English version The Buddha was in Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Park in Shravasti. At that time, King Pasenadi had a dream during the night, in which he saw ten things. What were these ten things? The first was seeing three jars placed side by side, the two on the sides were full, and the one in the middle was empty. The water in the two full jars was boiling, and the steam was flowing back and forth, but it did not enter the empty jar in the middle. The second was seeing a horse eating with both its mouth and its rear. The third was seeing a small tree blooming. The fourth was seeing a small tree bearing fruit. The fifth was seeing a person cutting a rope, and behind the person was a sheep eating the rope. The sixth was seeing a fox sitting on a fine bed, eating with golden utensils. The seventh was seeing a large cow suckling milk from a small calf. The eighth was seeing four cows coming from four directions, bellowing and wanting to fight each other, but when they were about to meet, they didn't know where the cows were. The ninth was seeing a large pond, the water in the middle was muddy, and the water around the edges was clear. The tenth was seeing a stream flowing with red water. After the king had the dream, he woke up, very frightened, worried that his country and himself would perish. The next day, the king summoned his ministers and the Brahmins who understood how to interpret dreams. They all came before the king, and the king told them about the ten things he had dreamed of during the night, asking who could explain these dreams. Those who understood how to interpret dreams said, 'We can explain it, but we are afraid that the king will not be happy to hear it.' The king said, 'Speak, according to what you know.' The Brahmins then explained to the king, saying, 'You should kill the crown prince to sacrifice to the heavenly king, and also kill the queen to sacrifice to the heavenly king, and also kill the servants and maids around you to sacrifice to the heavenly king, and also kill all the white elephants to sacrifice to the heavenly king, and also kill the beloved good horses to sacrifice to the heavenly king. All the bedding and the precious and good things you wear should be burned to sacrifice to the heavenly king, and then the king himself will have no misfortune.' When the king heard the Brahmins interpret the dream like this, he was very worried and went back to his meditation room to think. This king had a wife named Mallika, who came to the king's meditation room and asked, 'Why are you in the meditation room, worried? Is it because I have done something wrong?' The king said, 'You should not ask, if you hear it, it will make you worried.' The wife asked again, 'What is the reason for your worry?' The king said, 'There is no need to ask again, hearing it will make you worried.' The wife said again, 'I am half of the king's body, if the king has urgent matters, you should tell me.' The king then told her, 'Last night I dreamed of ten things.'

When people buy gold, they rub it on a whetstone, and the good or bad color will appear on the stone. Now the Buddha is at the Jeta Grove, and Ananda and Anathapindika are also there. We can go and ask the Buddha about the meaning of the dream. If the Buddha can interpret it, we will follow what the Buddha says.』 Then the king ordered his attendants to prepare the chariots and horses. Once they were ready, the king rode in a high-canopied chariot named Bharayana. Thousands of chariots and horses followed the king from Shravasti to the Jeta Grove, the residence of Ananda and Anathapindika. The king slowly walked along the path, got out of the chariot, and walked to where the Buddha was. He approached the Buddha, touched the Buddha』s feet with his head, and then sat down and said to the Buddha, 『Last night, I dreamt of ten things. People of later generations will not fear the law, they will all be licentious and greedy, not satisfied with one wife, often angry and foolish, and without shame. The king dreamed of three bottles side by side, the two on the sides were full, and the one in the middle was empty. The gas from the two full bottles flowed back and forth, but did not enter the empty bottle. This means that people of later generations will not help the poor. Two wealthy families among close relatives will give gifts to each other. The king dreamed of this, and it is precisely for this reason. King, do not be afraid, do not be afraid! It will not have any other adverse effects on the country, on yourself, or on your wife and children. The king dreamed of a horse eating with both its mouth and its rear, which means that ministers of later generations will receive salaries from the government and also extort from the people. 。

English version: The rain master appears strange because he wants the emperors, officials, and people to fear heaven and earth, not to indulge in lust, not to be greedy, to adhere to monogamy, to be compassionate and not to be angry. The king's dream of eight things is precisely for this reason. Your Majesty, do not be afraid! It will not harm the country, yourself, or your wife and children. The king's dream of a large pond with muddy water in the center and clear water around the edges means that future people in Jambudvipa will be unfilial to their parents, disrespectful to elders, without reflection, and disregard the future, while people in remote areas will be filial to their parents, respectful to elders, and have reflection. The king's dream of nine things is precisely for this reason. Your Majesty, do not be afraid! It will not harm the country, yourself, or your wife and children. The king's dream of a large pond with completely red water means that future kings will not be satisfied with their own countries and will start wars, and the people will also rise up in arms to fight each other, creating chariot soldiers, cavalry, and infantry, and they will kill each other with chariot soldiers, cavalry, and infantry, with blood flowing like a river. The king's dream of ten things is precisely for this reason. Your Majesty, do not be afraid! It will not harm the country, yourself, or your wife and children. These dreams are all predictions of things that will happen in the future. Upon hearing this, the king immediately knelt down and said, 'Having received the teachings of Buddhism, I feel very happy, like a person holding a small container to receive ointment. If there is too much ointment and the container is too small, one would want to change to a larger container. Having obtained a larger container, one can hold more, and thus be at peace and not afraid.' The king immediately kowtowed and bowed again, then touched the Buddha's feet with his head and face before leaving. Upon returning to the palace, he richly rewarded his principal wife, deprived the dukes and ministers of their salaries, and no longer believed the words of the Brahmins. The Sutra of King Sravasti's Dream of Ten Things According to this sutra, it is a different translation of the same text as the 'Great Love Path Nirvana Chapter' in the 51st volume of the 'Ekottara Agama Sutra'. The current Guoben and Songben have the same meaning, and this version has the same meaning as the Songben but different wording, so it seems not to be the same translation, but it is not known whether it is correct, and one does not dare to arbitrarily choose. However, this Danben is detailed, so it is temporarily preserved for wise people to judge.
