如是我聞。一時薄伽梵。在布怛洛迦山。為諸人天一切大眾演說法要。遍觀十方以妙音聲。告觀自在菩薩妙吉祥菩薩言。善男子有經名一切如來所護觀察眾生示現佛剎莊嚴王陀羅尼。我昔初發心時。于花光顯現如來所。與九十俱胝眾生。一聞此法皆得如來智慧之分咸蒙授記。于諸佛剎當得作佛。我亦于中蒙佛授記。善男子我以佛眼。觀見過去三萬如來。為諸眾生說此法要。汝觀自在及妙吉祥。于說法時皆為導首。

爾時世尊說是語已。現前大眾菩薩聲聞諸來聽者。咸發信心供養彼佛。於時無量百千俱胝那庾多眾生皆蒙授記。亦得菩薩勝妙等持。病苦悉除蓋纏消滅。所愿滿足善根成就。顏容端正財寶豐盈。國王大臣諸眾生類見者歡喜。念慧神通無不圓備。于佛法僧得不壞信。壽命色力有大威勢。無愛別離怨憎會苦。

若有善男子善女人等。能於此經五輪著地生希有心。以諸花香瓔鬘幡蓋恭敬供養。歸依贊嘆讀誦受持。

若自書寫若教人書。無量功德皆悉成就。見受持者生信敬心。亦于現身眾德具足。皆得菩薩勝妙等持。口中恒出

【English Translation】 English version The Buddha Speaks of the Dhāraṇī Sutra of the Adornment King

Thus have I heard. At one time, the Bhagavan (Bhagavan, the World-Honored One) was in Mount Potalaka (Potalaka, the Bodhisaattva Avalokiteśvara's abode), expounding the essential Dharma to all the assembled humans, devas, and great multitude. Surveying the ten directions, with a wondrous voice, he addressed the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara (Avalokiteśvara) and the Bodhisattva Mañjuśrī (Mañjuśrī), saying: 'Good men, there is a sutra named 'The Dhāraṇī of the Adornment King of the Buddha-field Manifested by the Observation of Sentient Beings, Protected by All Tathāgatas.' When I first generated the aspiration for enlightenment, at the place of the Tathāgata Flower Light Manifestation, along with ninety kotis (koti, ten million) of beings, upon hearing this Dharma once, all obtained a share of the Tathāgata's wisdom and received predictions that they would become Buddhas in various Buddha-fields. I also received a prediction from the Buddha there. Good men, with my Buddha-eye, I have seen thirty thousand Tathāgatas in the past expounding this essential Dharma for sentient beings. You, Avalokiteśvara and Mañjuśrī, were the leaders during the Dharma expositions.' Then, after the World-Honored One spoke these words, the assembled multitude of Bodhisattvas, Śrāvakas, and all those who came to listen, generated faith and made offerings to that Buddha. At that time, immeasurable hundreds of thousands of kotis and nayutas (nayuta, a unit of measurement) of beings all received predictions, and also obtained the Bodhisattva's supreme samādhi (samādhi, meditative absorption). Sickness and suffering were completely removed, obstructions were eliminated, wishes were fulfilled, roots of goodness were accomplished, appearances were dignified, wealth and treasures were abundant, and kings, ministers, and all sentient beings who saw them rejoiced. Mindfulness, wisdom, and supernatural powers were all perfectly complete, and they obtained indestructible faith in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. Their lifespans, appearances, and strength had great power, and they were free from the suffering of separation from loved ones and encountering those they hate. If there are good men or good women who can touch the ground with their five limbs with a rare and precious mind towards this sutra, and respectfully make offerings with flowers, incense, garlands, banners, and canopies, take refuge, praise, recite, and uphold it. If they personally transcribe it or encourage others to transcribe it, immeasurable merits will all be accomplished. Seeing those who uphold it, they will generate faith and respect, and in their present lives, they will be endowed with all virtues, and all will obtain the Bodhisattva's supreme samādhi, and from their mouths will constantly emanate...


栴檀香氣。其目皎凈如青蓮葉。于晝夜中見佛形像及大菩薩。若有五無間等業障之罪。悉皆消滅諸天衛護。命終之時得見諸佛菩薩心不錯亂。必得往生極樂國土。我與斯人授記作佛。彼見我身恭敬供養。于妙菩提心不疑惑。

若復有人於此法門。讀誦受持供養恭敬。若自書寫若教人書。及有得聞此經名者。當知此人即是菩薩應修供養。

若復此人由先惡業。財命色力內外所資悉皆短乏。所求不遂親愛別離。國土荒殘王賊衰難。由此經力現身輕受。或暫頭痛或得惡衣惡食。或遭罵詈及余毀辱。往諸業障即自消除。善男子彼持經之人應生此念。我昔流轉生死海中。于諸有情造作眾惡。不善之業日夜增長。今時覺了不敢覆藏。發露罪源誠心懺悔。于佛法僧起不壞信。

若復彼人。曾於佛法僧寶獨覺聲聞父母師長作諸惡業。衣食果報皆當散盡。由經力故此業咸除衣食充足。

若復彼人有捺洛迦受苦之業。愛別離苦生盲之苦。無根二根異熟之業亦皆消滅。

又復由先嫉妒瞋恚惡業之力。當墮琰摩王界傍生餓鬼諸惡趣中。由經力故所有惡業無不消滅。一切福德悉皆增長。

善男子若於方處有此法門。彼諸人等常為此經之所擁護。功德具足所求圓滿。恒受富樂惡業消除。亦無橫死及諸惡夢。無

有病苦鬥戰常勝壽命延長。色力具足有大威勢。一切世間人及天龍諸鬼神等皆隨意轉。不遭惡毒水火災橫。乃至由持神咒力故。常蒙諸佛之所授記。

若善男子善女人。得聞如是神咒受持讀誦。若自書若教人書恭敬供養。彼善男子善女人。皆獲如前所說功德。

爾時世尊說此語已。大地忽然六種震動。此諸大眾以妙花香。涂香鬘蓋勝妙衣服。奉上世尊同聲唱言。善哉善哉我等云何。得聞如來所說神咒。爾時世尊即說咒曰。

南謨薩婆呾他揭多喃(一)但侄他(二)勃睇(三)蘇勃睇(四)盧迦毗盧計(五)盧迦伐底羯讕帝(六)薩埵阿伐盧羯泥(去七)薩婆呾他揭多阿提瑟恥帝(八)薩婆阿奢缽唎晡唎泥(去九)聚丁達囇(十)捺羅提婆布侍帝(十一)呾他揭多慎若那達睇(十二)呾他揭多阿提瑟侘泥娜(十三)薩婆盧迦速企婆跋睹(十四)薩婆羯磨缽唎釵耶野(十五)么么阿木羯寫(自稱已名十六)薩婆薩埵難者(十七)曷洛叉婆跋睹(十八)呾他揭多阿提瑟侘泥娜(十九)莎訶(二十但是口邊作字者皆可彈舌道之)

善男子此之神咒。乃是三萬如來之所宣說共所加護。我今亦復說此神咒。為欲利益一切有情。令得安樂常作擁護。除其病苦生諸佛國。

若復有人作如是念。如佛所說

【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本: 能戰勝疾病的痛苦,永遠立於不敗之地,壽命得以延長,擁有強大的體魄和力量,具備巨大的威勢。一切世間的人、天龍以及各種鬼神,都會隨其意願而轉變。不會遭遇惡毒、水火等災難橫禍。乃至由於持有此神咒的力量,常常蒙受諸佛的授記。

如果善男子、善女人,能夠聽聞如此神咒,受持讀誦,或者親自書寫,或者教他人書寫,恭敬供養。那麼這些善男子、善女人,都將獲得如前所說的功德。

當時,世尊說完這些話后,大地忽然發生了六種震動。在場的大眾用美妙的花香、涂香、花鬘、寶蓋以及殊勝的衣服,供奉世尊,並同聲讚歎說:『太好了!太好了!我們如何才能聽聞如來所說的神咒呢?』當時,世尊就說了這個咒語:

善男子,這個神咒,是三萬如來所宣說,共同加持的。我現在也宣說這個神咒,爲了利益一切有情眾生,讓他們得到安樂,常常得到擁護,消除他們的病苦,往生到諸佛的國度。

如果有人這樣想,如佛所說

【English Translation】 English version: One can conquer the suffering of illness, always be victorious, and extend one's lifespan. Possessing a strong physique and strength, one will have great power. All beings in the world, including nagas, dragons, and various ghosts and spirits, will transform according to one's will. One will not encounter evil, water, fire, or other disasters. Furthermore, by holding the power of this mantra, one will often receive predictions from all Buddhas.

If a virtuous man or virtuous woman can hear this mantra, receive, uphold, and recite it, or personally write it down, or teach others to write it down, and respectfully make offerings, then these virtuous men and virtuous women will obtain the merits as described above.

At that time, after the World Honored One spoke these words, the earth suddenly shook in six ways. The assembly present offered the World Honored One with wonderful fragrant flowers, scented ointments, garlands, canopies, and excellent clothing, and chanted in unison: 'Excellent! Excellent! How can we hear the mantra spoken by the Tathagata?' At that time, the World Honored One spoke the mantra:

Namo Sarva Tathagatanam (Homage to all Tathagatas) Tadyatha (Thus it is) Buddhe (Awakened One) Su-buddhe (Well-awakened One) Loka Vilokite (Observer of the world) Loka-atikrante (Transcender of the world) Sattva Avalokani (Observer of beings) Sarva Tathagata Adhishthite (Empowered by all Tathagatas) Sarva Asha paripurni (Fulfiller of all wishes) Buddhim Dale (Wisdom that shatters) Naradeva Pujite (Worshipped by gods and humans) Tathagata Jnana-darsine (Knower of the wisdom of the Tathagatas) Tathagata Adhishthanena (By the power of the Tathagatas' blessing) Sarva Loka Sukhi Bhavantu (May all beings be happy) Sarva Karma Pari-kshayam (May all karmic obstacles be eliminated) Mama amukasya (For me, so-and-so) Sarva Sattvanam ca (And for all beings) Raksha Bhavantu (May protection be granted) Tathagata Adhishthanena (By the power of the Tathagatas' blessing) Svaha (So be it)

Virtuous man, this mantra is proclaimed and jointly blessed by thirty thousand Tathagatas. I now also proclaim this mantra for the benefit of all sentient beings, so that they may obtain peace and happiness, be constantly protected, eliminate their suffering from illness, and be reborn in the Buddha lands.

If someone thinks like this, as the Buddha said


神咒功德。我今云何而能成就。即于晨朝早起清凈。於一切有情興大慈悲發憐愍心。除諸嫉妒憍慢瞋恚。恭敬一心於佛像前。香花飲食廣興供養。禮十方佛心祈所愿。誦此神咒滿一百八遍。於一一遍各咒一花。以一一花供養于佛。此人即便隨所愿求。悉皆如意。亦于夢中得見諸佛。臨命終時睹佛菩薩。捨身之後必得往生極樂世界。壽命色力悉皆具足。一切怨仇並生歡喜。說此咒時六萬有情得無生法忍。永除諸障所愿滿足。

爾時世尊說此經已。觀自在菩薩妙吉祥菩薩。一切大眾聞佛所說歡喜奉行。

佛說莊嚴王陀羅尼咒經

【現代漢語翻譯】 現代漢語譯本:神咒的功德如何才能成就呢?應當在早晨清凈之時,對一切有情眾生興起大慈悲心,發起憐憫之心,去除各種嫉妒、傲慢和嗔恚。恭敬地一心在佛像前,用香、花、飲食等廣作供養,禮拜十方諸佛,心中祈求所愿。誦唸此神咒滿一百零八遍,每誦一遍就用咒語加持一朵鮮花,然後用這朵鮮花供養于佛。這樣的人就能隨心所愿,一切都如意。也會在夢中得見諸佛,臨命終時能見到佛和菩薩,捨棄肉身后必定能夠往生到極樂世界,壽命、容貌、力量都圓滿具足,一切怨家仇敵都會心生歡喜。世尊說這個咒語的時候,有六萬有情眾生證得無生法忍(Anutpattika-dharma-kshanti,對諸法不生不滅的體悟),永遠去除各種障礙,所發的願望都能滿足。

這時,世尊說完這部經,觀自在菩薩(Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva)、妙吉祥菩薩(Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva)以及所有大眾聽了佛所說,都歡喜地信受奉行。

《佛說莊嚴王陀羅尼咒經》

【English Translation】 English version: How can the merit of this divine mantra be accomplished? One should rise early in the morning, pure and clean, and generate great compassion and loving-kindness towards all sentient beings. Eliminate all jealousy, arrogance, and anger. With a respectful and focused mind, offer abundant offerings of incense, flowers, food, and drink before the Buddha's image. Pay homage to the Buddhas of the ten directions and pray for one's wishes in the heart. Recite this divine mantra one hundred and eight times, each time consecrating a flower with the mantra. Then, offer each flower to the Buddha. Such a person will have all their wishes fulfilled as desired. They will also see Buddhas in their dreams, and at the time of death, they will behold Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. After abandoning the body, they will surely be reborn in the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss (Sukhavati), with life, appearance, and strength all perfectly complete. All enemies and adversaries will rejoice. When this mantra was spoken, sixty thousand sentient beings attained the Anutpattika-dharma-kshanti (無生法忍,the patient acceptance of the non-arising of all dharmas), forever removing all obstacles and fulfilling all wishes.

At that time, after the World Honored One finished speaking this sutra, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva (觀自在菩薩), Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva (妙吉祥菩薩), and all the assembly, hearing what the Buddha had said, joyfully accepted and practiced it.
