沙門法成於甘州修多寺譯

The Dhāraṇī Sutra of the Stars' Mothers
Translated by Śramaṇa Dharmasiddhi at Sutara Temple in Ganzhou
Thus have I heard. At one time, the Bhagavan (世尊) was dwelling in a large settlement in a wilderness. The devas (諸天), nagas (龍), yakshas (藥叉), rakshasas (羅剎), gandharvas (乾闥婆), asuras (阿修羅), garudas (迦樓羅), kinnaras (緊那羅), mahoragas (莫呼落迦), and various demons; the planets Sun, Moon, Mars, Venus, Saturn, the remaining stars, Jupiter, Rāhu (羅睺), Ketu (長尾星神), the twenty-eight constellations, and all the great assemblies, were all praising the vows of the great Vajras. With majesty and adornment, he was seated on a lion throne, together with the bodhisattvas. Their names were Vajrapani Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (金剛手菩薩摩訶薩), Vajrakrodha Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (金剛忿怒菩薩摩訶薩), Vajradhātu Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (金剛部菩薩摩訶薩), Vajradhanu Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (金剛弓菩薩摩訶薩), Vajranatha Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (金剛主菩薩摩訶薩), Vajralankara Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (金剛莊嚴菩薩摩訶薩), Vajraprabha Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (金剛光菩薩摩訶薩), Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (觀自在菩薩摩訶薩), Samantadarśana Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (普見菩薩摩訶薩), Lokanatha Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (世間吉祥菩薩摩訶薩), Padmadhvaja Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (蓮華幢菩薩摩訶薩), Vipulavaktra Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (廣面菩薩摩訶薩), Puspanetra Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (華眼菩薩摩訶薩), Manjushri Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (妙吉祥菩薩摩訶薩), Maitreya Bodhisattva Mahāsattva (慈氏菩薩摩訶薩), and other great bodhisattvas, surrounded and revered by the sangha, listening to the Dharma. The Dharma was named 'Greatly Adorned Wish-Fulfilling Jewel,' good in the beginning, middle, and end, with beautiful and pure meaning, unmixed, pure, and white, a practice of Brahman.
At that time, Vajrapani Bodhisattva, observing the assembly, arose from his seat. With his own divine power, he circumambulated the World-Honored One hundreds of thousands of times. He paid homage and stood before him, self-possessed and upright. With a well-seated lotus posture, he gazed upon the assembly. Placing his vajra palm upon his heart, he said to the Buddha: 'World-Honored One, there are evil stars, with extremely evil forms and fierce minds. Their forms are wrathful, disturbing sentient beings. They seize their essence, or steal their wealth, or take their lives. They cause long-lived beings to become short-lived. Thus, they disturb all sentient beings. For these reasons, I beseech the World-Honored One to reveal a Dharma method to protect all sentient beings.' The World-Honored One said
曰。善哉善哉。汝興大悲為利一切諸有情故。問于如來甚深密義。汝今諦聽善思念之。我當說其惡星瞋怒破壞之法。及說供養行施唸誦秘密之義。
若行供養當供養 若作其惡當作惡 如是諸星刑色等 云何而令生歡喜 諸天及與諸非天 緊那羅等及諸龍 諸藥叉等並羅剎 人及迦多富多那 猛利威德諸大神 瞋怒云何而殄滅 秘密言辭供養法 今當次第而宣說
爾時釋迦如來從自心上而放慈心遊戲光明。入于諸星頂髻足中。尋時日月一切星神從座而起。以諸天供即以供養釋迦如來。膝輪著地合掌作禮而白佛言。世尊如來應供正真等覺利益我等。唯愿世尊宣說法門。令於我等而聚集已守衛防護說法之師。令得吉慶遠離刀杖消滅毒藥作結界。
爾時釋迦如來即便為說供養星法及以密言陀羅尼曰。
唵謨呼羅迦耶莎訶 唵尸儅奢蔽莎訶
唵落落當伽俱么啰也莎訶 唵報䫂也報䫂也莎訶 唵報伽阿悉婆䫂世莎訶 唵訶須啰薩多麼也莎訶 唵吃哩悉囊簸啰那也莎訶 唵阿蜜多畢哩耶莎訶 唵藉底羯多蔽莎訶
金剛手。此則是彼八星秘密心咒。讀便成辦。當作十二指一色香壇中安供養。或瓦或銅金銀等器奉獻供養。一一供養當誦一百八遍。金剛手。然後誦此諸星

當時，釋迦如來從自己的心上放出慈悲的光明，進入到諸星的頂髻和足中。隨即，日月一切星神從座位上起身，用諸天的供品來供養釋迦如來。雙膝著地，合掌作禮，對佛說：『世尊，如來應供、正真等覺，利益我們。唯愿世尊宣說佛法，讓我們聚集在一起，守衛和防護說法之師，令他們得到吉祥，遠離刀杖，消滅毒藥，作結界。』
當時，釋迦如來就為他們說了供養星辰的方法以及秘密的真言陀羅尼，如下：

【English Translation】 English version: The Buddha said, 'Excellent! Excellent! You have aroused great compassion for the benefit of all sentient beings, and you ask the Tathagata about the profound and secret meaning of the Dharma. Now listen carefully and contemplate well. I will explain the methods for destroying the anger and harm caused by evil stars, as well as the secret meanings of making offerings, practicing generosity, and reciting mantras.'
'If making offerings, how should one offer? If evil stars cause harm, how will they do so? How can we make these stars, with their punishments and colors, etc., happy? How can we extinguish the anger of the devas (gods), asuras (non-gods), kinnaras (celestial musicians), nagas (dragons), yakshas (nature spirits), rakshasas (demons), humans, kataputanas (a type of demon), and the mighty and powerful great spirits? Now, I shall explain the secret words and methods of offering in order.'
At that time, Shakyamuni Tathagata emitted light of loving-kindness from his heart and entered into the crowns and feet of all the stars. Immediately, the sun, the moon, and all the star deities arose from their seats and offered the celestial offerings to Shakyamuni Tathagata. Kneeling on the ground, with palms joined in reverence, they said to the Buddha, 'World Honored One, Tathagata, worthy of offerings, perfectly enlightened, benefits us. May the World Honored One expound the Dharma, so that we may gather together to guard and protect the teachers of the Dharma, so that they may obtain auspiciousness, be free from swords and staffs, eliminate poisons, and create boundaries.'
At that time, Shakyamuni Tathagata then spoke to them about the method of offering to the stars and the secret mantra dharani, which is as follows:
'Om Muhula Kayah Svaha (Om Muhula Kayah Svaha) Om Sitam Sabhi Svaha (Om Sitam Sabhi Svaha)'
'Om Lolo Dangga Kumaraya Svaha (Om Lolo Dangga Kumaraya Svaha) Om Bobhya Bobhya Svaha (Om Bobhya Bobhya Svaha) Om Bhoga Asibobhye Svaha (Om Bhoga Asibobhye Svaha) Om Hasura Satamaya Svaha (Om Hasura Satamaya Svaha) Om Khiri Sinang Paranaya Svaha (Om Khiri Sinang Paranaya Svaha) Om Amrita Piriyaya Svaha (Om Amrita Piriyaya Svaha) Om Jati Katabhyah Svaha (Om Jati Katabhyah Svaha)'
Vajrapani (Vajrapani), these are the secret heart mantras of the eight stars. Reciting them will bring accomplishment. One should make a fragrant altar of twelve fingers wide, with a uniform color, and place offerings within it. Or, one should offer with vessels of earthenware, or of copper, gold, or silver. Each offering should be recited one hundred and eight times. Vajrapani (Vajrapani), then recite these stars.
母陀羅尼秘密言辭滿足七遍。一切諸星而作守護。所有貧窮悉得解脫。命將欲盡而得長壽。金剛手。若苾芻苾芻尼烏波索迦烏波斯迦及余有情之類。若歷耳根而不中夭。金剛手。諸星壇中設供養已每日而讀誦者。彼說法師一切諸星如彼所愿悉令滿足。與彼同類貧匱諸事皆得消滅。
爾時釋迦如來即便為說諸星母陀羅尼。即說咒曰。

【English Translation】 English version: Recite the secret mantra of the Mother Dharani seven times. All the stars will protect you. All poverty will be liberated. Those whose lives are about to end will gain longevity. Vajrapani (Guardian deity in Buddhism). If a bhiksu (Buddhist monk), bhiksuni (Buddhist nun), upasaka (male lay follower), upasika (female lay follower), and other sentient beings, if they hear this Dharani, they will not die prematurely.
