爾時世尊為末世眾生。宣說持明藏八大總持王經。令彼未來四眾之中諸修行人。為一切眾生而作利益。乃至求諸悉地而獲成就。

佛言若有行人。發勇猛心堅固不退。於此八大總持而修行者。先須清凈身心內外嚴潔。直至成就無令間斷。若暫間斷不獲成就。若欲持誦而修行者。每持誦時先須稱念。曩謨一切諸佛及法聖眾。如是歸命三寶已竟即虔心持誦。即說陀羅尼曰。

曩謨阿致嚩致曩致吒計姹啰計姹計烏嚕摩帝嚕嚕摩帝睹嚕呬隸彌隸薩哩嚩(二合)惹拏(二合)尾波那誐曩莫薩哩嚩(二合)三摩三沒馱曩悉殿睹滿怛啰(二合)波曩莎賀

此陀羅尼。乃是過去無量正等正覺二足世尊之所宣說。若欲修行于諸眾生。作息災增益及擁護者。先須持誦精熟。成先行已有大功力。然可為于眾生。此陀羅尼法可於中秋時作有大功力。若於是時作者持念易成。能除八大怖畏。若復眾生常持誦者。恒得擁護晝夜安樂。一切不祥悉皆遠離。福德增長無諸苦惱。或在王城或遇兵革。欲脫種種危難者。擇取吉晨于

爾時,世尊爲了末法時代的眾生,宣說了《持明藏八大總持王經》。爲了讓未來四眾弟子中的修行人,為一切眾生利益,乃至求得各種悉地(Siddhi,成就)而獲得成就。

佛說,若有修行人,發起勇猛之心,堅定不退轉,修持這八大總持,首先必須清凈身心,內外嚴謹潔凈,直至成就,不可中斷。如果暫時中斷,就不能獲得成就。如果想要持誦修行,每次持誦時,先要稱念:『曩謨(Namo)一切諸佛及法聖眾』,這樣歸命三寶完畢后,就虔誠地持誦。即說陀羅尼(Dharani)曰:

The Sutra of the Eight Great Dharani Kings from the Holding-Knowledge Treasury Spoken by the Buddha

Translated by the Tripitaka Master Shi Hu (Shihu), Grand Master of Dispersed Merit, Acting Vice Minister of the Court of Imperial Sacrifices, and Dharma Transmission Master, by Imperial Decree from the Western Heaven Translation Bureau.

At that time, the World Honored One, for the sake of sentient beings in the Dharma-ending Age, expounded the Sutra of the Eight Great Dharani Kings from the Holding-Knowledge Treasury. This was to enable practitioners among the fourfold assembly in the future to benefit all sentient beings and to attain various Siddhis (Siddhi, accomplishments).

The Buddha said, 'If there are practitioners who generate a courageous mind, firm and unretreating, and cultivate these Eight Great Dharanis, they must first purify their body and mind, be strict and clean both internally and externally, until they achieve accomplishment, without interruption. If they interrupt even temporarily, they will not attain accomplishment. If they wish to recite and practice, each time they recite, they must first recite: 『Namo (Namo) to all Buddhas and the Holy Assembly of the Dharma.』 Having thus taken refuge in the Three Jewels, they should then reverently recite. The Dharani is spoken as follows:'

『Namo (Namo) Achiva (Achiva) Chinna (chinna) Chata (chata) Ke (ke) Chara (chara) Ke (ke) Chata (chata) Ke (ke) Uru (uru) Mati (mati) Ruru (ruru) Mati (mati) Turu (turu) Hili (hili) Mili (mili) Sarva (Sarva, all) (compound) Jana (jana, people) (compound) Vipana (vipana) Gana (gana) Mo Sarva (Sarva, all) (compound) Samya (samya) Sambuddha (sambuddha) Siddhyantu (siddhyantu) Mantra (mantra, mantra) (compound) Pana (pana) Svaha (svaha)』

This Dharani was spoken by countless Perfectly and Fully Awakened Two-Footed World Honored Ones of the past. If one wishes to practice, to bring about the pacification of disasters, increase of benefits, and protection for sentient beings, one must first become proficient in reciting it, making it a preliminary practice, so that it has great power. Then one can serve sentient beings. This Dharani practice can be performed during the Mid-Autumn Festival, which has great power. If one practices and recites at this time, it is easy to achieve accomplishment and can eliminate the Eight Great Fears. If sentient beings constantly recite it, they will always be protected, enjoying peace and happiness day and night. All misfortunes will be far away, blessings will increase, and there will be no suffering. 日午時。持誦作法當得解脫。若被天龍鬼神種種持魅者。亦能解除。以持誦力至於枯樹。亦可能令再生花果。乃至令持誦之人。獲宿命通知無量生事。

復說陀羅尼曰。

普俱入嚩(二合)隸普俱入嚩(二合)隸三野替摩賀(引)薩滿多摩賀入嚩(二合)隸帝護計目計護計目計摩賀設䜝抳啰彌多野設細舍睹摩賀入嚩(二合)隸入嚩(二合)羅帝悉地蹉僧左摩啰抳拏莎賀

此陀羅尼。乃是行輪迴義成童子之所宣說。可於十月作持誦法。為諸眾生而作利益。當獲無量清凈果報復說陀羅尼曰。

酥那替(引)酥吠那那癡(去聲呼下同)烏那癡涅里(二合)癡婆惹你(引)馱末隸(引)蹉末曩致嚩致怛布(二合)嚕曩吒嚩吒你(引)那替伊迦拶啰冒地薩際拏啰珂悉地拶泥(去呼)呬䜝泥(同上)尾莎賀

此陀羅尼。乃是緣覺之所宣說。可於冬時求清凈處作持誦法。能擁護一切眾生。

復說陀羅尼曰。

多啰唧嚕嚕唧嚕吠嚕吠啰吒計呬隸彌隸帝隸始隸曩致嚩致俱曩致阿曩末帝摩曩末帝路(引)隸迦娑迦悉迦娑始羅(引)路(引)羅摩馱烏末野尼頗娑頗細(引)唵(引)尾婆嚩帝(引)莎賀

此陀羅尼。乃是俱胝羅漢之所宣說。能擁護一切眾生離諸怖畏。是法可於春時持誦。作

此陀羅尼,乃是行輪迴義成童子所宣說。可以在十月進行持誦,為眾生帶來利益,當獲得無量清凈的果報。再次宣說陀羅尼曰:

酥那替(引) 酥吠那 那癡(去聲呼下同) 烏那癡 涅里(二合)癡 婆惹你(引) 馱末隸(引) 蹉末曩 致嚩致 怛布(二合)嚕 曩吒 嚩吒你(引) 那替 伊迦 拶啰 冒地薩際 拏啰 珂悉地 拶泥(去呼) 呬䜝泥(同上) 尾 莎賀

此陀羅尼,乃是緣覺所宣說。可以在冬季尋找清凈之處進行持誦,能夠擁護一切眾生。

再次宣說陀羅尼曰:

多啰 唧嚕 嚕唧嚕 吠嚕 吠啰吒 計呬隸 彌隸 帝隸 始隸 曩致 嚩致 俱曩致 阿曩末帝 摩曩末帝 路(引)隸 迦娑迦 悉迦娑 始羅(引) 路(引) 羅摩馱 烏末野 尼頗娑 頗細(引) 唵(引) 尾婆嚩帝(引) 莎賀

此陀羅尼,乃是俱胝(koti,意為億)羅漢所宣說。能夠擁護一切眾生,遠離各種怖畏。此法可以在春季持誦,修行。

【English Translation】 English version At noon, reciting and practicing this method will lead to liberation. If one is bewitched by various entities such as nagas (heavenly dragons), devas (gods), or spirits, it can also be dispelled. Through the power of recitation, even a withered tree can be made to bloom and bear fruit again, and even enable the reciter to attain knowledge of past lives, knowing about countless existences.

Again, the dharani is spoken:

Pūjā jvalī pūjā jvalī samaya te mahā sarva-tathāgata mahā jvalī te hūṃ ke mu ke hūṃ ke mu ke mahā śaṃkhinī rāmi tāya śaśi śāstu mahā jvalī jvala te siddhi kṣa saṃgha samaraṇi nā svāhā

This dharani was spoken by the Youth of Accomplishment in the Meaning of Reincarnation. It can be recited and practiced in the tenth month to benefit all beings, and one will obtain immeasurable pure rewards. Again, the dharani is spoken:

Su-nā te su-ve nā nāci u-nāci nir-ici bharaṇi dhāmale kṣama nāci vāci tat-puru nāṭa vāṭani nā te eka-kṣara bodhi-sattva nāra rakṣa siddhi caṇḍi hiṃḍi vi svāhā

This dharani was spoken by a Pratyekabuddha (Solitary Buddha). It can be recited and practiced in a pure place during winter, and it can protect all beings.

Again, the dharani is spoken:

Tara ciru ruru ciru veru veraṭa ke hili mili tili śili nāci vāci kuru nāci āna-mate māna-mate lūle ka-saka si-ka-sa śira lūla rāma-dhā u-maya ni-phasa phasi oṃ vi-bhāva te svāhā

This dharani was spoken by kotis (hundreds of millions) of Arhats (worthy ones). It can protect all beings from all fears. This dharma can be recited and practiced in the spring.


息災增益定獲成就。若依法無失功行不退。可得隱身無人能見。

復說心陀羅尼曰。

唵(引)按多捺嚩(二合)彌尾婆嚩酥莎賀

此心明以所求事。複稱名誦九洛叉所求必遂。至數滿時備種種香華燃燈。供養佛法僧菩薩緣覺聲聞等。若乞食者當持缽北行。至於聚落可次第行乞。以七家為限不得驀越而彼七家所施之後福及七族所供養華可求迦羅尾羅華。及龍華等而為最上。

復說陀羅尼曰。

娑嚩你娑嚩你娑嚩曩目契嚕半彌僧呬(引)摩賀迦波禰(引)唵(引)唧(引)隸彌隸唵(引)迦伊底尾你虞賀𤚥(引)蹉曩野莎賀

此陀羅尼乃是預流之所宣說。是法可於夏時持誦以求成就。作法之處當求尸林。或兩河間或橋上建立持誦若為他人作擁護者。先求清凈童女合線貫珠。誦一洛叉所求成就。或取自身左肋上血。揾白蓮華護摩。誦八百遍所求皆得。或以黑貓兒死豬死人等左眼睛。同研和合並三金同爲丸。用娑羅樹汁同服。所求必得成就。

復說陀羅尼曰。

阿迦細(引)迦細(引)曩迦細(引)誐拏迦羅細(引)缽啰(二合)拏那旦缽啰(二合)拏那嚩怛嚩(二合)唵(引)尾馱摩賀(引)尾馱細(引)那閉多那閉嚕嚕弭呬唧隸彌隸阿𡁠多𡁠拏哩野彌睹野曩謨薩哩嚩

【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本 息災增益必定獲得成就。如果依法修行沒有缺失,功行就不會退轉,可以得到隱身的能力,沒有人能夠看見。

再次宣說心陀羅尼,如下:

唵(引) 按多捺嚩(二合) 彌尾婆嚩 酥莎賀

持誦此心明時,針對所求之事,重複稱念其名,誦滿九十萬遍,所求必定如願。達到次數后,準備各種香、花,點燃燈火,供養佛、法、僧、菩薩、緣覺、聲聞等。如果想要乞食,應當手持缽盂向北方行走,到達村落後可以依次乞食,以七家為限,不得跳過。這七家所施捨的食物,會給他們的家族帶來福報。所供養的花,可以尋找迦羅尾羅華(karavīra,夾竹桃),以及龍華等,這些都是最上等的。

再次宣說陀羅尼,如下:

娑嚩 你娑嚩 你娑嚩 曩目契 嚕半 彌僧呬(引) 摩賀迦波禰(引) 唵(引) 唧(引) 隸彌隸 唵(引) 迦伊底 尾你虞賀 𤚥(引) 蹉曩野 莎賀

此陀羅尼乃是預流(srota-āpanna,須陀洹)之人所宣說。此法可以在夏季持誦以求成就。作法之處應當選擇尸林(śivavana,墳場),或者兩條河流之間,或者橋上建立。如果為他人作擁護,先尋找清凈的童女,用她們搓的線貫穿成珠。誦滿十萬遍,所求就能成就。或者取自身左肋上的血,塗抹在白蓮花上進行護摩(homa,火供),誦八百遍,所求都能得到。或者用黑貓、死豬、死人等的左眼睛,一同研磨混合,並與三金(金、銀、銅)一同製成丸。用娑羅樹(śāla,娑羅雙樹)的汁液一同服用,所求必定能夠得到成就。

再次宣說陀羅尼,如下:

阿迦細(引) 迦細(引) 曩迦細(引) 誐拏迦羅細(引) 缽啰(二合)拏那旦 缽啰(二合)拏那嚩 怛嚩(二合) 唵(引) 尾馱 摩賀(引) 尾馱 細(引) 那閉多 那閉 嚕嚕 弭呬 唧隸 彌隸 阿𡁠多 𡁠拏哩野 彌睹野 曩謨 薩哩嚩

【English Translation】 English version The pacification of calamities and the increase of benefits will surely be achieved. If one practices according to the Dharma without fault, one's meritorious conduct will not regress, and one can obtain the ability to become invisible, and no one will be able to see.

Again, the Heart Dharani is spoken, as follows:

Om(引) Anta Nadva(二合) Mivibhava Suvaha

When reciting this Heart Mantra, repeat the name of the matter sought. Recite it nine hundred thousand times, and the request will surely be fulfilled. When the number is reached, prepare various incenses and flowers, and light lamps to make offerings to the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, Bodhisattvas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Sravakas. If one wishes to beg for food, one should hold a bowl and walk north. Upon reaching a village, one can beg in order, limited to seven houses, and one must not skip any. The food given by these seven houses will bring blessings to their families. For the flowers offered, one can seek karavīra flowers (夾竹桃), and dragon flowers, etc., which are the most superior.

Again, the Dharani is spoken, as follows:

Svaha Ni Svaha Ni Svaha Namukhe Rupam Misengqi(引) Maha Kapani(引) Om(引) Ji(引) Li Mi Li Om(引) Ga Yidi Vi Ni Yu He Hum(引) Cha Naye Svaha

This Dharani was proclaimed by a Stream-enterer (srota-āpanna). This Dharma can be recited in the summer to seek accomplishment. The place for practice should be a charnel ground (śivavana), or between two rivers, or established on a bridge. If one is making protection for others, first seek pure virgins and string beads with thread spun by them. Recite one hundred thousand times, and the request will be fulfilled. Or take blood from one's own left rib, smear it on a white lotus flower, and perform homa (fire offering), reciting eight hundred times, and all requests will be obtained. Or take the left eyes of a black cat, a dead pig, and a dead person, grind them together, and combine them with three metals (gold, silver, and copper) to make a pill. Take it with the juice of the sala tree (śāla), and the request will surely be accomplished.

Again, the Dharani is spoken, as follows:

Aka Si(引) Ka Si(引) Na Ka Si(引) Ga Na Ka La Si(引) Bo La(二合) Na Na Dan Bo La(二合) Na Na Wa Da Wa(二合) Om(引) Wei Tuo Mo He(引) Wei Tuo Xi(引) Na Bi Duo Na Bi Lu Lu Mi Xi Ji Li Mi Li A Hong Duo Hong Na Li Ye Mi Du Ye Na Mo Sa Li Wa


(二合)沒馱三沒地三婆嚩(二合)喃莎賀

此陀羅尼。乃是無能勝菩薩之所宣說。若有志心持誦經其一年。必獲色力殊勝吉祥安樂。具足功德名稱遠聞。

復說陀羅尼曰。

曩謨啰旦曩(二合)怛啰(二合)夜野曩謨娜誐彌鼻曩謨啰俱舍嚩哩曳(二合)曩謨馱睹毗藥(二合)迦(引)曳(引)曳(引)阿曩閉尾惹你(引)具具烏沒馱(二合)佉誐作羯啰(二合)莎賀

此陀羅尼。乃是阿那含之所宣說。能救一切病苦。若有患者行人執其手誦此。加持乳汁令服及令洗身。設臨命終亦可除差。或咒摩曩尸羅藥。安病人耳中亦得除差。若有行人成先行已欲求悉地者。或執數珠或輪。但依法持誦。行人設使無福。以法力故亦獲成就。

復說陀羅尼曰。

波散你(引)迦囉哩波散你(引)摩迦(引)里波散你(引)摩迦(引)里波散你(引)多迦(引)里多迦(引)里波散你(引)摩里迦(引)里波散你(引)嚕囉哩波散你(引)波散曩迦(引)里帝曩謨阿左哩野(二合)波(引)那(引)喃(引)唵(引)波散你(引)酥路(引)彌計莎賀

此陀羅尼,乃是阿那含(Anāgāmin,不還果)之所宣說,能救一切病苦。若有患者行人執其手誦此,加持乳汁令服及令洗身,設臨命終亦可除差。或咒摩曩尸羅藥,安病人耳中亦得除差。若有行人成先行已欲求悉地(siddhi,成就)者,或執數珠或輪,但依法持誦,行人設使無福,以法力故亦獲成就。

復說陀羅尼曰:

波散你(引)迦囉哩 波散你(引)摩迦(引)里 波散你(引)摩迦(引)里 波散你(引)多迦(引)里 多迦(引)里 波散你(引)摩里迦(引)里 波散你(引)嚕囉哩 波散你(引)波散曩迦(引)里 帝 曩謨阿左哩野(二合)波(引)那(引)喃(引) 唵(引)波散你(引)酥路(引)彌計 莎賀

此陀羅尼我于往昔為菩薩時,名妙意持明天,於四足中現身,說此陀羅尼而作利益。若有志心受持者所愿具足,若有眾生造眾惡業當墮畜生者

【English Translation】 English version Maitri-samādhi-sambhava (Buddha-samādhi-sambhava) namah svāhā.

This dhāraṇī is proclaimed by the Invincible Bodhisattva. If one sincerely recites it for a year, one will surely obtain outstanding physical strength, auspiciousness, peace, and happiness, possess complete merit, and have a reputation that spreads far and wide.

Again, the dhāraṇī is spoken:

Namo ratna-trayāya namo nāga-mibhyaḥ namo rakṣa-varīye namo dhātu-bhyah kāye kāye ā-nāpe vi-jñāni gu-gu udbhavam khaga chakra svāhā.

This dhāraṇī is proclaimed by the Anāgāmin (non-returner), and it can save from all suffering of illness. If there is a patient, the practitioner holds their hand and recites this, blesses milk and gives it to them to drink and to wash their body with, even if they are near death, it can be cured. Or, chant over manahsila medicine and place it in the patient's ear, and they will also be cured. If there is a practitioner who has completed the preliminary practices and desires to seek siddhi (accomplishment), whether holding a rosary or a wheel, just recite according to the Dharma. Even if the practitioner has no merit, by the power of the Dharma, they will also obtain accomplishment.

Again, the dhāraṇī is spoken:

Pasanī karari pasanī makari pasanī makari pasanī takari takari pasanī marikari pasanī rurari pasanī pasanā kari te namo ācārya pāda-nām om pasanī suru miki svāhā.

This dhāraṇī, when I was a Bodhisattva in the past, my name was Wonderful Intent Holder of the Bright Sky, I appeared in a four-footed form and spoke this dhāraṇī to bring benefit. If there are those who sincerely receive and uphold it, their wishes will be fulfilled. If there are sentient beings who create many evil karmas and are about to fall into the animal realm,


。以此陀羅尼威德力故。除滅先罪定生人天。此陀羅尼能成就種種事業。若復有人慾求成就種種事業者。當須修先行法。得圓滿已。然後將所求成就物。于大持明王前。或日三時或六時持誦。每一時誦千遍為限。不得虧闕直至悉地得悉地已所作圓滿。

若人慾降冤家者。當面南坐。手畫冤家頭面。手按咒之冤自降伏。若人一日三時恒持誦者。得一切人欽伏。若人面向南。以烏麻作護摩者心所求事一一皆得。若以缽置地手按加持之必獲多施。又若加持酥食之。永不患瘧及常輕安。又若女人無乳。加持酥及鹽食之有乳。又若女人無子。加持栴檀華為粖。一日三時點額。或以藥系項或繫手臂定生福子。又若女人惡性者。夫誦加持之即性改柔善。又若夫惡性者。妻誦加持之和栴檀華粖令食。即相欽重。又若人渡水至中流深處。身力疲乏慮其沉沒。心若憶念即得淺處。或加持枯樹再生華葉。若加持枯池即水自彌滿。

復說陀羅尼曰。

娑(引)帝(引)阿迦致尾迦致補(補紺切)啰尼(二合)阿(引)誐帝(引)娑摩(引)呬帝(引)悉地娑三帝(引)三波那(引)𧹞曩謨(引)娑睹(二合)阿左里阿𧹞

此陀羅尼我于往昔。為極怒持明王時之所宣說。若人常受持者。當獲吉祥勝事。若人持誦成先行已

【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本: 憑藉此陀羅尼(Dharani)的威德力量,可以消除過去的罪業,註定往生人道或天道。此陀羅尼能夠成就各種事業。如果有人想要成就各種事業,應當首先修習前行法。得到圓滿之後,然後將所求成就之物,在大持明王(Mahavidyaraja)前,或者一天三次,或者一天六次持誦。每一次以誦一千遍為限,不得缺少,直到成就悉地(Siddhi),得到悉地后所作之事都能圓滿。

如果有人想要降伏冤家,應當面向南方坐,用手畫出冤家的頭面,用手按住並持咒,冤家自然降伏。如果有人一日三次恒常持誦此咒,能得到一切人的欽佩順服。如果有人面向南方,用烏麻(黑芝麻)作護摩(Homa,火供),心中所求之事都能一一得到。如果將缽放置在地上,用手按住並加持,必定獲得很多佈施。如果加持酥油食用,永遠不會患瘧疾,並且常常感到輕鬆安樂。如果婦女沒有乳汁,加持酥油和鹽食用,就會有乳汁。如果婦女沒有孩子,加持栴檀花(Sandalwood flower)磨成的粉末,一天三次點在額頭上,或者用藥繫在脖子上或手臂上,必定生下有福德的兒子。如果婦女性格兇惡,丈夫誦咒加持,她的性格就會改變,變得溫柔善良。如果丈夫性格兇惡,妻子誦咒加持,並和著栴檀花粉末讓他食用,夫妻就會互相敬重。如果有人渡水,到了水流深處,身體疲乏,擔心會沉沒,心中如果憶念此咒,就能到達淺水處。或者加持枯樹,使其重新生長出花葉。如果加持乾枯的池塘,水就會自然充滿。

再次宣說陀羅尼曰:

娑(引)帝(引)阿迦致尾迦致補(補紺切)啰尼(二合)阿(引)誐帝(引)娑摩(引)呬帝(引)悉地娑三帝(引)三波那(引)𧹞曩謨(引)娑睹(二合)阿左里阿𧹞

此陀羅尼是我在往昔,作為極怒持明王(Ugra-vidyaraja)時所宣說的。如果有人常常受持此咒,將會獲得吉祥殊勝之事。如果有人持誦此咒成就前行法之後。

【English Translation】 English version: By the majestic power of this Dharani, one can eliminate past sins and be destined to be reborn in the realms of humans or gods. This Dharani can accomplish various endeavors. If someone desires to achieve various undertakings, they should first practice the preliminary practices. After attaining perfection, they should then, in front of the great Vidyaraja (Mahavidyaraja), with the object they wish to accomplish, recite the mantra either three times a day or six times a day. Each time, recite it a thousand times as the limit, without any deficiency, until Siddhi (Siddhi) is attained. Once Siddhi is attained, all endeavors will be fulfilled.

If someone wishes to subdue an enemy, they should sit facing south, draw the head and face of the enemy with their hand, press down with their hand and chant the mantra, and the enemy will naturally be subdued. If someone constantly recites this mantra three times a day, they will be revered and obeyed by everyone. If someone faces south and performs Homa (Homa, fire offering) with sesame seeds, all their heart's desires will be fulfilled one by one. If a bowl is placed on the ground, pressed down with the hand, and blessed, one will surely receive many offerings. Furthermore, if ghee is blessed and eaten, one will never suffer from malaria and will always feel light and peaceful. Also, if a woman has no milk, bless ghee and salt and have her eat it, and she will have milk. Also, if a woman has no children, bless sandalwood flower powder and have her apply it to her forehead three times a day, or tie medicine around her neck or arm, and she will surely give birth to a blessed son. Also, if a woman has a bad temper, the husband should chant the mantra and bless her, and her temper will change, becoming gentle and kind. Also, if a husband has a bad temper, the wife should chant the mantra and bless him, and mix sandalwood flower powder for him to eat, and they will respect each other. Also, if someone is crossing water and reaches a deep place, their body becomes tired, and they fear they will sink, if they remember this mantra in their heart, they will reach a shallow place. Or bless a withered tree, and it will grow flowers and leaves again. If a dried-up pond is blessed, water will naturally fill it.

This Dharani was spoken by me in the past when I was the Ugra-vidyaraja (Ugra-vidyaraja). If someone constantly upholds this mantra, they will obtain auspicious and excellent things. If someone recites this mantra and accomplishes the preliminary practices.


取畢缽羅華尾孕(二合)摩果藏粖。後用酥蜜和然。加持乳汁同服。后持誦七晝夜得大聰明。若以虎及獯狐貓兒豬等。各取眼睛為粖。等分合和作丸。加持內于鼻中當得隱身。若以微苦根藥。與乳蜜同和。加持食之得顏貌不老。或於尸林或獨樹下或四衢道。如是之處不食持誦。若獲成就當得空中行住。亦可游于欲色天界。若得劍成就而為最上。若於海岸及大河岸。常食乳汁或肉汁。持誦十個月。日日相應身心不退。必獲海中河中異寶。若於山上有龍處。常食菉豆及酥持誦。得龍送珠金。若於憂曇缽樹下持誦。常乞食誦不間斷。至成就咒酥。須臾間成水。服之得解世間種種之法。若以土捏作師子加持。若得成就乘之可往天界。如是諸法一一修行。若求成就者。得先行圓滿已。依法複誦八千遍必獲悉地。

爾時世尊說是持明藏八大總持王已。告阿難言。此秘密法汝善受持。使于未來流傳不斷。令修行者與諸眾生作大利益。時彼阿難受佛教敕。歡喜踴躍作禮而退。

【English Translation】 English version: Take the powder of Bi-bo-luo-hua-wei-yun (a type of medicinal material) Mo-guo-zang-mo. Then mix it with ghee and honey. Bless the milk and take it together. After reciting for seven days and nights, you will gain great wisdom. If you take the eyes of tigers, Xun-hu (a type of canine), cats, pigs, etc., and make them into powder. Mix them in equal parts and make them into pills. After blessing them, put them in your nose, and you will gain the ability to become invisible. If you take a slightly bitter root medicine and mix it with milk and honey. After blessing it, eat it, and your appearance will not age. Or in a corpse forest, under a solitary tree, or at a crossroads. In such places, abstain from food and recite. If you attain accomplishment, you will gain the ability to walk and dwell in the air. You can also travel in the Desire Realm and Form Realm heavens. If you attain accomplishment with a sword, that is the highest. If you are on the seashore or on the bank of a large river. Constantly eat milk or meat broth. Recite for ten months. Day by day in accordance, your body and mind will not regress. You will surely obtain strange treasures in the sea and in the river. If you are in a place in the mountains where there are dragons. Constantly eat mung beans and ghee and recite. You will receive jewels and gold sent by the dragons. If you recite under the Udumbara tree (Ficus racemosa). Constantly beg for food and recite without interruption. Until you accomplish the mantra-ghee. In an instant, it turns into water. Taking it, you will understand all kinds of worldly dharmas. If you mold a lion out of clay and bless it. If you attain accomplishment, you can ride it to the heavens. Practice each of these methods one by one. If you are seeking accomplishment. After obtaining preliminary perfection. Recite it again eight thousand times according to the law, and you will surely obtain Siddhi (accomplishment).

At that time, after the World Honored One finished speaking about this Great Dharani King of the Eight Great Treasuries of Mantras. He told Ananda (one of the Buddha's ten great disciples). You must receive and maintain this secret dharma well. So that it will be passed down continuously in the future. Let practitioners and all sentient beings receive great benefits. At that time, Ananda received the Buddha's teachings. Rejoiced and leaped for joy, bowed and retreated.

The Sutra of the Great Dharani King of the Eight Great Treasuries of Mantras Spoken by the Buddha
