【English Translation】 English version The Buddha Speaks of the Ratnasambhava Dharani Sutra

Translated by the Tripitaka Master Shihu, Grand Master of the Imperial Secretariat, Acting Vice Minister of the Court of State Ceremonial, and Dharma Transmission Master, under Imperial Decree from the Western Heaven.

Namo ratna-trayāya. Namo bhagavate ratnasambhavāya tathāgatāya arhate samyak-saṃbuddhāya. Tadyathā: ratne ratne mahā ratne ratna-kīrtte ratna-prabhāve ratna-saṃbhave ratna-nirdhāte ratna-dhātu-udgate svāhā.

If there are sentient beings who uphold and make offerings to the name of this Tathagata's Dharani, in each of their lives, they will attain the position of a Cakravarti (wheel-turning king), accomplish Brahmacarya (pure conduct), possess great supernatural powers, and obtain ten kinds of Dharani. They will encounter Buddhas and Tathagatas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River without fail. They will not enter the cycle of rebirth for Koti (ten million) of kalpas, will not sever the seed of Bodhi (enlightenment), will not lose the Bodhicitta (the mind of enlightenment for the benefit of all beings), will forever extinguish all sins, and will attain the Sambhogakaya (the reward body of the Buddha). If a person recites this for a full seven days, that person will attain pure divine vision. If a person hears this and constantly remembers it, that person will surely attain Bodhi. The roots of goodness created in past lives will also manifest. If one transmits this to another person, all Anantarika-karma (five heinous offenses) will be completely eradicated, and the cycle of rebirth will be forever severed. That person will not be harmed by water, fire, or thieves, and furthermore, their faculties will not be deficient, diseases will not arise, and they will not be possessed by ghosts or demons. They will be loved and respected by all, and in future lives, they will uphold the Tathagata.

【English Translation】 English version: To offer the subtle Dharma to all Buddhas. If a person hears this and rejoices in their heart, and pays homage with praise, the merit of this person is immeasurable and boundless. In every lifetime, a wondrous fragrance will emanate from their mouth, extending a full Yojana (Yojana, an ancient Indian unit of distance). Light will constantly shine from every pore of their body, always illuminating themselves. They will constantly perform the victorious deeds of the Tathagata (Tathagata, title of the Buddha), like Ananda (Ananda, one of the ten principal disciples of the Buddha), possessing such inconceivable merits.
