(Shān yú xī pī bá tuó ní)
【English Translation】 English version Thus have I heard. At one time, the Buddha was traveling in the Rāmagṛha (Rajgir) country, among the parrot trees. At that time, there was a certain bhikkhu (monk) who, while traveling from the bamboo grove to Rāmagṛha, was bitten by a snake, possessed by a ghost, and robbed by thieves. Upon seeing the Buddha, he immediately went to where the Buddha was. At that time, the Xuan Shi Bátuó (Master Xuan Bátuó) accompanied the Buddha. Xuan Shi Bátuó then said to the Buddha, 'I have a very magical art, and now I want to use a mantra to help him.' The Buddha said, 'Stop, Bátuó. Do not let your mantra cause any harm.' Bátuó said to the Buddha, 'In the future, countries will attack each other, thieves will rob each other, the strong will be robbed in turn, ghosts and spirits will harass each other, and poisons will harm each other. If there are bhikkhus sitting in meditation under trees in the mountains, wearing five-patched robes, or sitting in the open, may the fourfold assembly (bhikkhus, bhikkhunis, upasakas, and upasikas) not be harmed, and may they all be safe and free from illness.'
Sēng shēn wèi ní, Yù zhē lí shǒu lì bá tí, Shān yú xī pī bá tuó ní.
Such a mantra can cut off disputes, cut off all delusions, and cut off all illnesses. These Yakṣas (spirits) will all be deluded by it. Xū mó tú, Mahā (Great) Yào shā nán, Mahā (Great) Yè chā fàn, Mó yào Mahā (Great) Yè chā, Yīn hē luó, Qí Mahā (Great) Yè chā hē qí pán mahā.
These Yakṣas (spirits) are honored among ghosts and spirits. My name is Yīn tōu. For those who want to be sick or want to harm others, I will make them unable to find anyone. Obscure your eyes, so that you cannot see anyone, and so that you cannot succeed. At that time, call out:
Come. Luó chí guǐshén mahā, Luó chí guǐshén come. Dōu lè, Mahā (Great) Dōu lè, Yīn chí dōu luó, Lái fàn, Mahā (Great) Dōu luó, Mahā fàn mó, Dōu luó, Lái yuè chā dōu luó, Hē duō, Dé.

【English Translation】 English version Dola, Shura-kusha (proper noun), Dola, Maha-shura-sha-dola (proper noun).
I vow that if someone is being sought by enemies because of theft, I will help them, shielding them so that the two parties cannot see each other. If someone is bound by ropes, bound by chains, or bound by mental confusion, if they take refuge in the Buddha, all will be liberated. Taking refuge in the Buddha, at this moment, Namo Buddha (Homage to Buddha) is most auspicious.
