如是我聞。一時薄伽梵在摩伽陀國無垢園寶光明池中。與大菩薩眾。及大聲聞僧。天龍藥叉健闥婆阿蘇羅迦樓羅緊那羅摩睺羅伽人非人等。無量百千眾俱前後圍繞。

爾時眾中有一大婆羅門。名無垢妙光。多聞聰慧人所樂見。常奉十善。於三寶所決定信向。善心殷重智慧微細。常欲令一切眾生相應善利。大富豐饒資具圓滿。時彼婆羅門無垢妙光。從座而起往詣佛所。繞佛七匝。以眾香花奉獻世尊。無價妙衣瓔珞珠鬘持覆佛上。頂禮雙足卻住一面。作是請言。唯愿世尊與諸大眾。明日晨朝至我宅中受我供養。

爾時世尊默然許之。時婆羅門知佛受請。遽還所住。即於是夜廣辦肴膳百味飲食。張施殿宇種種莊嚴。至明旦已與諸眷屬。持眾香花及諸伎樂。至如來所白言。時至愿赴我請。今正是時。愿垂聽許。

爾時,世尊默然許之。時婆羅門知佛受請,遽還所住。即於是夜廣辦肴膳百味飲食,張施殿宇種種莊嚴。至明旦已與諸眷屬,持眾香花及諸伎樂,至如來所白言:『時至愿赴我請。今正是時。愿垂聽許。』

爾時,世尊安慰彼婆羅門無垢妙光已顧視大眾告言:『汝等皆應往彼婆羅門家。為欲令』

【English Translation】 English version The Dhāraṇī Sutra of the Heart Secret of All Tathāgatas, the Entire Body Relic Treasure Chest Seal

Translated by the Tripiṭaka Śramaṇa Amoghavajra of Da Xingshan Temple, with the title Grand Master, Greatly Wise, and holding the position of Minister of Ceremonies, Third Rank, Special Advance, Duke of Su State, enjoying a fief of three thousand households, bestowed with purple robes, posthumously granted the title Grand Commandant, and posthumously named Dajian, under imperial decree.

Thus have I heard. At one time, the Bhagavan (World Honored One) was in the Immaculate Garden, by the Jeweled Light Pond, in the country of Magadha (an ancient Indian kingdom), together with a great assembly of Bodhisattvas, great Śrāvakas (voice-hearers), and countless hundreds of thousands of beings, including devas (gods), nāgas (dragons), yakṣas (demons), gandharvas (celestial musicians), asuras (demigods), garuḍas (eagles), kinnaras (celestial musicians), mahoragas (serpent deities), humans, and non-humans, all surrounding him.

At that time, in the assembly, there was a great Brahmin named Immaculate Wonderful Light, who was learned, wise, and pleasing to all. He constantly upheld the ten virtues, had unwavering faith in the Three Jewels, possessed a kind and earnest heart, subtle wisdom, and always desired to bring benefit and happiness to all beings. He was wealthy, abundant, and possessed complete resources. Then, that Brahmin, Immaculate Wonderful Light, arose from his seat, went to where the Buddha was, circumambulated him seven times, offered the World Honored One various fragrant flowers, covered the Buddha with priceless wonderful clothes, necklaces, and jeweled garlands, prostrated at his feet, and stood to one side, making this request: 『May the World Honored One, together with the great assembly, come to my home tomorrow morning to receive my offerings.』

At that time, the World Honored One silently accepted the invitation. When the Brahmin knew that the Buddha had accepted his invitation, he hurriedly returned to his dwelling. That very night, he prepared a wide array of delicious foods and drinks, and decorated the palace with various ornaments. The next morning, he and his family members brought various fragrant flowers and musical instruments to where the Tathagata (another name for Buddha) was, and said: 『The time has come, may you fulfill my request. Now is the right time. May you deign to listen and grant permission.』

At that time, the World Honored One comforted the Brahmin Immaculate Wonderful Light, looked at the assembly, and said: 『All of you should go to the Brahmin's house, in order to』


彼獲大利故。於時世尊即從座起。才起座已。從佛身出種種光明。間錯妙色照觸十方。悉皆警覺一切。如來既警覺已。然後取道。時婆羅門以恭敬心。持妙香花與諸眷屬及天龍八部釋梵護世。先行治道奉引如來。爾時世尊前路不遠。中止一園名曰豐財。于彼園中有古朽塔。摧壞崩倒荊棘所沒。榛草充遍覆諸礓礫。狀若土堆。

As soon as he rose, various lights emanated from the Buddha's body, interspersed with wondrous colors, illuminating and touching the ten directions, fully awakening all. 【English Translation】 English version Where the stupa is located, there are great merits and great power, capable of fulfilling all auspiciousness and joy. At that time, the assembly, hearing the Buddha's discourse, were freed from dust and defilements, as well as accompanying afflictions, and attained the pure Dharma eye. Among them, some attained the Sotapanna-fruit (Sotapanna-fruit, Stream-enterer), some attained the Sakadagami-fruit (Sakadagami-fruit, Once-returner), some attained the Anagami-fruit (Anagami-fruit, Non-returner), and some attained the Arhat-fruit (Arahat-fruit, Worthy One). Some attained the Pratyekabuddha-path (Pratyekabuddha-path, Solitary Buddha path), some entered the Bodhisattva stage, some attained the Avaivartika (Avaivartika, Non-retrogression) stage, some received predictions of Bodhi (Bodhi, Enlightenment), some attained the first Bhumi, the second Bhumi, and even the tenth Bhumi, and some fulfilled the Six Paramitas (Six Paramitas, Six Perfections). If there are good men, good women, Bhikshus, Bhikshunis, Upasakas, Upasikas who write this Sutra, it is equivalent to writing the Sutras spoken by ninety-nine hundred thousand kotis (koti, Indian unit of measurement) of Tathagatas, as numerous as sesame seeds. It is equivalent to planting good roots in those ninety-nine hundred thousand kotis of Tathagatas, as numerous as sesame seeds. It is equivalent to being protected and embraced by those Tathagatas. If someone recites this Sutra, it is equivalent to reciting the Sutras spoken by all the Buddhas of the past. If one upholds this Sutra, then the ninety-nine hundred thousand kotis of Tathagatas, as numerous as sesame seeds, in the ten directions, the Perfectly Enlightened Ones, all those Tathagatas in each and every direction, will remotely add protection, manifesting their bodies day and night. If someone makes offerings to this Sutra, using flowers, incense, scented paste, flower garlands, clothing, and adornments, it is equivalent to creating heavenly wonderful flowers, wonderful incense, clothing, and adornments, made of the seven treasures, piled up like Mount Sumeru (Mount Sumeru), before those ninety-nine hundred thousand kotis of Tathagatas in the ten directions, and making offerings, planting good roots in the same way.' 塔現為土聚。佛告金剛手。此非土聚乃是七寶所成大寶塔耳。複次金剛手由諸眾生業果故隱。非如來全身而可毀壞。豈有如來金剛藏身而可壞也。但以眾生業果因緣。示現隱耳。複次金剛手。後世末法逼迫時。多有眾生習行非法。應墮地獄。不求佛法僧不種殖善根。為是因緣妙法當隱。唯除此塔。以一切如來神力所持故。以是事故我今流淚。彼諸如來亦以是事悉皆流淚。爾時金剛手菩薩白佛言。世尊若有人書寫此經安置塔中獲幾所福。佛告金剛手。若人書寫此經置塔中者。是塔即為一切如來金剛藏窣堵波。亦為一切如來陀羅尼心秘密加持窣堵波。即為九十九百千俱胝如胡麻如來窣堵波。亦為一切如來佛頂佛眼窣堵波。即為一切如來神力所護。若於佛形像中安置。及於一切窣堵波中。安置此經者。其像即為七寶所成。其窣堵波亦為七寶傘蓋。珠網露槃交結德字鈴鐸純為七寶。一切如來於此法要加其威力。以誠實言本誓加持。若有有情能於此塔種殖善根。必定於阿耨多羅三藐三菩提得不退轉。乃至應墮阿鼻地獄若於此塔一禮拜一圍繞必得解脫。皆得不退轉于阿耨多羅三藐三菩提。塔及形像所在之處。一切如來神力所護。其處不為惡風雷雹霹靂所害。又復不為毒蛇毒蟲毒獸所傷。不為惡星怪鳥鸚鵡鴝鵒蟲鼠虎狼蜂蠆之所傷害

Because of this cause, the wonderful Dharma will be hidden, except for this stupa. Because it is upheld by the divine power of all the Tathagatas. For this reason, I am now shedding tears. Those Tathagatas are also all shedding tears because of this matter.' At that time, Vajrapani Bodhisattva asked the Buddha: 'World Honored One, if someone writes this sutra and places it in the stupa, how much merit will they obtain?' The Buddha told Vajrapani: 'If someone writes this sutra and places it in the stupa, that stupa will become the Vajra-dhātu Stūpa of all the Tathagatas, and also the secret empowerment Stūpa of the Dharani (mantra) heart of all the Tathagatas, that is, ninety-nine hundred thousand kotis (a unit of measurement in ancient India, meaning ten million) of Tathagata stupas like sesame seeds, and also the Stūpa of the Buddha's crown and Buddha's eye of all the Tathagatas, that is, protected by the divine power of all the Tathagatas. If this sutra is placed in the image of the Buddha, and in all the stupas, then the image will be made of seven treasures, and the stupa will also be a seven-treasure umbrella cover, with a jeweled net, dew plate, intertwined virtues, and bells all made of seven treasures. All the Tathagatas add their power to this Dharma essence, and uphold it with truthful words and original vows. If any sentient being can plant roots of goodness in this stupa, they will surely attain non-retrogression in Anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi (unsurpassed perfect enlightenment). Even those who should fall into Avīci (the lowest level of the eight great hells), if they bow once and circumambulate this stupa once, they will surely be liberated, and all will attain non-retrogression in Anuttarā-samyak-saṃbodhi. Wherever the stupa and the image are located, they are protected by the divine power of all the Tathagatas, and that place will not be harmed by evil winds, thunder, hail, or lightning, nor will it be harmed by poisonous snakes, poisonous insects, or poisonous beasts, nor will it be harmed by evil stars, strange birds, parrots, mynas, insects, rats, tigers, wolves, bees, or scorpions.'

Nor will one be infected by all kinds of cold and heat diseases, scrofula, carbuncles, poisonous sores, scabies, mange, and leprosy. If a person temporarily sees this stupa, all these will be eliminated. In that place, there will be no epidemics among people, horses, or cattle, nor epidemics among boys and girls. Nor will one die prematurely due to accidents, nor be harmed by knives, sticks, water, or fire, nor be invaded by other enemies, nor be oppressed by famine, nor be troubled by enchantments and curses. The Four Great Heavenly Kings and their retinues will protect it day and night. The twenty-eight great Yaksha generals, as well as the sun, moon, stars, and comets, will protect it day and night. All the Dragon Kings will increase their essence and rain in due season. All the gods and the gods of Trayastrimsa Heaven (Trayastrimsa Heaven, one of the six heavens of the desire realm) will descend three times a day, also for the sake of making offerings and paying homage to the stupa. Sakyamuni Tathagata, able to speak such vast Dharma essence, placing such a Dharma treasure in Jambudvipa (Jambudvipa) (the world we live in), bringing benefit, joy, peace, and security to all sentient beings. If there are good men and good women who place this Dharma essence, placing this Dharani in pagodas and images, then we, the Buddhas of the ten directions, will constantly follow them wherever they are, at all times, blessing and protecting them with supernatural powers and vows.'

At that time, the World Honored One, having recited this Great Entire Body Relic Treasure Chest Seal Dharani and performed extensive Buddha deeds, then went to the house of that Brahmin (Brahmin) (ancient Indian priestly class), received offerings, and caused countless gods and humans to obtain great blessings, before returning to his dwelling.
