如是我聞。一時世尊在日月天子宮。復有智光如來真實如來金光聚如來。甚深聲王如來忿怒如來寶月如來。及普賢菩薩摩訶薩妙吉祥菩薩摩訶薩。持地王菩薩摩訶薩金剛手菩薩摩訶薩。與如是等諸佛菩薩摩訶薩俱。
爾時世尊。與諸如來及菩薩摩訶薩等。于彼宮內勝幡樓閣中。各各于坐閻浮檀金寶莊嚴師子之座。巍巍堂堂由如金山威光晃然互相照耀。
爾時宮主日月天子。見是諸佛及大菩薩。威德熾盛超過諸天。生希有心歡喜踴躍。住立佛前內自思惟。今此諸佛及大菩薩。乃是一切眾生界燈。必能照破諸惡黑暗。云何令我復得陀羅尼變化智。生於十方如彼威德。當與一切眾生而作照明。是時如來及諸佛菩薩摩訶薩等。咸悉知彼宮主天子心之所念。

爾時,宮主日月天子,見是諸佛及大菩薩,威德熾盛,超過諸天,生希有心,歡喜踴躍。住立佛前,內自思惟:『今此諸佛及大菩薩,乃是一切眾生界燈,必能照破諸惡黑暗。云何令我復得陀羅尼變化智,生於十方,如彼威德,當與一切眾生而作照明?』是時,如來及諸佛菩薩摩訶薩等,咸悉知彼宮主天子心之所念。

The Sutra of the Dharani of Buddha智光(Zhiguang, Wisdom Light) for Eradicating All Karmic Obstacles, Spoken by the Buddha
Translated by the Tripitaka Master 施護(Shihu), Minister of the Honglu Temple, Great Master for Propagating the Dharma, under Imperial Decree, from the Western Regions.
Thus have I heard. At one time, the World Honored One was in the palace of the Sun and Moon Deva. There were also Buddha智光如來(Zhiguang Rulai, Wisdom Light Tathagata), Buddha真實如來(Zhenshi Rulai, True Tathagata), Buddha金光聚如來(Jinguang Ju Rulai, Golden Light Accumulation Tathagata), Buddha甚深聲王如來(Shensheng Shengwang Rulai, Profound Sound King Tathagata), Buddha忿怒如來(Fennu Rulai, Wrathful Tathagata), Buddha寶月如來(Baoyue Rulai, Treasure Moon Tathagata), and Bodhisattva Mahasattva普賢(Puxian, Samantabhadra), Bodhisattva Mahasattva妙吉祥(Miaojixiang, Manjushri), Bodhisattva Mahasattva持地王(Chidiwang, Earth Holder King), Bodhisattva Mahasattva金剛手(Jingangshou, Vajrapani), together with such Buddhas and Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas.
At that time, the World Honored One, together with the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas, in the victorious banner pavilion within that palace, each sat upon a lion throne adorned with Jambudvipa gold treasures. Majestic and dignified, like golden mountains, their awe-inspiring light shone brightly, illuminating each other.
At that time, the palace lord, the Sun and Moon Deva, seeing these Buddhas and great Bodhisattvas, whose majestic virtue was blazing and surpassing all the devas, conceived a rare mind, rejoicing and leaping with joy. Standing before the Buddha, he thought to himself, 'Now, these Buddhas and great Bodhisattvas are the lamps of all sentient beings, surely able to illuminate and break through all evil darkness. How can I also obtain the Dharani of transformative wisdom, arising in the ten directions, like their majestic virtue, and provide illumination for all sentient beings?' At that time, the Tathagata and all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas, all knew the thoughts in the mind of that palace lord, the Deva.
At that time, the World Honored One said to the palace lord, the Sun and Moon Deva, 'Deva, you should listen attentively, I will now speak for you the names of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and the Dharani.' At that time, the palace lord, the Sun and Moon Deva, received the teaching and listened. Then he spoke the names of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, saying: 'Namo Buddha智光如來(Zhiguang Rulai, Homage to Wisdom Light Tathagata), Namo Buddha真實如來(Zhenshi Rulai, Homage to True Tathagata). Namo Buddha金光聚如來(Jinguang Ju Rulai, Homage to Golden Light Accumulation Tathagata), Namo Buddha甚深聲王如來(Shensheng Shengwang Rulai, Homage to Profound Sound King Tathagata). 尊說是陀羅尼已。彼普賢菩薩摩訶薩。告宮主日月天子言。天子此陀羅尼乃是過去八十八俱胝諸佛同共宣說。如來大慈大悲。為欲擁護利益一切眾生今復宣說。天子此陀羅尼。微妙希有難值難聞。譬如優曇缽花希有難見。又如如來出現世間希有難值。此陀羅尼亦復如是。天子若佛滅后正法滅時。或有眾生造五逆罪。必當墮于阿鼻地獄。是人若得值遇此陀羅尼。能凈身心勇猛堅固。於二十一晝夜。晝三時夜三時。心心相續無令間斷。念此陀羅尼章句志心懺悔者。是人無間之業滅盡無餘。天子又復是人以此陀羅尼章句威德力故。可使阿鼻地獄破為百分。乃至無有遺余。復令是中罪業眾生亦得解脫。各各生於南閻浮提悉得人身復得聞知。此是諸佛菩薩。以陀羅尼功德之力救拔於我。何況持誦之人自身業耶。

【English Translation】 English version: After speaking this Dharani, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra addressed the palace lord, the Sun and Moon Deva, saying: 'Deva, this Dharani was jointly proclaimed by eighty-eight kotis (俱胝) of Buddhas in the past. The Tathagata (如來), with great compassion, now proclaims it again to protect and benefit all sentient beings. Deva, this Dharani is subtle, rare, and difficult to encounter and hear, like the Udumbara (優曇缽花) flower, which is rare to see, and like the Tathagata appearing in the world, which is rare to encounter. This Dharani is also like that. Deva, if after the Buddha's Parinirvana (滅度), when the True Dharma (正法) is declining, there are sentient beings who commit the five heinous crimes (五逆罪), they will surely fall into the Avici Hell (阿鼻地獄). If such a person encounters this Dharani, they can purify their body and mind, be courageous and steadfast, and for twenty-one days and nights, during the three periods of the day and the three periods of the night, with continuous mindfulness without interruption, recite this Dharani chapter with sincere repentance, then the karma of the uninterrupted hell will be completely extinguished without remainder. Deva, moreover, because of the majestic power of this Dharani chapter, it can cause the Avici Hell to be broken into a hundred pieces, even without any remainder, and also liberate the sentient beings with sinful karma within it, allowing each of them to be born in Jambudvipa (南閻浮提), all obtaining human bodies, and knowing that the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have rescued me with the power of the Dharani's merit. How much more so for the karma of those who uphold and recite it themselves?' At that time, the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra again said to the palace lord, the Sun and Moon Deva: 'Deva, I also, for the sake of benefiting and bringing peace and happiness to all sentient beings, will also speak a Dharani to protect those who uphold and recite this Dharani in the future, so that all humans and non-humans will not be able to disturb them.' They generated the Bodhi mind, vowed never to regress, rejoiced, and withdrew after paying their respects.
