提頭攞宅善神 綠青色。開口現忿怒相貌。被甲冑著赤衣。右手持大刀。左手捧鉾。發紫色也。

毗盧勒叉善神 赤紫色。忿怒相現閉唇之形。右拔折啰。左押腰。被甲冑著白青色衣。鬢髮紺色。

摧伏毒害善神 鬢聳立弭也。赤肉色。右手持大刀。左手向外當胸。被甲冑著白色衣服余如常。

增益善神 赤肉色。四臂容怒鬼。右第一手持大刀。第二手把劍輪。左第一手持楊枝。第二手捧半月。著袈裟其色綠色。裳紅懸頸瓔珞。

歡喜善神 綠色。頂上有孔雀。其色金色。右手持一股鉤。左手押腰。被甲冑著赤衣。鬢髮丹色。面體忿怒也。

除一切障難善神 黃色。作瞋怒相。六臂被鮮白衣服。右手持三戟叉。次手持經典。次手捧舍利寶塔。左手持紅蓮華。次手持寶鉤。次手把寶螺。戴寶冠著袈裟。吹天衣風。瓔珞環釧如常。

Mouth open, displaying an angry countenance. Adorned with armor and wearing red clothing. Right hand holds a large sword, left hand holds a spear. Hair is purple. Virudhaka Deva: Reddish-purple in color. Angry countenance, lips closed. Right hand holds a vajra, left hand presses against the hip. Adorned with armor and wearing white-blue clothing. Sideburns are dark blue. Subduing Harmful Poisons Deva: Sideburns stand erect. Reddish-flesh color. Right hand holds a large sword, left hand faces outward, placed in front of the chest. Adorned with armor and wearing white clothing, the rest as usual. Increasing Benefit Deva: Reddish-flesh color. Four arms, with an angry appearance. Blowing celestial garments, necklaces, bracelets, and armlets are as usual. Eradicating Sins and Defilements Deva: Naked, wearing a reddish-green kasaya. Hair stands erect. Reddish-yellow appearance. Right hand holds a staff, the staff has five prongs. Left hand makes a fist, placed on the top of the head. Angry eyes open, sharp teeth protrude from the upper and lower jaws. Very terrifying. Vaiśravaṇa (Guardian deity, also often refers to the Heavenly King of the North among the Four Heavenly Kings) Good Deity: Bluish-black. Appears with an angry king-like appearance. With lips tightly closed. The right hand holds a vajra club, and the left hand holds a Sarira pagoda of the whole body. Wearing armor and red clothes, the sideburns are purple.

Virūpākṣa (Guardian deity, also often refers to the Heavenly King of the West among the Four Heavenly Kings) Good Deity: Flesh-colored. Hanging black silk ribbons on the arms, making a gesture of writing with a pen. Wearing armor and green clothes, the sideburns are red, with a smiling face.

The Deity Who Removes All Fear: The figure is like Indra (the lord of the gods in Buddhism), but there is a skull on the top of the head, and there is a three-pronged shape on the skull.

The Good Deity Who Saves and Protects All: Bluish-white. The appearance is like Vaiśravaṇa (Heavenly King of the North). The left and right hands are clasped together, and the tips of the ten fingers have a slight red spread, like a lotus flower. The clothes are reddish-yellow.

The Good Deity Who Subdues All Demons: The hair is standing on end. Black flesh color. The appearance is decorated with necklaces. The right hand holds a sword, and the left hand is palm down and facing outward. The clothes are yellow.

The Good Deity Who Can Save All Beings: White-green face, like jade. The two hands are empty-hearted and clasped together, bending the two index fingers and attaching them to the first segment of the back of the middle finger. A white kasaya is draped over the helmet, and the lower garment is red.

The Lion-like Fierce Good Deity: Flesh-colored, wearing a lion treasure crown. The first right hand holds an axe, and the second hand holds a sword. The first left hand holds a Sanskrit scripture, and the second hand holds a trident. Wearing a kasaya, its color is dark blue. Wearing a small tiger skin garment, extremely fierce and angry.

The Courageous and Kind Good Deity: Wearing green armor, like the Good Deity Who Can Save All Beings. The two hands are crossed outwards in front of the chest, with a smiling face (the above is the one standing on the left).

Ben Ao Yun: In addition, the third volume of the Dhāraṇī Collection Sutra says the names and general mantra of the Sixteen Good Deities. Also, like the lawyer of the self-pagoda courtyard who was inspired by a dream by the monk Kong (above).

知非是金剛智筆語。綴文甚拙。想先達依金剛智圖畫錄之。而假金智名矣。不自揣之甚。今謂于翻譯席設譯語筆授證義綴文等職。翻梵為漢。必不譯主之一手。而有再治有未治。唯以義通為其長。豈以文飾為。今歲得一本于智積院方丈。挍小池坊藏本而印行。時享和二壬戌年仲夏月。

【English Translation】 English version: Zhi Fei (author's name) compiled this based on the notes of Vajrabodhi (an eminent Indian esoteric Buddhist monk). The writing is quite rough. I suspect that the predecessors relied on Vajrabodhi's pictorial records and then borrowed Vajrabodhi's name. This is really overestimating oneself. Now, the translation institutions have positions such as translator, scribe, certifier, and compiler. Translating Sanskrit into Chinese is definitely not the work of the chief translator alone, but involves multiple revisions, and some parts may not have been completely organized. We only aim for the meaning to be clear, not for literary embellishment. This year, I obtained a version from the abbot of Chishaku-in Temple, which was collated with the version stored in Koike-bo and printed and published.
