佛說十一想思念如來經

宋天竺三藏求那跋陀羅譯

聞如是:

一時,婆伽婆在羅閱城耆阇崛山中,與大比丘眾二百五十人俱。爾時,世尊告諸比丘:「當以十一想思念如來,已思念當發慈心於如來所。云何為十一?戒意清凈(一也)。威儀具足(二也)。諸根不錯(三也)。信意不亂(四也)。常有勇健意(五也)。若更苦樂不以為憂(六也)。意不忘失(七也)。止觀現在前(八也)。三昧意無休息(九也)。智慧意無量(十也)。觀佛無厭足(十一也)。如是比丘當以此十一想思念如來,已思念如來,當發慈心於如來所,是謂比丘于比丘中修行唸佛。彼比丘已修行唸佛,於二果當求一果,于現法中得自在,成無餘阿那含。」

爾時,諸比丘聞佛所說,歡喜奉行。

一時,婆伽婆在舍衛城祇樹給孤獨園。是時,世尊告諸比丘:「若慈心解脫,親近廣佈,修行以辦,獲使起善具足,便當有十一報、十一果。云何為十一?臥安、覺安、不見惡夢、天護、人愛、非人所敬、不毒、不兵、水火不喪、亦不加刑、身壞命終生善處梵天上。于諸善法速得捷疾,智慧盡有漏行。比丘!慈心解脫,親近廣佈,修行以辦,以獲便起善具足,當有此十一法。是故,諸比丘!當求方便慈心解脫,如是諸比丘當作是學。」

爾時,諸比丘聞佛所說,歡喜奉行

現代漢語譯本 如是我聞: 一時,佛陀在王舍城耆阇崛山中,與二百五十位大比丘在一起。當時,世尊告訴眾比丘:『應當以十一種想法思念如來,思念之後應當對如來生起慈悲心。哪十一種呢?戒律清凈(第一)。威儀具足(第二)。諸根不亂(第三)。信心不散亂(第四)。常有勇猛精進之心(第五)。如果遇到苦樂,不因此而憂愁(第六)。心不忘失正念(第七)。止觀現前(第八)。三昧禪定不間斷(第九)。智慧廣大無量(第十)。觀佛永不厭足(第十一)。比丘們應當以這十一種想法思念如來,思念如來之後,應當對如來生起慈悲心,這就是比丘在比丘中修行唸佛。那些修行唸佛的比丘,在二果中應當求得一果,在現世中獲得自在,成就無餘阿那含果。』 當時,眾比丘聽聞佛陀所說,歡喜奉行。 一時,佛陀在舍衛城祇樹給孤獨園。當時,世尊告訴眾比丘:『如果慈心解脫,親近廣佈,修行圓滿,獲得善法具足,就會有十一種報應、十一種果報。哪十一種呢?睡眠安穩、醒來安穩、不做惡夢、天神守護、眾人愛戴、非人尊敬、不中毒害、不遭兵禍、不被水火所傷、也不受刑罰、身壞命終后往生善處梵天之上。對於各種善法,迅速獲得成就,智慧能夠斷盡有漏之行。比丘們,慈心解脫,親近廣佈,修行圓滿,獲得善法具足,就會有這十一種果報。因此,比丘們,應當尋求方便修習慈心解脫,比丘們應當這樣學習。』

English version Thus have I heard: At one time, the Bhagavan was dwelling on Mount Gijjhakuta in Rajagriha, together with a large assembly of two hundred and fifty bhikkhus. At that time, the World-Honored One addressed the bhikkhus, saying: 'You should contemplate the Tathagata with eleven thoughts, and having contemplated, you should generate loving-kindness towards the Tathagata. What are the eleven? Purity of moral conduct (first). Completeness of deportment (second). Undisturbed senses (third). Unwavering faith (fourth). Constant courage and vigor (fifth). Not being troubled by pleasure or pain (sixth). Not losing mindfulness (seventh). Presence of calm and insight (eighth). Uninterrupted samadhi (ninth). Immeasurable wisdom (tenth). Never being satiated in beholding the Buddha (eleventh). Bhikkhus, you should contemplate the Tathagata with these eleven thoughts, and having contemplated the Tathagata, you should generate loving-kindness towards the Tathagata. This is what is meant by a bhikkhu practicing mindfulness of the Buddha among bhikkhus. Those bhikkhus who have practiced mindfulness of the Buddha, among the two fruits, should seek one fruit, and in the present life, they will attain freedom and achieve the state of Anagami without remainder.' At that time, the bhikkhus, having heard what the Buddha had said, rejoiced and practiced accordingly. At one time, the Bhagavan was dwelling in Jeta's Grove, Anathapindika's Park, in Shravasti. At that time, the World-Honored One addressed the bhikkhus, saying: 'If loving-kindness liberation is cultivated, practiced extensively, and brought to completion, and if one obtains the full measure of good qualities, then there will be eleven rewards and eleven fruits. What are the eleven? Sleeping peacefully, waking peacefully, not having bad dreams, being protected by devas, being loved by humans, being respected by non-humans, not being poisoned, not being harmed by weapons, not being destroyed by water or fire, not being subjected to punishment, and upon the dissolution of the body, being reborn in a good place in the Brahma heavens. One will quickly attain success in all good dharmas, and one's wisdom will exhaust all defiled actions. Bhikkhus, loving-kindness liberation, cultivated, practiced extensively, and brought to completion, and if one obtains the full measure of good qualities, will have these eleven results. Therefore, bhikkhus, you should seek the means to cultivate loving-kindness liberation. Thus, bhikkhus, you should train yourselves.'
