佛說食施獲五福報經

失譯人名今附東晉錄

聞如是:

一時,佛在舍衛國祇樹給孤獨園。佛告諸比丘:「當知食以節度,受而不損。」

佛言:「人持飯食施人,有五福德令人得道,智者訊息意度弘廓,則獲五福。何等為五?一曰施命,二曰施色,三曰施力,四曰施安,五曰施辯。

「何謂施命?人不得食時,顏色燋悴不可顯示,不過七日奄忽壽終,是故智者則為施食,其施食者則為施命。其施命者,世世長壽生天世間,壽命延長而不夭傷,自然福報財富無量,是為施命。

「何謂施色?人不得食時,顏色憔悴不可顯示,是故智者則為施食,其施食者則為施色。其施色者,世世端正生天世間,顏華煒曄人見歡喜稽首作禮,是為施色。

「何謂施力?人不得食時,身羸意弱所作不能,是故智者則為施食,其施食者則為施力。其施力者,世世多力,生天人間力無等雙,出入進止力不耗減,是為施力。

「何謂施安?人不得食時,心愁身危坐起不定不能自安,是故智者則為施食,其施食者則為施安。其施安者,世世安隱,生天人間不遇眾殃,其所到處常遇賢良,財富無量不中夭傷,是為施安。

「何謂施辯?人不得食時,身羸意弱口不能言,是故智者則為施食,其施食者則為施辯。其施辯者,世世聰明,口說流利無所躓礙,慧辯通達,生天世間,聞者歡喜靡不稽首聽采法言

現代漢語譯本 佛說施食能獲得五種福報的經文 這是我聽到的: 一時,佛陀在舍衛國的祇樹給孤獨園。佛陀告訴眾比丘:『應當知道飲食要有節制,接受食物而不應浪費。』 佛陀說:『人們拿飯食佈施給他人,有五種福德能使人得道,有智慧的人能理解並擴充套件其意義,就能獲得這五種福報。這五種福報是什麼呢?第一是施命,第二是施色,第三是施力,第四是施安,第五是施辯。』 『什麼是施命呢?人沒有食物時,臉色憔悴,難以示人,活不過七天就會突然死亡。因此,有智慧的人會佈施食物,佈施食物就是佈施生命。佈施生命的人,世世代代會長壽,生於天上或人間,壽命延長而不會夭折,自然會有無量的福報和財富,這就是施命。』 『什麼是施色呢?人沒有食物時,臉色憔悴,難以示人。因此,有智慧的人會佈施食物,佈施食物就是佈施容貌。佈施容貌的人,世世代代會相貌端正,生於天上或人間,容光煥發,人們見到會歡喜地頂禮膜拜,這就是施色。』 『什麼是施力呢?人沒有食物時,身體虛弱,意志消沉,什麼都做不了。因此,有智慧的人會佈施食物,佈施食物就是佈施力量。佈施力量的人,世世代代會力大無窮,生於天上或人間,力量無人能比,出入行走力量不會衰減,這就是施力。』 『什麼是施安呢?人沒有食物時,內心憂愁,身體不安,坐立不定,不能自安。因此,有智慧的人會佈施食物,佈施食物就是佈施安穩。佈施安穩的人,世世代代會安穩,生於天上或人間不會遭遇災禍,所到之處常遇賢良,財富無量不會中途夭折,這就是施安。』 『什麼是施辯呢?人沒有食物時,身體虛弱,意志消沉,口不能言。因此,有智慧的人會佈施食物,佈施食物就是佈施辯才。佈施辯才的人,世世代代會聰明,口才流利,說話沒有障礙,智慧通達,生於天上或人間,聽聞的人會歡喜地頂禮膜拜,聽取佛法。』

English version The Sutra on the Five Blessings Gained by Giving Food, Spoken by the Buddha Thus have I heard: At one time, the Buddha was in the Jeta Grove of Anathapindika in Shravasti. The Buddha told the monks, 'You should know that eating should be done with moderation, receiving food without wasting it.' The Buddha said, 'When people give food to others, there are five blessings that enable one to attain the Way. The wise understand and expand upon this meaning, and thus gain these five blessings. What are these five? First is giving life, second is giving appearance, third is giving strength, fourth is giving peace, and fifth is giving eloquence.' 'What is giving life? When people have no food, their faces become gaunt and unsightly, and they cannot live more than seven days before suddenly dying. Therefore, the wise give food, and giving food is giving life. Those who give life will have long lives in every lifetime, whether born in heaven or in the human realm. Their lives will be extended and they will not die young. They will naturally have immeasurable blessings and wealth. This is giving life.' 'What is giving appearance? When people have no food, their faces become gaunt and unsightly. Therefore, the wise give food, and giving food is giving appearance. Those who give appearance will have beautiful appearances in every lifetime, whether born in heaven or in the human realm. Their faces will be radiant, and people will be happy to bow and pay respects. This is giving appearance.' 'What is giving strength? When people have no food, their bodies become weak, their wills become feeble, and they cannot do anything. Therefore, the wise give food, and giving food is giving strength. Those who give strength will have great strength in every lifetime, whether born in heaven or in the human realm. Their strength will be unmatched, and their strength will not diminish when they go out or come in. This is giving strength.' 'What is giving peace? When people have no food, their hearts become troubled, their bodies become uneasy, and they cannot sit or stand still. Therefore, the wise give food, and giving food is giving peace. Those who give peace will have peace in every lifetime, whether born in heaven or in the human realm. They will not encounter disasters, and they will always meet virtuous people wherever they go. They will have immeasurable wealth and will not die young. This is giving peace.' 'What is giving eloquence? When people have no food, their bodies become weak, their wills become feeble, and they cannot speak. Therefore, the wise give food, and giving food is giving eloquence. Those who give eloquence will be intelligent in every lifetime, their speech will be fluent and without hindrance, their wisdom will be profound, and whether born in heaven or in the human realm, those who hear them will be happy to bow and pay respects, and listen to the Dharma.'


。是為五福施食之報。」

佛言:「若族姓子、族姓女,若發道意,施一切飲食衣被,在所生處見現在佛咨受三法,四意三脫致十種力,三十二相八十種好,進止十方猶如日出,暉暉有光遍照十方教化一切,般泥洹后經法續現,奉之得度與佛無二。」

佛說是時,天龍鬼神、世間人民,帝主大臣、四輩弟子,靡不歡喜,為佛作禮

現代漢語譯本:這是因為施捨食物能獲得五福的果報。 佛說:『如果善男信女發了修道的意願,佈施一切飲食和衣物,那麼他們無論轉生到哪裡,都能見到現在的佛,接受三法,領悟四意三脫,最終獲得十種力量,三十二種相好,八十種隨形好。他們行走於十方,如同日出一般,光輝普照十方,教化一切眾生。在佛陀涅槃之後,佛法仍然會延續顯現,奉行佛法的人就能得度,與佛無異。』 佛陀說完這些話時,天龍鬼神、世間人民、帝王大臣、四眾弟子,沒有不歡喜的,都向佛陀頂禮。

English version: 'This is the karmic reward for giving food, which brings the five blessings.' The Buddha said, 'If sons and daughters of good families develop the aspiration for the path and give all food and clothing, wherever they are born, they will see the present Buddha, receive the three teachings, understand the four intentions and three liberations, ultimately attaining the ten powers, the thirty-two marks, and the eighty minor marks. They will move in the ten directions like the rising sun, their light shining everywhere, teaching all beings. After the Buddha's Nirvana, the Dharma will continue to appear, and those who follow it will be liberated, becoming no different from the Buddha.' When the Buddha finished speaking, the gods, dragons, ghosts, spirits, people of the world, emperors, ministers, and the fourfold assembly of disciples were all delighted and bowed to the Buddha.
