行者若欲修是法者。先應知是王五變之身並其大宮一一緣起。其五變者。一者焰羅法王。是即本號也。二者死王。三者黃泉國善賀羅王。四者料罪忿怒王。五者檀拏少忿怒王。本宮在鐵圍山之北地中。是即冥道宮也。五萬眷屬而為圍繞。宮中庭有檀拏幢。其頭有一少忿怒之面。王常見其面知人間罪輕重善惡。人間有作重罪之者。從其口出火光光中黑繩涌出警覺。見木札知其姓名料記之。又有作善之者。白蓮花從口開敷。其香普薰大山府君五道將軍王。常奉王教能定善惡。凡欲修是法時設供物。國王王子及百宦宰相等人民。隨人應設供物。胡麻油五穀紙錢幣帛香藥等用之。蘇蜜安善那香藥等。入粥和合可煮之。求露地閑靜之處。宜修供不知意人見之。楊枝五尺以是教其位。是法疫病氣病一切病惱時。宜修兼能修之。正報盡付死籍。能乞王削死籍付生籍。到疫病之家。多誦大山府君咒。
行者著座涂香摩手臂。南無釋迦牟尼如來御名七遍可誦之。以香水灑地上(用竹葉)加持香水。真言曰。

修行者若想修習此法,首先應當瞭解焰羅王五種變化的化身及其大宮殿的種種緣起。這五種變化是:第一是焰羅法王(Yama Dharma Raja),這是他的本名。第二是死王(Lord of Death)。第三是黃泉國善賀羅王(King Subhakara of the Underworld)。第四是料罪忿怒王(Wrathful King who Judges Sins)。第五是檀拏少忿怒王(Danda, Minor Wrathful King)。他的本宮位於鐵圍山(Cakravada)的北面地中,即是冥道宮。有五萬眷屬圍繞。宮殿的庭院中有一檀拏幢(Danda banner),其頂端有一少忿怒面。閻王常常觀看此面,從而知曉人間罪行的輕重善惡。人間若有人造下重罪,從此面口中會發出火光,光中涌出黑繩(Kalasutra),以此警覺,並見到木札,知曉其姓名並記錄。若有人行善,則有白蓮花從此面口中開放,其香氣普遍薰染。大山府君(Mahasaila-bhuta)、五道將軍等常奉閻王教令,能判定善惡。凡是想修習此法時,應設定供品。國王、王子以及百官宰相等人民,應根據各自身份設定相應的供品。可以使用胡麻油、五穀、紙錢、幣帛、香藥等。蘇蜜(酥油和蜂蜜)、安善那(一種香料)等香藥,可以加入粥中一起煮。應尋找露天且安靜的地方修供,不希望被不理解的人看到。楊枝五尺長,用它來教示其位置。此法在疫病、氣病等一切病惱時,適宜修習,兼能修之。如果正報已盡,名字已在死亡名籍上,能祈求閻王削去死籍,加入生籍。到有疫病的人家,應多多誦持大山府君咒。
修行者著座后,涂香于手。唸誦「南無釋迦牟尼如來」御名七遍。用香水灑在地上(用竹葉),並加持香水。真言曰:

The Sequential Method for the Yama Raja Offering Ritual

If a practitioner wishes to practice this Dharma, they should first understand the five transformed bodies of this King (Yama Raja) and the origins of his great palace. These five transformations are: first, Yama Dharma Raja (the King of the Law, Yama), which is his original name; second, the Lord of Death (Mara Raja); third, King Subhakara (Good Action King) of the Underworld; fourth, the Wrathful King who Judges Sins (the Wrathful King who assesses transgressions); and fifth, Danda, Minor Wrathful King (Danda, the lesser Wrathful King). His main palace is located in the earth north of Mount Cakravada (Iron Encircling Mountains), which is the palace of the Netherworld. It is surrounded by fifty thousand attendants. In the courtyard of the palace, there is a Danda banner (Danda flag). At its top is a minor wrathful face. The King (Yama) constantly observes this face, thereby knowing the weight of sins, good and evil, in the human realm. If someone in the human realm commits a grave sin, firelight will emanate from the mouth of this face, and black ropes (Kalashutra) will emerge from the light to give warning. He sees wooden tablets, knows their names, and records them. If someone performs good deeds, a white lotus flower will bloom from the mouth of this face, and its fragrance will pervade everywhere. Mahasaila-bhuta (Great Mountain Lord), the Five Paths Generals, and others constantly uphold the King's teachings and can determine good and evil. Whenever one wishes to practice this Dharma, one should set up offerings. Kings, princes, and officials, as well as common people, should set up offerings according to their respective status. Sesame oil, five grains, paper money, silk fabrics, incense, and medicine can be used. Ghee and honey (Su-mi), as well as benzoin (An-shan-na) and other incense and medicines, can be added to porridge and cooked together. One should seek a quiet place in the open to perform the offering, not wishing to be seen by those who do not understand. A willow branch of five feet in length should be used to indicate his position. This Dharma is suitable for practice during times of epidemic, diseases of the vital energy, and all kinds of illnesses. If the retribution body is exhausted and the name is on the death register, one can pray to the King (Yama) to remove the name from the death register and add it to the life register. When visiting the home of someone with an epidemic, one should recite the Mahasaila-bhuta mantra frequently.
The practitioner, upon taking their seat, should apply fragrant ointment to their hands. The honorable name of 'Namo Shakyamuni Tathagata' should be recited seven times. Sprinkle fragrant water on the ground (using bamboo leaves) and bless the fragrant water. The mantra is:

供師運一念離自他之異故曰無遮心。絕怨親之念號平等。能行是法是菩薩行廣大之愿。能運是慈。是如來慈。為諸福之王。在三檀之上者。良由佛說無盡威德自在光明勝妙真言加持之力也。能令一食為無量食。又使一財成無盡財。一一財食量同法界。普施有情。悉皆充足甘露法食。法食充飽罪滅福生。離惡趣身受人天報。能令施主增益壽命消除業障。即得滿足檀波羅蜜現招勝果當證菩提。妙力難思信而不惑。今日施主(某甲)奉為皇帝宰輔及法界有情。普設無遮廣大供養。先從諸佛菩薩金剛天等。乃至鬼類冥道諸餓鬼僧尼靈等。記其名籍上。一一立壇上。以供物置籍前。當誦甘露王真言。加持供物觀想。右手掌內有字。是字流出甘露水。充滿諸供物等。

已上香水以竹枝灑之。若露地修是法。勿向桃柳之本。

供養上師,運用一念遠離自他的差異,所以稱為無遮心。斷絕怨恨親愛的念頭,稱為平等。能夠實行這種法,就是菩薩行廣大之愿。能夠運用這種慈悲,就是如來的慈悲。是諸福之王,在三種佈施之上。這是因為佛所說的無盡威德自在光明勝妙真言加持的力量。能夠使一份食物變為無量食物,又使一份財物成為無盡財物。每一份財物食物的量都與法界相同,普遍佈施給有情眾生,全部都充足甘露法食。法食充足飽滿,罪業消滅,福德增長,離開惡趣之身,承受人天之報。能夠使施主增益壽命,消除業障,立即得到滿足檀波羅蜜(Dānapāramitā,佈施波羅蜜),現在招感殊勝的果報,將來證得菩提(Bodhi,覺悟)。妙力難以思議,相信而不疑惑。今日施主(某甲)爲了皇帝宰輔以及法界有情眾生,普遍設定無遮廣大供養。先從諸佛菩薩金剛天等,乃至鬼類冥道諸餓鬼僧尼靈等。記錄他們的名字在名籍上,一一立在壇上。用供物放置在名籍前,應當誦甘露王真言,加持供物,觀想右手掌內有字,這個字流出甘露水,充滿各種供物等。

以上香水用竹枝灑之。如果露天修習此法,不要朝向桃樹柳樹的根部。
接下來可以迎請諸佛菩薩。
一心奉請本師釋迦牟尼佛(Śākyamuni,釋迦牟尼佛)。
【English Translation】 English version: hūṃ svā oṃ a mi li di he na he na hūṃ svāhā hā
Offering to the guru, employing a single thought that transcends the differentiation between self and others is called the 'unobstructed mind'. Severing the thoughts of hatred and affection is termed 'equality'. The ability to practice this Dharma is the vast aspiration of a Bodhisattva. The ability to wield this compassion is the compassion of a Tathagata (如來,Tathāgata). It is the king of all blessings, above the three kinds of giving. This is due to the power of the blessing of the Buddha's spoken inexhaustible majestic virtue, self-existent light, supreme and wondrous true mantra. It can transform one portion of food into limitless food, and also transform one portion of wealth into inexhaustible wealth. The measure of each portion of wealth and food is the same as the Dharmadhatu (法界,Dharmadhātu), universally bestowing it upon sentient beings, all of whom are fully satisfied with the nectar-like Dharma food. When the Dharma food is fully satiating, sins are extinguished, and blessings arise, departing from the body of the evil realms and receiving the rewards of humans and gods. It can enable the benefactor to increase lifespan and eliminate karmic obstacles, immediately attaining the fulfillment of Dānapāramitā (檀波羅蜜,Dānapāramitā, Perfection of Giving), presently inviting supreme results, and in the future, realizing Bodhi (菩提,Bodhi, Enlightenment). Its wondrous power is inconceivable; believe in it without doubt. Today, the benefactor (name) on behalf of the emperor, ministers, and all sentient beings in the Dharmadhatu, universally establishes an unobstructed and vast offering. First, from all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Vajra (金剛,Vajra) deities, and so on, up to the ghosts, beings in the netherworld, all hungry ghosts, monks, nuns, spirits, and so on. Record their names on the register, and individually place them on the altar. Place the offerings in front of the register, and recite the mantra of the King of Nectar, blessing the offerings, visualizing that within the palm of the right hand there is a seed syllable, from which flows forth nectar, filling all the offerings, and so on.
Mantra for purifying with clean water
oṃ va jra śa ni hūṃ pha ṭ
The above fragrant water is sprinkled with a bamboo branch. If practicing this Dharma in an open area, do not face the roots of peach or willow trees.
Next, one may invite all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
With one-pointed devotion, I invite the original teacher, Śākyamuni Buddha (釋迦牟尼佛,Śākyamuni).
一心奉請世間廣大威德自在明神。
一心奉請西方極樂世界阿彌陀佛。
一心奉請當來下生彌勒尊佛。
一心奉請盡虛空界一切諸佛。
一心奉請大聖文殊師利菩薩摩訶薩。
一心奉請大聖普賢菩薩摩訶薩。
一心奉請大悲觀世音菩薩摩訶薩。
一心奉請大勢至菩薩摩訶薩。

【English Translation】 English version: With one heart, I reverently invite the World-Honored, Vastly Powerful, and Self-Sufficient Bright Spirit. With one heart, I reverently invite Amitabha (Amitabha) of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. With one heart, I reverently invite Maitreya (Maitreya), the Venerable Buddha who will descend to be born in the future. With one heart, I reverently invite all the Buddhas throughout the entire realm of empty space. With one heart, I reverently invite the Great Sage Manjushri Bodhisattva Mahasattva (Manjushri Bodhisattva Mahasattva). With one heart, I reverently invite the Great Sage Samantabhadra Bodhisattva Mahasattva (Samantabhadra Bodhisattva Mahasattva). With one heart, I reverently invite the Great Compassionate Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva Mahasattva (Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva Mahasattva). With one heart, I reverently invite the Great Strength Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva Mahasattva (Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva Mahasattva). With one heart, I reverently invite all the Dharma-protecting Vajra Secret Traces and all the virtuous divine hosts. I sincerely hope that our original teacher, Sakyamuni Tathagata (Sakyamuni Tathagata), and all the Buddhas, all the great Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas, and all the virtuous and holy beings throughout the ten directions, pervading the empty space and filling the Dharma realm, will not abandon their great vows today and at this time. For the sake of sentient beings, may they accept our invitation, descend upon this sacred ground, and receive the offerings presented by today's donor (so-and-so). Now, we shall rely on the summoning mantra to invite the beings of the netherworld. May the Three Jewels have compassion and accept our offerings, protect (so-and-so), and eliminate calamities. If this person's karmic reward is exhausted, even if their name is already on the register of death, may King Yama have mercy and compassion, and expediently remove their name from the register of death. May it be as with the great vows of the past, and immediately inscribe their name on the register of life, so that they may live to be a hundred years old and see a hundred autumns (and so on). Then recite the mantra for gathering and summoning all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas: Namo Samanta Buddhanam Ah Sarva Tatra Pratihata Tathagata

印二羽忿怒縛。二風屈如鉤。請了即獻供物。先釋迦。次普賢文殊(若用王法者請佛菩薩次第可供之)次可請梵天帝釋及四天(印金剛合掌稱名)四天王每座有一鬼其名東方健達婆王。南方俱盤荼王。西方諸龍。北方二十八大藥叉。供了次大梵天。帝釋四王印真言。

左手大拇指、中指、小指皆豎立向上,屈食指、無名指,拳握于掌上,手掌向前,屈肘向上。咒語如下:

梵天印
左手作拳按于腰間,右手五指相併豎立,略微彎曲,高過肩膀。觀想掌內有一朵蓮花。真言曰:
『唵(om) 沒羅(二合)(brahma) 訶么(二合)(ṇe svāhā) 寧娑嚩(二合)訶』
次為帝釋天印。
右手同前按腰。左手五指直豎,相併,地水二指屈中節,以風指背貼於火指背,空指屈中節。真言曰:
『唵(om) 因捺啰(二合)(indrā) 野娑嚩(二合)訶』
焰魔檀陀呼召印真言
以兩手中指、無名指、小指交叉相疊,二頭指豎立,指尖相拄,二大拇指各附於二頭指側。開掌如掬水之狀。大拇指來回移動。真言曰:

【English Translation】 English version 『Dǎng (Yǐn) Jǔ Shě Mào Dì Zuǒ Lǐ Yě (Er Hé) Bǒ Lǐ Bù Luó Jiā Suō Pó (Er Hé) Hē』
Mudra: Form the Wrathful Binding Mudra with both hands. Bend the two wind fingers like hooks. After inviting the Buddhas, offer the offerings. First offer to Śākyamuni Buddha. Then offer to Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva (if used for royal law, the order of inviting Buddhas and Bodhisattvas can be adjusted). Next, you can invite Brahmā, Indra, and the Four Heavenly Kings (form the Vajra joined-palms mudra, reciting their names). Each of the Four Heavenly Kings has a ghost spirit under their seat, whose names are: the Gandharva of Dhṛtarāṣṭra in the East, the Kumbhāṇḍa of Virūḍhaka in the South, the dragons of Virūpākṣa in the West, and the twenty-eight great Yakṣas of Vaiśravaṇa in the North. After completing the offerings, next offer the mudra and mantra of Mahābrahmā, Indra, and the Four Heavenly Kings.
Universal Heart Mantra Mudra of the Four Heavenly Kings
Raise the thumb, middle finger, and little finger of the left hand upwards. Bend the index finger and ring finger, clenching them into the palm. Face the palm forward, bend the elbow upwards. The mantra is as follows:
『Oṃ jaṃbhala śreṇḍharāya svāhā』
Brahmā Mudra
Make a fist with the left hand and press it against the waist. Raise the five fingers of the right hand together, slightly bent, higher than the shoulder. Visualize a lotus flower within the palm. The mantra is:
『Oṃ brahmaṇe svāhā』
Next is the Indra Mudra.
The right hand is the same as before, pressing against the waist. Raise the five fingers of the left hand straight, together. Bend the middle joints of the earth and water fingers, with the back of the wind finger touching the back of the fire finger, bend the middle joint of the space finger. The mantra is:

Yama Daṇḍa Summoning Mudra and Mantra
Cross the middle finger, ring finger, and little finger of both hands. Raise the two index fingers, with their tips touching. Attach the two thumbs to the sides of the two index fingers. Open the palms as if scooping water. Move the thumbs back and forth. The mantra is:

【English Translation】 English version: Offering to Mahabrahma Deva (Great Brahma King) and the Four Heavenly Kings, one will immediately attain liberation. If one desires to gain blessings and merits, one can separately make offerings to the Twenty-eight Great Yakshas (Yaksa generals, retinues of Vaisravana). If one wishes to save the life of the retribution body, one can separately make offerings to Yama Raja (King Yama) and the Five Paths Generals, and thus one will be removed from the register of death and entered into the register of life. In general, everything is according to the practitioner's intention. However, money and silk fabrics are not needed for offerings. The Acharya (teacher) can summon and make offerings to the local Naga deities (Dragon Gods) and all spirits (in a separate seat), everything as one wishes. Always use new clothes, pierce a hole in them within the altar, and place the new clothes there. At all times, using the Yama Raja mantra, take out pancakes and five-grain porridge from the altar, add various fragrant flowers and water, place them in clean vessels, and scatter them in the four directions with a joyful heart.
