上。集諸天大眾梵天王及大自在天王天帝釋等。亦有無量天龍夜叉乾闥婆緊那羅摩呼羅伽人非人等。亦有無數鬼神等。共會說法。其甘露妙藥及和合安置瓶中。爾時阿修羅王變形入其瓶中。食其甘露妙藥。於是那羅延天見阿修羅王入其瓶中。以其金輪就於瓶中側之。其阿修羅王半身遂斷。阿修羅作病者。取白芥子安悉香胡麻蘇蜜相和。取佉陀羅木長□指。一百八段。一咒一燒。稱彼□人名字。即得除愈。

次說印法。

護身印。二小指相叉。于掌中二無名指押小指上。又二中指直豎。二頭指捻二中指上。二大指捻中指中節。右轉三匝即名護身。然後作一切法事。無有障礙。

刀印。左手小指名指□上節。大母指押小指無名指節上。中指頭指直豎向上。

輪印。定手風空相捻圓如輪狀。上擲三度向所障處打□□一切阿修羅皆悉斷。

次火印。定手作金剛拳。右手直舒五指微動。以左頭指柱右手心能燒一切設睹嚕心爛以印大焰向彼指之。想火燒彼如是並護摩必使母陀也。

當時,那羅延天(Narayana,保護神)在須彌山(Mount Sumeru,宇宙中心的神山)頂上。聚集了諸天大眾,包括梵天王(Brahma,創造之神)、大自在天王(Maheshvara,濕婆神的別稱)、天帝釋(Indra,眾神之王)等。還有無量的天龍(Devas and Nagas,天上的龍族)、夜叉(Yakshas,守護神)、乾闥婆(Gandharvas,天上的樂神)、緊那羅(Kinnaras,半人半鳥的神)、摩呼羅伽(Mahoragas,大蟒神)、人、非人等,以及無數的鬼神等,共同集會說法。他們將甘露妙藥和合安置在瓶中。這時,阿修羅王(Asura,非天,與天神對立的神族)變形進入瓶中,偷食甘露妙藥。於是那羅延天看見阿修羅王進入瓶中,用他的金輪(Chakra,一種圓形的武器)擊打瓶子。阿修羅王半身被斬斷。如果阿修羅作病,就取白芥子、安悉香、胡麻、蘇蜜相和,取佉陀羅木(Khathira,一種樹木)長□指,一百八段,每咒一次燒一段,稱念那個□人的名字,病就能痊癒。

接下來講述印法。

護身印:兩小指相叉,在掌中用兩無名指壓住小指上。再將兩中指直豎,兩頭指捻兩中指上,兩大指捻中指中節。右轉三圈,就叫做護身。然後做一切法事,就沒有障礙。

刀印:左手小指、名指彎曲壓在上節。大拇指壓住小指、無名指的指節上。中指、頭指直豎向上。

輪印:用定手(左手)的風指(食指)和空指(拇指)相捻,圓如輪狀。向上拋擲三次,向所要阻擋的地方打去,一切阿修羅都會被斬斷。

接下來是火印:用定手(左手)作成金剛拳(Vajra fist,一種手勢),右手直舒五指,微微顫動。用左手頭指抵住右手掌心,能燒燬一切設睹嚕(Shatru,敵人)的心,使其腐爛。用印的大焰指向敵人。觀想火燒敵人,這樣並進行護摩(Homa,火供),必定能成功。

At that time, Narayana was on the summit of Mount Sumeru (Mount Sumeru, the divine mountain at the center of the universe). He gathered all the heavenly hosts, including Brahma (Brahma, the creator god), Maheshvara (Maheshvara, another name for Shiva), Indra (Indra, the king of the gods), and others. There were also immeasurable Devas and Nagas (Devas and Nagas, heavenly dragons), Yakshas (Yakshas, guardian deities), Gandharvas (Gandharvas, heavenly musicians), Kinnaras (Kinnaras, half-human, half-bird deities), Mahoragas (Mahoragas, great serpent deities), humans, non-humans, and countless ghosts and spirits, all gathered to expound the Dharma. They placed the nectarous ambrosia together in a bottle. At that time, the Asura King (Asura, non-gods, a race of deities opposed to the gods) transformed and entered the bottle, stealing and consuming the nectarous ambrosia. Thereupon, Narayana saw the Asura King enter the bottle and struck the bottle with his golden wheel (Chakra, a circular weapon). The Asura King's body was severed in half. If an Asura causes illness, take white mustard seeds, benzoin, sesame, ghee, and honey, mix them together, and take Khathira (Khathira, a type of tree) wood, □ fingers in length, one hundred and eight pieces. Chant a mantra once for each piece and burn it, calling out the name of that □ person, and the illness will be cured.

Next, the mudra methods are explained.

Protection Mudra: Cross the two little fingers. In the palm, press the two ring fingers on top of the little fingers. Then, erect the two middle fingers straight up. Pinch the two index fingers onto the two middle fingers. Pinch the two thumbs onto the middle joints of the middle fingers. Rotate three times to the right, and this is called protection. Then, perform all Dharma activities without any obstacles.

Sword Mudra: Bend the little finger and ring finger of the left hand and press them on the upper joint. Press the thumb on the joints of the little finger and ring finger. Erect the middle finger and index finger straight up.

Wheel Mudra: With the Samadhi hand (left hand), twist the wind finger (index finger) and space finger (thumb) together, round like a wheel. Throw it upwards three times, striking towards the place you want to obstruct, and all Asuras will be cut off.

Next is the Fire Mudra: Make a Vajra fist (Vajra fist, a hand gesture) with the Samadhi hand (left hand). Extend the five fingers of the right hand straight out, moving them slightly. Press the index finger of the left hand against the palm of the right hand, which can burn the heart of all Shatrus (Shatru, enemies), causing it to rot. Point the great flames of the mudra towards the enemy. Visualize the fire burning the enemy. Perform the homa (Homa, fire offering) in this way, and you will surely succeed.
