諸佛子等合掌至心聽。我今欲說大乘楞伽悉談章。悉談章者。悉談昔大乘在楞伽山。因得菩提達摩和尚。宋家元年從南天竹國。將楞伽經來至東都。跋陀三藏法師奉咨翻譯。其經總有五卷合成一部。文字浩𣵡意義難知。和上慈悲廣濟郡品。通經問道識攬懸宗。窮達本原皆蒙指受。又蒿山會善沙門定慧翻出悉談章。廣開禪門不妨慧學。不著文字併合秦音。彼與鳩摩羅什法師通韻。魯留盧樓為首。
頗邏墮頗邏墮。第一舍緣清凈座。萬事不起真無我。直進菩提離因果。心心寂滅無殃禍。唸唸無念當印可。摩底利摩魯留盧樓頗羅墮 諸佛子莫懶墮自勸課。愛河苦海須度過。憶食不餐常被餓。木頭不攢不出火。耶羅邏端坐。娑訶耶莫臥。

【English Translation】 English version All you Buddha's disciples, join your palms and listen with utmost sincerity. I am now about to speak about the 'Siddham Chapter' of the Mahayana Lankavatara Sutra. This 'Siddham Chapter' tells of the past situation of Mahayana Buddhism on Mount Lanka. It was because Bodhidharma arrived, who, during the Yuanjia era of the Song Dynasty, brought the Lankavatara Sutra from South India to the Eastern Capital. The Tripitaka master Bhadra was ordered to translate it. This sutra has a total of five volumes. The text is vast and the meaning is difficult to understand. The Venerable Bodhidharma was compassionate, widely relieving the people of the region, understanding the scriptures, inquiring about the Buddha's path, recognizing and grasping the profound tenets, and thoroughly understanding the fundamental origins, all of which were instructed and transmitted by him. Furthermore, the Shramana Dinghui of Huishan Temple on Mount Song translated the 'Siddham Chapter', widely opening the gate of Chan, without hindering the study of wisdom. It does not adhere to the text and conforms to the Qin pronunciation. He and the Tripitaka master Kumarajiva shared similar phonetics, with 'Lu Liu Lu Lou' as the head.
Phala-da (fruit-giver) Phala-da (fruit-giver). The first is to abandon conditions and abide in a pure meditation seat. When all things do not arise, one realizes true non-self. Go straight to Bodhi, transcending cause and effect. When mind after mind is extinguished, there is no calamity. When thought after thought is without thought, it should be affirmed. Mati-li (wisdom) Ma Lu Liu Lu Lou Phala-da (fruit-giver). All you Buddha's disciples, do not be lazy, but encourage each other. The river of love and the sea of suffering must be crossed. Only thinking of eating but not eating, constantly enduring hunger. If wood is not drilled, fire will not come out. Yelo-lo sit upright. Suo-he-ye do not lie down.
Zhi-ling-sheng Zhi-ling-sheng. The second is to abide in the mind, constantly observing purity. Seeing and hearing, transcending sight and sound. The extinction of both arising and ceasing is because one has not yet realized it. Receiving instruction from a teacher is the only way to reveal samadhi. Seeing the Dharma body of the Buddha, there is no duality. Xing Ding Ling Jing Lu Liu Lu Lou Zhi-ling-sheng. All you Buddha's disciples, do not be angry and flattering. If the three poisons suddenly arise, there is no Buddha-nature. A crazy and chaotic mind troubles the virtuous and the saints. The eyes are greedy for form and dust, and the ears are bound by sound. Turning away from heaven and heading towards evil paths. Ying-ling now practice samadhi. Suo-he-ye return to the right path.
Ga-lang-yang Ga-lang-yang. The third is to guard the mind, it must be frank. Sweep away filth and eliminate disasters. That is, form is emptiness, comprehending no-thought. Delusional thoughts and distinctions

【English Translation】 English version: Do not discriminate in your mind's capacity. Recognizing the essence on the body, there is truly no slander. 'Bang di li bang lu liu lu lou ga lang yang' (transliteration, part of a mantra). All Buddha's disciples, do not slander. All slander creates sinful obstacles. Do not easily negate others upon hearing their voices. The three-inch tongue creates right and wrong. Speaking of others' strengths and weaknesses disturbs the mind-king (the mind). If the mind-king cannot discern right from wrong, but speaks of strengths and weaknesses, in the next life, one will suffer in the path of karma. 'Yang liang liang bing dang jing sao' (transliteration, part of a mantra, possibly also referring to cleaning thoroughly). Offerings are made in the hall with reverence.
'Fu su zhi fu su zhi' (transliteration, part of a mantra). The fourth and eighth consciousnesses combine with the sixth and seventh. Observe the mind; the mind is inherently a meditation chamber. The Dharmakaya (Dharma body), the body, the Dharma, and wisdom are not separate. Possessing the five eyes and six supernatural powers, wisdom shines like the sun. Upon hearing, one immediately realizes there is truly no secret. 'Mi di li mi lu liu lu lou fu su zhi' (transliteration, part of a mantra). All Buddha's disciples, do not be lax. From beginningless time, one has resided in a dark room. One cannot escape the cycle of birth and death. It is only because of ignorance and delusion that the sun of wisdom is obscured. 'Xiao liao yao xiao liao yao' (transliteration, part of a mantra). Fifth, illuminate within the gate of true reality. All fame and gain are false calls. Like stillness, appearances are not true appearances. Neither cause nor effect, without anger. Observing the nature from the nature, it is the most wondrous of wonders. 'Yao di li yao lu liu lu lou xiao liao yao' (transliteration, part of a mantra). All Buddha's disciples, do not be angry. Worry, sorrow, and anger are obstacles to the path. In this path, there should be no anger. To purify the mind, one must observe both internally and externally. If there are obstructions in the eyes, they must be polished. A bronze mirror, if not polished, cannot reflect. 'Yao liao liao zuo hao' (transliteration, part of a mantra). 'Suo he ye mo nao' (transliteration, part of a mantra, do not be vexed).
'An lai pan an lai pan' (transliteration, part of a mantra). Sixth, the mind departs from the contemplation of the meditation gate. Neither coming nor going, without boundaries. Using awakening to observe awakening, remove the chaos in meditation. Buddha's disciples and sentient beings are of the same essence. The original source is pure; the dust of defilement is scattered, praised. 'Di li tan lu liu lu lou an lai pan' (transliteration, part of a mantra). All Buddha's disciples, do not stare blankly. On the path, there are many Rakshasas (demons) calling. Foolish people are constantly bound as they come and go. Attached to the dust of form, the mind is confused. Walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, there is no order. Shouting randomly in the crowd. Upon receiving advice, one becomes stubborn. 'Ye luo luo tuo guan' (transliteration, part of a mantra). 'Suo he ye dun han' (transliteration, part of a mantra, dull person).
'Pu lu yu pu lu yu' (transliteration, part of a mantra). Seventh, perfect and bright great wisdom is awakened. The four gates and eighteen realms transcend names and numbers. Birth and death, wondrous existence, are all thoroughly penetrated. The great master of the three realms is truly difficult to encounter. Birth and death, Nirvana, are not (Birth and death and Nirvana are not different).
合渡。愛河逆上不留住。即心非心魔自去。去底利去魯留盧樓普路喻 諸佛子常覺悟。一念凈心無染污。一切魔軍自然去。閭閭屢專注。娑訶耶大悟。
